Chapter 11: First Two Spiders, Now Two Pigs
Raining cats and dogs is what normal people would say when it's raining, and Hell is experiencing one hell of a storm outside one evening. The rain pours down hard and thunder and lightning clashes in the sky. The rain is so awful and pouring down that there isn't anyone on the streets, not even on the sidewalk and lots of the stores and shops close due to the storm.
In the lobby of the Hazbin Hotel, Crystal and Lilac see the awful storm outside. There is the loud sound of thunder, followed by lightning as the rain continues to pour from the sky.
"This has to be the worst storm I've ever seen," Crystal says.
"I have to agree. It looks really bad outside," Lilac says.
Then turns to Crystal, "I'm glad that we're inside and not outside."
"You're right," Crystal says.
The girls turn their heads to see the others are in the lobby as well. Charlie and Vaggie are playing chess while Niffty is doing some sewing and Husk is sleeping and Husk is sleeping. Just then, Alastor walks into the lobby with a tray of mugs.
Alastor happily says with his usual smile on his face, "I brought some hot chocolate. Nice hot chocolate is the best way to stay warm from the rain."
"Thanks Alastor," Charlie happily says.
"Yeah. Thank you," Crystal says.
Everyone takes a cup of hot chocolate and drinks it, except for Husk who is fast asleep. Crystal also notices that Angel is nowhere to be seen.
"Um where's Angel?" Crystal asks.
Suddenly, a pink gloved hand sticks out from behind the couch, "Right now."
Crystal walks to the couch and looks over to see Angel sitting down and uses his lower arms to wrap around his knees and Fat Nuggets is next to him. He actually looks really nervous.
In concern, Angel asks, "Are you okay, Angel?"
"I-I'm fine, just feeling a bit w-weary," Angel says, looking uneasy.
The thunder and lighting clashes in the sky again and Angel becomes stiff. It doesn't take long for Crystal to put two and two together.
"Angel, do you not like storms?" Crystal asks.
"N-no… I-I actually really hate it," Angel says, sounding scared.
"It's okay Angel, the storm will pass. The storm will be like this for the whole night, but at least we're all inside nice and warm," Charlie says.
Vaggie looks out the window, "I really don't like how this storm is going. It might cause some damage outside or at the hotel."
"Let's just hope the storm clears soon. Even though storms can be dangerous and it does make me weary as well," Crystal says.
The storm continues on for the whole evening and late in the night. Sometime around midnight, everyone else is fast asleep. In her bedroom, Crystal has awakened from her sleep as she sits up and coughs a little.
She mutters, "I need something to drink."
Crystal gets out of bed and puts on her robe and slippers. She makes her wait to the ground floor and into the kitchen to make herself some tea. Once she finishes, Crystal takes a sip from it and it helps relax her. Suddenly, she hears strange scratching sounds. Curious, the young spider demon walks to the lobby to hear the scratching sound coming from the front door.
Confused, Crystal asks, "Who could be at this hour?"
Crystal walks to the front door and opens it up. She looks outside to see the rain pouring down and doesn't look like it will clear up. She then looks down and to her surprise, she sees a small animal on the ground and it's staring at her.
The animal is a small pig that looks a lot like Fat Nuggets. The difference is that the pig is so light pink that it's almost white. On its back it has black and blue spots, black spikes, a dark blue curly tail, black eyes, and small black horns on its head, The mark on it's left eye is blue and in the shape of a rectangular gemstone cut.
Crystal is surprised to see the little animal, but then shows a smile on her face, She picks the little pig from its front legs and places the animal in her lower arms. Then closes the door.
Crystal snuggles the little pig, "Aww. You're so cute."
Crystal then takes the little pig to her room and runs a warm bath for it. The little pig sits next to Crystal as she checks the water's temperature. When the water is a quarter full and the water is warm she moves her hand around to feel the warmness.
"There. The water is ready," Crystal says.
She then picks up the pig and says, "Alright, let's get you clean up."
Crystal picks up the pig and places it in the water. Surprisingly, the pig seems very calm. Crystal thinks it would have started freaking out or something, but the pig is calm and simply oinks in reply. Crystal then begins to give the pig the bath. She scrubs the soap on the pig until excluding the head, it's body is covered in soapy bubbles.
"You're a very well behaved little guy… or girl," Crystal says.
The pig looks at Crystal as she says, "Here comes the rinse."
The Crystal pours water on the pig until all the soap is gone.
Crystal smiles and says, "There, you're all clean."
Crystal then pulls the plug and the water gets drained down the pipe. The little pig then shakes the water off of its body. Crystal brings out a towel and takes the pig out of the tub. Then places it on the ground and dries it off until the little animal is nice and dry. Once the little piggy is dry, Crystal places the little animal on the bed and she sits on the bed herself.
Crystal then pets the little pig, "You sure are a cute little guy. But where did you come from?"
The little pig lowers its ears and lowers the head. It's looking kind of sad. Crystal saddens to see the sad expression the pig is making.
She then asks, "If you don't have anywhere to stay, you want to stay with me?"
The little pig begins to make a happy expression and snuggles her snout against Crystal's side. Crystal giggles and takes the little pig in her arms. The pets her on the head.
Crystal then notices the appearance the pig has, "You sure are cute and very pretty shade of blue on you…"
Then Crystal notices the blue marking of a rectangular gemstone shape on its eye, "Wow. You have a gem shape on your eye and you really have a lovely blue color, like a sapphire."
Then Crystal has an idea, "Sapphire. I'll call you Sapphire. You like it?"
The pig smiles and then snuggles herself against Crystal's fluffy chest.
"I'll take that as a yes," Crystal says.
She then lays down on the bed as she has the little pig Sapphire tucked in with her.
"I take good care of you, Sapphire," Crystal happily says.
Sapphire oinks in reply.
"Sapphire, you're warm and cozy," Crystal says, and soon falls asleep with the little pig sleeping next to her.
The next day, the rain finally stops and it's a sunny day. Well as sunny as Hell can get. Charlie, Vaggie, and Lilac are setting the table while Angel is sitting on the couch with Fat Nuggets. That is when Crystal walks in, fully dressed and has her lower arms behind her back.
Charlie turns to Crystal and says, "Morning Crystal, you're just in time cause breakfast is almost ready."
"Glad to know," Crystal says with a smile.
Angel walks over looking curious, "What you got behind your back?"
Crystal giggles, catching Charlie, Lilac, and Vaggie's attention. They walk over to see what Crystal has.
"Hey Crystal, what's going on?" Lilac asks.
Crystal can't help but giggle with glee, making Angel and the girls curious. Crystal then takes the little pig from behind her back and shows them to Angel and the others, much to their surprise.
Crystal says, "Guys, this is my new friend, Sapphire."
"Aww! She is so cute!" Charlie happily says and rubs her cheeks with glee.
"Well what do you know. You got yourself a little buddy too. She's actually kind of cute,"Angel says.
Vaggie walks over and asks, "How do you know if it's a girl, it could be a boy?"
Crystal rubs her hand behind her head and says, "I… I did check, and this little pig is a girl."
"I see, but anyway. She is really cute and it looks like Fat Nuggets will have a friend," Charlie says.
Angel picks up Fat Nuggets from the couch and walks to Crystal and little Sapphire.
"Hey Nuggs, looks like you got yourself a new friend," Angel says.
Crystal walks to Angel and says to the pig, "Sapphire, this is Fat Nuggets, Angel's pet pig. Nuggs, this is my new friend, Sapphire."
Both of the spiders place their pets on the ground. Fat Nuggets and Sapphire look at each other and begin to sniff each other with their noses. Fat Nuggets then walks away and pushes a ball towards Sapphire with his nose. He then gently pushes it to Sapphire. Sapphire does the same. Both of the pigs show happy expressions and begin to play with each other with the toy ball.
Charlie smiles and says, "Look at that, they're friends already."
"Yeah. Look how much fun they're having," Lilac says.
Everyone watches as Fat Nuggets and Sapphire play with the ball and are soon running into the kitchen and hear a crashing sound. That makes Angel and the girls grow concerned.
"Uh oh," Angel and the girls reply, concerned.
Walking outside of the kitchen is Alastor holding the two pigs in his arms and walking to Angel.
"I believe this one is yours, Angel," Alastor says, holding out Fat Nuggets.
Angel nervously laughs, "Sorry about that." Then takes the pig.
Alastor then asks, "And who does this one belongs to?"
"Uh, she's mine actually. Alastor, this is Sapphire," Crystal says, sheepishly.
"I see," Alastor says, despite showing a smile, he is not pleased.
Then gives the pig to Sapphire, "Try to be more careful with your pet in future. That includes you, Angel."
"Sorry about that. Do you need some help cleaning up?" Crystal replies.
Alastor laughs, "Ha ha ha! Not to worry, it wasn't a big mess, but do try to take care of your little friends and make sure they don't make another mess."
"Okay," Crystal says.
Sometime later after breakfast, Angel and Crystal are walking with their pet pigs. They soon walk inside the mall to find a pet store for Crystal to buy things for her new pet.
Crystal says, "Thanks for letting me use one of Nuggs' collar and leash, until I can get Sapphire her own, and other stuff for her."
"No problem. Besides, what are friends for," Angel says.
Suddenly, someone calls out, "Yo Angie! Crystal!"
The two turn their heads to see Cherri Bomb walking towards them.
"Hi Cherri," Crystal says.
"Yo Sugar tits," Angel replies.
"Hi Angie. Hey Crystal," Cherri says.
Then kneels to Fat Nuggets, "Hey Bacon Bits." and scratches his ear.
Then Cherri notices the new pig, "Well, looks like you got a new friend. Is she your Angel?"
"Actually, she's Crystal. The little pig came to the hotel last night and Crystal decided to keep her. Luckily, Charlie said it's okay as long as she takes care of her," Angel says.
"Sounds cool, so what's her name?" Cherri asks.
"I call her Sapphire, because she has a blue rectangular gemstone on her eye," Crystal says.
"I can see why. She sure is a cute little porker," Cherri says.
"We're going to get her some stuff since she'll be with me. Wanna help?" Crystal says.
Cherri shrugs her shoulders, "Sure, got nothing better to do, and it will be nice to hang out with you guys."
The group then heads off to a pet store. The store is full of anything you like to get for a pet: Dogs, cats, birds, and any kind of pet. The group looks around for stuff for Sapphire. Crystal grabs a blue bed, a few toys, a blanket, and two food bowls. Soon, they reach the food isle. Crystal also helps Sapphire to figure out which food she likes to eat. With her nose, Sapphire decides to eat the food, and even rip a bit of their bag and begs to chew some of the food. Crystal then takes the ripped bag and another bag, even though Angel and Cherri think they should leave it. Angel and Cherri help Crystal buy all kinds of stuff for Sapphire and believe they have just about everything they need.
Cherri and Angel also find the perfect collar for Sapphire, a blue collar with white rhinestones on it and a blue leash.
Angel asks, "So what do you think of it?"
"I think it looks nice," Crystal says.
Crystal takes the collar and shows it to Sapphire, "What do you think, girl?"
Sapphire sniffs the collar and wags her little curly tail with glee.
"I think she likes it," Cherri says.
"So let's get all the stuff and grab some lunch," Angel says.
After getting a tag for Sapphire's collar and paying for all the pet care, Crystal then puts the collar with the tag around Sapphire's neck. Sapphire simply rolls around with a smile and oink with glee. Fat Nuggets walks to Sapphire and shows a happy expression. Sapphire does the same with him.
"Well then, how about we get ourselves something to eat," Cherri says.
"Sure. Where do you…" Crystal is about to ask, but suddenly a loud explosion occurs.
Crystal shockley turns her head to see the entrance to the mall has been blown and the demons close by are sent flying. Angel and Cherri notice as well to see glowing red eyes shining through the fog. They realize that this is trouble.
