Hey everyone! Back on City of Light again, and have returned with a new chapter! This is where the rise of the climax is about to begin! And man, this is going to be exciting! :D
Also, I wanna mention that I have officially started streaming on Twitch. Same username, and I will mainly be streaming Smash Ultimate content on most weekdays, and other games I have on weekends. If you'd like, feel free to check me out.
For a schedule, I'll be active on three weekdays: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. But both weekends will be available to me for streaming unless life comes in. :p

Galeem grumbled under his breath, crossing his wings like arms to maintain an annoyed gesture. He felt something has gone wrong, and that others are going to find a way to stop him from achieving his big goal once and for all.
Despite Master Hand being freed back in the Smash realm, the clones are still active, and highly loyal to him. And speaking of which, one of those clones floated over to the frustrated light god.
"This better be good." He snapped.
"Lord Galeem, I sense a major disruption back in Smash! I don't know what it is, but we need to stop it! Now!" The Master Hand clone shouted worriedly.
"Well, if it's those pathetic Inklings and Octolings, I must announce we're one person down," Galeem sighed, "And trust me, Master Hand clone number so-and-so... Hannah's gone."
The clone tilted itself a little bit, confused.
"Hannah?" He repeated. Galeem growls angrily and face palms, his annoyance growing higher by the second.
"I'm talking about Hikari, you moron!" He yelled.
"I never heard you mention her by her real name, sir." The glove clone admitted.
"I don't care, but I am pissed!" Galeem exclaimed, "I don't know what that girl has been doing, but at this point, enough is enough. Those Agents... I have their friend held hostage, and there's no way I'm going to let them obtain him back without a fight!"
Galeem roughly grabs two of the Master Hand clone's fingers, glowing brighter to express his anger in a more physical form.
"I did NOT struggle to take over Inkopolis Square and Smash to make a giant throne of cephalopod agony just to end up in this mess!" The Lord of Light ranted, glaring daggers at the struggling clone.
"Not to worry, Lord Galeem! Everything's under control!" It stated through its struggling, "It'll be impossible for anyone to get in the Fearical Dome besides powerful creatures like us! So trust me, we've got nothing to worry about! We're safe!"
"We better," Galeem warned, "Because if this doesn't work as how I see it, you're all getting cut. Now... I'm going to be in my main office, to get Sonic to cope and admit what he knows about dimensional takeovers. Stay by my side, because we're going to need all the help we're going to get."
"As you wish, Lord." Master Hand clone said with a thumbs up. Galeem then floats on ahead, with the clone trailing right beside him. Sonic sure was gonna have one heck of a time for what's about to come to him.
All in all, he hoped that his friends will come to save him.
*scene: Redd's apartment*
Fortunately, Aaliyah was still safe despite the madness that was ensuing. She was in the Guest bedroom, as she thought maybe Redd wouldn't like it if she just enters his room without his consent.
Every time she felt as if someone was looking for her, whether it would be the monsters or the Master Hand clones, she would hide under the bed or any other good spot so she can try to stay unseen by anyone.
She was laying down on the bed, trying to ease her mind. When suddenly, a knock on the door was heard. She sat up and yelped, having a feeling that the knock can be... basically anyone, or anything.
But she had to gain some courage, so she went to go see who it was. After all, another part of her mind hoped that it was Redd and the others, as they may have returned from their mission in Smash.
The innocent Octoling was now at the main entrance door. She took a deep breath, and exhaled it out. And slowly, she opens the door and peeks inside. Her fear was finally gone when she noticed an Inkling ear from her peeking.
She opened the door all the way, and there they were. Everyone was just gotten back, safe and sound. Some of them had a couple injuries on them, but it wasn't anything too major.
"Aaliyah! You're okay!" Caleb shouted as he hugs Aaliyah. She was shocked as that was the first contact she received, but she grew onto it almost immediately, and wraps her arms around him to want more comfort, and give her own as a bonus.
"Yeah, no need to worry, Ali. We're fine. It was rough, but we turned out okay in the end." Mia assured.
"T-Thank goodness... I was gonna ask the same to you..." Aaliyah confessed, still hiding her head on Caleb's shoulder.
"To be honest, it was nothing to difficult for anyone like us," Redd chuckled, "We still fought, and we won what we got for now. And plus, we have some extra help now so we can fully stop Galeem."
"Oh, and speaking of which, where are they?" Chany asked, quickly looking around. Everyone else joined in, even Caleb and Ali did, the latter of which having no idea who they were talking about.
"There they are!" Flint exclaimed as he pointed in another direction. The rest look towards where Flint was pointing at. And just as they expected, Master and Crazy Hand arrived just in time to meet up with the group of Inklings (and Octolings).
"Urgh... not gonna lie, Master Hand. The darkness in my mind left from Dharkon sure did a number on me." Crazy Hand admitted in a cringing pose.
"I could say the same about what Galeem did to me." Master Hand added, looking at his left hand counterpart.
"What took you two so long?" Mia asked.
"Hey, you try roaming Inkopolis Square during a takeover where everyone will think you're a clone and try to run away," Master Hand grumbled, "We were trying to stay unseen. It's a lot harder than it looks!"
"There were dozens of people like you! It's almost impossible to do so!" Crazy Hand chimed in loudly. Aaliyah looks at the two hands, with an afraid looked Caleb and Chany stood by the scared Octoling to comfort her.
"Y... You're not gonna hurt us... a-are you?" She asked the two gloves.
"Of course not! I'm the OG Master Hand. I'm not going to hurt you. My anger is directed towards Galeem and the rest of joined in on his plans." Master Hand replied.
"And I'm Crazy Hand! Not exactly like Master Hand here, but our power doubles when we work together!" Crazy Hand shouted.
"Oh... o-okay." Aaliyah said, sighing in relief afterwards, knowing that she and the rest were going to be okay. Chany then soothes Aaliyah by whispering comfort and encouraging words in her ear.
"So, what should we do now in order to get wherever Galeem is at?" Caleb questioned.
"Well, that depends. Do you have any idea where he could be right now?" Master Hand leaned towards Caleb to ask his own question.
"I think we know." Redd said as he raises his hand.
"You do?! Well then, tell us! We don't have time to waste!" Crazy Hand yelled. Redd took no time wasted, immediately pointing at the Fearical Dome that seemed pretty far away from where they are now.
"It's that giant sphere hanging nearby Deca Tower," Redd explained, "I have no idea how it was created this fast or why Galeem came up with it, but it rose near the tower once Galeem came into this world."
"It seems like we can't even get there without some sort of sneaky device or whatever it may take." Flint admitted, placing one of his hands on his hips.
"That's where we're gonna have to need the hands' help." Mia added.
Something sparked in Aaliyah's mind once she heard Mia say "help". She grew a worried expression as she looked around, expecting other people to be there. But she didn't lose the worried look as they weren't here.
"Uh... w-where are the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook...?" She asked. Chany then got surprised as she noticed Aaliyah asked about that. And she didn't want to admit the truth to the sweet little Octoling, as that was going to make her more scared.
The pink Inkling had to come up with something quickly!
"They're... just running a bit behind! T-That's all!" She blurted out. Master Hand was confused, and he tried to respond back, knowing the truth.
"Actually, I'm pretty sure you admitted to me that-
"Ah, boosh! I'm sure wherever they are, they're fine!" Crazy Hand chuckled, slamming down lightly. Suddenly, out of thin air, a large holographic circle appeared. However, it appeared blurry, despite it being all light blue.
Master and Crazy Hand look at each other, then nod. They combine their laser attack together at the hologram, and after that, the image was much more clearer.
There, it was Pearl and Marina, who had scared looks on their faces. And the interior of wherever they were at... looked like the inside of the Fearical Dome. It seemed obvious, with the decorative scenery, large window shaped like Galeem's core (with a hint of yellow), and much more disturbing stuff.
"Hey, y-y'all know what time it is?" Pearl stuttered.
"I-It's Off the Hook, coming at you live from INSIDE GALEEM'S CASTLE!" Marina shouted in a very scared tone. Pearl rushed to her Octoling friend and tried to get her to calm down.
"Apologize for this news program we got so suddenly, but we need to warn others right now!" Pearl exclaimed. The camera adjusts to a much more clearer look around the dome. Clones and monsters everywhere, and the giant throne was in plain sight.
"Me, Pearl, and the Squid Sisters have just been captured by Galeem's forces, and we finally have a good look for what's inside," Marina explained, "It appears that Galeem not only has everyone of his biggest henchmen to roam and guard, but there is a giant throne of frozen Inkling agony! Made up from everyone else who was captive!"
"We need to assure you all right now! Stay away from this castle at all costs!" Pearl exclaimed.
"Please... just for the sake of the remainders of Inkopolis Square. It's the best we can ask for." Marina cried. A Master Hand clone then hovered above the two idols, and shone down on them with a weakened version of Galeem's light beams.
The Off the Hook idols yelped as they immediately notice their bodies turning to stone.
"Well, t-this is all the time we g-got! Until next t-time..." Pearl started, only for her and Marina to do a more afraid form of their signature poses.
"Don't get cooked, Stay Off the Hook!"
And after their catchphrase, their entire body turned to stone, and the clone grabs the two idols to make the throne even bigger than it already is (as if it can't get any bigger).
When the holograph goes away at last, everyone shared a shocked expression as they looked at each other, speechless. Aaliyah hugs Chany more tightly, with the pink Inkling responding by keeping the innocent Octoling close by her.
"...He really had the audacity to perform this, didn't he." Master Hand groaned.
"Okay, that's it! Galeem is going down!" Crazy Hand yelled, slamming his fist down more harder, but not too hard to cause any damage to the property of New Albacore Hotel. This did make everyone pull back a bit, though.
"Now, here's the plan, you guys," Master Hand explained, "I want you all to stay by us. When we cause enough damage to either Galeem or anyone else that is working with him, you all go in and save your friends, and the rest of the citizens in this universe."
"Why do we need to stay by you guys for this?" Caleb asked curiously.
"AHA!" A voice screamed. Everyone looks over there, and it turns out to be a Master Hand clone. It rushed over to punch the gang as hard as it can to severely weaken them. But then...
BANG!
A huge forcefield forms all around them. There was a Smash symbol, along with different symbols to represent all the other fighters' series that have been invited to Smash.
The clone pulls back, shocked, and this time, the real Master Hand shoots his bullet projectile to stun the clone. The OG Master Hand then continues the stunning with his lasers, and Crazy Hand joins in with his finger bomb attack. Crazy Hand also finishes the clone off, launching him away by pulling back, and extending his pointer finger roughly at the clone.
And out the clone goes after THAT attack hits.
Crazy and Master Hand then stay close to the group again.
"...That's why." Crazy Hand said.
"Ohh." Caleb responded, realizing after what he saw.
"That's enough proof in my book." Mia said, nodding her head.
"I agree. With a forcefield that big and powerful, Galeem stands no chance against us!" Flint stated, smiling as he knew that an advantage was by their side.
"Now, you guys stay here for a few minutes. Meet up back in the Square after those few minutes are up." Master Hand commanded.
"Why though?" Redd asked, curious.
"We need to protect the rest of the inhabitants! Just leave it to us!" Crazy Hand responded, showing a thumbs up. Then, he and Master Hand heads over the the center of the Square so they can do what they have to do.
"Riiiiiight..." Mia groaned.
"At least they know what they're doing. They wouldn't ever lie to us." Chany assured.
"Agreed. Now, let's head inside before anyone else finds us." Redd suggested. He and the others go inside the red Inkling's home, and the door was shut immediately just in case of any last minute peeks.
"I wonder what Master Hand and Crazy Hand are gonna come up with." Flint said in a curious tone.
"Eh, I'm sure whatever it is, we'll expect it." Mia assured.
*a few minutes later*
"This was NOT what we expected." Mia admitted, still staring at what was in front of their faces. She and the rest of the group were outside, with all of them staring at this huge contraption hanging above them.
It was a large box, with five things floating above them: A sword, a technological gun, a fist, a mechanical claw, and a shield. All of those looked very powerful. The box wasn't clear either, but they can tell people were inside them.
This must be where the rest of the Inkopolis Square citizens were inside, as they can easily hear the noises everyone was making.
The box was made out of how a house normally would look, along with a fresh coat of gray paint. The weapons and stuff floating around looked ancient, but they were sturdy to withstand anything.
And to top it all off, the black logo representing Smash was plastered on the box, dead center. It also counted as a window, as anyone can see from the other side.
"Whoa..." Flint said in awe, as Aaliyah joins in, with her eyes sparkling.
"I never saw something so... powerful like that." Caleb admitted.
"Smashers aaaaseeeeeembblllllllle!" Crazy Hand cheered as he floats down to the Agents, summoning an elevator to the inside of the machine.
"Step right on up! Master Hand and I did a really great job making this!" The left handed glove said, "And plus, as long as Master Hand and I are still inside, there's a forcefield that will protect us from any of Galeem's attacks!"
"Perfect!" Redd chuckled. He led the others into the elevator, and after the doors close, the elevator rises up to the inside.
As soon as the elevator ride stopped, the group exits, and they noticed that it was a lot roomier than the outside. It almost looked like a room inside a mansion, with its elegant style, and old-looking carpets and walls.
And also, they could notice the small remainder of the other citizens were standing by, making sure to keep safe.
"Welcome, Agents!" Master Hand greeted, "What do you think? A giant box with great attack, defense, and grab power. Using everything we offer in Smash... projectiles, offense, defense, and ferocious grabs... we can protect ourselves from Galeem's evil doings. And outside, there's a special wall as well, so no one can fall off unless they really tried!"
"Well, d**n, it sure is stylish." Mia complimented as she looks around.
"I call it... 'The Ultimate Smash-a-tron'." Master Hand continued.
"Whoa! With something like this, we can easily defeat Galeem with no problems!" Caleb cheered.
"Indeed we shall, Octoling!" Master Hand laughed, "Now... let's head on over to Galeem's Fearical Dome, and put an end to his triumph! I have a special job for you and the others when dealing with his minions."
The rest grew closer, ready on what Master Hand was about to promote to them.
*back in the Fearical Dome...*
A loud scream can be heard. Galeem was unleashing a powerful light beam attack on Sonic. He was chained to the wall, and it doesn't look like he was going to be let out any time soon.
He took the pain, but knew it stung very badly for the poor squid. And what makes it worse for him is that all the bosses and Master Hand clones were watching him, so they can retain all the information we can about whatever Sonic will admit about anything regarding dimensions.
Soon, Galeem stops his beam and looks at Sonic, who was panting from the pain of the attack.
"You ready to give me that equation to break the barrier and let my invasion reach beyond new heights?" The Lord of Light asked. Sonic weakly looks at the more powerful god, trying to not show any hint of fear.
"I... I will not... a-allow you to enter my mind..." Sonic said quietly, moving his arms around slightly to make everyone her the rustle of the chains. Galeem turs towards the monsters and clones behind him.
"Well, this'll be very interesting for us to watch," Galeem replied eerily, "About a trillion more of these light beams will definitely be enough to get this pathetic Inkling to admit everything he knows."
Suddenly, the ground began to shake. The monsters and Galeem took note of that, growing a little uneasy.
"Hey, do you hear that?" He asked.
Near one of the walls that has a door in it, Giga Bowser backs up, realizing that the noise was getting near him.
CRASH!
A giant fist ruptures a hole in that wall, breaking down the useless door. The fist pulls back, revealing the Ultimate Smash-a-tron to show itself to everyone out there. However, it seemed more far away when the fist pulls back.
Despite that, Galeem was very shocked at what he was just seeing.
"WHAT?! I just fixed that door!" I screamed.
The Ultimate Smash-a-tron stomps closer. The fist and claw clenches, the shield draws near, and the gun aims around t shoot any powerful projectiles.
The Agents were on the roof of the box, sturdy above. And there weren't any seatbelts for some odd reason. But the Agents hope they'll be okay. After all, Master Hand explained that they can't fall off unless they really tried to. They assumed it was maybe that forcefield.
"It's the Ultimate Smash-a-tron, Galeem! Stand down, or fight back!" Redd taunted, a wide smirk on his face.
"This box has everything you can use in Smash, and Master Hand and Crazy Hand turned in all into one fighting machine," Flint said in awe, "Hmm... I won't lie, that's very fascinating."
"So, the Agents are deciding to fight back, huh? How adorable!" Galeem chuckled. He then grows an angry look as he floats higher above his throne.
"Minions of Light, you know what to do!" The Lord of Light shouted. Galleom, Duon, Giga Bowser, Rathalos, Marx, Dracula, and Ganon all team together, and...
They shortly grew even larger than before, along with their skin and details being completely light blue. Their eyes were also a bright red. It was clear that now, Galeem was not messing around.
"TAKE THEM OUT!" Galeem demanded. The seven bosses dropped down from the big hole that they can easily get down from. They all stood in a threatening pose, ready to attack the giant machine.
"...Something tells me this MIGHT be a bad idea." Crazy Hand sighed. Master Hand led the other remaining Inklings and Octolings to stay back.
A microphone appeared on top, at the roof where the Agents were at. Chany held the microphone in her hands, as Redd also joins in.
"*ahem* Is this thing working. Testing, testing." Redd said into the microphone. The static could be heard, and it made thig bosses groan and cover their ears, not liking the static that came with it.
Chany adjusts the settings of the microphone, then gives it to Redd so he can make his announcement.
"Now, listen up," The Squid Bits lead singer exclaimed, "I'm going to tell you all right now to let go of Sonic and the rest of our kind. Else, we are going to begin this fight. And trust me, we will not hold back."
"Why did Galeem hire a vampire for his evil deeds?" Chany questioned, looking at Dracula. But because she was a little close near Redd, her voice was easily heard, too.
Dracula was offended by this, and he merely sighs in annoyance.
"I have risen countless times for many centuries for revenge." He said.
"Well, uh... that was disturbing," Chany admitted, "I was liking this better before he talked. We're definitely taking him down."
"ATTACK!" Marx screeched, pointing at the machine with one of his wings. The other monsters charged right at it.
"A-Alright guys, get ready!" Chany yelped, running back together with Redd. The two of them hold their weapons tightly as a necessary backup.
Everyone smirks as they get ready for the biggest assault for the first step to bring down Galeem once and for all.
"Okay, everyone!" Mia chuckled, "Just like Master Hand and Crazy Hand planned! Big attack, don't hold back! On three! Three... two... one... GO!"
The five main weapons of the robot grew higher as the monsters let out a battle cry as they rush towards the machine.
As Dracula drew near, Master Hand snaps, and that causes the fist to push him back several meters, while also damaging him real good. Next was Duon, but Crazy Hand clenches his structure to make the claw punch him back. Like with Dracula, it worked flawlessly.
Giga Bowser was close to attacking the contraption with all he got. However, Master and Crazy Hand fist bump each other, and it made the cannon shoot powerful ranged projectiles right at three of the bosses, including a Master Hand clone. They all screamed and ran away to try and not get hit.
"Easy." Master Hand simply said.
Dracula turned into his demon form (still all light blue and red eyes), and screeches while pointing at the machine. A bunch of Master Hand clones began to swam around. The shield rose up to try and prevent this, but it wasn't enough.
The Agents knew that it was their turn.
"Let's get 'em!" Caleb shouted. Everyone shot from their weapons, slowing down the clones as they fell to the floor by some of the more gruesome attacks from the machine that came shortly after.
The last remaining clone attempted to run away. However, Mia saw that as a quick opportunity.
"Oh no you don't!" She yelled. She jumped onto the clone, latching right onto it. She does what she did before... clenching one of the fingers, forcing the clone to shoot lasers from all of its fingers.
Galleom got hit by these lasers as he tried to stop Mia, but by then, it was too late. The lasers hit his head, and similar to Galeem's light beams, it turned his head to stone. The mechanical monsters flailed his arms around a bit before stopping completely.
Mia commands the Master Hand to float some more, and with more clones that were arriving, Mia made her riding clone shoot lasers at those opposing clones. And after a few more seconds of that fun, she hopped back to the roof, with the clone not knowing how to respond...
Only for it to get launched by the sword.
"Guys! Incoming!" Flint shouted.
"I-Is there some escape patch or something?!" Aaliyah exclaimed in a scared tone, growing more worried.
Rathalos roars as he clashes with the contraption. Everyone screamed as they were pushed back. The Agents were already, as the invisible wall prevented them from falling off to the ground WAY above them.
The fist and claw grabbed Rathalos by his shoulders, but the dragon was still pushing it back. Even breaking some trees and rocks that Rathalos forcibly made the Ultimate Smash-a-tron hit.
The machine got the strength to stay still, and the two were now fighting to get the upper hand over one another for the next launch.
"Master Hand! Crazy Hand! We'll need maximum power!" Chany yelled.
"We're on it!" Master Hand replied, hearing the Inkling's sentence clearly. He and Crazy Hand rub themselves together to create an electric force. Once the power was strong enough, the two slammed down and covered the entire inside in electricity.
Fortunately, it didn't affect any of the Inklings and Octolings. The Agents were also unaffected.
"Now! One final blow!" Mia screamed. The two gloves down below bunched a wall in exact synchronization, which gave the machine enough power to lift Rathalos off of the ground, and throw him up in the air, away from the fighting scene.
Once Rathalos was out of sight, everyone cheers, knowing that all the monsters were defeated for now. They even laughed together as they saw Giga Bowser screaming as he runs away, with fire burning brightly on his tail.
Inside the dome, Galeem looked shocked. But then, he rubs his core in disappointment.
"Guys, seriously? You had, like, one job to do here." He groaned. The chains that were holding Sonic back disintegrate, and Sonic cheers as well.
"Woo hoo! Great job, guys!" He shouted excitedly. Galeem then loosens his wings as he slightly looks at Sonic.
"Well, would you look at that. Those Agents really care about you." The light god said. He then fully turns around, with a more creepy expression.
"And you care about them, DON'T YOU?" Galeem grows even bigger as he taunts, glowing brighter to make Sonic shield his eyes.
"Wait, what are you...?" Sonic started. But then he was concerned as he realizes what Galeem was thinking.
"O-Oh no!"
"Perhaps maybe TORTURING your friends will make you talk!" Galeem shouted.
"No! NO!" Sonic begged, "Please, not the others! You ca-"
Sonic held his arm out to try and stop Galeem, but the light god retaliates by turning Sonic to his golden statue form again.
"Let's get this over with." Galeem growled. He floats out of the hole, but gets stuck in it because his core was slightly bigger.
CRASH!
He ends up breaking part of the hole anyway. Once he gets close to the machine he turns his wings into a large spear formation, threatening to smash it to bits as the spear hovers above.
Galeem clears his throat, and then...
SMASH!
The spear attacks the box at full force, causing a brighter light, and hurricane-like winds as a result. Galeem raises the spear up, waiting for dead bodies and a broken box.
...
But instead, he was met with a perfectly fine box. And the forcefield from earlier was going away as soon as the spear was removed. Galeem looked surprised as he wasn't fully expecting this to happen.
"What the-...? No!" Galeem stuttered as he gets more angry, "NO, NO, NO, NO!"
His core glows even brighter again as nine more spears appear to surround the machine. They all stab at the box at rapid speed, but they did next to nothing thanks to this forcefield that surrounded the box.
"O-Oh my goodness...!" Aaliyah yelped.
"Attack!" Caleb shouted. Master and Crazy Hand look at each other, and give a thumbs up. They let the fist and claw work together for this final blow.
Galeem stops the stabbing once the fist and claw grab his core at the same time. They exert more force on the grabs, and after enough pressure was built into it, the spears retracted as Galeem lays on the floor, weakened.
"AAAAAAAAGH! Ah, my core! Do you have any idea how long it takes to regenerate energy back from that?!" He complained.
"He's distracted! Now's our chance!" Redd exclaimed.
"Agents, super jump! To the hole! Let's save the captured citizens!" Mia commanded.
With weapons held tight, everyone super jumps at the same time. The Ultimate Smash-a-tron gives them all a big boost to launch even high than how they normally would. Once they reached a good point, they decided to turn into their humanoid forms as they drop on down.
Some of them were nervous, while a couple were having fun dropping down, even cheering as they did so. But they get ready as they aim their weapons at the floor to make a safe landing. Aaliyah stays by Caleb for this, considering the same color.
They had to be careful for what was to come next. Galeem won't stay distracted for long.
A/N: And that's the first big fight. Next up, I think you guys can expect what fight is going to come up next. ;)
But I'm going to leave off of there for now. I hoped you guys enjoyed the fight, and also that end part where Galeem got a taste of his own medicine. XD
