Epilogue

Kate sighed as she set down her coffee mug. Not a day went by where she didn't think about Frank. Even 17 years later, she wished he was still there with her.

A car pulled up into the driveway, and Kate sighed again. How many times did she have to say no to burning rubber? She went to open the door, and there stood her 17 year old daughter.

"What?" she asked.

"Francine," Kate said. "What did I tell you about a grand entrance?"

"To not to?" her daughter said questioningly as she tilted her head. "But it's fun."

"Frankie," Kate said, exasperated. "We have neighbors. We have to be respectful."

Frankie rolled her eyes. She came inside and dumped her keys on the counter.

"You just got your license," Kate went on, following her to the kitchen. "You can't lose it already."

"I won't," Frankie promised, reaching into the fridge and pulling out an apple. She bit into it loudly and walked to her room. Kate did not follow. She looked at her daughter and saw Frank. It had been astounding to learn she'd been pregnant, the doctor saying it was a miracle. It almost seemed like God's cruel joke to finally allow her and Frank to have a baby but without Frank.

Frankie paused in the hallway at the framed photographs of her father. In one, he was sitting in the passenger seat of her mother's car, an almost horrified but comical expression on his face as he looked towards the camera. The second one was of him in his SAS uniform, looking at the camera with a small, crooked smile on his face.

"You'd be proud, Dad," she said, touching the glass softly. "I beat Johnny by a full ten seconds." She smiled at the pictures, believing that he was somewhere and listening to her. She kissed her fingers and touched the glass before walking on to her room.

Like father, like daughter as some would say.

She was damn proud of that.

Well, I can either write a sequel or leave it as it is. You can tell me in a review what you'd like. Do stay tuned for other Transporter stories that I have up my sleeve and will be posting soon. Until next time!
