Chapter 24: Unbound

Himiko ran into the street but the old man tried to stop her, "Wait don't run into the-." Before he could finish Himiko was hit by a car, then their was only black. Himiko felt cold and could hear something moving like a wagon of some sorts, she slowly opened her eyes and found herself in a wagon surrounded by others with their wrists tied behind their backs, one of which was even gagged. She tried to move but she was tied up too and still recovering from the car hitting her. "

Hey, you. You're finally awake." One of the men she was with greeted her "You were trying to cross the border, right? He asked, Himiko tried to respond but found herself unable to and realizing your gagged to., "Walked right into that Imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there."

"Damn you Stormcloaks." Thief spoke with such distain towards him, "Skyrim was fine until you came along. Empire was

nice and lazy. If they hadn't been looking for you, I could've stolen

that horse and been half way to Hammerfell." The theif looks at Himiko but with a face of fear rather than anger, "You there. You and me we

should be here. It's these Stormcloaks the Empire wants."

"We're all brothers and sisters in binds now, thief. All the talking got the attention of one of the imperial guards, "Shut up back there!"

They all went back to sitting in silence but the thief was curious to about the gagged man, "And what's wrong with him?" Suddenly the soldier got upset at his question "Watch your tongue! You're speaking to Ulfric Stormcloak, the true High King." Himiko watch as fear took over the thief, Ulfric? The Jarl of Windhelm? You're the leader of the rebellion. But if they captured you… Oh gods, where are they taking us?"

Himiko tried to communicate using facial expressions but it wasn't working so she gave up, The soldier responds to the thrift "I don't know where we're going, but Sovngarde awaits."

"No, this can't be happening. This isn't happening." Himiko didn't know what was going on but she could tell that wherever this wagon is taking them it isn't a place she should be, "Hey, what village are you from, horse thief?" The soldier asked the thief, "Why do you care?" The thief replied but this time he seemed nicer but it was from the fear, "A Nord's last thoughts should be of home." The thief took a second to respond, "Rorikstead. I'm…I'm from Rorikstead." Himiko tried to think of home but all she could think about was her friends, Soon they reached a town called Helgen, The Imperial driver yells out, "General Tullius, sir! The headsman is waiting!"

"Good. Let's get this over with." The general responded and the cart continued into the town. The thief began praying for mercy as the Himiko noticed some elves in fancy outfits talking to some more soldiers, "Look at him, General Tullius the Military Governor. And it looks like

the Thalmor are with him. Damn elves. I bet they had something to do

with this." The Stormcloak Soldier said noticing them, he spit in their direction and looked back at Himiko, "This is Helgen. I used to be sweet on a girl from here. Wonder if Vilod is still making that mead with juniper berries mixed in. Funny…when I was a boy, Imperial walls and towers used to make me feel so safe."

Himiko noticed a father trying to get his son to go back inside, as others did the same with their children. The wagon stopped and the guards ordered them to get off and line up, One by one they lined up as the guard checked off everyone off the list, finally it was Himiko's turn and she was ungaged, "Where the fuck am I?" Was the first thing she asked, The guard checked the list and couldn't find the her name, "Captain she isn't on the list, what should we do?"

"Put them with the others". The captain said with no remorse, "Fuck you lady I didn't do shit." Himiko said flipping her off. The horse thief tried to run but was killed by an archer, Himiko and others looked on in horror, the captain looked back at her and pointed, "She's first." Himiko was grabbed by two guards and she was dragged to the chopping blocking but suddenly everyone heard some type of roar, "What was that?" and "What is it coming from?" Was all the people were asking, but the captain didn't care, "We figure that out later."

The guards throw Himiko down on the chopping block as The Executioner prepares his Axe, "Well I thought my Isekai adventure would go alot differently from this." As the executioner raised his battleaxe the crowd watched in horror as a dragon appeared and landed on a building causing the ground to shake from just the shear force. Himiko watched in horror as the Dragon breathed fire right in her face.

Himiko shoots up in bed breathing heavy, "Oh, it was just a dream." She said glad to be in the real world, until the pain started kicking in from her broken left arm and leg among many other injuries keeping her from getting up out of the hospital bed, "Note to self, look both ways when crossing the street." She managed to grab the clipboard at the end of her bed and started reading it to see the damage was, "5 broken ribs and, broken pelvis, fractured jaw, cracked skull, broken eye socket, emergency surgery needed, would be dead if not for the head doctor's healing quirk." She put the clipboard down, she had dodged the biggest bullet of her life.

The door to her room opens and Dabi walks in seemingly depressed and bandaged up, "Dabi." He quickly snapped out of his slump after hearing her speak, he ran over to her and hugged her forgetting all about her injuries, but she didn't care as her eyes filled and so did his.
