Chapter 12: Interns and a Nephew
Sprawled on the ground, the red haired girl glared at the other red haired man with three pointed yellow hair on top if his head. "I hate you." Around her, people on the same position shared the sentiment.
The red haired man, Rikoi, grinned at her. "Don't worry girly, the feeling is mutual."
He was met by a dagger flying towards his face from the girls quirk.
He catched it with his teeth and crunched it like some kind of crackers, much to everyones horror and disbelief.
"Nice one, *Crunch* *Crunch* you need more oomph to your throws though." He swallowed the crushed weapon like it didn't matter. The red haired teen, Kaguya, growled at him. Rikoi smirked.
Not bad, Rikoi thought. looks like the Boss was right when he said that he'll enjoy training interns.
On the ground, Kaguya silently cursed Matatabi's existence for her dilemma.
'Fuck you! Cat girl trap!'
At the Foster mansion, Matatabi suddenly had a urge to strangle someone. Luckily, Shirako is just beside him.
"Why are you trying to strangle me?!"
"Get back here and let me destress!"
"Shishou! Help! Matatabi lost it!"
"Shut up and let me kill you!"
"Get away from me!"
…just a normal day in the mansion.
"Don't crush that! I need that to build my clan in the future!"
"Shut up you Uchiha wannabe! You're a Priest trainee! You don't need to fuck!"
"I'm a Onmyouji! Not a monk! Those are two clearly different things!"
"I don't fucking care!"
…like what is said earlier, just a normal day in the Satooya Mansion.
Ienari looked at his current teacher that he's interning with, "Vii-sama?"
The man in the form of a freckled twelve year old boy with curly green hair wearing a track suit turn to him. "Yes, Ienari-kun?"
"…are you sure this is necessary?"
Mikumo smiled so bright at him that Ienari feared that he needed sunglasses or he'll go blind otherwise.
"Of course! With this experimen-training, you will learn to make your Qi act as if it was electricity!"
For a moment, Ienari was sure that he heard the word experiment instead of training.
Ienari put up his Qigong armor, a new technique that Lucas-sama and Vii-sama taught him after the sports festival, reinforcing and boosting his body, along with his senses and durability above what is considered normal. A more advanced and refined version of the Qigong enhancement that Ienari used in the Sports festival.
He still can't believed that Lucas-sama and Vii-sama or Azrael and Majin as they are publicly known, are cousins in their past life. He knew that Majin and his Home tutor has connection with each other due to their masks appearances. A mouthless bone white mask with black distorted sclera with a glowing irises in their respective colors and among other comparison that are impossible to ignore, but he didn't really expected them to be cousins of all things.
He also heard Lucas-sama called Vii-sama 'Deku' at some occasion. Shiro would surely flipped if he heard about it. He always rant about how Deku was missing and how this world is 'done for'.
He was snapped out from his thought by the crackling sounds coming from Vii-sama. The fake child had electricity emitting from his hands almost menacingly. He drew back his hands and—
"For Science!"
"Eeeppp!!!"
Booom!
His intuition rang loud just in time to avoid being hit by a high speed ball of electricity that almost put a hole on his head.
"Nice reflexes little clam, now all you need to do to finish this training is…" Vii-sama drew his arm once more, a ball of electricity forming on his palm.
"To get hit."
Booom!
"Hiiiieee!!!"
Vii-sama laughed, "Goodness, you sound like Ame-kun!" He grinned and started bombarding Ienari with lighting balls, which he did his best to evade. Ienari laments internally, he thought that he had already get rid of his shrieking habit when he was a kid!
"Come on! What's the point of this experiment if you dodge?"
Ienari shrieked, "I thought this was training!"
"Who said it wasn't? Now be a good boy and get hit!"
Boooom!
"HIIIIEEE!!!"
"This is so much fun!"
Ienari wailed, he should have known that Vii-sama is just as sadistic as Lucas-sama is!
"Vii-chan!" Lucas greeted as his cousin entered the room.
Mikumo waved at him.
"How's Ienari-kun?"
"He's doing well, he managed to transform his Qi in to something electric like."
"Cool." They never managed to do that in their past life. Only now that they had the Qi to spare that they were able to experiment on its limits and its possible capabilities.
They learned that Qi is like a mad mix of Chakra, Nen, ESP and the typical interpretation of Ki in Shows, Ancient Texts, Anime media and popular belief. Lucas and Mikumo found it weird and fascinating.
Lucas would add that it also reminded him of Magic but Mikumo cut off his theory. Apparently, even though they're similar Magic had and follows a different set of rules and composition. Even if the two of them could be converted in to each other and can be cultivated from the same source such as Life force, Mental energy, Faith, Emotions or the Planet's Ley lines.
"I had the feeling that he's the type that learn from physical application instead of theory so I threw a bunch of lighting balls at him. He became better at dodging while his Qi remembered the feeling of the psychokinetic electricity that is brushing and hitting his Qigong armor every time I threw one."
Lucas whistled, "Two birds at one stone, I wish I could watch."
"Don't worry, It's recorded. You're his Home tutor after all."
Lucas grinned, "You're the best!"
Mikumo rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless. "You still need to tell him to develop his [Uncanny] he's still stuck at its basics."
"C'mon Vii-chan! Give me some slack here! It's not like he needed it that early, I still have time."
"You're just lazy."
"And you're a hypocrite."
"Guilty as charge."
"Vii-chan, you're not supposed to sound proud when admitting that you're a hypocrite."
"And you're not supposed to be proud when someone called you a degenerate weeb, but you still do."
Lucas laughed, "Well, I did learned from the best so there's that."
Mikumo shaked his head fondly, he truly missed this kind of banter. Lucas is someone who isn't afraid to go against him or voice out his thoughts if he think that Mikumo is crossing some line that shouldn't be crossed. Only a few has the gall to do that in front of him and stand with their chances.
"You look deep in thought." Lucas asked Mikumo, curious on to what is the other is thinking.
Mikumo shaked his head, "Nothing urgent I assure you."
Lucas gave Mikumo a shit eating grin, "Bet your thinking on how much you miss me."
Mikumo rolled his eyes, "If you already knew then why ask?"
"Where's the fun in that?" The question have both of them laughing.
Lucas stretch on his chair and yawned. He leaned on the table and massaged his temples, he grumbled. "Damn drawbacks…"
Mikumo blinked and glance at his cousin, Lucas looks like he's in pain. His cousin, like him, had a very high pain tolerance so seeing him genuinely complaining is slightly concerning.
"Quirk backlash?" He asked, his cousin groaned in response.
"My whole body always feels like in a grinder and being run in a high speed sewing machine. Doesn't matter even if my Quirk is active or not."
Mikumo shares the sentiment, [All-Fiction] had a similar annoying draw back like his cousin's Quirk. Though—"I assume that that includes your brain."
"Right on the spot, they don't really bother me that much but they've been getting worse lately."
"Let me help then."
Lucas look up to him. "How?"
"My Quirk."
Lucas stared dumbly at him for a moment, "…Now that you said it, we never did asked about each others Quirk."
Mikumo shrugged, "It's understandable, we didn't have them before after all." And here, most would think that coming from a Quirkless society would make superpowers more of a big deal. But then again, the two of them wasn't exactly normal by either society's standard.
Lucas sighed, "I guess your right. Mine is [Eclipse Daze]; allows me to create and control iridescent light like energy in multiple ways in dark places and iridescent darkness in bright areas."
The Quirk suits him a little, but Lucas has always been a troll. A reality warping ability like [All-Fiction] or [Infinite Deception of Words] would have suit him better.
"[All-Fiction]; based from Medaka box, and stronger."
If Lucas was drinking something, he would have spit it from shock, "Satan what?"
Mikumo chuckle, expecting the reaction from his cousin the moment the topic about his Quirk came out, "I kind a have a choice on what my Quirk would be, unlike you."
Lucas groaned and bash his head to the table in front of him, "No fair! I want Reality warping powers too!"
"Blame the god that reincarnate us."
Lucas raised an eyebrow at that, "A god reincarnate us?"
Mikumo pulled out a folded paper from his pocket and threw it like one would with a shuriken to Lucas which the latter catched with his fingers skillfully without looking up.
Holding the paper, Lucas sit straight up despite the pain and read the letter.
You died.
Lucas look up to his cousin, "This god sure is blunt."
Mikumo shrugged, "Talking to him was interesting to be honest."
You were slain by a Creeper.
Lucas' eye twitched, "And it looks like he had a taste for insensitive jokes."
Mikumo look at him, eyebrow raised, "What, did he hit a nerve?"
Lucas frowned at the reminder, he may not have Hypherthymesia like his cousin but he has Eidetic memory. Reliving your regrets and last moment breathing was not fun. "I died from an explosion at the airport for my flight back to Germany."
"…I see."
"And the worst part is I wasn't alone."
Mikumo paused at his words.
"…Who is it." It wasn't a question, Lucas noticed.
For a moment Lucas looked reluctant. Hiding it from his cousin however just wouldn't result to anything good. V always treasured the people around him by a lot after all. Some of his employees are homeless people that he helped and gave jobs while most are children from the streets, the orphaned and the lost that he take in and raised till adulthood himself. Children that V and his wife treat like their very own children and Lucas would have lie if he said that he didn't saw them as his niece and nephews. Losing them hurt him significantly, but it would be nothing compared to what V would feel. So he relents.
"Lazzaro-kun and my student, Lei-kun." Lucas said bowing his head, his hair shadowing his eyes from his cousin's gaze.
Lazzaro who Mikumo found starving and dying in the streets of Italy as a child and Lei, his half Chinese employee whose an intern before he became Lucas' student and became one of the department heads. Lucas and Lei are really close. If he Lei didn't have Guardians, he knew that Lucas would have adopted the teen himself. He closed his eyes and release a breath that he's been holding.
Learning one of your children is dead hurt his cold and patch work heart. Much more that only now that he's learning to opening up and accepting the concept of fatherhood. Every children and people fom his past are important to him. He treat them as his own even if he's reluctant to call himself a father.
He sighed.
He motioned Lucas to continue reading the letter. He would mourn at his room later, he didn't want to impose on his cousin right know. He's sure that Lucas feels the same.
Lucas continued reading.
I'm kidding. Though you really died, sorry if it came a little insensitive.
"At least he apologized…" Lucas grumbled.
My name is Ächten Jamertal and you could call me… the God of second chances. I reincarnate people to other worlds for them to have a second chance.
"His name sounds fishy."
"I thought the same thing and apparently, his a fugitive."
"A fugitive god? On what offense?"
"I didn't asked, it seems personal." He probably should have but that would be just rude. He could figured it out on his own anyway.
It would be up to them whether they chose to have a normal life, go and take the role that is set for the world and change it to their liking, be the villain, the hero or the one pulling everyone's strings behind the scene. Its their choice.
"He's oddly considerate for a fugitive." Lucas said before he continued reading.
I don't have a criteria on who I would reincarnate or where, but for some unknown reason, every single one of the people that I have reincarnated are all Otakus one way or another.
Lucas turn to his cousin with a deadpan expression written on his face, "Is he cursed or something?"
Mikumo chuckled, "I asked that to myself sometimes,"
"And to be fair, that question could also apply to the both of us."
Lucas sweat dropped, "good point…"
I hope that you'll live in your knew home and live the way you like. There's another person that I reincarnated there as well. He goes by Midoriya Izuku, the name should be familiar, you could meet him if you want.
Which is given considering that he holds this letter and the other gifts.
Till we meet again.
-God of second chances, Ächten Jamertal.
Lucas blinked then turn to his cousin, "He…?"
"Didn't knew?" Mikumo finished for him which he nod at. It's strange that the god wouldn't knew of their connection with each other. Most people often mistake them as twins that are just in their twenties after all, even if the two of them are much more older than twenty with Mikumo being much more.
Mikumo answered Lucas' unsaid question. "It would appear that he didn't particularly care for what connection we had. From what I could gather with the short time that we spoke with each other, he only reincarnate people at random. I was just a special case."
Lucas frowned and thought about it for a moment but winced when he felt his Quirk backlash.
"Here." Mikumo snapped his fingers and suddenly the pain that has been crushing him ever since he was four is now gone as if it never existed.
"Cool."
Mikumo grinned, "I know right."
"Did you just turn my backlash in to nothing?" Lucas asked in awe.
"Yup! I also remove the requirement on how you could use the aspect of your Quirk."
Lucas grinned like a cheshire cat. it was full of sharp incisors instead of the normal human ones. "That would be really, really helpful and convenient." He said as he immediately tried using his Quirk.
A white iridescent light in the shape of a flame appeared in his palm. It manifest just fine and without a problem despite the light present in the room.
On his other hand a pitch black flames with shiny iridescent edges emerge.
"Prächtig."
Mikumo gave him a small grin, leaning back on his chair, legs crossed. "We can talk about the specifics of your Quirk and how much you want me to customize it later."
With that a thought pass by Lucas. He extinguished the unnatural flames before turning to his cousin.
"Hey Vii-chan, how much could you affect Quirks."
Mikumo raised his eyebrow, "Depends, why?"
"Well, you see—"
Matatabi get off the car, his suitcase in tow. He bid his fare well to the driver as it drive back to the mansion.
He turn to the building in front of him. He could see a tall blond teen waving enthusiastically at him at the entrance with a similar suitcase on his other hand.
"Hi Tabbi-sama." The blond teen greeted him nervously.
"G'morning Seiho-san." He greeted back.
"Let's go inside, I think Edgeshot-san is probably waiting already."
"Right."
Of all people that he would be with it had to be one of his fan boy. Though it did make sense that the blond would pick Edgeshot. His Quirk (…the offensive part at least.) is all about sharpening things after all. And his costume is a ninja outfit.
In Orange.
(He swear he always got this feeling that the blonde would pull a Rasenshuriken out of nowhere most of the time in their Heroics class.)
Matatabi wondered if some higher power is toying with him. His costume is a ninja outfit as well after all. Just black, in different design and more stealthy than what Seiho has.
But ninja theme nonetheless.
"I was surprised that you with have pick my agency with a heavy hitting Quirk like yourself." Kamihara Shinya, Edgeshot told him.
Matatabi now in his hero costume answered, "Well, I may not look it but I'm more of a stealth specialist."
Edgeshot hummed as if in thought before turning to Seiho.
"I'm more of a speedster sir. I need to with my Quirk." Seiho answered, showing how his fingers turn pointed and razor sharp.
"I see. Come know. Welcome to my agency, there's much that we need to cover for your internship."
Edgeshot rubbed his chin, "Now, where did I put those Konoha forehead protectors? I knew I put them somewhere…"
Shiranui stare at the preteen in front of him, the pack of marshmallows on his hands long forgotten.
There's no mistaking that curly dark green hair that could be mistaken as seaweed. That emerald eyes and that freckle adorned face that formed a diamond if one is far enough.
The person in front of him is without a doubt Midoriya Izuku, Deku the ninth holder of [One for All]. The successor of All Might.
…or he was supposed to be.
He turn his gaze to the vigilante beside the teen. He was grinning cheerfully as if he didn't just bought the root and answer to all of his problem regarding his Quirk.
"The two of you are cousins." He pointed out, his tone as bland and dry as the desert.
"Yup!"
"Cousins." He repeated, stressing over the word turning to Deku.
"Yes."
"And more importantly, you are Majin."
"Correct." Deku nodded smiling as if everything happening is amusing him.
Shiranui bemoaned at his Quirk and cursed the endless sea of possiblite.
Why? Why did he have to ignore the neon warning signs? His Quirk already warned him! Even it was vague as 'Beware of Chaos and Mischief, the Contradiction is coming' he should have listened!
"And the reason for all this chaos is reincarnation."
"Well I wouldn't put it like that. You make it sound like it was our fault that we reincarnate in this world." Azrael just had the gall to look innocent when he said that.
His eye twitched at the asshole, "Tell that to the one year worth of severe migraine and hysteria and paranoia I went through because of you and your cousin."
Deku beside Azrael gave him an apologetic smile, "Sorry about the hysteria that my disappearance brought to you. I knew that I would have tipped off some people with foresight but I hadn't anticipated it on this level."
He would have calm by the apology if weren't for the fact that Deku is also Majin, the leader of the Foster village.
He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"It's not like I could do anything about it now. The two of you being here did clear up a lot of things." Yes the fate of this world had already strayed to far from the template world with the two of them reincarnating in this world.
"Are you okay? You look worn." Deku said to him in mild concern with Azrael frowning beside him.
"Huh?"
"Now that you said it, that white hair of yours is definitely not normal. I knew someone with Marie Antoinette syndrome, you have the same hair with them."
"I…" Somehow, he can't refute their claims. He sat down the his bed and picked on his white hair.
"…the parallel worlds are nigh infinite. Being forced to scourge each one of them 24/7 couldn't be exactly called healthy." He said ending with a sigh.
Azrael whistled, "Man, you have a shitty drawbacks."
"I'm used to it."
"What if I said that we could fix it?"
The statement have Shiranui blinking. Fix?
"What do you mean fix?"
He was answered with a smile from Deku, not really bothering to explained it to him.
"The right question would be; do you want me to fix it?"
"…" It's never easy with these cousin isn't it?
Vii-sama and Lucas-sama had something important to speak with Shiro so they asked him to accompany them. Ienari entered his cousin's room with snacks and drinks. He just finished catching up with his mother about the internship at the Satooya village.
"Lucas-sama, Vii-sama, Shiro! I brought some snacks!"
As he entered, he was greeted by the sight of two grinning abomination and his cousin sporting a white, angel like wings sprouting from his back.
Ienari, ever the one to cling to his sanity made a preemptive retreat.
"…I'll just return after your finished with… with… what ever your doing." He stated meekly as he escaped the room.
He wouldn't said it out loud but the sound of his cousin's wails about his sanity running away and the mad cackling coming from the two adults in children's body through out the house will give him enough nightmares for the next few days.
Jeanist look at his intern from head to toe as his intern did the same to him.
"You have great sense of fashion. I liked how you fitted a traditional outfit with a modern one." He said eying the tailored Shinto priest outfit made of durable and high quality water proof papers with a black sweater and a obviously tailored jeans and boots underneath.
It's refreshing seeing something unique instead of the usually body suit and cape costume format.
"Thank you, I could say the same to you." the intern, Kamishiro Shirako from the Foster village replied.
Best Jeanist smiled, "I believe that this internship could be worthwhile."
"I agree." Best Jeanist felt like he just found the perfect student for him.
"Object project, item no. 0231." Amehiko said as he pushed the button in the control panel. Glowing pixels began to form and arrange themselves behind the safety glass in the form of an apple.
A.C.A.I. present at the system spoke from the speakers, "[The subject is stable, no known anomalies detected. Experiment no.154, successful.]"
Behind the glass, Amehiko cheered. It takes him a lot of failures but he had finally managed to turn something organic in to a digital record for the Digital storage system he's been developing for Mikumo.
Sure the progress would be much faster if he asked for help from Mikumo but he didn't want to impose on him. The Storage system was supposed to be a surprised for him after all. Even if he was sure that Mikumo is pretty much aware of it.
"Man, you're good. As expected from Vii-chan's current prodigy."
What he didn't expect however was Lucas giving a hand to the Digital storage research.
Amehiko stammered a response at the praise. Even now, he still wasn't used to the attention and praised that he was getting. He was so used to people putting him down. It's only thanks to Mikumo that he is getting used to it. "T-thanks Oji-sama."
Lucas pout at the response. "Aww, why so formal? Call me Oji-chan instead!"
"B-but…! That would be disresp—"
"Nope! Call me Oji-chan, Oji-chan!" Lucas repeated, stressing over the word.
Amehiko tried to resist, but he felt powerless at the stare that Lucas is giving him.
It's so much like Tou-sama.
So eventually, Amehiko admit his defeat to the obviously one sided battle, "H-hai… Oji-chan."
Lucas grinned at him and pat his head. "Better!"
"[I feel left out, I also participate at the experiment you know?]" They heard A.C.A.I. mumbled at the speaker. His avatar at the nearby monitor could be seen pouting.
Lucas chuckled sheepishly, "Sorry my bad, It's not like you have a head for me to pat nor a body to interact with."
The only response they get was grumbling from the speaker and a sulking avatar of the A.I. from the computer monitor.
Lucas just continued to chuckled and turn his attention to Amehiko. "Anyway, I like your Digital storage system. There's so much potential and room for improvements."
"Really?"
"Yep! I'm pretty sure that we could give the sulking Axel-chan over there a physical body with this concept. "
"[Axel ja nai, A.C.A.I. da! And what do you mean that you could give me a body.]"
Lucas out his hands on his hips, grinning. "The Digital storage system's concept is to turn physical object in to digital information and store that in to a vast database. When one wants the object out, the object is then pulled out of the system by a complicated algorithm and neural and energy guiding software to arrange the data of the object to it's proper form. Similar to the Matter Collapsing technology used in the support industry for the Heroics and their support gear and costume."
The two nods at the explanation, while Lucas continue to explain.
"Amehiko had it easier as he had a molecular manipulation Quirk. So mapping the physical object's structures came easier and quicker for him."
Right, that's one of the reason why Amehiko advanced too quickly at the digital storage research.
"Now, think of using that system to form a digital body in the Material World instead of the other way around."
The two of them stared wide eyed at Lucas in full blown wonder at the implications. None of the would think of something like that. Amehiko didn't even thought that it could be possible. A.C.A.I. on the other hand is currently straining his processors at the new information in front of him.
"[I… I could interact with you and the others…?]"
"Yup!"
"[That's…]" the A.I. is loss for words. Unknowingly showcasing how much humanity he possess despite being a Artificial Intelligence made by Mikumo.
"That would mean that I would need to speed up the research for him right?" Amehiko spoke, Lucas noticed that he had this certain look in his eyes.
It was a good look. He liked that determination on his eyes.
Lucas smiled at the teen and the digital teen, "Right, just keep up the good work and we would be able to give Axle-kun a body. I even have a name ready for the project."
"The Mirage System."
"Boss." The red haired fish man grunted.
"Boss-sama! Tsuyu reporting for duty." the anthromorphic slime said with a salute.
"Same here." A black cat with a meter long tail with a curly tuff in the end said.
The other people at the room follow suit at regarding their Boss.
On his seat in the farthest end of the table, Mikumo smiled and greeted back.
"Report."
The Rikoi was the first to spoke, "The Interns from Pro-Heroics are doing fine with their physical training. The red haired girl from U.A. especially, she threw a dagger at my face." Normally, that kind of sentence would have made anyone worry, however…
Rikoi grinned like a shark.
"The look on their face when I catch and ate the dagger was just epic." The statement earned a few sweat dropped from the people in the room while a few smiled and laugh.
"I see, Schrödinger?" Mikumo asked the Quirked cat.
The black red eyed cat clear his throat and talked, "The Quirked animals living in the Satooya Forest Garden are adjusting well in their new habitat. Some had formed their own groups while the others preferred to be a lone wolf. They still cooperate and answer to me and I told them to don't stray to far from the border of the Forest garden. Also, I think every Quirked animals had been calling me the Lord of the Forest or something along the lines."
Mikumo chuckled, leave it to Schrödinger to subjugate a Forest worth of superpowered animals.
"The Nomi* clan has reported nothing strange in the mean time and had promised to report any abnormalities they spot."
The others shivered at the thought. They still had nightmares with the Quirked flea colony that decided that Humans deserved their wrath somehow. It's only because of Schrödinger that a deal with the colony was made possible.
Teleporting, telepathic colony of fleas with radar like abilities.
Once again, majority shivered at the reminder.
Mikumo smiled and nodded, "Gave them my regards if possible."
The Black cat nodded, "Noted."
A teen with bluish purple shaggy hair with green ends put up next. He might be young to be included in a meeting amongst adults but his experience with the Aogumo syndicate made him fit to be included. And the boy himself volunteered to work on taking care the plants in the mansion and the vast Forest garden. Apparently, the boy wanted to be a botanist. He's been guilty from all the things that he'd done under the Aogumo, taking care of the plants is the least thing that the boy thought he could do.
Of course, Mikumo told him that it wasn't necessary at all but the boy was rather insistent and he had seen the boy's resolve to do just that, Whether he forbid the boy or not.
"Um… the Forest is doing well. The grasslands parts are full of flowers and in full bloom. Multiple vegetations were added since last month and are growing strong and healthy."
"Good job, Tsurumi-kun. Please continue the good work." The teen stammered and bobbed his head in gratitude, "T-thanks Boss."
Others gave their reports as well. The Research Development, The Medical division, The Public relations, The Law firms, The Occult division, even A.C.A.I. gave his own report and so on.
Tsuyu was the last to gave his report about his intern that he picked fom the U.A. sports festival.
"Ne ne, Boss-sama, can I request a sword for Hanako-chan? Also a whip!" Apparently, it turns out that the clumsy girl actually has a potential for swordplay and using whips. Mikumo wasn't surprised, he and Lucas had saw the potential in her from the start. It's just that Tsuyu is the one who took the initiative to train and help the girl.
Mikumo smiled, "Sure, remember to stop by at the RD department after the meeting. I have the right sword and weapon in mind."
The young man grinned cheerfully, "Thank you! Boss-sama is the best."
After discussing a few more topics to them, Mikumo adjourned the meeting.
Beside him Lucas smiled fondly in nostalgia. "This meeting remind me of the past. It feels like it was just yesterday when I was still the head of the RD department with Lei-kun as my assistant."
Mikumo chuckled, "Ah… yes, you've been training him to replace your seat as the division head that time. It was funny how the kid didn't even knew that."
Lucas laughed, "His face when I told him was priceless." Lucas release his breath after a hearty laugh.
"Speaking of prodigy, Ame-chan was just indigenous. It's not every day that someone would make something solely for storing things. I mean, we would, if we had that kind technology in our past life. But certainly not something you'd expect from a boy who live where the technology focused in supporting Heroics as a profession of all things."
"Yes, he's really interesting. Did you know that I met him when he tried to steal food from my dirty kitchen?"
"Wait, really?"
"Yes, I may or may not have scared him until he passed out at first as well."
Lucas laughed, "I bet he shrieked so loud as well before passing out."
"On the spot as always."
"By the way Vii-chan, that artificial inteligence A.C.A.I. what's up with him? He's too… human." Lucas said, remembering his meeting with the A.I.. the A.I. was just to human, It's Mannerisms, It's speech patterns and It's teenager tendencies. Lucas knew his cousin's programming skills. It was without a doubt, borderline matchless barring for a few exceptions. But even then, he knew that even that was not enough to create something as human as the A.I. is.
"You're worried that he'll become something like Ultron?" Mikumo asked quirking an eyebrow.
"Well, It's only natural. Though to be honest, it was mix feelings. I know that a high end Artificial intelligence like him can be dangerous if leave unchecked but at the same time it felt like I was talking with a child. Still learning, growing and innocent. And for some odd reason, he felt really familiar."
Mikumo smiled then chuckled. "I made A.C.A.I. from this world's knowledge when it comes to A.I.s, and with that knowledge, I made a Sentience Developing algorithm for him to learn and grow on his own. You should have seen the A.I.s inside the U.A. bots, they were so sassy."
Lucas rubbed his chin, deep in thought. "Right… I remembered those in the manga, those witty robots."
"And more importantly, I base his base parameters from you and me. So basically, He's your nephew."
Lucas raised his finger ready to said something, but put it down after a thought. He sighed, "Verdammt Vii-chan, no wonder he felt familiar." Then he frowned.
"Also, wouldn't the term 'Spliced clone' be more appropriate?"
Mikumo huffed and crossed his arms on his chest, "I raised him first, I'm the Father. You can be his Uncle."
Lucas sweat dropped, "I don't think that's how fatherhood works Vii-chan."
Mikumo pouted and grumbled, "Sue me, I'm still not used to it. And It's not like your any better anyway."
Lucas laughed as he scratch his cheeck sheepishly, "Touché."
"Though, what kind of name is A.C.A.I.? Couldn't you choose a better name for the kid?"
"It wasn't exactly his name to be precise. Its a acronym that stands for Advance Cybernetic Artificial Inteligence, I told him that he could change it anytime he want."
Lucas shaked his head and pinched the bridge of his nose, "That wouldn't do Vii-chan! You know how kids are! Even if he doesn't like the name you gave him, he will keep it. It's something that you gave after all."
Mikumo fell in deep thought for a moment, "…your right, I shouldn't have done that. It's my mistake for assuming that he will take the initiative."
Lucas put a hand on his cousin's shoulder in a effort to comfort him, "It's okay Vii-chan, It's not like we can't fix it anyway. We could still give him a proper name. Though since you mess that one already, I veto choosing Axel as a name for him."
Mikumo twitched at the jab.
Only his wife and his cousin could stab him up front with such a cheerful expression.
"Hey Vii-chan."
"What is it?"
"What do you think about giving Axel-chan a corporeal body of his own?"
"…I'm listening."
Lucas grinned, "I'm pretty sure that you already knew about Ame-chan's Digital Storage System but we just manage to build up a possible theory on how to give Axel-chan a body based on the D.S.S."
Mikumo perked up in interest, "Ho…"
Lucas' grin turn in to a inhuman one. Elongated, with curly corners. He stared at his cousins, his sky blue eyes twinkling in mischief and excitement. "We called it Mirage system."
Mikumo grinned. His mouth morphing in to a jagged inhuman ones. One of his emerald eyes turn red as both glowed eerily in anticipation.
"Interesting."

I'm not a science expert or anything resembling one. I just thought that one up my self.
Also, I liked the Flea colony idea. It kinda just came out of no where but I liked it.
