Chapter eleven:

Briar begins flipping through the first book scanning each page quickly as she searches.

While waiting Hikaru turns to glance out the window as he thinks about his brother. He wonders if the other is terrified being all alone stuck inside of his own body while an evil being does whatever it wants to. He clenches his hands into fists on his lap and his teeth clench as well. If only he had kept his brother closer. If only he had brought him with him. He could have prevented this and now his own brother is suffering a nightmare situation. He turns to glance to Briar trying to calm himself a little reminding himself that they are going to try to get him back. He will not stop trying until he gets his brother back or he himself dies from trying. He has to do something after all. He notices that Jay seems to have turned to him, well as best as the blind man can manage, as though he had picked up on how he was feeling. He looks away not saying anything about it all.

"Ah." Briar's voice brings all attention to her. "This might be helpful."

Hikaru springs to his feet in excitement at hearing this. "What does it say?" He questions to the woman who after he asks begins explaining what she has found out loud.

"Well these specters use their hosts for their own purpose. And for a long time it was unknown how to break the one that is taken over from the specter." Briar looks up noticing hopeful looks that a way was found so she looks back to the page. "However one day someone descended from the sky shining with a glow of light. This person who looked like a deity of some sort or an angel used the power of light to send the Specters back to where they had come from."

"Does it say how we can get into contact with this being?" Hikaru questions feeling his heart pounding in his chest. He feels like he is so close to being able to getting his brother back.

"It wasn't recorded." Briar informs him. "At least not in here. The one who wrote this wasn't sure how it happened. Though left behind speculations from prayers of the people, those in temples calling upon any deity listening to bring salvation down upon the world to bring back happiness, or even that a deity just decided to end the suffering that the Specters were causing."

Hikaru kicks the air slightly as he growls in frustration at hearing this. "There has to be something that is able to help us!"

Briar and Jay glance to each other then turn to look back at the host club who look at each other worried that they won't be able to help Hikaru and Kaoru.

"We may know something that we can try." Jay informs them bringing some hope back into their expressions. "With the mention of this deity that came to help free the people from the Specters darkness it reminded us of something."

"We had read it a few weeks ago actually." Briar takes over in explaining. "There is a ritual to summon a being that can help out with things. We didn't think that another being could banish the Specters. That they could only be banished by those who have brought them to the world. This being most likely be able to help us out with our situation if the case indeed is that other beings can help in this. We will need salt to help summon it. The only thing about it is-"

"Who cares!" Hikaru snaps with impatience. "Let's get to getting this being brought here." He hurries out of the room to get to the kitchen to find the salt.

"What is it you were going to say about their being?" Haruhi asks looking gently at Briar who seems to be understanding of Hikaru wanting to get this done.

Briar turns away from where she had watched the ginger haired male take off and now she looks to Haruhi. "This being will only help for a price. When you tell it what you want then it will name it's price. It can vary from coins, to gold, to even exchanging your own life or freedom to gain its help. We would have brought up a different one if there was one we could think of that would help… We only know how to summon this one that has the ability we will need."

At hearing this the other host club members look to each other in concern and nervousness at hearing this.

Hikaru races back in carrying a box of salt. "Okay! Let's get to summoning this thing!" He notices the other host club members turn to him with worried looks. "What is with those looks? You should be happy that we are going to get my brother back!"

"Kaoru" turns to Shade and he nods his head to the guard to the right. He doesn't want to risk either guard getting a good enough look at him to realize he isn't actually a guard.

Shade heads to the guard and waits for one of the others to join her so as to not cause a ruckus when going after the guard.

"Kaoru" then nods to Twilight who also heads off.

Twilight arrives at the second guard.

The two Specters get to work whispering in the ears of the guards.

The guards at first glance around only to not see anyone causing them great confusion at seeing no one else around. They then glance away as the two Specters continue working.

"Kaoru" continues to wait as this goes on. He pretends to be standing guard there just in case any guards happen to pass by him. He peeks back to the guards who look to be becoming worse and worse as the two use their magic to find, then use, their weaknesses. He is glad to see the two finally slump back and just look defeated.

Twilight and Shade give him the signal so with Night following "Kaoru" heads past the guards and into the throne room.

The three specters follow along behind as they head into the throne room.

"Kaoru" walks confidently along the red carpet laid out leading right to the thrones where currently only the king is sitting in his throne.

The queen's throne is currently empty.

The king watches "Kaoru" only being able to see him moving closer only to then stop in front of the stairs that lead to the thrones. He looks up to the king meeting his eyes.

"Who are you and what have you come here for?" The King questions keeping his eyes on "Kaoru".
