Hello, everyone! This is chapter 11 of the story and I hope everyone will enjoy it! So without further ado, let's start!
Normal POV
Everyone present were shocked as soon as Hao appeared.
" Golem is the sorrowful symbol of a vanishing people... This guy is not bad." Hao said
" Hao!"
Hao turned to Yoh as he sighed.
" And here I thought it was someone else... It's you again, Yoh. Your injuries look serious. Were they caused by this guy?" Hao ask
" Those things don't matter, release Golem now... Why are you here now?" Yoh ask
" Yoh... Must I have a purpose to take a gentle stroll now and then?" Hao ask
" Nii-san! Golem's been restrained by that guy!" Redseb exclaimed as he ran towards Yoh
" Don't come here, Redseb! Run away, hurry... He's my brother." Yoh said
" My, my. Sorry, but we can't let you leave." A voice said
The two turned to the voice and footsteps approaching them.
' I believe I've said this before, your spirit belongs to us." Kanna said
" Ah! You're the ones from this morning...!" Redseb exclaimed
" Fufufu. At this stage, getting it or not doesn't matter, Hanagumi. Oh, so this is the Golem they've been talking about? I see. I've been finding the craftsmanship more and more detailed." Luchist said
" What do you mean by that, Luchist?!" Kanna ask
" What he means is, the child is not the one with lots of power, it's Golem!" Another henchman exclaimed
" You...! Who the heck are you guys...?!" Redseb exclaimed
" Damn it... Of all times... Is this the assembly of everyone at Hao's side?" Yoh grunted
" Two people are absent due to medical reasons!" Opacho confirmed
" Today's another busy day." Tabarsi said
" But it doesn't matter, because in the end we found a huge prey." Zhang Ching said
" The furyoku of those two kids only add up to 1600... But what's amazing is the amount of furyoku Golem has... That's 550,000! Is this the power of inner furyoku?" Peyote said
" 550,000?!" Redseb exclaimed
" 550,000... Inner... Furyoku?!" Yoh exclaimed
" Ah, is this the first time you've heard of it, Yoh-sama? Usually Shamans will use up their furyoku in order to create an Oversoul. Of course, if you have low levels of furyoku, you cannot summon a strong spirit. To supplement that fact, inner furyoku was created. They are like batteries. Like electricity, you can fill it with furyoku. But of course, you need to recharge it after using it!" Luchist explained
" Recharge? But where could over 550,000 worth of furyoku possibly..." Yoh said before coming to a realisation, " Can one really store furyoku in an item?!"
" This, you won't know unless you yourself are the creator. If you're not afraid of the consequences, you can ask him directly. You can ask Dr. Camel Munzer... The one who operates Golem by possessing his own daughter!" Luchist said
" What...?"
" But I don't think he'll admit to his evil deeds in front of his son, but that doesn't matter since Hao-sama..." Luchist said
" No... Like I'll ever let you try! You bastard!" Munzer exclaimed as Golem got out of the Spirit of Fire's grasp and flew up, " Golem is...! A machine made to save homeless people like us! How can I ever reveal that secret to people like you! Emeth Blast!"
A giant beam shot out of Golem's chest as it took out a part of the Spirit's of Fire's body.
" Every time an Oversoul gets damaged, the Shaman's furyoku decreases. Shuviiraa!" Munzer declared as he hit the Spirit of Fire again
" What's going on? What exactly is going on? Why would Dad possess Seyram...? The crimes he committed... What the heck are they?!" Redseb exclaimed
" Go to hell!" Munzer exclaimed as the Spirit of Fire immediately regenerated and grabbed Golem again
" Poor Devil..." Hao said
" Stop! Hao, I'm your opponent!" Yoh exclaimed as he fused his mediums into the Spirit of Sword
" You say you want to take me on? You actually think that I'll accept?" Hao ask
" Never thought of it. I'm very clear that no matter how hard I try, I can't beat you. Even so, I will not allow you to touch Golem." Yoh said
Hao sighed.
" Are you serious? ... Zhang Ching." Hao called
" Understood!"
Zhang Ching shot out his panda medium as it hit Yoh on his wound.
" Peyote."
" No problem." Peyote said as his skeleton puppet stabbed at Yoh's wound again
Yoh cried out in pain at the continuous attacks.
" Nii-san!"
" Turbine." Hao called but was met with silence, " ... Oh! Looks like the wishes you made to your spirit ran out today."
Tabarsi lowered his head and left it hung in shame.
" There's no need to be depressed!" Redseb exclaimed
" Hahaha. Excellent, Yoh. Now do you finally understand? At this point of time, you can't even defeat them. Let alone me. I praise you for your ingenuality by manipulating your Oversoul for medical treatment. However, that is not enough and I can't beat to see anymore. You are my other important half. So stop trying to act tough." Hao said as Yoh summoned his Spirit of Sword again, " I'll just leave after finishing off Golem."
The Spirit of Fire opened its jaws as You quickly flew up.
" I'm very sorry, Hao." Yoh said
" Nii-san!"
" Slash!"
The attack hit the Spirit of Fire as the others watched in silence.
" In... Insignificant." Hao growled
An angel immediately attacked the Spirit of Fire while wires restrained Golem.
" Yoh-kun! I'll handle Golem!" Lyserg shouted
" Lyserg?!"
" Angel! Is it the X-Laws?!" Luchist exclaimed
" You brat!"
The Hanagumi trio tried to dash to him before they were quickly blocked by ice.
" Oh... I don't recommend you guys to move a step closer. You might get a frostbite." Horohoro warned
" Boxers! Why is another pervert spoiling our plan?!" Matilda exclaimed
" I'm no pervert. My name's Horohoro." Horohoro said
" Apologies. I just bathed." Ren said
Yoh dissolved his Oversoul and fell to his knees.
" Nii-san!"
" Are you alright, Yoh?" Ren ask
" Ah, thank goodness for you guys, Ren, Horohoro. But what are you guys doing here?" Yoh ask
" I was the one who told them to come. Because what you said bothered me. I've been taking you ever since. I've seen everything." Lyserg said
" What I said?" Yoh ask
" Since I'm already here, might as well retaliate." Lyserg said
" But you said you saw everything..." Yoh said as he sweat dropped
" Of course I meant everything. I've even seen Golem murder Chocolove. My parents were killed by Hao, so I understand how they feel. That's why I didn't interfere." Lyserg said as he retracted his wires
" ... Lyserg."
" But, I'm beginning to understand what you've said. That's why I brought everyone here regardless of the perils that awaits us. To understand ourselves, that's when we can truly fight together under the bonds of our friendship." Lyserg said
" Is it friendship? I don't really understand it." Hao said
" Eh?"
" Up until now, I have never ever witnessed any type of friendships from anyone before. Sometimes having too much power can be painful as well." Hao said as the Spirit of Fire's hand regenerated again
" The arm that was cut off by Lyserg grew back...!" Horohoro exclaimed
" ... How is that possible...? Golem's Oversoul is capable of destroying a giant Oversoul! I can't believe that it can be restored! Just how much furyoku does he have?!" Munzer exclaimed
" Dad!"
" What?! The Reiryoku used in the giant Oversoul is 330,000...! The furyoku is 125 million?! What is this? Can something this powerful be restored three times?! No! So does it suggest that even if we attacked as planned, the amount of furyoku is still not enough?! The important thing to keep in mind is if we were to continue successfully, it's still too risky!" Munzer exclaimed
' Dad... Can't... you see me?" Redseb ask
" I see... So he is the father that was killed by Chocolove? But he was so involved in that thing that he would go as far as possessing his daughter, isn't that strange?" Horohoro said
" The price he had to pay in order to create that... Never would have thought that Chocolove's action would actually interfere with his evil plans. Now we don't know who's to blame." Ren said
" Don't worry, Redseb. Your dad's situation is one in which even God himself couldn't help. He had died putting all of his thought and energy into his beloved Golem, so he's not aware of what's happening around him. I do not know why your dad created him and how much he had sacrificed, but I'm positive this thing means a lot to him. So believe in your dad. He is a Shaman as well, right? People with the ability to see spirits can never be bad." Yoh assured
" Onii-chan..."
" Hmph... There is no good or bad. It's not something that anyone can decide." Horohoro said
" It doesn't matter what you're doing, but all the responsibilities will eventually return to you. In a world where law exists, one who does something wrong will have to be punished by the law. In a world where law does not exist, no matter what happens you'll never be protected by the law." Lyserg said
" So, if I attacked, then I will be attacked as well. But the most important thing is heart. We have already made preparations for that thought." Yoh said as he fused the Spirit of Sword again
" Hmph!"
" Then let us have a match!" Zhang Ching said
" Idiot! With only the few of you, you won't even be able to defeat us, let alone Hao-sama." Matilda said
" ... Is that so? Then let us join them in this fight." A voice said
" Where?!" Zhang Ching exclaimed
" They finally arrived." Hao said as he looked up
From the clouds, a giant red dragon flew down as it faced the Spirit of Fire and roared.
" What's that?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" Is that the first thing you say to us?" Kai ask
" Looks like we made it." Gaillard said
" Ai!"
" Aichi!"
" So? Fight us if you want to." Kai said
" So you guys still won't give up on Golem no matter what happens?" Luchist ask
" Yeah. Right now, everyone is here." Yoh said
" ... Is it friendship?" Hao thought
" That giant Oversoul is impressive. Spirit of Sword! It was created through Matamune's Oni Goroshi, right?" Hao ask
" Mata..."
" ... mune?"
" Yeah. That's why Amidamaru and I are able to invent it." Yoh said as he smiled
Hao smiled a little.
" It is becoming more and more painful to look at that giant Oversoul. Because... it may have been my only friend." Hao said as he looked up at the sky
" Hao-sama...?"
" The stars have appeared. Now that I think about it, I haven't been able to finish my walk yet." Hao said as him and his henchmen all flew away
" After he said 'becoming more and more painful'... He just left." Horohoro said
" For some reason, it feels a bit disappointing." Lyserg said
" Whew... We're saved..." Horohoro sighed
" Because if we had really fought, you would have been the first to die." Ren said
The two started bickering as Yoh sighed and plopped down to the ground while Kai dissolved his Oversoul as Aichi quickly crawled over to Yoh after being set down.
" Ai..."
" Yeah, I'm fine... That guy... The real purpose he came was probably to save me." Yoh said
" Eh?!"
" Because at that time, I was being attacked by Golem. The problem is just beginning." Yoh said as they looked over to Golem
" He's not moving though." Horohoro said
" These obsessed spirits will be bound by some sort of longings. He is probably still hanging onto the thought of Hao's shocking attack." Ren said
" Hao? His power is really strong. Even though we've been apart for so long, I only discovered his true power when we had met." Horohoro said
" But Yoh-kun, what are you going to do about Golem? Even if we fight, it seems that our furyoku is not enough." Lyserg said
" Who are you kidding? Why did you think we came here for?" Gaillard ask
" Huh?"
" Did you not look up on our own furyoku levels?" Kai ask
" Not yet..." Horohoro said
" But it's true that they are strong, especially after that giant Oversoul display." Ren said
" If that's so, then hurry and destroy the Golem, get Seyram out of there!" Redseb exclaimed
Kai felt a tug on his pants as he carried Aichi up.
" What's wrong, Aichi?" Kai ask
" Ai, Bai..."
" Really? ... Then, you don't want us to..." Kai trailed off
Aichi nodded as Kai sighed.
" This is a problem..." Kai muttered
" What is it?" Gaillard ask
" He said to not attack the Golem. He has no intentions to harm it." Kai said
" So we won't be able to fight?" Gaillard ask
" No. And I doubt those guys can handle Golem with their current furyoku levels. They've used most of it up." Kai sighed
" Then what are you guys here for?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" It's just to make sure that you guys will be kept alive. We wouldn't want anyone else to die again." Kai said
" Huh?!"
" But I still wish to help Redseb. That's why I decided to stop Golem first. Although I don't know how, there will always be a way out." Yoh said
At his words, the others let out an exasperated sigh.
" What's wrong?" Yoh ask
" Again with the 'There will always be a way out'. I'm already exhausted, can't we just get this over with by ending it with a fight?" Horohoro ask
" Then that is 'a way out'." Lyserg said
" Heh... So you mean that whatever you do, it's best to have some hope? But it's really annoying. I never thought that there would be this many strong Shamans in a Shaman Fight. It will prove to be difficult to win." Ren said
" Well, I will be able to become the Shaman King." Horohoro said
" How does that work, when the Shaman King will obviously be our Maiden Jeanne?" Lyserg sighed
The three started having a staring match as the others sweat dropped.
" Hey... Onii-chan, they are starting to fight among themselves while ignoring Golem completely. Are they really your friends?" Redseb ask
" Yeah, they are always like that so don't take it personally, Redseb. They may seem like that, but actually they are really sensitive. No matter how much they complain, they will still try to solve any annoying problems to the best of their abilities. And they all have the same goal as well. They are all my friends. So they will be fine... to take care of... the rest..." Yoh muttered as he collapsed
Gaillard turned and quickly caught him.
" Nii-chan! Something happened to Nii-chan!" Redseb exclaimed
" Can you shut it?! He had been injured pretty badly, so it's natural for him to faint." Horohoro said
" How useless! Took him this long to relax?" Ren huffed
" We have ready contacted the doctor, there's no need to be worried." Lyserg assured
" Once you lose your cool, you lose the fight." Ren said
" Hasn't Yoh taught you that yet?" Horohoro ask
" You guys...!" Redseb exclaimed
" Who said that he will become Shaman King? The one who will obtain that title shall be Golem and I! Camel Munzer! Emeth Blast!" Munzer declared as the same giant blast shot out of Golem
They quickly dodged the beam as Kai and Lyserg summoned their giant Oversouls to carry the injured and Redseb up while Ren had to jump in to save Horohoro.
" Nice job, Ren! We're safe as well!" Lyserg exclaimed
" I'm sorry, Ren. But Golem is-" Horohoro said
" I know. But the most important is to figure out how to stop him!" Ren said
" ... Dad...!"
" You asked how to stop Golem? You want to stop Golem...? With your tiny furyoku? Don't make fun of me! Golem didn't enter the Shaman Tournament for petty reasons like yours!" Munzer exclaimed
" ... Hey, old man... Are you saying that saving the population of the Koropokkuri is a petty reason?" Horohoro ask
" Saving the Koropokkuri...? How amusing. How will kids like you understand what I have been through, my tragic past!" Munzer said
" I only know one thing - That the strong will defeat the weak! At least I know that your heart is even more fragile than mine!" Horohoro said
" My heart... is more fragile?" Munzer repeated
" Yeah, it's even more fragile than glass!" Horohoro said
" You..." Munzer growled as the Golem's palm pushed Horohoro and sent him flying into the air, " I told you not to make fun of me!"
The others watched as Horohoro was flung away as Kai sighed.
" Horohoro!"
" Damn it! Why are you always like this?!" Ren exclaimed
" No, not always, Ren!" Horohoro said as he flipped and landed on a tree, " Fumon Tonkou! I had just dodged his attack!"
" Impossible! When did he...!" Ren exclaimed
" I don't know if furyoku symbolizes strength in your spirit, but I've never believed in numbers! If you say idiot, then I'm the king of idiots!" Horohoro exclaimed as he jumped off the tree and towards Golem to freeze it
" He froze!" Redseb exclaimed
" I have already taken pity on him, so don't worry! So now you won't be able to move, let alone regenerate! Go Kororo! Nekefuike Kiroro! I will crack Golem in half and drag you out of there!" Horohoro declared as he swung his ice
" Idiot!" Munzer howled out as the ice broke, " It's nothing but a piece of ice cube, you think that would restrict Golem and I? Idiot! Why don't you try and dodge my Emeth Blast!"
Ren quickly appeared in front of Horohoro again.
" He was right. Even if you can use Fumon Tonkou, you still can't endure that wave of furyoku. If you're going to use low furyoku level in battle, then you should at least think of a strategy and fight sensibly! My attack, Togenkyou!" Ren declared as weapons pierced out of the ground
" Hey, you used up all your furyoku as well!" Horohoro exclaimed
" We have to stop that Golem, right? Then we have to attack in full power! Using your furyoku little by little is useless!" Ren said
" Ren..."
" Although, Fumon Tonkou is probably at your limit already." Ren sighed
" Bastard! If you're annoyed then say it to my face!" Horohoro exclaimed
" If that guy is consuming his furyoku, then that means we have a chance! Horohoro! Use all your furyoku and freeze its four limbs! And I will attack the core in his body! We have to attack completely, not letting him regenerate!" Ren exclaimed as he used his giant Oversoul
Kai shook his head as he looked at Overlord. Instantly, Overlord grabbed Ren and Horohoro just as a blast from Golem's head was about to fire and flew off into the sky with Lyserg's Oversoul.
" You guys are really slow." Kai said
