Review responses

NightHowler0: I loved writing it. Hiccup has grown so powerful with his clanmates, he could just heal her back from death's door. The alpha female position is the most coveted, only one can exist. Me too.

Arraia: I'll try and thank you. I'm honored that you think so highly of my story.

Mark Andrew: Yeah, sorry and I will. Hiccup infused his mana/essence into the egg to "Corrupt" it, thereby bolstering the life growing inside. Hiccup is Grayson's only and most cherished son, so he would judge anyone who wants to be closer to him. Well, to be honest, Cyrai did "steal" Hiccup's first kiss.

OechsnerC: Thank you, I like writing what you like reading.

Umbra Lycan: Thanks for the praise and stay tuned, another is on the way!

Now Account: Yeah, but everything must end sometimes.

Back to the action!

Epilogue

Nar POV

Several days later, Hiccup's Cove

The red gem's mana siphon had been built quickly by Diggy and his counterpart, all while Grayson watched with his son by his side. The elder was amazed how quickly Hiccup managed to surpass his understanding of magic and its applications. The egg that his son had brought back with them was secured in its own incubator. Resting in a padded bed on a pedestal, a pair curved arms rotated around the egg. The heaters built into the inner surface of the arms radiated intense heat, feeding it into the growing life within.

While the blue siphon powered the cove's buildings, the red siphon powered the newest defenses designed by Hiccup. Magi-steel obelisk were being built off the coast of the Otherside, each enchanted with the 'Displacement fog' spell. The magic fog caused any non-shielded ship that entered the mist to be transported, completely overshooting his side of the island. Once enough of them are completed, no ship would be able to intrude on his home.

Flashback, the day before

After Hiccup, Grayson and the girls arrived home, the teen told his father all that had happen since his departure. The elder was intrigued when he heard about the enhanced wildlife Hiccup and his clanmates had discovered. After dinner, Hiccup offered his room to Grayson for the night, igniting another argument between his betas. When the spat threatened to turn physical, Hiccup put his foot down, much to the joy of his father.

Morning

Hiccup had woken from the couch and showered, he yawned as he walked into his kitchen. "Morning, son", Grayson greeted his boy while sipping some tea and sitting at the table.

"Morning-yawn-Dad", a few minutes later, Cyrai, Zia and Heather came down and joined them for breakfast. After cleaning up, the five stepped outside, "So dad, how long are you staying?".

"A few days, then I have to get back to my campaign", he ruffled Hiccup's hair.

The teen took a deep breath, "I understand dad, so you're off to see Gobber?".

"Yes, I have to thank him for keeping my boy safe and happy, Zia and Heather will come along to guide me around", the elder motioned to the beaming demonettes.

An hour later

Cyrai finished tending to the crops in the greenhouse, she stepped out and looked around. The blonde noticed the window to Hiccup's workshop was dark and wondered where he had gone. She heard a faint hum come from the training grounds, 'I hope he isn't doing something crazy'. Cyrai glided over and spots the teen, a magic circle held between his hands as he holds them towards a meter tall, squared metal pillar.

He finished casting the spell just as she touched down, "Hiccup, what are you doing?".

The alpha looked back, "Oh, hey Cyrai". He walked over to a portable power cell housing and coiled magi-steel cable, "I'm just putting the finishing touches on a security prototype". Hiccup set down the generator and began to walk backward towards the obelisk, while uncoiling the cable.

"Please tell me it isn't going to blow up", Cyrai said with a slight twinge of worry on her voice.

"C'mon, when was the last time something I built blew up?", Hiccup dropped the cable before he plugged it in.

"May I need to remind you about the first time you turned on one of your 'Defense Grid' sentries?", she crossed her arms.

"So, it went a little haywire", he shrugged.

"A little?!", Cyrai screeched, "It blew off half the storage's roof and wrecked the house!". Hiccup held his hands up defensively, "It took two days to patched up the holes and rebuild the roof!".

"Okay, you got me there", he groaned. "Don't worry, this one's safe", he plugged the cable in and stepped back. The pillar hummed and began to glow red, both growing in intensity until it flashed. The obelisk's glow died down and pulsed every so often, then it started emitting mist. The fog created a gap around the pillar while surrounding it, "Watch this".

Cyrai watched him pick up a stone and toss it into the mist, fully expecting for it to hit the surrounded obelisk. Instead, the stone shot out of the other side of the fog, "What the?!".

"Cool, isn't it?", Hiccup said with slight amazement, "Dad taught me 'Displacement fog', magic taught not written down". He turned off the generator, causing the mist to dissipate. Cyrai watched him walk up to the obelisk, "The real ones will be much bigger and I'm planning on building enough of these to surround our home".

Flashback end

Hiccup's workshop

Knock-knock, Hiccup set down his tools next to his repaired fury, "Come in". He spun around just as Zia walked in a moment later. She looked over his shoulder, seeing the hologram of a shoulder held heavy weapon.

"What's that?", he follows her gaze to the project he was working on.

"Oh, it's something for Cyrai", he shrugged and turned off the hologram, "Anyway, what's up?".

"I received a message from Heather and Zia, the village is throwing a party and invited us".

"So, what did my father say?", Hiccup stepped out into the main room with Zia.

"Well son-", Grayson surprised his son with his presence, "Seems like some of the mortals wish to express their gratitude for saving their foolish lives".

"Really?", the alpha sat down on the couch next to Heather.

"Yes, and since Gobber asked me to attend, I was hoping you would come along?", the elder raised his unobscured eye's brow.

"Of course, dad", he smiled at his father, "I'd be more than happy to!". He turned to Heather, Zia and Cyrai, "What about you three?".

"I'll go", shrugged Zia.

"Me too", said Cyrai.

"I-I'll go I-if you want me to", Heather was still uneasy around Vikings without Hiccup, Zia or Cyrai.

Later, the Great hall

The party was in full swing by the time the devi-kin arrived. Lead by Gobber… and surprisingly Gunther, nearly a third of the village were present. Many of them were ones who sympathized the teen, realizing that behind the intimidating demonic persona was a kind protector. "Thank hel fur' sendin' us tha' boy ta' save our sorry butts!", Hoark cheerfully hollered, taping his mead filled mug against Gunther's.

"Helheim?", the Hofferson chuckled, "You sure Asgard didn't send 'im!?". His declaration ignited another round of cheers in the hall, which grew louder when the teen and his entourage stepped in.

Many sympathizers walked over to congratulate and thank Hiccup for saving them, "We can't thank ya' enough Hix, we're sorry for how bad we treated ya' before".

"It's all good, but thanks for apologizing", his friendly smile put many of them at ease.

"Ah 'iccup, Val's probably smiling down at ya', seein' how furgivin' 'er son is", Gobber placed his hand on his shoulder.

Hiccup looked around at the crowd, "Huh, I thought with most of the council here celebrating, Stoick himself would at least be present".

"He's probably still sulking somewhere", Grayson scoffed.

"Aye, 'e 'asn't 'ad a tongue lashing tha' bad since Valka", Gobber sighed.

"Hmm, she sounded like my ideal kind of woman", Hiccup didn't find his father's comment unsettling at all.

Later

The hooligans continued to celebrate the end of centuries of war, some even passed out from indulging themselves too much. Hiccup sat in the head table with Zia to his right and Cyrai to his left. Heather sat beside Zia and talked more about her experience being an amalgam with Hiccup, Cyrai chatted with Gobber since they barely knew each other.

A few minutes later, Grayson asked the two betas and gamma if he could speak with them outside. As soon as they left, Ruff appeared while dragging her brother, surprising Hiccup with their presence. Both twins wanted to thank him for not only saving them but their parents too, he accepted their thanks. Ruff took a seat next to Hiccup while her brother wandered off to enjoy the party.

Clearing near the village outskirts

The three girls followed Grayson as he made his way out of the village, his silence unnerved them. When they arrived at the clearing, Grayson stopped and spun around, "Here we are". He cleared his throat, "Ahem, now that we have a bit of privacy, let me begin by expressing how grateful I am that my son has found you three. The thought of him having people who will look out for him brings me much peace of mind".

"Of course, sir, we all owe Hiccup so much that we may never be able to repay his kindness", Zia spoke first.

"That's wonderful to hear", the elder sigh. "Now, you may not know how special my son is to me. He is the most important thing to me in all the realms, my very existence is due to my son. It pains me to have to leave him, but there are things that I must do to ensure he is safe", he said sadly.

"I'm sure he understands, sir", assured Cyrai.

"I know, which leads me to my next point", Grayson fixed his attire. "Now that you know how much I love my son, listen very carefully. If anyone hurts him, emotionally or physically, they will suffer dearly", little by little, the surrounding grass around the elder demon began to wither. "Even if they run, I will find them and plunged them into a pit of absolute terror and despair so horrible that not even death will spare them", gusts of winds swirled around Grayson as he continued his monologue. "No nightmare they can image will come close to what they will experience!", The three felt an aura of absolute dread wash over them. Grayson calmed himself before he lost his composure, "So please take good care of my precious boy in my absence, understood?".

Zia, Cyrai and Heather were pale and breathing heavily from the overwhelming authority that came from their alpha's father, "W-we will, s-sir".

"Thank you, let us return to the festivities, shall we?", the elder spoke in a cheery tone. He turned to lead them back but looked over his shoulder, "Oh, and all three of you have my blessing but try not to rush my boy… he'll decide once he's ready".

Morning, the next day

The four teens gathered at the training grounds to see Grayson off, he sees Hiccup tearing up, "Don't worry son, I'll be sending letters when I can".

"I know pops", the alpha sniffled, "I wish you could've stayed a little longer".

"Me too son", Grayson looked to the girls, "But there are things I have to do".

Hiccup walked up to his father and buried his face into his chest, "Okay dad".

"Good, but listen closely son", his son looked up at his serious tone. "While I'm proud to see how strong you've gotten, be watchful. Your power may draw danger not only from this realm but from elsewhere as well. I'll try my best to look out for you but be prepared to protect yourself and your partners".

"DAD! They're not my girlfriends!", Hiccup flusteredly replied. Behind him, Zia, Cyrai and Heather blushed at Grayson's indirect approval.

"Whatever you say son", the elder said impishly. He snapped his fingers, creating a howling rift above him. Grayson spread his wings and floated up, "I'll send word to you when I can". He placed his hand on his chest and smiled, "See you soon, my son".

"I look forward to it, dad", Grayson flew into the rift before it closed. The betas and gamma approached Hiccup when they heard him sniff.

"Are you alright Hiccup?", Zia rubbed his back, trying to comfort him.

"Y-yeah, I'm okay", he turned her, letting the silver haired demoness see his smile.

Cyrai pulled Hiccup into a side hug, shoving his face into her bust, "You heard your dad, he'll be back in no time!".

The alpha eeped when his face was smothered by warm softness, setting off Zia, "Cyrai, quit bothering Hiccup!".

The tall blonde grinned when she saw his entranced expression, "He doesn't seem too uncomfortable to me". Cyrai lets go of Hiccup just before Zia pounces on her, igniting a grabbling match between the two beta females. Hiccup gasped while blushing up a storm, 'Why'd you have to say that dad!', knowing his father knew how the girls would take his statement.

"Are you okay, Hiccup?", Heather helped him up.

"Yeah, I'm good", he sighed, then noticed her hand interlocking with his.

"A-re you b-bothered by us?", the gamma meekly asked, Hiccup's blush returned when he sees her adorably biting her lip.

He looked away and rubbed the back of his head with his free hand, "No, not really". Hiccup looked back at her and smiled, "I kinda like it". It was Heather's turn to eep, her face turning red and shaking nervously. He looked back to his betas, then gazed around his cove, 'Yeah, I do love my life'.

(A/N: Whoo, and that's the epilogue. A touch of fluff to end my story until I decide to write a sequel. Oh, I almost forgot, I'm already working on my next story. Until next time guys and gals, see ya!)
