Britt's Pov:

The night was something I wasn't sure about as I woke up in the house of Atem's place, I remembered the party where we were dancing but other than that I couldn't remember anything else. It was completely blank but I realized I was on a bed with arms around me. I went to move but the arms around me only tightened their grip some. Looking back I noticed Atem was awake looking at me with his eyes seeming to be amused.

"Morning." Atem said "Morning, what happened?" I asked "Your first turn happened, I shifted keeping up with your wolf all night until you got tired and turned back. I got you back here before anyone saw you exposed." Atem said "Exposed?" I asked, then it suddenly came back the sudden pain when seeing the moon as I put my hand over my stomach worried. Atem put his hand over mine "our pup or pups are fine, it's normal for a she-wolf to turn while carrying." Atem said

I questioned if I should be glad about that or if I should question about my human life. I was going to be here for awhile to the point of having this child or children. I shifted in his arms though as I kissed him feeling an overwhelming feeling of wanting to be close. I knew from what he told me it was my neediness from being with his pup along with the full moon close. What I didn't realize was his mark on me only made this more intense when Atem pulled away.

"We should get you something to eat." Atem said, "First turns can be tiring but you are probably very hungry." "I.." Before I could finish I heard my stomach growl which made me blush

"See you are hungry." Atem said

Before I could object to him he was already up as I also noticed I was dressed and I knew there was a less likely chance my outfit would rip tonight. I felt bad that he'd gave me that white dress and it was ripped. I had no idea that my wolf was white until I heard a knock on the front door. I went to see who was at the door as everyone last night had seemed to be nice. When I opened the door I noticed a brunette girl with her arms crossed.

"Oh it's you." Jade said
"Have we met before?" I asked clearly confused
"I saw you when he brought you in, you were asleep with your arms on something in your arms." Jade said, "So you're the mate."

The hostile behavior coming off of her felt more threatening than I've felt with anyone before. I started realizing I could sense when people possibly meant me harm. Before I could even get her to talk more she just pushed past me walking in like she owned the place. I didn't realize I was about to see something far more worse as Atem came in.

"Get out!" Atem yelled at Jade

"I was supposed to be your mate, not this woman who looks like an average girl." Jade said, "You're the next king of this area!"

When I heard her say that he was the next king of the area I was in total shock to hear this. I couldn't understand how my boyfriend who was my reason for becoming what I am had a secret. The biggest secret someone could have hidden from the one they said they love. Atem didn't seem to be phased by her words as he looked at me, his look said he'd explain everything.

"I won't repeat myself Jade, get out!" Atem yelled as he pushed her towards the door and made sure she left.
"You're a prince?" I asked
"Yes, but I didn't want my mate to be someone who wanted me for my title." Atem said, "A mate can be born human and still give off the scent of the true mate."
"Scent of the true mate?" I asked
"When you walked into the college class, your scent immediately told me what you were meant to be." Atem said "The gods don't lie."

I realized quickly that even though he was part of a big secret being the werewolves that the Egyptian Gods dated way back were one thing my family still believed. We had the royal life lineage in our blood so to hear I was chosen by the gods to be his mate that was kind of a big deal.

"I love you Britt, I didn't want to force you into this life." Atem said
"The private lessons?" I asked
"To benefit both of us, You were behind on the studies." Atem said
"Were you seducing me?" I asked
"maybe at first but it didn't work." Atem said

I felt him take my hand and lead me to the kitchen where I saw someone cooking. I thought he was cooking but then he had to come to my rescue cause of the wolf girl who'd come in here. He walked over pulling a chair out for me as I took a seat.

"Who is cooking?" I asked
"You don't remember him?" Atem asked

I was confused at first what he was talking about when the man turned around and I saw David. I remembered how respectful David was to me last night so it actually brought a smile. I had questions but I figured I'd figure out over the time. David placed the plates down and then he excused himself out of there.

"How long was he here?" I asked
"He came before you woke, he wanted to make sure you were ok." Atem said, "He's a good friend."
"How nice of him." I said

When we ate it was good that I finished the whole thing before I realized it was even gone. I almost didn't realize how hungry I was but Atem got up getting more on my plate. I knew I was eating for me and the pup that he put there but still there was something more to this.

"There's another party tonight." Atem said, which got my attention as I looked at him.
"Do we have to go?" I asked
"We don't have to but you should mingle with the community." Atem recommended
"What else are you wanting to discuss?" I asked
"We should set a day for me to meet your parents." Atem said

I almost choked on my food hearing him say we should set a time for him to meet my parents. My parents may end up disappointed in me with being pregnant and actually leaving these past days with him. I told them I was going with a friend but they didn't know where.

"Isn't that a bit risky?" I asked
"Maybe, but you'll be spending full moons with me." Atem said
"I spend most of my after school with you." I reminded him

I noticed he smirked as he stood up going over to me and kissed my forehead seeing my worry. I wondered what he was going to do but then I figured he probably had to go see his father the king. Also preparing for tonight that he was going to be taking me to the party again.

"I have to go do something but here I thought you might want this." He said putting a picture in front of me

II looked at it seeing the white wolf in the photo and somehow I knew that was me. I smiled at the picture taking it and then heard him leave to go do his business.

Atem's pov:

After Jade's rude behavior I didn't want to take any risks when it came to my mate's future. Jade was a half she-wolf of the area but she didn't know when to not cross the lines with me. I wanted nothing more than to kick her out but with Britt watching, I had to be civil. Britt wasn't ready to know the true ways of the wolf yet with her first turn.

She can never go back to her ordinary human life, so her life with me as a werewolf will be the life she lives. I thought

When I came upon the palace I saw the guards there ready to greet me and they let me pass without a second thought. My father was the king of the area and I was next in line that is why finding a mate sooner than later was important. Walking in the throne room I saw him waiting for me like I expected, we had this meeting every year about my future and finding my mate.

"Atem" Father said
"Hello Father." I said
"I've heard from some guards who walk around the area you have finally found a mate." Father said
"I have." I confirmed, "She's adjusting to the way things are. Her first turn was last night."
"Ah, the white She-wolf people spoke of who already had a mate mark." Father said

I was very proud to be the mate of the white she-wolf since white wolves were very rare in the area. Father knew I had my reasons for not bringing her to the palace to meet him yet. Britt was mine already and I didn't need him approving her to his standards.

"So she is the future Queen of the land." Father said
"She is from the outside world, where I teach college classes." Atem said
"She was born human and you converted her." Father said a bit annoyed
"The Gods chose her for me. You of all people know when we smell jasmine scent it is the gods telling us we have found the one." Atem said
"I want to meet her Atem. Bring her to the party tonight." Father said
