Hey i hope the story is enjoyable so far it will take longer to post then usual bit i havent stopped writing and if i was gonna stop i wouldn't go without giving the story the ending it deserves.so far im still at full dedication I just need time.
The sun rises over the east mountains illuminating the territory in its rays. the light breaks through into Cain and Humphrey's Den, waking everyone that was sleeping. Humphrey, Cain and Dylan and Dolly slept on a air mattress in the back of the den .
Yawns break out echoing through the wide earth mouth, from everyone. Cain snapped awake turned to Humphrey awake staring at the ceiling. "Hey, you ok?" Cain asked moving to Humphreys bed laying next to him." Yeah, just thinking about all thats happened so far."
"The creatures roaming around, the pup getting murdered after cult rescue and what's next? other wolves start to go missing?"Humphrey added
Cain leans up grabbing a dusty brown leather book off the stone shelf, flipping to a page concealing a drawing of a portal and step by step instructions. The outside was a traced square by obsidian and saying an incantation of the place you want to go.
"That how your gonna send them home?" Humphrey asked sitting up to Cains level to see what's in the book too.
"Yeah, quick and simple plus we dont have to make a few week travel to take them back. what would happen while were gone we dont exactly know. that's why were resorting to this." Cain got up grabbing his lighter a piece of chalk rock and equipped his Bowie knife with an original wood epoxy handle stainless steel blade 6 inches and big.
"Good morning!" screamed a young ladies voices from behind both guys,Cain turned and smiled directly at Dolly who woke up. "Morning sleepy head! " Cain replied happily
His jaw begins to widen a little admiring Dolly in her curly fur really attractive same with her brothers.
"Dang shes pretty" Cain spoke consciously
"Dude are you ok ? Dolly asks curiously as Cain snaps out of his trance and smiles. "yeah I'm good just ready to get the day started." he replied walking out of the den towards the Hunting grounds.
Candu catches glimpse of the tall define human walking towards him, since he was the one that caught prey today.
" Good morning, Cain are you ready for todays mission?" Candu asked recieving a confused look from him.
"Good morning and what mission?" Cain replied
" Winston, wants you and Humphrey to explore out to the east we heard screams from thier territory last night and we need to check up and see if things are ok." Candu explained
"Ok I'll inform Humphrey and let him know." Cain replied
" Yeah now that I think about it I was patrolling the other night and there is some wierd stuff starting to happen. voices blow through the wind at night talking about killing us off one by one, I hope it dont happen. But I'll have my eyes open."Candu added dragging Cain a half caribou for him and his brother.
"Thanks Candu" Cain said
" No problem " He replied
Camden London
Delilah is in tears crying on Doug's shoulder, Doug who is her Husband is trying hard not to cry himself as they wait for PC Pearl. it's been a day since Dylan and Dolly went missing to Canada, with it being eight in the morning theres a knock at the door.
A pup wearing a light blue collar and dark blue specals around it named Dawkins answers the door. behind it reveals a muscular grey horse wearing a vest and badge.
" I got a report of a missing Dylan and Dolly!" PC Pearl said in fright both parents came to the door.
" Yes they went missing last night and havent been home for 14 hours." Delilah said in tears.
The day goes on and the dalmatian family split all over town
A Black and brown rottweiler one of thier friends happened to catch sight of one of the posters and slowly she began to cry."T-Thier missing.."
Back with the pack
"Are you sure this is bound to work ?" Dylan asked as Cain struck a match and a white portal spiraled open and an image of Camden flashed up. Dylan shuts up and eyes grow wide.
"You were saying Humphrey, Dylan and Dolly go through and Cain goes through hearing faint singing."
" tHe LoNdon BRidge is falling Down FAlling down." In the background faint screams could be heard with sirens flaring up and the shout of a mothers voice holding a glowing yellow blade as half of camden was in flames.
Present
Cain gasps for coming back to reality, seeing his brother and two dalmatians and the big Ben clock in front of him.
"Home sweet Home!" Dylan and Dolly shout in unison, looking around examining the area Humphrey happened to notice a poster of the kids with missing written on it.
"Cain we need to get them home." Humphrey said pointing out the poster. He nodded in agreement but a female officer shouted from behind.
"Dylan?! Dolly?! is that you?" the female asked as the group turned to see PC pearl standing behind them.
"PC Pearl!" Dylan and Dolly scream in unison ounce again hugging the officer tight. She smiled as they let go.
"You kids have alot of explaining to do ."she said upsetting the kids, Cain made his way up to her. Excuse me maybe I can help explain I know most of what happend. Pearl gave him an anger curious look for a few before being ok with it.
" Ok well come on then we haven't got all day." pearl commented
Walking down the street a man in brown rugged pants and white shirt walked passed he was one of those hobo guys but looked like the type who could have a head on his shoulders he had a skinny head black beard and broad smile.
minutes later they finally reached to the dalmatians house, parents stand at front door with joy. Both parents crush thier children in a hug relived to see thier ok.
"Dylan and Dolly Dalmatian! Where have you been!" Delilah screams in outgoing rage.
" We were."
Before Dolly could finish Cain taken over
" In a warp, they appear at certain times through out the world to take people who jump through to certain places and or dimensions, countrys or states."
He finished and both parents were shocked at the reason why they dissappeared especially pearl.
"So, I guess Dolly and I will make our way to our rooms. Were probably still grounded." Dylan exclaimed as they made thier way past thier parents into the house then goe pulled back into a hug.
"Your not grounded and were not mad either, were just glad your home safe and sound." thier mother said forehead kissing them both she turned to thank Cain as she was about to she didnt say a thing but focusing attention on the glowing purple steel hilt.
" Theres more out there? theres still a chance?"
" Excuse me for a moment." Delilah said walking into the house up the stairs, grabbing a loose wool string pulling down the attic ladder climbing up hiding her trail by closing the door.
She walked over to the north wall of the house which was brick, putting her two front paws up feeling around for it finding a loose brick to her left removing it revealed a black and grey hilt. Delilah grabbed it holding into both paws takeing basic attack position. after a few minutes the hilt glows a bright yellow she opens it revealing the sun bright orangish-yellow blade.
Flash Back
"Try again" Says a wiener dog in red hat and black robes
"I-i cant! it hurts!"Delilah replied gripping her hand has a pointer finger covered with ice a spike through her hand the rest was on fire or filled with a dark smoke.
" Your mind isnt just your ally, your tool or your ultimate weapon it is also your enemy working is only a factor of the spirit warrior timeline. using the mana of the moral spirit this attains for both good and evil. Now...try again cast an ice spike at me and remember remain calm and follow through.
Delilah stand oh two legs one in front another in back bent, she gracefully leans back palms above eachother. The smoke turns to chilling air and a sharp point comes to her palm, she throws her arm forward releasing an ice spike.
The dog opened a red field blocking it.
"Good! see I knew you could." the dog says with a mischievous grin and souless eyes his head covered by the hood of his robes so you couldnt see it.
"Go get some rest you've earned it" the wiener dog adds
Delilah bows "ok master" she said before walking off shutting the door when left.
Flashback ends
Delilah, wiping tears from her eyes knowing the dog that trained her wasnt a very good dog.
"Hey are you ok?" a male voice spoke behind her she turned an expected doug to be there but it was that grey wolfs friend.
"yeah I'm fine." Delilah replied trying to hid her sword. Cain pulled his out revealing its purple hilt glow. "just like me and Humphrey." Cain stated pointing to her sword hilt, she reveals it to him catching eye on the golden glow.
"Your an angel?" Cain asked getting a nod from Delilah
"You a demonic-angel? your blade is purple so that's why it came to mind." Delilah asked
" I wish I was that powerful,but no I'm just in between sides." cain answered
"What about your friend?" Delilah questioned looking out the attic window seeing Humphrey talking to her husband.
" He hasnt gotten a hilt yet, but he will here soon." Cain stated
Delilah noticed the sun was going down and it always becomes dangerous at dark.
"Do you and your friend wanna stay here tonight?" Delilah asked and Cain gave a confusing look in response.
"It gets dangerous at night and you two are good people, you brought my kids home so I wanna repay you, stay over let me fill your bellies and you guys can...portal back in the morning. how does that sound?" Delilah explained as Cains confused look turns to a smile. "Sure we will be glad to stay."
"I'm sure you got some amazing stories to tell about your travels." Delilah exclaimed smiling back .
" Ye, I do have a few stories to tell. But some of them might be a little dark for the kids." Cain explaind worried
" yeah, but the older ones should be ok with dark stories ." Delilah said assuming the older pups might handle the creepy stories well.
Cain and Delilah reach the entrance to the house ounce more, more pups were at the door now. thier brother with Black fur and purple spots wearing a spiked collar, another pup looked like thier sister with colorful spots and white fur with black surrunding her right eye were at the door.
" Doug these two gentlemen will be staying with us tonight." delilah says as the sun makes it's way down to let pale moonlight illuminate the city. " oh of course, it gets too dangerous at night." Doug added
Humphreys brow raised a bit "why is it dangerous at night?"
" PC Pearl has been reporting strange beings wondering around in white cloaks, but they always dissappear during the day.
"That's weird..we got stuff like that happening in Jasper too.only the wolves we have are disappearing one by one." said Humphrey getting a wierd feeling about the whole situation .
"well how about some dinner,I bet you two are starving?" Delilah questions as in the knick of time Cain and Humphreys stomachs start to growl filling the room in gurgles that all pups can hear.
"My lord when was the last time you two ate?" Delilah and Doug asked in unison.
" This morning." they both answer in unison.
In the kitchen*
"Dinner is ready!" A dalmatian with a cyan collar calls as family members sit at the table one by one. Dante,Davinci,DJ all members arrived to the table including Doug and Delilah with can and Humphrey sitting on the middle right side.
Humphrey smells the food served to them in big colorful bowls he samples the red pile of morsels in front of him his eyes grew wide digging into it. Cain grabbed a spork from his blue jeans and sampled it too and for a human he loved the taste of the dog food.
A few minutes into eating Delilah decided to make conversation. "So you two are adventurers?" Delilah asked getting the pups attention.
"That's correct we've wondered alot recently and its exciting." Humphrey said with a smile
" Do you might wanna tell some stories to the pups?" Delilah asks with a returning smile.
"We would love to, it might also encourage them to do a little themselves." Cain exclaimed
"We wanna do it after dinnner?" Humphrey asked looking at Cain then Delilah.
"That will be perfect." said delilah with a pleased look on her face.
twenty minutes later everyone finishes thier food and clean up then head to the living room.
" Why don't you tell us where you two are from?" Delilah asked politely
Cain and Humphrey took a seat on the couch with all pairs of eyes watching them. Humphrey cleared his throat getting ready to speak.
" I came from the western pack over in canada and Cain joined us around a few months after Kate got out of alpha school and his mom..."
Humphreys eyes tear up and he starts growling from the memory of Cains abandonment scaring the pups.
Delilah jumps in front of her pups ready to defend but he starts to cry the more he thought about it.Cain wrapped his arms around him letting him cry into his shoulder.
"I'm confused?" Delilah said relaxing a bit and the pups go from cowering to sitting back up. Cain looks Delilah in the face with teary green eyes.
"I was abandoned by my parents a long time ago, ever since then it's been me and Humphrey against the world." Cain finished letting a tear fall to the ground making Delilah speechless.
"I-Im so sorry It must have been hard to provide for your self at a young age." A tear falls from her cheek as the others whimper and whine behind delilah.
"it was, but the western pack took me in, Winston and Eve the pack leaders trained me to be part of the alpha bloodline. Now venturing farther down the road we became adventurers and we do jobs from the locals."
Delilah Yawns and goes to get Humphrey and Cain pillows and blankets for them to sleep with.
" Uh oh mom is getting a bit sleepy pups, come on time for bed." Doug said sending the pups to thier rooms. It's just now Cain and Humphrey as Delilah is still gathering pillows and blankets.
"thier a sweet family." Humphrey complimented as Cain turned to him
"Yeah, I agree.but something about this country feels off." Cain said
"I Agree, what did he mean by to dangerous to travel around at night? I wonder what's out there." Humphrey finished as Delilah walked into the living room with pillows on her back and blankets in her mouth. she passes one of each out to the boys and smiles.
"Good night boys sleep well." she said shutting all lights off except for the bathroom light which aka the backyard. were both out like lights within minutes they both snored with satisfaction.
2 hours later
Footsteps echo outside on the side walk, Humphrey awakens to the sound then jumps on Cain waking him.
"Cain,Cain wake up I think someone is outside!" Humphrey whispers loudly.Cain hops out of bed grabbing his gun and spirit sword.
He turns the sword on as a scream from a soul erupted activating the purple blade.Cain tries to open the door and is unsuccessful, he peaks out side by the couch where he was sleeping to see someone in a white hood, giving a wide grin smile with wide red eyes. Blood drained from the mouth.
" I know your hear!!" the figure said
Cain ran to the back door opened it and started jumping fences hoping one last fence he helped his blade ready to strike.
"Who are you!? what are you!?" Cain screamed
As the figure opens a black blade with a red outline.
"Your demise!"
