Caitlynn had found Gold's old cabin as for now they here hiding there. Gold plans were set into motion as Caitlynn still had some doubts. She sat by the window as Gold walked up to her. "What's on your mind, sweetheart?" He asked to her.
"Our daughter, Gold." Caitlynn replied to him. "I want her back." She looked up at him with tears in her eyes.
"We will get her back." He promised her.
"When?" Caitlynn looked him. "I just want to use magic to get her." She sighed heavily.
"Then they will know that we are here as well." Gold told her seriously.
"Yeah, I know." Caitlynn stood up. "It's just everything, your heart is weakening and I'm…" She trailed off, putting her hand on her stomach. "You know I don't trust them."
"I know." He looked at her, grabbing her hands. "But it's the best chance we have."
"How long? A week, 2 weeks." Caitlynn looked at him. "How do you know this plan will work? Look at your other plan."
"It's was your plan as well." Gold argued. "You thought about it first."
"Yeah, but I didn't think it would fail, then maybe we didn't do it and…" Caitlynn trailed off, sighing.
Gold looked at her. "Let's not think about the what if's, but let's think about now, here and what we will do next." Gold told her, seriously.
Caitlynn nodded to him. "Alright, if you know it's best."
"Sometimes, I do know what it's best." Gold smiled at her.
"Yeah." Caitlynn sighed. "Sometimes."
"Now, don't discourage it." Gold quipped.
Caitlynn smiled. "I know." Then she remembered something. "You remember my adopted father Jackson, right?"
"What about him?" Gold asked confused.
"He is coming to Storybrooke, mom didn't want to come yet. She couldn't leave her job." Caitlynn replied to him. "But he wouldn't put your plans in danger, right?"
"No, of course not." Gold replied to her.
"Great, he will be here tomorrow." Caitlynn told him happily. "Good thing I still have the scroll."
"Yes, good thing you still have it." Gold told her. "But don't let Ursula and Cruella know you still have it."
"I know." Caitlynn nodded to him.

Later that day, Gold and Caitlynn went into the cave under the library as then he got a text that Ursula and Cruella had the box. Then he used his magic to get the ashes un one pile. "Won't be long now, Maleficent, my dear. Your slumber is nearly over." He spoke to it.
"Why do we need her again?" Caitlynn asked to him.
"To shake things up." Gold replied to her.
Caitlynn looked confused. "What do you mean?"
"You parents." Gold replied to her.
"What about them?" She crossed with her arms.
Gold sighed. "They have a secret and it does have to do with her." He pointed at the ashes.
"What secret, Gold?" Caitlynn didn't like it at all. It was something she didn't know about her biological parents and the fact that Gold knows about it as well.
"They did something to her child." Gold replied to her.
"Maleficent has a child." Caitlynn looked in shock.
Just then, Gold disappeared from there with Caitlynn. They were back in the cabin as Gold looked at her. "Yes, she have a child."
"Huh, I have never thought that my parents would do something like that." Caitlynn comment as she sat down on a chair. "What I don't like is that you knew about this and never told me."
"It was never the time." Gold explained. "Beside, you was beginning to like them."
"You have a point, but tell me something like that next time, please?" Caitlynn looked at him, seriously. "Or is there something else you wanted to dicuse with me?"
"Maleficent's daughter is here in the land without magic." Gold replied to her.
"How do you know?" Caitlynn asked to him.
"I have been paranoid back in the day." Gold replied to her.
"Wouldn't surprise me." Caitlynn muttered.
"But I'm changed in that. I'm less paranoid now." Gold comment.
Caitlynn gave him a look. "That would be a day."
"Alright, I'm not." Gold told her.
"But you are not paranoid with me." She pointed it out.
"I have learned a few years back, that I could trust you with everything, sweetheart." Gold told her seriously. Then he walked towards her and sat down next to her in another chair. "Sometimes I do some stupid stuff, doesn't mean I don't love you."
Caitlynn looked at him. "I know, my love. I know you very well."
Gold smiled at her. "And I know you very well too, sweetheart." He looked at her, he saw that she was tired. "Why don't you take a nap?" He suggested.
Caitlynn yawned. "Yeah, you are right, my love. I do need a nap." She looked at him. "Will you sit beside me on bed as I fall asleep?"
"I will." He nodded to her.
Then they stood up and walked to the bed as they lied down, Caitlynn was fast asleep as Gold watched over her.

Later that day, Gold and Caitlynn were in the cave again, but now with Cruella and Ursula. They were looking at Mary Margaret and David, who were laying on the ground unconscious. "I trust they don't suspect my hand in all this." He told them.
"They had no reason to." Ursula looked at him.
"And Belle?" Gold asked to him. "Did she have any suspicions while you were in my shop?"
"She stole his shop, to be her own shop." Caitlynn added.
"You mean, did she ask about you?" Ursula raised an eyebrow.
"We didn't mean it like that." Caitlynn sighed as then she muttered to Gold. "I hate them already. Assuming that we were a trio or something, blargh."
"Of course not." Cruella looked at her.
Gold sighed as well, he was beginning to hate them as he changed the subject. "You know what you must do." He looked at Cruella as then he gave her a knife.

Much later that day, it was night/ early this morning. Cruella and Ursula had brought Maleficent back and given her different clothes, they were gone for the whole night as then they were now back as they walked into the cabin. "Well, where the hell have you been all night?" Gold asked to them, He was still up as Caitlynn was asleep. She needed her rest.
"Don't be nasty." Maleficent replied to him. "Regina came to find us. We had some catching up to do."
"Regina?" Gold asked, surprised. "What was she after?"
Ursula sighed. "She was sniffing around for information." She replied to him.
"I assume you didn't tell her I'm what you're hiding." Gold looked at them.
"Oh, we were careful, darling." Cruella comment. "She doesn't know a thing."
Maleficent chanced the subject. "Very interesting plan, bringing us all together."
"My plan's just beginning." Gold told them. "But Regina does present an intriguing possibility."
"Do you really think she'll help us?" She asked to him.
"Heartbreak turned her into a monster once." Gold replied to her. "And now her heart's been broken a new. She's lost another love and is in great pain."
"As you and I both know, pain always makes you stronger." Maleficent comment.
"Indeed it does." Gold agreed. "When war hits Storybrooke, everyone's gonna have to pick a side, including Regina."
"And what war is that?" She asked.
"Oh, the one we're about to start." Gold replied to them. "And tonight... We're gonna throw the first punch." Then he poked by the fireplace, to let the fire burn still.

Caitlynn woke up as she saw Maleficent standing there. "What are you doing here?"
She looked at her, really looked at her. "I wanted to get to know you."
"Why?" Caitlynn asked suspicions.
"Mothers under each other." Maleficent replied to her.
Caitlynn looked in shock. "Wha…?"
"That you are expecting a child, I mean." Maleficent looked at her.
"Yes, I am, but how do you know?" Caitlynn asked to her.
"The sparkle in your eyes, the glow of your skin." Maleficent replied to her. "Very tired, suddenly."
"Yeah." Caitlynn nodded to her. "are you a mother as well?"
She nodded to her. "Yes."
"She isn't here, with you?" Caitlynn asked. "Something about what my parents did."
"Yes, you are correct." She nodded to her.
Just then, Gold came into the room. "And what are you lovelies talking about?"
"About motherhood." Maleficent replied to him.
Gold looked at Caitlynn, wanting to confirm it as well. "Yes, we were talking about motherhood." She nodded to her as then she looked at him.
"Caitlynn needs her rest." Gold told to Maleficent, tensely.
"Of course." Maleficent nodded and walked out of the room.
Then Caitlynn looked at Gold. "What's going on?" She asked confused.
"Regina is on our side, I believe." Gold replied to her.
"What?! But she is one of them, its just strange." Caitlynn looked confused still.
"I know, that's why she has a task to complete to earn trust." Gold looked at her as he sat down next to her, by the bed.
"Yeah, I don't trust her and I never will. Not with my parents and my sister." Caitlynn told him.
"I understand your concerns, but its nothing you have to worry about yet. I have everything under control." Gold told her.
Caitlynn nodded. "I know." She told him. "But I'm not a poppet, so tell me when things do go wrong, my love."
"I will, sweetheart." Gold promised her.

Later that day, Caitlynn stood by the town line as she let her adopted father in. She throw the scroll over the town line and he opened it and saw her standing there. "Hello, dad." She told him.
He smiled at her. "Hello, Caitlynn." Then he stepped into the car and went over the town line. He looked at his daughter and said. "Your mother will be here in a few days as well."
"Okay, dad." Caitlynn nodded. "But don't let the others know you here in town just yet."
"I will and I look out for Aubrey." Jackson told her, seriously.
"Thanks." Caitlynn nodded to him.

Not much later, Gold found a way to get his dagger back and he succeeded. Then Maleficent leaded Regina into the cabin from Gold. "Gold's cabin? What are we doing here?" Regina asked confused.
"We needed someplace out of the way to hang our headdresses and hide our kidnapped puppets, and this little hovel became available to us." Maleficent replied to her.
"No." Regina comment. "Your dark magic... It's not a spell or an object. It's..."
"That's right, dearie. It's me." Gold came out from the darkness. "You didn't really think I'd stay banished for long, now, did you?"
"No. I didn't." Regina replied to him.
Just then Caitlynn came out of the darkness as well. "I'm here as well." She said as Regina looked in shock.
"I learned quite a bit about myself on my little journey outside Storybrooke." He glanced at Caitlynn. "You were right, Regina. Sometimes the teacher needs to learn from the student. And sometimes... You need to fall very far... To finally see the light."
"Well, then you've finally accepted the same truth I have." Regina sighed. "You can't get your happy ending without finding the author. I suppose that puts us on the same side. "
"I suppose it does." Gold told her as then Cruella and Ursula entered with Pinocchio and placed him on a chair. "And now, with the help of the real boy you've acquired, we can take our first steps."
Regina eyed at him. "What are you going to do?"
"Step aside, and I'll show you. Or have you gone soft?" Gold asked her.
"Never." Regina replied darkly.
Then Caitlynn muttered in his ear. "Don't hurt the child, remember. We are self-parents."
"I will not." Gold muttered back as then he looked at Pinocchio. "What a relief." Then he spoke out loud. "You see, we're not gonna ask young Pinocchio here to remember anything... Because he can't. No amount of torture will work on him. But it will succeed on the man he used to be." Gold turned Pinocchio into August, with the use of his dagger. "Welcome back, August. Now... Shall we begin?"
'First step is complete.' Caitlynn thought. 'Now the next step, getting Aubrey back.' She looked at August with a smirk, thinking what Gold could do to him, now that he's back as an adult.
