Hey all, thank you all for reviewing etc, I was asked if it was possible if I make the chapters longer, so I will try and focus on doing that, this may mean there's a longer wait between chapters as I can only really write in the evenings as I have two young children, so I apologize for the wait, just bear with me! I'll just carry on…
RENEMSEE'S POV
The tension still ran high in the air, even after the 3 horrible men had turned and walked away. Jacob was staring through the crowd for a long while, their retreating backs had long vanished, but still Jacob kept his eyes trained on the last place he saw them. Everyone stood around, not knowing quite what to do.
"Jacob?" Sam's voice was gentler now. My eyes lifted from the spot where Marcus had left and investigated Jacob's face. His teeth were gritted hard, causing the muscles in his mouth to clench and twitch in anger.
"What?" He all but snarled at Sam. The others behind us had all started to calm down a little and were beginning to mingle between themselves, all apart from Jacob, Sam, Jared and I.
"They've gone. Ness is safe. Let it go" Sam patted Jacob's arm trying to cool him off, but Jake shook his hand off harshly. Anger coursed through his body. I could literally see the fury rolling off him in waves.
"You think I'm ever going to let it go? After what they did to Edge's brother?" My mind zoomed back to earlier when Quil had to literally tear Paul aware from the situation. His face: The look he had in his eyes betrayed his bad boy demeanour if even only momentarily. Something had happened, I didn't know how long ago, or what had even happened, but I knew something had.
Turning my attention back to Jake, I lifted my hand and put it on his arm softly, so I didn't startle him.
"Jacob?" His entire body twisted quickly, his face only inches from me. Jacob's eyes burned with ferocity. They had a fire behind them I had never seen before. Our eyes connected and it felt as if the world stopped spinning for a moment. There was just me and Jacob. No one else around us mattered. They didn't even exist.
The hatred bleeding through Jake's eyes diminished and the shaking in his body subsided. He dropped his face forward so our eyes parted. Taking a deep breath, I lifted my hand to his face and cupped his cheek. His skin was soft under my palm, and warm.
"Are you alright?" Jacob asked me, his voice calmer now. It broke slightly with the amount emotion that was running through it. There were cracks in the wall he held up so tightly that I hadn't noticed before. Pain was seeping out of them, oozing all his secrets through them.
"I'm fine." I said honestly, shaking my head, a small smile broke across my lips. Even now when he was furious, he was worrying about me. There was a pattern forming here. "Warmer now than I was before. Maybe because of this new coat I've got." Jake's head lifted, his gaze meeting mine. There was amusement behind his eyes.
"Yeah it's pretty cosy huh?" Letting go of his face, I took fistfuls of the material in my hands and showed myself off, turning left and right whilst pouting.
"I mean, it's a little big. But it'll do for now." I winked at Jacob as I smiled. He shook his head slightly, before grunting a laugh.
"I think you look amazing in it. Leather suits you." I raised my eyebrows, the inuendo behind his words had a hot pulse surging downwards.
"Well, I think you'd prefer it if I was wearing leather…in a different way." The city lights hit Jacob's eyes in a different way, clearing displaying the arousal that was coursing through them. Grabbing my hips, Jacob pulled me into him, so our bodies crashed together. One of his hands lifted and tangled into the bottom of my hair.
"Don't do this here." Jacob growled into my skin as he brushed my jaw with the tip of his nose.
"Yes Boss?" I mumbled into the air above his ear. Jacob's head flew up, and his eyes focused on mine.
"How did you know to call me that?" There was amusement playing on his features still.
"It was just a hunch." I licked my bottom lip. Jacob nodded slowly, a grin on his lips.
"It sounds good coming from your mouth." Rolling my lip through my teeth, I smirked. His eyes snapped to them, watching intently as I played with my mouth, knowing it was driving him crazy. I knew exactly what I was doing to him.
"We'll have to put it to good use one day" Jacob nodded slowly, his eyes never leaving my mouth.
"You know we could go back to the hotel room, now right?" I teased him, knowing full well that wasn't going to happen. Pushing forward, I pressed my mouth against Jakes. His lips parted allowing me in, I sighed. His hard chest heaving up and down against me.
"Tempting." He spoke against my mouth, his hand pulling at the roots of my hair. "Especially with you in my jacket." I felt gratitude towards the leather jacket once more. It was really being a good luck charm. "But you still aren't 18." Giggling under my breath, I separated myself from his body.
"Well then…" I said, taking a step back and turning. "You'll just have to watch your precious jacket and I walk away." I shouted over my shoulder, realizing that Jacob would certainly watch me walk away as I went to find Hope, who was only stood 100 yards away. She was deep in conversation with Jared and I hated to interrupt them, but I needed her as a distraction right now.
JACOB'S POV
I watched closely as Ness strolled away from me, her hips swaying from side to side more than normal. I assumed that was for my benefit and I couldn't help but internally thank her. The view was outstanding.
"She's good for you, you know?" Sam stood next to me, also watching Ness walk away, but not in the same way that I was.
Looking over at him briefly, my gaze quickly turned back to Ness. I just couldn't tear my eyes away from her for too long. As soon as they weren't watching her, every part of my body just screamed to look at her again, to go and scoop her up, to kiss her…to do more to her.
"But am I good for her?" I questioned myself for the first time in a long time. Crossing my arms over my chest, I was shocked by how little material there was when my skin connected. It felt weird not having my jacket on, but I didn't care. Looking at my prize up and down, I really did appreciate her in my clothes.
It hung off her. The size was way too large for her little petite figure, but she still looked so good in it. She was breath-taking, claimed as mine, for the entire world to see. I just wasn't 100% sure how I was ever going to take the jacket back, or if I even wanted to anymore.
"You can protect her…and love her…" Sam added the last few words hesitantly. My face turned to his automatically. What had he just said? Surely I hadn't heard him right.
He raised an eyebrow at me, daring me to argue with him. "Jacob, you can try to hide it all you want." He carried on without so much as taking a breath. "But we both know the truth. You wouldn't have given your jacket to just anyone." Sam looked back towards Ness where she was laughing with Hope whilst rolling back her sleeves, so her hands weren't so restricted. "Would you have given the jacket to Flo or Kayla if they had been in that situation?"
My stomach twisted. Ew. Anger surged through me. The thought of even touching them now made me want to heave. The thought of touching anyone else had me gagging on the spot.
"Ok." Sam laughed at the expression on my face.
"What about Hope? If it had been Hope that Marcus had taken an interest in, would you have given her your jacket?" A frown formed on my face. I could see what Sam was getting at, but as much as I was trying, I couldn't convince myself he was wrong.
"One of the other guys would have." I shrugged trying to play off this uncomfortable situation.
"And they would have for Ness tonight. But you hardly gave them a chance." My body froze with realisation. He was right, I had been the first in line to step in. I knew what was happening I just wasn't ready to admit it. Not to myself and especially not to anyone else.
"Ness will never wear anyone else's jacket." My voice was as cold as ice as I glared at Sam. It sounded like a threat, and I spoke a little to loud, I wanted everyone to hear me. A few of the people near me looked up at me with shook in their eyes. But I paid them no attention.
Ness threw her head back and laughed at something Hope had said, as Hope grabbed her hand and laughed along with her. I watched as Ness's reddish hair waterfalled down her back, shimmering in the lights. Her jaw was moving from her laughter. God, how I ached to be the one to make her laugh like that.
"Well…there's no point me trying to make you admit something you aren't ready to talk about." Sam shrugged and walked away to where Ness was stood, joining in their conversation.
"Boss." Eagle came up to my left. I turned, tearing my eyes away from Ness to look at him. There concern written all over his features.
"Yes?" My voice oozed with confidence and command. I was back in control, and it was all because of her.
"Edge is in a pretty bad way." Shit. I had temporarily forgotten about him. Nodding my head, I strolled over to Ness. She looked up at me sweetly, a smile on her lips.
"Everything okay?" Pressing my face into her hair, I planted a kiss on the side of her head.
"All good. I just need to go and sort something. Don't got anywhere without Tech or Beamer okay? Stay with Hope." For once Ness was going to do as I asked, without question. There wasn't a glimmer of argument in her face. She nodded and didn't push for further details. Her eyes skimmed over my face. There was obvious worry on her features, but she knew I had to go.
"Be safe." She spoke warmly. A small frown line appeared between her eyebrows. My lips met it with a soft kiss, before I turned, threw Sam and look and he followed me. I was going to need him if Edge was in a state.
RENESMEE'S POV
I watched carefully as Jacob's back withdrew from me, closely followed by Sam, they weaved through the maze of people and then suddenly, they were gone.
"Ness?" Hope's voice brought me back to the group. More of the club had joined our circle. Flo was stood the other side of Hope, smiling at us as we talked. The more I got to know her, the more I liked her.
"Huh? Yes, sorry…" Hope smiled at me as she raised an eyebrow. I elbowed her playfully. "What were you saying?" I asked, trying to put Jacob to the back of my mind for a few minutes, if that was even possible at this stage.
"Tech was just saying there's a few bars down this road. Wanna go and get a drink?" I nodded my head without really acknowledging what she was saying. Hope took my hand and began to lead me through the crowds as she followed Jared.
People around us watched as we walked through, the crowd parted, like we were important. Behind me, Flo and Kayla and the rest of the gang had also followed us. We looked like a group of people that knew each other well. We were a force to be reckoned with. They all knew exactly where they were going though. They'd obviously been here more than once.
After only a few minutes of walking, we were marching through the thresh hold into a large club. The bouncer didn't bat an eyelid as we passed them, even though it was obvious me and Hope were underage.
I hadn't ever been in a club before and it was everything but also nothing like I had expected it to be.
The dance floor was smaller than I thought it would be, considering the amount of people on there, but then I guess the point of the club is for people to get closer and sweaty. There were multiple tables and boots around the edge of the dance floor and a couple of bars in the main room as well. The walls were covered head to toe with mirrors. The bright lights that danced in time with the music pulsed off the plastic. There must have been a hundred people in this one room. The majority of them drunk and dancing provocatively against one another.
We walked through a back hallway, into a large back room. The room walls were a deep red velvet wallpaper, all except one. The last one on the far wall was mirrored from top to bottom. It looked a lot more expensive than the other room. This was the room used for the more important members I assumed. How we were allowed to get in there, I wasn't sure. A private bar in the far-left corner of the room was covered in glasses of all shapes and sizes. There was certainly more here than we had at Tayo's.
A single bar man was behind the bar, stood waiting to serve us. A pole-dancing pole was right in the middle of the room, with a girl gliding around it, wearing only some shimmering nipple tassels, and a thong so small I wasn't even sure it was there. She didn't even seem to notice we had entered.
A few tables and some plush chairs were scattered about. Hope pulled me over to one of the tables on the right and we sat down. It was warm in the club, but I wasn't sure whether I was allowed to take the jacket off or not, so I decided it was best not too. The lights were off, but different coloured spotlights bounced around the room in time with the beat of the music.
Tech was stood over by the bar, shouting orders at the bar man who looked a little intimidated as more of the gang walked through the door. After finishing telling the barman what to do, Tech walked towards me and Hope and plonked down next to us, the other side of Hope. He leant back and draped an arm around her shoulders.
I raised an eyebrow and smiled. Hope blushed but didn't push the arm off. The music pounded around the room, and as everyone got here, the amount of voices was overbearing.
"Jared?" I broke through his and Hope's conversation and giggling. His eyes caught mine and he smiled. "Do you think I can take the jacket off? I'm boiling." I asked, a pleading in my voice. It was extremely hot in the room.
"Yeah." Jared guffawed. "But don't leave this room without it." He told me before turning his attention back to Hope. I sat like a weird third wheel for a few minutes as I watched the others before me.
Flo and Kayla chucked some shots of something clear down their throats before they started to prowl around the boys, knowing exactly what they were here to do. It didn't take long for one of the younger boys to wrap his arm around Kayla and stick his tongue down her throat.
The barman came over to our table and placed down a bottle of champagne and some cocktails of various colours. He passed Jared a large-ish glass of a brown liquid and walked away with a nod.
"What is all this?" Hope looked at all the drinks in front of us. There must have been about 8 cocktails and a bottle of fizzy. How the hell did he think we were going to get through all that and still be standing. Hope and I had both been drunk before. But it was off old vodka we had found in her grandad's liquor cabernet, not fancy alcohol.
"I didn't know what you guys liked to drink, so I ordered a selection." My eyes bulged as they skimmed the drink. Leaning forward, I picked out the dusty pink cocktail and took a tentative sip through the straw. It was delicious, grapefruit flavoured, with a slight fizz to it.
"Wow. That's actually really good." I took another mouthful, as Hope leant forward and picked herself a drink. She went for a bright blue one. Mmmm, she hummed in appreciation. "Didn't all this cost you a bomb?" My mind wondered to money. "I have some cash…" I began but Jared laughed through my words.
"Ness, don't worry…" He laughed again. "I know the owner." There was a knowing smile on his face. Confusion swept through me. Why was it, with all of these boys, that they all talked in riddles? "How did you two meet then?" Jared asked us both as a couple of the other guys brought chairs over and joined us.
…
After a couple of hours, I had had far to much to drink, and had pushed off more layers of clothing so I was sat in a black crop top with long sleeves and ripped, mom jeans and a black belt holding them up. Hope had done the same and compared to what the bitches and the girl twirling around on the pool were wearing, we were quite covered up.
"So that's when Ness pushed this jerk in the pool." There was a collective chuckle from the group of people we were sat with as Hope told the stories from our childhood. "And as he came back up for air, she said 'Next time you talk to my friend that way, I'll make you swallow your own cum not just pool water.'" The group erupted into cheers and whistles.
"I really hadn't expected there to be so much fire in you Ness. You keep it well hidden." A blush grazed my cheeks, I wasn't used to this much attention in a group of people.
"I stand up for my friends." I defended myself before talking a long slug of my third cocktail.
Another round of shots was passed about, and we all clinked glasses before throwing the hot liquor down our throats. I screwed my face up as I swallowed. The drink tasted vile and made me want to gag, but I swallowed back the retching.
My head had begun to feel fuzzy and there was a warmth inside me. The beat of the music was still pacing through us, but no one really took notice as we all sat talking and drinking, laughing harder than I had done in an exceedingly long time.
Then the music changed. Me and Hope looked at each other suddenly and screamed. Master by Ameliah Jayne had started to flood the room from the speakers. Springing up from our seats, we ran towards the middle of the room and pulled each other in so we could twirl and sway our hips together.
Hope pulled my bum into her crotch and I threw a hand up into her hair as I grinded with her. The low sensual beat of the song washed through me as we bent down and pulled back up, very aware everyone was watching us but not caring either way.
Halfway through the song, everyone came to join us, dancing and swaying in time with the music. Soon the song finished, and we all laughed.
Hope kissed me on the lips, and I chuckled.
"You shouldn't be doing that…" I slurred at her. The drink had really gone to my head, and I was a little more drunk than I had wanted to be, but I didn't care, I was having fun.
"Why you worried Boss Man will see you?" We both cackled as River by Bishop Briggs came on and we began to dance up against each other again, only slowly this time so we could carry on talking.
"Actually…he won't" I said as I strolled over to the table, where Tech had already sat back down, and grabbed another shot, my back to the door as I turned to face Hope, holding my glass of liquid high in the air. "He's not here right, now is he? And you know what?" Hope's face was filled with glee as everyone watched me before their eyes diverted to the door behind me. Their laughs growing even louder as I kept talking. Unfortunately for me, I hadn't realised everyone staring at the door, and so I kept talking. "Mr Bad Boy Boss Man doesn't scare me in the slightest." Tipping my head back, the burning liquid slid down my throat, but with each shot it was getting easier to ignore the heat.
"I think you should be." A low rumble from behind me said. I jumped a little before I spun around, catching my feet and nearly staggering to the ground. Jacob's arms wound around me to hold me up, and I saw Sam, Edge and Ace all entered the room behind him. But Jacob's eyes didn't leave mine. "You've been drinking." He said, his voice even, not accusing nor angry.
"Yep. You shouldn't have left me for soooooo long." My voice was wavering and giving me away. A small smile played on his lips. Taking the glass from my grasp, Jake set it down, before taking his jacket from Jared who was holding it out.
"It's time to go to bed." Jacob said, pulling the jacket around me.
"No." I protested, taking a step back, not a highly successful one as Jacob was having to keep me upright, but I tried anyway. "I want to dance with Hope. She goes home soon." I gave Jacob my best puppy dog eyes, his eyes bounced between mine as he weighed up his options.
Defeated he sighed, throwing the jacket back to Tech who caught it with a smug smile on his lips.
"Fine. But no more alcohol." Jacob let me go, so I ran back into Hope's waiting arms. Hope poked her tongue out at Jacob in obvious delight to have won this battle and we began to dance again. The lights still bounced around us, as we stood and moved in time to the beat. Nearly every member of the gang was up and dancing now.
I twisted to see Jake, he was watching me, but speaking to Doc. And that was when my plan occurred to me. I could tease him right now and it would make him furious, but would be so worth it.
"Dance with Jared." I shouted over the music to Hope, who happily spun away from me into the waiting arms of Tech.
My eyes locked with Jacobs, as I sauntered over to him. I swayed my hips as much as I could and prayed to God that I looked as sexy as I felt and not stupid. He raised an eyebrow at me and titled his head to the left slightly. As I got to their table, I bent over and licked my lips. There was spilt drink on the table, but I ignored it. I had to act confidently and sexy if my plan was ever going to work.
"Everything okay Boss?" My voice purred in a lower tone than normal. Sam's eyebrows raised in humour as he turned his face to look at Jake. Jacob's eyes never left mine as he watched me with amusement and curiosity.
"Everything is fine Renesmee." He replied to me, in the same low tone. Pushing forward, he leant across the table, so our faces were only inches apart. Again, if felt as if there was only me and him in the room, but I needed to keep my mind focused if my plan was going to work.
"You don't seem to be having much fun, sat here…" I let my voice trail of. Letting Jacob make his own assumptions.
"I am having plenty of fun, thank you. The view is exquisite." A small smirk crossed his lips.
"Hope is a beautiful dancer. You are right."
"Hope is a very good dancer. But I'm not interested in watching her at all."
I took a deep breath.
"Well Kayla is giving a lovely show. We both know how much she wants you." Jacob's face crumpled with disgust for a second. A part deep inside of me, purred with delight. He really wasn't attracted to her in any which way anymore.
"I wasn't watching Kayla either." He growled, a little angrily now.
"Hmmm…" I hummed. "Well, could you have been…"
"You Renesmee. I was watching you. And you damn well know that." Jacob's voice came out snappy. He was playing right into my trap and he didn't even know it.
"Oh, thank you Boss. That means a lot." Jacob shook his head, but a grin appeared on his lips. "I'd really like it if you would come and dance with me." I spoke again in the low sexual voice I had just discovered. I threw a quick glance over Jacob's shoulders and clocked Sam watching us. He winked at me, a genuine smile on his face.
"I don't dance." Jacob replied, as he leant back into his seat and folded his arms over his chest tightly. That was exactly what I was hoping he'd say.
"Oh, this is awkward." Jacob frowned at me, and I smiled, biting my bottom lip. "I wasn't asking you…" I shrugged my shoulders. "I was talking to Doc." I pushed a hand-out to Sam and grabbed his wrist, pulling him up out of his seat. "Would you like to dance Sam" Sam laughed at me, before taking my hand in his properly and began to walk me to the dance floor, leaving Jacob behind us, his mouth open slightly in shock.
"Clever." Sam said into my ear as he wrapped his arms around my waist but keeping them north of my butt, like the gentleman he was.
"What was?" I feigned innocence. Sam looked at me, shaking his head as we moved in time with each other.
"Making him jealous." I giggled and began to dance harder. I hoped it was going to work, it needed to.
Okay guys, I've made this chapter longer like you asked. Hope it is up to scratch. I will put a link to Ameliah Jayne's song Master underneath. PLEASE give her a listen, her music is amazing!
