Vincent's P.O.V: The sound of waves lapping at the beach and few rocks that jutted out into the water is what brought Vincent back into consciousness he remembered the duel with Snotlout and showing proof of the divine to the people of Berk but he couldn't for the life of him remember where he had sent himself too. At first he thought he was back in skyrim but it was much too warm and the ocean didn't sound angry enough. Vincent slowly opened his eyes and found himself looking into the eye's of a Dragon but not just any dragon this was someone Vincent was sure he had seen for the last time"Voraug? How are you here? I thought you passed when…" Vincents voice was coarse and rough almost breaking at the thought of his last night in Skyrim, Voraug tilted his head "Tell me fiend what is troubling you, it has been 30 years since their passing, half a lifetime surely their deaths do not weigh on you?" Voraug spoke softly for a dragon as he helped Vincent to his feet "Even though I only knew you for a few weeks, you always did have a keen sense for troubled minds Voraug, so I won't lie… I think about them often, what happened down there… it was my fault if I'd just used my power I could've kept both Irene and Aramnur alive" by the time Vincent choked out his last sentence he could feel tears begin to build in his eye's the dragon looked at Vincent confused, Voraug grew up on stories of the brutality of the man before him but now he looked like a tired old man who wasn't worth the trouble." i will not begin to assume to understand what happened to you in the past 30 years, but Vincent it wasn't your fault and we both know that dwelling on the past for too long isn't good nor are what ifs, it will lead you down a path I cannot afford you to go down, I sought you out because ,... Well I found remnants of the empire that killed your family and took your kingdom, and I felt his presence return the hour grows dark, the board is set, the pieces are moving" As Voraug spoke Vincent realised the dragon was right he had spent 30 years dwelling on the past it was time to move on, but at that last part Vincents mind began to race what was the legion doing here. "Take me to them" Vincent's voice was full of rage and anger enough to make Voraug an ancient dragon begin to shutter, Vincent climbed into the saddle and with a mighty beat of his wings Voraug took off into the early morning sky.

Fjalar's P.O.V: Fjalar woke up to the same thing he did every day the sound of the bazaar and clanking of steel both from the forge and fighting pit, he stretched out his body which was still sore from his and Katla's training session a few days ago"Guess I should feed toothless and myself"he mumbled to himself his body and mind still tired, he opened the front door to go looking for toothless but instead was greeted by Katla rushing in and stammering on about some Black dragon heading straight for Helgafjall and fast"Hey take a deep breath Katla slow down, tell me what's happening" Fjalar did his best to try and calm his girlfriend down" The Guards on watch blew the horn and I looked to the sky, I saw on the horizon a dragon black as night flying straight this way it should be here soon" as Katla finished her sentence still catching her breath from sprinting back home from the harbor an ear piercing roar shook the town and its people to the core, dark heavy clouds filled the sky and it began to rain, the guards on the walls aimed their bolas to the sky but couldn't see anything, seconds passed into minutes and still the town stood still believing the skrill problem had been dealt with when Katla managed to befriend it. Another roar that shook the heavens and earth itself seemed to erupt from every corner of the town just before a massive black dragon easily twice the size of toothless landed in the town square with an old man on his back.

Vincent's P.O.V: "Well Voraug is that the island you were telling me about, the one settled by the Romans as they are called in these parts?" Vincent asked the dragon who had found him on that small island in the middle of nowhere"Yes fiend that is the island, how should we approach?" Vincent was quiet for a seconds before filling Voraug in on his plan"We land in the town square and hope we can use fear to our advantage to get us a quick audience with whoever leads them, so we can get a better understanding of who they are and if they are remnants of the legion. It has been hundreds of thousands of years since then so I'd be surprised but stranger things have happened." Voraug nodded slightly in agreement not to keen to put them both in danger but trusting Vincent nonetheless. After about 4 minutes Vincent conjured up heavy storm clouds to aid in their landing after a few minutes of waiting, the pair landed with a loud thump amidst towns people who were terrified and many more who were in awe, the guards came rushing in weapons drawn and at the ready" Who are you and why have you come" one of the guards spat at Vincent. Vincent slowly turned his head"You there boy, take me to your leaders, it is very likely I will have dealings with them"When Vincent spoke the rain stopped but the sky stayed dark the air became stagnant and cold. The guards sat in silence a moment,...one stepped forward"My name is Ivor I lead a small group of the guards if you hand over your weapons and ensure your Dragon won't harm anyone I'll take you to the Elders" Ivor spoke calmly even when facing an unknown enemy"You have courage or you are a fool to speak so calmly in the face of death"Vincent's voice began to take on a strange undertone making the air feel hot and electric"I have seen it many times and he has yet to take me, when my time comes I will be ready"Ivor's words cut deep Vincent remembered his father saying something similar"You have earned my respect you answer honestly and without fear, so I will do as you ask"Vincent bowed his head in respect and dismounted Voraug leaving his Sword on the saddle and following close behind Ivor.

Fjalar's P.O.V: Fjalar couldn't believe what he was seeing another dragon rider from an unknown land yet he couldn't help but feel a sinister and malevolent aura radiating off of them" Come on Katla let's go see what it's all about"Fjalar was already out the door and jogging down to the great hall by the time he finished his sentence, it took him a couple minutes to get there due to the large amount of people surrounding the Dragon and the entrance to the great hall. By the time Fjalar and Katla got through the dense crowd and too the doors they could hear faint talking but neither of them recognised the voice, they barely made anything out but they knew it wasn't a happy conversation. Fjalar opened the doors just ever so slightly so he could slip in by the time Katla noticed it was too late she cursed to herself and prayed he'd be quiet. "My dragon told me of this place once AGAIN I am not a Roman Spy!" The stranger raised his voice and Fjalar could feel his hatred in how he spat out his words it was clear that this strange dragon rider did not wish to have dealings with the Romans"If you must know why I am here then let me tell you a story in confidence it just us three so I do not mind, but please keep all questions till the end and do not think that I am lying to you for shits and giggles" Vincent spoke plainly realising these people might not be who he thought or who Voraug thought, the energy in the room took much a calmer yet more solemn note"Please go on stranger"The elder on the left spoke"I need you understand one thing first, humanity is far older than you think our story goes back hundreds of thousands of years if not more. Now the story I'm going to tell you is one you may have heard but this is the true story of The Fiend… of me and my life" the Elders looked on intrigued unsure if the man spoke true but would let him continue nonetheless" I was born from a dying mother my kingdom and people torn to shreds burnt to ash, I was found and raised my mercenaries in a time of constant war my adoptive father passed by the time I was 10 that is where I made my deal with death at the end and the beginning,... For many years I would follow his orders and do his bidding but as time went on Deaths son's went to war and soon after chaos fell and only war stood, Death offered me Chaos' throne and in exchange my freedom, I took his offer and fought with War for three thousand years until finally I locked him away beneath Vesalon my home." As the stranger spoke Fjalar could feel his emotions he knew the man wasn't lying and that shook him to his core, he needed to know more about this man who claimed to be a god, he quietly ducked out and grabbed Katla's hand promising to fill her in once they were somewhere safe.

Vincent's P.O.V: This damned meeting is not going as planned at all but what plan ever first contact, I really didn't want to tell them all that but hell I'm sure they can handle it or choose not to believe it. As Vincent finished telling the Elders his story they sat there in silence for a moment before looking at one another and nodding"Vincent you have spoken true, we have lived our lives amongst thieves and falsified peoples we know a lie when hear one, so long as you keep your identity hidden your temper and your dragons temper under control you may stay here for as long as you like, There is a boy from the Isle of Berk find him either at the forge or in his house on the hill over looking town he came to us some time ago with a dragon he will show you where you can stay and keep your Dragon." They bowed their heads low in respect and Vincent followed suit before quickly leaving the town hall to find Voraug surrounded by curious on lookers"They welcome us with open arms so long as we follow the rules and don't lose our temper"Vincent spoke loudly in fluent dragonese to Voraug"So they are not at all related to the people who killed your family and took your land?" "That would be right, in fact they have been dealt an injustice by the Romans as well, they were slaves who fought for entertainment" The spoke back and forth and townspeople grew uneasy backing away slowly" My apologies for disrupting your day my name is Vincent I came here because I thought it to be a Roman outpost alas I was mistaken and have apologized dearly to your leaders and now to you the fine people of Helgafjall easily the nicest island in the archipelago"Vincent spoke loudly

and yet it brought a sense of calm to the people and those who did harbor ill will towards him no longer did instead they say him for what he was a tired old man with a pet dragon. Vincent looked at Voraug who understood and took off to find a place in the forrest to settle in for the rest of the day. Vincent began to roam around the streets following the sound of steel and iron being hammered on he came to a blacksmith shop being run by a middle aged man who had definitely seen better years"Excuse me I'm looking for the boy who works here the Elders told me he would show me and my dragon where to stay while we are in town, if you could point me in his direction I'd be real grateful to you" Vincent asked in a polite manner that surprised himself"You're that new feller aren't ya the one who came in on that big ass dragon,... He lives up there a ways just follow this road till the end and take a left its the last house on the hill if he ain't there check the fighting pits"The blacksmith spoke quickly eager to return to his work"Thank you"Vincent placed a small gold coin on the counter and slid it over to him and walked away down the street.

Fjalar's P.O.V: "Im telling you Katla he said it himself he's the champion of death the god of chaos, the fiend" Fjalar was freaking out he knew he had heard the man right and he knew he wasn't lying"Babe you gotta calm down I'm sure he just told that story to the elders to try and freak them out do you really think some old guy is this legendary warrior who can't be stopped? That's ridiculous" just as Katla finished her sentence a loud knock on the door startled them both, Fjalar got up and walked to the door and when he opened it he just stood there mouth agape"Um sorry I'm looking for the blacksmith's apprentice the Elders said he could show me and my dragon where to stay for now, my names Vincent" Vincent stuck out his hand for Fjalar to shake. Fjalar blinked a few times before shaking his hand"Sorry I wasn't expecting any visitors my name is Fjalar and sure I can show you around."
