Even though the discussion about her father's disappearance was never brought up again in her household, Gina was keeping her distance away from the other kids on the playground . She swang in the swing seats. Gina was alone for most of the time, until she saw somebody walking up to her. The person who was walking up to her turned out to be Jake. As he walked, he got up close to her,
"Gina, what are you doing?", he asked looking confused.
Gina then looked at him and gave a half wave. Secretly she was happy.
"Oh hey Jake.", she said, as she watched him also get onto the empty seat of one of the swings that was right next to Gina.
Jake didn't swing. He kind of let his legs dangle from the seat.
"What's wrong?",asked Jake.
"Nothing.",responded Gina.
"Gina, you don't look so good tell me what's wrong." ,said Jake.
Gina looked at Jake. Now was the test, if she could be honest, she could tell Jake how she was feeling and thinking.
"Fine I'll tell you. She said.
She knew. there is no way to make Jake stop asking
"Okay I'm listening.",said Jake watching as Gina then begins to sigh heavily
"Something bad happened that's why...", said Gina
"What is it?",asked Jake.
"My father disappeared and I'm not sure if he is coming back.",said Gina.
