Ugh! I know I haven't updated any diamond daughter things in a while but it has been a while since inspiration. Plus high school sucks. I am figuring it out though. just write at 2 in the morning... who needs sleep, AmIright?

Anyways I want to let you all know that you're awesome and I love you guys and to wash your hands the proper way for twenty seconds. Seriously I was positive. A relative was positive. It's not fun. (Neither is distance learning but hey homeschooling prepares you for that!)

So without further ado the piece you've all been waiting on!

Steven demanded she let him in sometime around noon but she was so busy with reports she originally played it off until the boy shouted something that made her feel sick and her head spin.

"BLUE DIAMOND TOOK MY DAD!"

Mia blinked and moved her bubble of screens aside and grabbed Steven by the shoulders. She knew he wouldn't lie, she could see it in his diamond shaped irises... Diamond shaped? Mia shook it off as her own reflection and nodded. "Then what are we standing around for? Get the gems. We'll rescue your father together." There was a hint of a smile as Steven hugged her tightly around the barrel and thanked her for the huge favor she was doing him. Mia shrugged it off, too touchy feely.

Steven did return with the gems, aside from the defective Peridot, who had joined their ranks, now that was an interesting meeting, and a defective, formerly cracked Lapis Lazuli, who tried to steal all the oceans if Mia recalled correctly. So they all loaded into her ship, the helm specifically where Mia and Yellow pearl and taken the time to carefully arrange seating of comfortability of the gems.

Of course the crystal gems were cold to her as she was to them but she didn't bother with them as she locked her arm in for the first time and wound up for a punch, Yellow locking the coordinates into the navigation system while Pearl sat back and watched crossley. With a nod from her servant, Mia sent her arm forwards full force and the arm ship rocketed off into the cosmos so quickly that she and Steven lost their balance.

Mia held a hand in front of her mouth as any food she consumed came rocketing up into her mouth. Mia grimaced and swallowed. Yellow tapped on her shoulder as they got closer and Mia nodded in understanding, excusing herself from the group.

"Where's Mia going?" Steven asked as she left through a doorway ten times her size.

"My Diamond," Yellow corrected. "Is going to be our safest ticket in. Just play along and you'll be fine."

Garnet growled lowly and folded her arms, fists folding tightly into balls. Pearl huffed and glared at the other gem of similar cut, while Amethyst, still green and unaffected, like Steven, to the war, frowned only at being bossed around by this other gem who she was not familiar with.

Mia returned, her steps rocking the ground as she towered above, her skin tone smoothed out with lemon colored body paint and hair hidden within the tall peaks of a helmet, frame bulked up by a heavy and beautifully simple designed armor. She shuddered and sat in her throne. This wasn't something she was used to wear and she had become out shape in her months of reprieve.

"Mia? What's going on? Are you alright? How is this going to help rescue my dad?" Steven asked, placing a worried hand on the toe of her large boot.

Mia forced herself to smile and gave a brief nod. "Steven I'm fine. You'll detach from my ship as members of Blue's court. I've been researching and you all will be familiar and yet new enough that she shouldn't recognize you. You'll sneak into the zoo and get Greg. I'm still trying to figure out how we're going to get you all out but for now... if anything I can executively order you all freed and removed. I'll handle keeping Blue distracted."

Perhaps it was the conviction in which she stated it or the fact that she was holding back tears but the crystal gems looked upon her sternly before nodding and following Yellow towards the ship bay. Steven lingered before running off to join the others, leaving Mia alone to her thoughts.

When left alone in the quiet Mia took out a gem communicator and a few hard drives, each getting consecutively plugged in, in turn. "Dear Lars. I am going to leave you everything financially I have, I want you to start that bakery you talked about," she unplugged that hard drive and moved to the next continuing fresh. "Dear Sour Cream, I am leaving you my musical instruments as well as my music. I want you to know that... you're my best friend. And I lo-like you a lot. You're like a brother," she covered, glad the paint hid her skin deep. "To my brothers. I leave you everything else I haven't allotted. I love you guys. Don't mourn me if I die. If I so much as feel anymore crying over me I'm gonna come back to life and kick some ass, aight?" Mia ended her will and set the hard drives aside.

They were finally here.

Pink Diamond's human zoo.

Now Blue diamond wasn't here at the moment but scanners indicated that she was on her way back. Mia would never allow her friends to be compromised by one of her own. "This is it. There's no going back once I see her again, Pearl." Mia trembled as she stared at the zoo that could have ended up her home had Rose Quartz not spared earth from Pink Diamond.

"Are you sure about this? You don't have to do this Mia." Yellow pearl said, resting her small hands upon Mia's boot while the teenager stared out the window with her arm resting on the cool glass her forehead against her arm. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"No, I must do this," Mia said firmly, standing at her full height and moving towards the door. "I must fulfill my duty and speak to her."

Blue diamond was in Pink diamond's throne room within the zoo. It was tall with panoramic windows showcasing the vast abyss of stars that they conquered, sheer pink lacy curtains obscuring portions from their full view. Pillars and stages of pink stained metal and granite were strewn throughout the edges and a heap of pillows were piled in the middle of the room, some large some small. In the center of this pinacol knelt Blue diamond mourning the loss of her fellow diamond but also asking the departed one if she knew what on home-world was wrong with Yellow lately.

Mia took a deep breath as she stood in the doorway, there was Blue Diamond, in all her melancholy glory. Mia cleared her throat and stepped into the room, her ankle faltering partially in a step but she took it in stride, even as those cold cyan eyes began tracking her every movements. Mia picked up some of the trinkets and set them down after brief observation. "This has to stop now Blue." The tremble was unable to remain hidden despite Mia trying her best to keep a level voice and head.

Blue pivoted and looked at her with an intense stare, her eyes however invisible underneath her cloak. Mia shuddered, something noticed, and stared back at Blue who said. "Why can't you just let me grieve...?" Mia frowned and stepped further into the room, still not holding a steady gaze with Blue diamond, praying that she wouldn't notice her unnecessary movements.

"Because!" Mia said, her voice cracking. She swallowed and ice tingled along her spine, Blue diamond knew.

Blue diamond removed her hood and rose, slowly making her way to the teenager and in a blind panic Mia did the only thing she knew how to do under such pressure. She snapped towards Yellow and gestured towards her neck, the lithe servant understanding and roping in Blue pearl as a little ditty emitted from their vocals, something Mia had been dabbling with for a while now.

"Why? Would you want to be here?"

Blue knit her brows in confusion and watched Mia go on. "What do you ever see here?" Blue diamond narrowed her eyes and frowned, not because of grief but because of 'Yellow Diamond's' actions, they were abnormal and her voice was cracking, there were cold beads of perspiration upon her brow and with them they took the painted colors.

"If only we'd been there we could have stopped the coup." Blue joined in the song and followed Mia around the room in attempts of gaining a clearer look at her face.

"Just tell me all your feelings, Blue." Mia sang loudly, hitting notes higher than Yellow had ever gone in her lifetime. Mia was in a blind panic and was moving to open the door for Greg and Steven who had been sneaking around the room while she sang and kept Blue diamond busy. Blue diamond knew, Mia just knew that she knew she was a fraud and she would be shattered.

Grabbing Blue diamond's hands Mia waltzed her away from the door and dipped her away from Greg and Steven. "Why don't you admit we destroyed her? She only wanted us to be there for. You know there's nothing you can do so let's just get over her, Blue."

Blue diamond cringed and stepped back only for Mia to pull her in and then spin her out trying to keep her gaze distracted from the humans heading towards the door. "We all have a use she just wanted to know what she was for. You were the ones who steered her wrong. You can't say this is right! You won't say it's wrong! Just get over her, you need to move on, just get over her, Blue!"

Blue stepped free and glared at Mia with the rebuttal. "Oh, why must you say the things that you do? Don't you feel regret? How can you ask me to forget her? Oh? I see in your eyes you feel nothing for her at all!"

Mia in turn glared back, but always kept herself between the door and Blue diamond, she needed the quick escape. "I know you know what you lack! Start looking forward! I can never look back!" She swallowed and went to run her fingers through her hair but instead catching upon the helmet. "I never knew her, true, but what's the use in your grieving?"

"Who are you, really?" Blue asked and stepped closer.

"What are these true feelings...?" They both chorused before Mia stepped against the wall and shuddered. She was trapped. Out of the corner of her eye she spied Greg and Steven running out the open door with Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire and Amethyst gesturing for them to hurry. Mia gave a firm nod and stole away from Blue for the time being.

"Yellow, you've changed. You're not you. Who are you?" Blue diamond demanded, snatching Mia's wrist and pulling her back into the room.

"I-" Mia began but the fear must have shown in her eyes and her pulse beat madly within her wrists because Blue diamond only held her tighter.

"Who are you?" Blue diamond repeated and Mia felt her heart leap from her chest. She couldn't say, with the look Yellow was giving her and the aching from around her gem was contradictory to what her head was saying, 'don't get caught, don't get caught, don't get caught.'

Mia struggled away from Blue diamond but she was no match for the purebred. A sickening snap resonated throughout the zoo followed by a scream of agony. Everyone froze and glanced around and it was only because of this that Steven and Greg were caught by the sight of Holly blue agate but thanks to the Famethyst who dog piled her and Pearl's sassy words the agate lost her tongue.

Mia howled in pain and held the wrist Blue diamond had freed close to her gem, having fallen to her knees and wept in pain. Blue diamond watched horrified, this was most certainly not Yellow diamond, no matter what her aura or gem told her. "What?" Blue gasped, holding her own offending hand in shock towards her gem, curious and mortified by what happened.

Yellow dove to Mia's side and placed a hand upon her knee, she didn't want Blue diamond to be suspicious but at the moment she truly only cared about the diamond she had raised since birth. Mia nodded, whispering that she was fine, and stood to meet Blue diamond, a few feet shorter. "I will answer your questions. What: is that you just broke my wrist. Why: is I'm half human. Who?" Mia chuckled at that one and smirked even though her arm was aching. "I'm Mia Diane Yellow diamond and I am the heiress to my mother's throne, I am the conqueror of homeworld, I am the very body of our empire, I am a human and Diamond. And Blue diamond I can either be your greatest ally or worse enemy."

Blue diamond stared at her with a look of utter confusion before doing something that had not been heard from her in years since Pink diamond's shattering; She laughed."Oh, what wonderful court jester has taught you such a joke? Surely your a topaz or quartz. Oh, the very idea of a gem and human geode! It's simply hilarious."

Mia frowned and glanced at her Pearl who stared back in just as much confusion and horror.

This would be a very interesting explanation for the diamond child and she vowed to do it. Even if that meant playing a part to which she wasn't suited. She vowed that she'd get back to earth but as of now Mia would remain the gem who made Blue diamond laugh.

I understand that this is long overdue and I hope it was well worth the wait, this was a fun chapter to try and write.

So yeah, let me know what you think and I will try to keep things updated.
