Last time on A Victory Harem: Valtry joined the ranks of the top 4 in the semi-finals. And Shu told the story of Misui as Valtry and Wakiya are set to duke it out in the first battle of the semis.
Rantaro was sleeping in his bed. As a giant snot bubble was being created the door slammed open.
"Gah! I'm up! I'm up!" Rantaro cried as he jumped up before looking at his door before seeing a dirty blond-haired man looking at him.
"Oh hey pops," Rantaro said, yawning as his father chuckled. "Hey, son… how'd ya sleep." He asked as Rantaro turned to look at him.
"Fine Fine. how about you?" Rantaro asked as his father sighed. "Great son…" He said trailing off as Rantaro looked at him.
"What's up?" Rantaro asked as his father smiled weakly. "Your mother's pissed at me." He said laughing as Rantaro looked surprised.
"Why? What did ya do?" Rantaro asked as his father acted mock hurt. "What makes you assume I did anything?!" Rantaro's father said as Rantaro deadpanned.
"Why would mom be mad at you over nothin'? She isn't like that." Rantaro said as his father laughed lowly.
"Yep. I wanted to take her to the nearest amusement park… but the job called and I have to go…" He said as Rantaro let out an "Oh."
He then pulled out two tickets from his pocket before handing them to Honcho.
"Here, take a friend if you want… or maybe that girl you were telling me about." Rantaro's father said with a laugh as Rantaro blushed.
"Dad!" Rantaro cried as his father laughed loudly while clutching his stomach.
"I'm jus' messin' with ya son!" He bellowed as he walked out of the room.
Rantaro sighed before looking at the ticket given to him. "Guess it couldn't hurt to ask her.
Aoi Residence
"Valtry!" Chiharu called as Valtry slid down the stairs in her pajamas. "Yeah, mom?!" Valtry said landing as her mother glared down at her before pointing to the mountain of dirty dishes that had been left.
Valtry looked up at her mother who crossed her arms. "I thought I told you to do those dishes last night!" Chiharu said as Valtry rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly.
"Well Mom, ya see I was practicing my new launch and well I guess I lost track of time," Valtry said as her mother sighed.
"I understand you love blading but you can't blow off your chores for it." Chiharu said motherly as Valtry looked down and muttered an "I'm sorry." Chiharu ruffled her daughter's uncombed hair and pushed back her bangs to kiss the top of her forehead.
"It's okay sweetie. Just brush your teeth, wash your face, and start them. I'll make breakfast and we can't eat without dishes right?" Chiharu joked as her daughter beamed before rushing upstairs once more.
1 hour later
After what felt like forever(actually 10 mins) Valtry had finished the dishes and eaten.
A ring came from the door as Toko jumped up. "I'll answer it!' he called as he raced for the door. "Hey, it's Honcho!" He cried as Valtry perked up.
She raced for the door as Toko opened it and Rantaro was at the door.
Valtry ran up to him and smiled as he smiled back before fist-bumping her and Toko. He then noticed Valtry's mother and sister walk in and he waved.
Chiharu then called him. "Rantaro, correct? Come on in!" She said as Rantaro smiled. "Sure!" he cried before walking in.
Rantaro was a little paranoid as he played games with Toko, the last time he had gotten a message from Chiharu it wasn't exactly a good one. They had only been playing for only about 10 minutes before Valtry raced into the room like a bullet train still clad in her PJs.
She jumped over the couch and put her hands on her cheeks as she looked at the two boys. "Whatcha doing?" She asked as Toko turned white but before he could give any warning Honcho spoke up.
"Oh, we're just playing Sky Fighter 3! Never thought he'd have this, to be honest." Rantaro said laughing as Valtry smiled sweetly before turning to her sweating brother. "So Toko… your game?" She asked as he began sinking into the couch slowly.
Rantaro looked confused as he turned to Toko. "Wait… did you take your sister's game?" he asked as Toko slumped even further before shooting up. "She's stingy! She never lets me play her games!" He pouted as Valtry jumped up as well.
"That's not true! You just take and never ask me to play them!" She said back as Rantaro smiled at them thinking about his own little brother.
"Hey, Honcho… sorry if this sounds rude but why did you come?" Valtry asked, tilting her head cutely as Rantaro jumped up blushing. "Well, I uh well you see uh… Tickets!" he cried as she showed the two tickets in front of him as Valtry gazed at the tickets to…
"TinyWRLD!? I hear that place is amazing!" Valtry gushed as her eyes turned to sparkles. But soon the gears in her head started to fully turn as she realized. "Wait.. are you asking me to go with you?" Valtry said hopefully as Rantaro nodded, not trusting his words at the moment. "Yaay!" Valtry said before running up the stairs.
Rantaro was kind of still as Toko unpaused and went back to the game. Beating Rantaro as he seemingly was trapped in voided space.
With Valtry
Valtry burst into her mother's room who jumped up as she was doing Nika's hair into her pigtails and Valtry before beaming at her mother. "Hey, mom! Honcho and me want to head to TinyWRLD amusement park can I? Valtry said with puppy dog eyes. Chiharu smiled.

"... ok," Chiharu says blankly as Valtry jumps up with a cry of happiness before rushing for her room. Before she could reach though mama mode turned back on in Chiharu as she called after her eldest daughter. "I figured that you'd be leaving the house at some point so I already have clothes on your bed! Your warmer and vest are in the wash as well." Chiharu said as Valtry's hand peeked through the door and gave a thumbs up.
A while later
Rantaro and Toko had finally started playing the game and the score was 5-3.(3 coming from Toko when Honcho went half-unconscious) but right as Honcho laid another combo that resulted in his win Valtry walked down.
Both boys turned to see Valtry seemingly had forgone her spiky ponytail in favor of her more normal hairstyle that fell around her face while the back went down to her high back. It seemed longer than the last time her hair was in that style but that was only natural.
Her style of clothing was new though. She wore a blue shirt that had a white butterfly over it. She was wearing navy blue jeans and above it, a black belt similar to the one's professional bladers wore was draped at the lower end of her shirt. She was wearing black and blue sneakers as she smiled.
"Ready to go?" She asked excitedly as Rantaro nodded. "Uhh yeah!" He said getting up as Toko fumed at what was pretty much a 6-0 stomp.
Rantaro and Valtry left as they walked towards the park. "It's pretty crazy how much I hang out with you guys… hey we should have a club sleepover!" Valtry said as Rantaro turned to her. "How? My folks wouldn't be that cool with that many people sleeping over." Rantaro said as Valtry seemed in thought.
"Maybe… we could use the school." She mused as Honcho looked shocked but didn't question it. They spoke a while longer before reaching the park.
They hit as many rides as they could before Rantaro thought of an interesting idea. "Hey, Valtry! He called to the girl who had just finished munching on a bacon-fried oreo and the crumbs littered around her mouth as she turned towards him.
"Let's have a competition!" Rantaro declared as Valtry's eyes gained a competitive gleam as she wiped her mouth. "Ok! Let's go! What's the competition!" Valtry said as Rantaro smirked. "First to 3! Whoever hits the point first gets a prize from the loser!" He said as Valtry smirked. "Alright let's go! I got this!" She called as Rantaro scanned around before seeing a Whack a Mole game. "Let's start there!" He said as Valtry saw what he was looking at and nodded.
The duo raced over to the game and sat at the two stations and smirked at each other and prepared to go ham.
Game… Start!
Valtry and Rantaro started slamming into the moles as soon as they popped up.
Valtry smashed wildly having fun and completely forgetting there was a competition and was missing most of her hits as she kept hitting the holes instead of the moles.
Rantaro meanwhile was playing for keeps and hit almost everyone that he could, barely missing and getting consistent points on the board. He turned to Valtry and blushed as he saw how happy she looked playing… causing him to mess up and take about 5 seconds before realizing that he was gonna lose.
'Crap! Can't get distracted!" Rantaro cried as he started slamming with reckless abandon similar to Valtry, completely oblivious to the difference in their points.
The round ended with Rantaro winning by a score of 34-12.
"Aww, man!" Valtry whined pouting as she looked at the score that Rantaro was shocked to see.
"How in the world did I win?!" He cried expecting Valtry to at least make it seem close. While he was looking in shock Valtry scanned before seeing a game she liked. "Hey let's go for that one!" She cried as Rantaro turned to see that she was pointing at one of those throw a ball at some bottles games.
He deadpanned and was gonna tell her that the game was rigged but she darted off before he could say anything but when he chased after her he saw she wasn't going for the rigged game but the one alongside the booth. Rantaro didn't even begin to question Valtry's powerful hawk eyes and just ran to see the game was another hammer based game but this game revolved around the idea of hitting the middle to try and make the power meter hit the top. The game sounds easy but this was an electronic version that had the 1000 point option in the middle.
Valtry smirked as she looked at Rantaro before slamming her fist into her palm. "Bet I'm stronger!" She said confidently as Rantaro smirked back in turn. "Oh yeah?! Let's test that shall we!" He said with just as much confidence.
Valtry and Rantaro stepped up to their respective places and Valtry went first and slammed into it with all the strength she had. She smashed it so hard in fact it hit the top to start with. "Yeah! Who's the champion!" She yelled as she didn't notice the bar skyrocketing down and shot past the 1000 zone and dropped to a measly 100.
Valtry turned and her jaw dropped at her low score. "How!? I hit the top!" She cried as Rantaro smirked. "My turn," he said before lifting his hammer high. Then he slammed it into the center and watched as the bar shot up and hit the top before going down.

Rantaro smirked as he brought out his fan that he seemingly pulled from nowhere and laughed haughtily. "That's how it's done!" He cried as he fanned himself. "Woah! How'da do that?" Valtry said in awe.
"Simple! As I said with great style and flair comes great responsibility! It's a mind game!" Rantaro said as Valtry tilted her head given that he never explained how he did it.
Rantaro was at the apex of confidence. He was 2-0 and ready to take this match and get the prize. While those bozos Ken and Daigo would probably throw the match to get her the prize, Rantaro knew what to truly do. As he realized before, Valtry respected a blader, not the blader's strength. (A/N Finally fixing that typo from like chapter 2 or 3 I meant Strength not straight back there haha) so Rantaro knew that to truly impress Valtry he had to show that he could take her on and give her a challenge.
Valtry pouted once more before settling on their 3 round and Rantaro's victory round.
Rantaro looked shaken and stunned as he saw Valtry's next pick. It was a ring toss… but the ring toss was a unicorn horn. Valtry grabbed her rings and prepared to fire at will before she turned to see Rantaro shaking. "What's up Honcho?" she asked as Rantaro gulped before turning. "Uhh, nothin!" He said. 'Can't let her beat me over some fear! You got this Rantaro! Remember you're the head honcho!" He said before shooting up. "Alright let's go!" He called as He grabbed his rings.
To say Valtry won dominantly would be an understatement. She managed to land 9/12 rings and Rantaro… landed zero.
He seemed frustrated but perked up upon realizing he could pick something non-unicorn related. He then noticed an Air Hockey table. "Alright let's do that one!" Rantaro said smiling as Valtry's eyes lit up. "I love Air Hockey!" She cried as Rantaro sweatdropped realizing his hope of a W wasn't gonna come too easy. Well, no matter what he played since he was a kid it be effortless.
The match started as Valtry slammed the puck at Rantaro's goal and he smirked before deflecting it and sending it into a zig-zag pattern
Rantaro waited 2 seconds before slamming into the puck and it shot directly at Valtry's goal. "Gah!" She called as it sailed right into her goal giving Rantaro 1 point.
Valtry 0-1 Rantaro
"Yessir! That's how it's done!" Rantaro cried as Valtry plucked the puck out of her side and placed it back and tapped her foot waiting. "Hey wanna gloat more or we gonna keep going?" Valtry said impatiently as Rantaro gasped. "Oops sorry!" He cried before getting back into position.
Valtry once again slammed her puck but this time is hit the side and looked to go into Rantaro's goal but he saw it coming and slammed it back and it zigzagged a bit too fast and went out of Rantaro's reach as he tried to hit it and had to stretch too far and Valtry heard opportunity knocking at her door and slammed the puck past Rantaro and into his goal.
"Crap!" He cried as Valtry looked at him smugly. "Who's the master now?" She taunted playfully as Rantaro grumbled.

Rantaro put the puck down before slamming it at Valtry who blocked and the puck once again started to zigzag and Valtry smirked before slamming the puck at Rantaro who blocked it and went to strike it but missed. "Crap!" he cried before rushing his hand backwards into the puck and sent it right into his own goal…
Valtry burst with laughter as Rantaro's face turned red before he held it down. "Two points to you.." he said as Valtry looked confused with tears poking her eyes. "What do you mean "two points"?" She questioned as Rantaro looked up. "When someone knocks the puck into their own goal I always had a rule that the other player got two points. Probably not official but it makes it more fun!" Rantaro said as Valtry nodded

The game continued with Valtry scoring her 4th and 5th point and Rantaro got 3 more points as Valtry gained one then Rantaro gained 2.

"Alright! Last point! Let's finish this!" Valtry cried as Rantaro Smirked. "I got this!" He said back as Valtry placed down the puck and slammed it at Rantaro and blocked as it zigzagged and he slammed it back and it hit the wall and Rantaro sent it back and Valtry blocked once more and aimed for a shot straight for the goal.
Rantaro blocked once more albeit slower not expecting Valtry to hit it straight for the goal. "Wow that's a shock!" he said as he couldn't hit it back himself due to the rushed way he had to send it back so it slowly got towards Valtry and she slammed it at Rantaro who blocked but Valtry smirked at it ricocheted just the way she wanted and it Rantaro sent it into a wall and Valtry slammed it back and it zigzagged perfectly as Rantaro gasped. "Crap!" he cried before trying to hit the puck but pressed it against the wall and it bounced between the mallet and right into his own goal.

"Soooo… my win?" Valtry said as Rantaro hung his head

The two walked around looking for a new game… well Valtry was… Rantaro was having a staring contest with the ground. 'Crap! Now it's 2-2. She might reverse sweep me at this rate…" Rantaro thought for a moment before the perfect idea hit him. Not only that but the tool for his perfect idea was right where he needed it.
"Hey, Valtry!" Rantaro said as Valtry turned. "Yeah Honcho?" She asked as he pointed to a… "bey stadium?!" Valtry cried as her eyes sparkled before she turned to Rantaro. "Honcho… you don't mean…" she said slightly hopefully as Rantaro smirked with a wild gleam in his eye. "Yeah, I do!" He said, pulling Ragnarok out of his pocket. "Let's battle!" Rantaro said as Valtry smirked before pulling her launcher of her belt and Valkyrie out of a small compartment on the belt. "Let's go!" she cried as the two set up.
"3!" The two called as they steadied their launchers
"2!" They said once more as the got into position
"1!" they got ready to launch
"Let it… Rip!" they said launching as Ragnarok and Valkyrie flew out of the gate with flawless launches.
Ragnarok took the center as Valkyrie raced up the slope and dived back down but Rantaro smirked. When he launched Ragnarok he launched at an angle that made Ragnarok land on its revolve driver's edge and it was slightly spinning in the middle.
Valkyrie slammed into Ragnarok and spun off the bey as Valtry gasped. "What the what? How?!" she cried as Valkyrie kept slamming into Ragnarok and sure enough it started to lose spin.
"No Valkyrie! Keep pushing!" Valtry cried as her bey continued to slow before spinning to a halt.
Rantaro once again brought out his fan. "Haha yes! That's the taste of the head Honcho!" Rantaro said cockily as Valtry picked up her bey. "You won't get so lucky next round!" She called as Rantaro smirked.
Round 1: Spin Finish: Ragnarok
Score: Victory Valkyrie 0-1 Rising Ragnarok
Valtry and Rantaro got in launching position once more.
"3!" Valtry clutched her launcher as she tried to think of a strategy
"2!" Rantaro smirked knowing this was in the bag with his new Edge Launch
"1!" 'Now or never' they both thought
"Let it... Rip!" The two called as their beys rushed out and this time, only Ragnarok had a stable launch. Valtry had tilted too far and Valkyrie was going scrape nation and rushed directly at Ragnarok.
What looked like a botched launch turned into Valtry's favor as it collided with Ragnarok and knocked the bey off it's Edge Launch and Rantaro gasped. "No way!" He cried as Valkyrie hit a wall and straightened itself before rushing at Ragnarok. "Yeah! Let's go!" Valtry called as Valkyrie slammed into Ragnarok… and was knocked away as the bey had been in an erratic spin and while Ragnarok slammed into a wall Valkyrie went flying out of the stadium.
"Aww, man!" Valtry cried as she picked up her bey once more and Rantaro looked at his bey. 'Man… she messed up the launch but nearly took Ragnarok out… better smarten up unless I wanna lose.' he thought as Valtry placed Valkyrie on the launcher again.
Round 2: Over Finish for Ragnarok

"3!" 'match point! Let's bring it home!' Rantaro thought
"2!" 'Gotta bring this back… I believe in you Valkyrie.' Valtry thought
"1!" Let's do this!' they thought
"Let it… Rip!" They both cried as their beys flew out. Both once again with great launches as Ragnarok went for the middle with Edge Launch as Valkyrie… was rushing along the edge of the stadium!
"No way!" Rantaro cried. She was actually going to the Flash Launch! Valkyrie rushed around before shooting at Ragnarok. 'That might end me!' Rantaro panicked as Valkyrie smashed into Ragnarok and sent it into a wall once more taking out a good chunk of its spin.
"Yeah! That's the spirit! Now rush it!" Valtry cried as Valkyrie rode the slope of the stadium and rushed down and smashed into Ragnarok once more and sent it clear into the air.
BURST
Valkyrie burst Ragnarok as Rantaro's bey's pieces landed around his feet. "Ah…" Rantaro said in horror as Valtry jumped up and down. "Yeah Buddy! That's what I'm talking about!" Valtry said happily as she picked up Valkyrie.

Score: Victory Valkyrie 2-2 Rising Ragnarok
Rantaro looked down before smiling with his eyes closed. 'Can't believe it... you've made it so far… I'm proud… maybe that's why I love you. You always move forward and never give up…. You aren't just someone to admire. You're someone to look up to.' Rantaro thought as he put Ragnarok together. 'But… that also means…' he thought, clutching Ragnarok looking determined. 'That you're someone to surpass! I am a blader after all!' he thought as he prepared to launch.

"1!"
"Let it… Rip!" The two beys flew out once again as Ragnarok took on the center as Valkyrie rushed to the top before rushing back down. "Go! Valkyrie!" Valtry said as her bey slammed into Ragnarok but this time didn't slide off. "Huh?" Valtry asked, shocked as she turned to Rantaro. "Hold your ground Ragnarok!" Rantaro said as his aura flared.
Ragnarok's avatar came out in a swirl of fire and stood tall. "Now! Ragnarok Zone!" Rantaro said as the bey span in place as it shook off Valkyrie's attacks. "No way!" Valkyrie cried as her attacks were having no effect. Eventually, Valkyrie was sent to the edge and smashing into a wall. "Oh no!" Honcho cried having seen this before as Valkyrie landed on the red strip and began to spin wildly.
Valtry's own aura flared as Valkyrie's avatar came out standing tall on its horse. "Now to finish this!" Valtry cried as her bey rushed at Ragnarok.
"This is nothin'!" Rantaro cried as the bey rushed at his own. "Stop the attack Ragnarok!" he cried as the Bey got closer. "Now hit it! Rush Crusher!" Valtry cried as Valkyrie slammed into Ragnarok.
Valkyrie's sword clashed against Ragnarok's fire shield but sure enough Valkyrie's sword slashed through and made contact with Ragnarok's stomach.
BURST
Ragnarok burst as Valkyrie ran through it.
"Oh, man!" Rantaro said as he picked up his beys pieces. 'You truly are something else…" he thought.
Round 4; Burst Finish for Valkyrie
Score: Victory Valkyrie 4-2 Rising Ragnarok
Valtry jumped up and down before rushing to Rantaro. "Thanks, Honcho!" she cheered as Rantaro jumped slightly. "For what? I haven't gotten your prize yet!" He cried as Valtry shook her head. "You helped me learn my Rush Crusher! This is exactly what I needed!" Valtry beamed as Rantaro smiled back. "Well, the day's gettin' late. Let's get your prize and head out." Rantaro said as Valtry nodded. He ended up getting her a giant stuffed bear and was almost mad he lost due to a cool action figure he saw… but Valtry's giant smile made it better. Still bought that figure though.
Valtry and Rantaro walked back to her house where Valtry turned and waved as Rantaro waved back. As he walked home he couldn't help but think that he needed to improve his blading skills… and fast
I hope you all enjoyed this. Back at it again and sorry for any reviews that come out before this chapter drops as obv since this is being written and stored on Sept 30th I won't be able to answer them here. Does anybody remember when these were 1k words and not 4k? I do! But I do see these are pretty unpopular and as much as I'm sure someone enjoys these this will be the last one for now. I only wanted to give Rantaro one true date chapter real quick. While I did tease some Sleepover filler that might come later on down the line after the story's done. Well, see y'all later!
