Chapter XI

The Stacked Den- Day. Deadshot was sitting at the bar, drinking a mug of beer.

Deadshot: Hey Abra Kadabra, can you give me a refill?

Abra Kadabra: You look like you've had enough beer for now Floyd.

Deadshot: Please, I have one leg. What am I supposed to drink?

Abra Kadabra sighs and refills his mug.

TV Announcer: We interrupt the match between the Gotham Monarchs and Boston Red Sox to bring breaking news.

The TV cuts to a news studio.

Newsreader: President Amanda Waller had classified information regarding her leaked on Tweeter. This appears to be the start of a career-destroying scandal, and the former warden of Belle Reve Penitentiary turned POTUS has denied any foreign wrongdoing.

The TV cuts to Amanda Waller making a statement at the White House.

Amanda Waller: This country does not believe in cyber terrorists. This is clearly the work of a former colleague.

The TV cuts back to the studio.

Newsreader: What a dumb bitch, the president is. (A crew member's hand appears on the screen, giving the reader a piece of paper) And I've just been fired.

The TV cuts back to the baseball game. Deadshot raises his refilled mug.

Deadshot: Goodbye queen of cunts.

He drinks from it. Then he hears the sounds of jets landing outside.

Deadshot: Oh fuck. Hey Abra, get me my guns.

Abra Kadabra: Here.

He summons two pistols and a sniper rifle from behind the countertop.

Deadshot: Thanks.

He puts on his prosthetic leg and goes outside. There he sees Ravager, Artemis, Sportsmaster, Red Hood and King Shark.

Deadshot: Rose? King Shark? Sportsmaster? Artemis? And...Some weirdo with a motorcycle helmet?

Red Hood takes his helmet off.

Deadshot: Jason Todd? My god, you've grown.

Red Hood: (Noticing the prosthetic leg) And you've lost yourself. I'd say around a quarter.

Deadshot: Judging by the jets, I was expecting Russians.

Ravager: Not the government?

Deadshot: And the government. Why are you all here?

Ravager: We need a place to hide until Waller's impeachment.

Deadshot: You've come to the right man. There is a motel outside the city where I've hidden from the Police on multiple occasions.

Red Hood: We'll take it (Winks slyly at Ravager)

Ravager: What's the wink implying?

Red Hood: You'll find out later.

Ravager: I suggest you hide with us. Those troops could be interrogating anybody close to me and you're one of them.

Deadshot: I'd say no but...

Floyd knocks on his prosthetic leg.

Deadshot: ...A wanted man's gotta stay low.

Later that evening:

A truck pulls up outside the motel on the outskirts of the city. Sportsmaster gets out of the drivers seat, and Artemis hops out of the passengers' seat. He opens the back and Ravager, Red Hood, King Shark and Deadshot disembark.

Deadshot: We're here.

Artemis: Right, let's get to the sleeping arrangements.

Red Hood: Dibs on Rose.

Ravager: I think I'll sleep with Artemis.

Artemis: Sorry, but father's called me.

Sportsmaster: Yeah. Sorry Floyd, you're getting the shark.

King Shark: Hey Floyd! It'll be like old times. You and I, working together again.

Deadshot: Just because we were both part of Task Force X, that doesn't mean we're all buddy-buddy. Remember, I'll blow your brains out if you try to eat my good leg.

King Shark: I wasn't thinking it, but now that you mention it.

He opens his mouth and moves towards Deadshot's leg; he pulls out a gun and aims it at King Shark.

Deadshot: First warning.

King Shark: Only joking.

Deadshot puts his weapon away. Sportsmaster yawns.

Sportsmaster: Well, look at the time. It's getting late and I'm pooped. Goodnight.

He walks into Room 2. Artemis follows.

Red Hood: Come on Rose. Let's go.

Ravager follows him into Room 3. He closes the door.

An Hour Later:

Red Hood is asleep, but Ravager is sitting at the window, looking outside into the night. Red Hood wakes up and looks over at her.

Red Hood: Do you sleep?

Ravager: I can't.

Red Hood gets out of the bed, still in his clothes, and walks over to Ravager.

Ravager: I assume you wanted to share a room with me because you wanted things to get kinky?

Red Hood: I just wanted to thank you for saving me from that life.

Ravager: The male hormone kind?

Red Hood: You got me.

Ravager: So, I'm assuming this whole wanting to thank me thing is a whole lot of bullshit?

Red Hood: Why?

Ravager: Because you're trying to seduce me.

Red Hood: Can't help it. It's been really crazy the last couples of days or even weeks.

Ravager: My father taught me to resist seduction.

Red Hood: Escaping the president, killing commies; it's been fun with you.

Ravager: Sure, but it won't lead to sex.

Red Hood: That's fine. I don't have protection anyway. (Changes the topic) Come to bed. I thought you preferred to be up early to avoid them.

Ravager: I'll stay up and watch out for troops or hunters, or my brother.

Red Hood: Okay. But don't blame me if I wake you up and you're all cranky.

Ravager: I rarely sleep. My father also taught me to remain vigilant at all times.

Red Hood: Even mercenaries and vigilantes need their beauty sleep.

Ravager: How about you go to sleep before I make you?

Red Hood returns to his bed and goes back to sleep. Ravager sighs and continues keeping watch.

Three Hours Later:

Ravager is starting to have trouble staying awake. She looks at the clock on the wall; it read 1:30am. Suddenly, she sees the bushes rustling on the other side of the road.

Ravager: Could just be a fox.

She stands up, gets her katanas, looks at the still-sleeping Red Hood, and steps outside their room. She walks across the road to the bushes, but finds nothing.

Ravager: Must've scared it off.

Voice: Hello, Ravager.

Ravager turns around, and sees a familiar boy standing under a flickering streetlight.

Ravager: Joseph.

Jericho: Or do you still prefer Rose?

Ravager: Joseph, I don't want to hurt you.

Jericho: I want to hurt you, actually, kill you. An enemy of Waller is an enemy of mine.

Ravager: I know you're a bit fucked up in the head right now, but I can help you.

Red Hood: But it's going to be even more fucked unless you leave.

Red Hood points a loaded gun at Jericho's head.

Ravager: Stay out of this Jason. This is a family matter.

Red Hood lowers the gun and backs away.

Jericho: Family? You think we're family?

Ravager: Joseph, try to remember. You're my brother.

She raises her katanas defensively.

Jericho: You're my enemy.

He brandishes his katana and lunges at his sister. Ravager deflects the strike and jumps back. Jericho lunges again, and Ravager jumps over him. He turns around and begins slashing wildly at her. Ravager quickly deflected every strike, until he knocks a katana out of her left hand. It lands on the road. Ravager turns her attention back to Jericho, who strikes more violently and it is taking all of Ravager's remaining strength to defend herself.

Jericho: Come on! Fight you coward!

Jericho continues striking Ravager, and Ravager, having gotten no sleep, becomes slower. Jericho grins and knocks the other katana out of her right hand, completely disarming her. He kicks her over, and she lands on the road.

Jericho: Time to sleep.

Ravager: Later. Right now, (She looks behind him and notices Red Hood pulling a taser out of his pocket) it's your bedtime.

Red Hood electrocutes Jericho. After a few short bursts of electricity, Jericho drops his katana and falls to the ground, unconscious.

Red Hood: Shocker, I know.

Ravager: I'm sorry Joseph.

Ravager gets back up and collects her katanas, sheathing them. She and Red Hood tie Jericho up, and drag him into their room.

Room 3: Later. Red Hood and Ravager place Jericho on the sofa. Red Hood takes his helmet and boots off, lies down on the bed and goes back to sleep.

Red Hood: Room for one more.

Ravager: Alright.

She takes her boots off, props her katanas beside the bed and lies down. Ravager then quickly moved to the other bed to avoid awkwardness. Red Hood then gets off his bed and lies next to her.

Red Hood: Sure are a lot of stars out tonight.

Ravager: The sky gets clearer further away from the city.

Red Hood: Sounds pretty.

Ravager: You know just because we got into a fight with my brother doesn't mean the testosterone will make me wanna have sex with you.

Red Hood: Have you thought about having kids?

Ravager: They'd just get in the way. And I've looked after enough kids for one lifetime.

Red Hood: Right, intriguing.

Red Hood then took off his coat and stood up.

Red Hood: I'm going to have a shower.

Ravager: Not alone you're not.

Red Hood: Uh...The shower's too small for you. Specifically for two people.

Ravager: I've been in tighter spaces.

Red Hood: But this is a motel shower, not a hotel shower.

Ravager: Don't make me reconsider our alliance.

Red Hood sighs.

Red Hood: You can come.

Ravager then starts to take off her clothes. Red Hood continues to take his clothes off. And then they enter the shower.

Ravager: Jason, can you pass the soap?

Red Hood: Be careful not to drop it.

She rolls her eye, and takes the soap. She begins scrubbing her body.

Ravager: Feels like forever since my last shower.

Red Hood: Mmm hmm.

She suddenly stops scrubbing herself.

Ravager: Jason, are you poking me?

Red Hood: Well we're in a tight space and you're naked and...well, is it wrong that I...

He looks down.

Red Hood: …couldn't help it?

Ravager: Guess you couldn't. Do you consent for what happens next?

Red Hood: I consent.

Ravager then starts kissing Red Hood on the lips. Red Hood returns the kiss, but then stops.

Red Hood: I think we should take this to bed.

He shuts off the water, they get out and resume their make out session. They exit the bathroom and re-enter their room. Red Hood falls backwards onto his bed, pulling Ravager on top of him, not breaking the kiss. She flips him over, Red Hood on top. He buries his face into her bare chest, tending to her breasts. Ravager began to moan blissfully, until he stops.

Red Hood: Your father would kill you for this.

Ravager: He doesn't need to know.

Red Hood grins and kisses her again, before moving his lower half forwards. Ravager gasps as he enters her. He kisses her again as he begins to move. Ravager freezes.

Ravager: Jason, stop.

Red Hood: What's wrong?

Ravager: You have protection?

Red Hood: Let's see, uh (Opens the top drawer in the bedside table and rummages through), nope, no protection.

Ravager: It's fine. We should keep the noise down though.

He grins and proceeds to thrust again, trying to be quiet. He then moves faster, and Ravager holds him tightly as he does so. After 15 Minutes, Red Hood lets out a deep moan (Forgetting about being quiet) and releases inside her, Ravager gasping in relief as they close their eyes and come together. Once they open their eyes, Red Hood shifts and pulls out, pulling the covers over them and lying next to her.

Next door:

Sportsmaster was reading a book on his bed while Artemis was sleeping in the other bed.

Sportsmaster: I knew they'd get it on.

Artemis: I swore I heard some moaning, what was going on?

Sportsmaster: Isn't it obvious? Rose and Jason got down to some serious business.

Two hours later:

Red Hood and Ravager were sleeping peacefully (Her head on his chest) when the door opened.

King Shark: Alright! Rise and Shine, you two-

He pauses when he notices Ravager and Red Hood in the same bed, and their scattered clothes. Ravager stirs.

Ravager: Don't interrupt us please. This is the first time in forever we can actually relax.

King Shark begins to close the door, when he stops.

King Shark: Who is that?

He points to the couch, where Jericho was lying, still bound and unconscious.

Ravager: My brother. He attacked me last night.

King Shark: Waller's gonna know something's not right.

Red Hood: Then we better get going. After 10 more minutes.

He and Ravager go back to sleep. King Shark closes the door.

The White House- Later.

Amanda Waller is talking to Colonel Flag over the phone.

Amanda Waller: Colonel, have you assembled all the guards?

Rick Flag: They're ready, but most of them aren't too keen on being called in-

Amanda Waller: Thank you Colonel, that'll be all. (She presses another button on the phone) Jericho, have you taken care of Ravager? Jericho? Jericho, pick up! (She presses the button again) Colonel, there's a problem.

Rick Flag: What's new?

Amanda Waller: I've lost contact with Jericho.

Rick Flag: Ravager has something to do with it.

Amanda Waller: You can succeed where Jericho failed, and that is eliminating those traitors!

Rick Flag: No need to shout, Ma'am. I won't fail you.

Amanda Waller: Good.

She hangs up. She turns the chair towards the window, stands up and walks towards it, looking out.
