Chapter 11

Authors note: I'm sorry for the long delay to the end of the story. Some personal issues happened and I couldn't focus on the story. I finally got the motivation back to finish the story. I hope you guys like the ending. Thank you and I'm sorry again for the delay.

Celine grabbed her saber from her hip as she charged through the door. Before she ignited it Rey shouted, "Wait!" Rey walked to the center of her room with one hand out. Ben followed Celine in. Ben was thankful that he finally saw Rey again. Finn was standing a little behind and to the right of Rey.

"Wait for what?" Celine asked aggressively.

"We need to talk," Rey replied.

"Talk about what, Rey?" Celine said still slightly annoyed. Ben knew what she was going to talk to Celine about. It was what he had told Rey about Celine not being evil and that she may be able to be turned to the light.

"The Dark, the Light, and the past," Rey said. Celine looked very confused. She grabbed a chair and sat down. Then they all grabbed chairs and sat down. Rey, Finn, and Ben were surprised that Celine was willing to listen.

"Okay Rey. I don't know what you're trying to do, but I will listen," Celine said.

"The Dark is not what it seems to be, Celine. The Dark gives you a false sense of power and belonging. The Dark uses you to get what it wants, but gives you the impression that you are more than a body. I know you had a really rough childhood and seek a belonging. The Dark is not the belonging you seek," Rey explained.

"What are you trying to say, Rey?" Celine said.

"We want you to come to the Light. Come with us. We can give you a belonging. Give you a family that cares and understands you," Rey told Celine trying to show her that she cared.

"The Light is no belonging that I want," Celine said as she stood and drew her sabe again and ignited it. She force pushed Rey out of her chair. Finn yelled, "No!" and drew his blaster, but Celine force froze him and threw him across the room. Rey got back up and drew her saber as well. Ben did not know what to do. He feared that if he joined in he would be fighting both Rey and Celine. So he decided to wait. Celine and Rey charged each other. They struck their sabers and started a violent volley of strikes and blocks. Celine only had one blade of her saber ignited. Rey locked sabers with Celine, but Celine wrenched Rey's grip on her saber up and kicked her in the chest and pushed her back. Then Celine jumped up and forward swinging her saber down, but a different saber blocked hers from striking Rey down. Celine was confused as she looked up and saw it was Ben. Ben pushed up his saber which threw her saber up above her head and he forced pushed Celine back. Celine regained her footing and looked at Ben with pure rage. She charged at Ben, but Ben was ready for her attack. He caught her saber and twisted it out of her grip. Her saber went flying across the room. Then Ben grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up, choking her. She was trying to break Ben's grip, but she was failing. Rey had just started to get up when she saw what Ben was doing.

"Ben! Don't!" Rey shouted. Ben realized what he was doing and dropped her. Celine was on the ground breathing heavily with a rasp and holding her throat.

"Celine please. Don't do this. Please at least come with us. Let us show you a true belonging," Rey said while kneeling down in front of Celine.

"I had a messed up childhood. People didn't accept me," Celine continued after she coughed, "But you are the first person that I truly believe that cares about me."

"We honestly all had messed up pasts, but the Light showed us something and helped us achieve something better," Finn said walking up.

Celine was looking at the ground and still holding her throat, "Okay, Rey. I'll go with you. But what will happen to all of my troops?"

"They can get new jobs or we can make a new security force," Ben said.

"I will go as long as my troops are not harmed," Celine said.

"Okay. I promise, Celine," Rey said as she helped Celine get up.

"We better go tell the troops about this," Celine said.

They all walked out of the room and to the elevator together. Ben brought up the topic of making a new government and using the stormtroopers as it's new military. They reached the first floor and walked into the lobby. Captain Amber and Asher were in the lobby and drew their guns when they saw Rey and Finn.

"What is going on?" Captain Amber yelled.

"Whoa, hold on. They are all with me," Celine said.

"What do you mean they're with you?" Captain Asher said moving beside Amber.

"We are not enemies anymore. We are working together. We are going to have leaders from both sides meet up and discuss terms on making a new government," Celine explained.

Amber and Asher lowered their guns. Then Amber asked, "Well, what does that mean for us and the rest of the troops?"

"That is my main thing that I am going to negotiate. That you will all be put into a new force that acts as a military and galactic police force. You will be the new governments army," Celine said.

"I do not want my troops to be treated poorly or looked down upon when this is all said and done," Captain Asher said while Captain Amber nodded in agreement.

Poe, Chewie, and the other troopers were all waiting outside shocked by the stand down order. Celine and Rey informed them all about the situation. That in reality, they all wanted the same thing. They wanted a better galaxy that worked together and prospered. The Resistance was being informed of this as well on Yavin 4. Everyone was going along with the new plan. There were some people who did not agree with the new terms of working together. Those people either abandoned there duties and ran away or they started small fighting groups. One of the new jobs for the stormtroopers would be to find these groups and either arrest them or silence them if they put up a fight and didn't surrender.

Celine kept her saber, but worked on the crystals and used the force to turn them back to the light which turned them white. First her, Rey, and Ben had to go to Corosuant to help establish the new government. It would be very similar to the Republic. Officials would be elected by each planet to represent them. Re-elections would occur every two years. There would also be a president, a vice president, a speaker of the house, an advisor to the president and v.p. Elections began all over the galaxy. The executive positions would take a while to get voted in due to the amount of planets. Rey, Ben, and Celine would be the head peacekeepers and would help with military operations. Captain Amber and Asher kept their officer positions and even got ranked up to commanders. The new Republic military's main job now was to counter smuggling groups, pirates, and terror groups. Asher and Amber helped design new helmets and armor for the troops. Lighter, but much stronger armor. The helmets would have better eye pieces, have night and heat vision capabilities, and also be lighter. They also returned to the different armor colors for different environments as well as division colors.
