Chapter 10: Sarah

"I am in a dire situation. Please help." Sarah read off the last words of the letter her roommate, Pricilla, had handed her today. It didn't have a return address and Sarah rattled her brain thinking about who it could be.

"It could be Ed." She thought. Last she heard, her brother was doing crappy monster movies all over the states. Maybe they were filming one in Peach Creek. But then why would Ed need help? Not to mention the sentences within the letter seemed way too coherent to have been written by him.

"I better consult Jimmy about this." Sarah decided. She grabbed her bag and headed toward the boys dormitory.

Sarah had grown into a pretty young woman and although she still had the same temper she had when she was a kid, she had managed to control it most of the time. It only really flared up when she either encountered sexist assholes or when people mistreated Jimmy. Neither situation ended well for the other guy. Despite this, Sarah had matured a lot over the years with her relationship with her brother unrecognizable from when they were kids.

Sarah was walking through the clearing between the boy's and girl's dormitory when she suddenly smacked against someone and fell to the ground.

"Hey! Watch where you're go-" Sarah was about to go off on the poor guy before she realized it was Jimmy, now sprawled on the freshly cut grass.

"Jimmy!" Sarah shouted as she picked her unconscious boyfriend off the ground and shook him back to his senses.

"Jimmy! Jimmy speak to me!"

"I-I'm fine Sarah!" Jimmy stammered, freeing himself from his girlfriend's grasp. He dusted himself off for the second time that day. "I'm not as fragile as I used to be you know."

"I know." Sarah cooed and she planted a kiss on Jimmy's cheek. "What were you doing running so recklessly like that.

"Oh yeah!" Jimmy pulled out a letter from his bag. "I got this weird letter today from someone asking me to come back to Peach Creek. I don't know who it is or why they need my help of all people but I was thinking, if you want, we could go together.

Sarah could only give a dumbfounded look as she took her own letter out of her bag. "You mean a letter like this?

"You got a letter too!?" Jimmy gasped. "Who's it from?"

"I don't know but I suspect it's from my brother." Sarah answered. "As a matter of fact, I think your letter might be from him as well. It's not uncommon for Ed to send multiple letters to the same address by mistake.

"But then why did I end up getting a letter?" Jimmy questioned.

Sarah just shrugged. "I guess there was a mix up in the mail.

"Oh." Jimmy uttered sadly, lowering his head.

"What's wrong?" Sarah asked.

"It's nothing." Jimmy responded as he quickly picked his head back up. "So are you gonna go?"

"Well if it is Ed, then I really have no choice but to help. I owe it to him for all the times I mistreated him when we were kids. Besides, a trip to our hometown sounds like a much better way to spend Spring Break than a hot beach overcrowded with half-naked bimbos and grabby drunkards."

Jimmy beamed upon those words as he held Sarah close. "Then it's settled! We're off to Peach Creek!"
