Chapter 10: How To Catch A Zombie (Or Not).
The Incredibles waited on top of a roof in West Ridge with a cage ready. They looked and saw Dash down below them. They dropped the cage, only for him to zip away at the last second.
"We should have figured that wouldn't work." Violet said.
Later, they had a different type of trap ready. They hid behind a building and held a cage with a string. Dash was in range, not suspecting a thing. He was right in front of the cage, ready to be caught...
"Hey!" someone yelled. Everyone jumped. Eric let go of the string and the cage clamped down, scaring Dash away. Everyone looked to see the same red-haired boy from the shelter.
"WHAT'S YOUR DEAL, YOU IDIOT! WE ALMOST HAD HIM!" Elastigirl yelled, grabbing the boy by the collar.
"I told you, you are making a bad choice to bring him back to the shelter. All you're doing is putting everyone in danger. Name's Ranco, by the way." the boy said.
"What do you know? Besides, it's not your call to make! He's our family member, so we worry about him!" Voyd yelled.
"You Incredibles say you care about people, but you're willing to make a choice that will possibly zombify hundreds of innocent people? No wonder you were outlawed." Ranco said.
"Why, you…" Violet said, fixing to punch him, when Elastigirl held her back as Evelyn snuck behind him.
"Listen, either help us catch him and bring him to Dr. Blackburne, or get lost!" Eric said.
"Hey, listen, Eric!" Ranco said before he suddenly shot off like a rocket.
"What in the?" Eric asked before Evelyn said, "There we go. A quick messing with the cables and he's out of our hair. Don't worry, I made sure that he would land somewhere safe. You may thank me." drawing applause from them.
Later, the Incredibles and everyone else tried many other tricks to catch Dash, but failed due to bad timing, other zombies getting in the way, and more. They finally decided to head back to the shelter to work out another plan.
