Jax pulled up to the makeshift clubhouse that held the Devil's Tribes MC and the members, he parked his Harley near the road beside his confidant's motorcycle and they both dismounted the motorcycles and started towards the door only to stop as they were greeted by Jury and Needles, walking out of the door. "Jackson Teller!"
"Uncle Jury!" Jax chuckled, hugging the older man before stepping back. "You guys remember Bobby."
Jury held his hand out for Bobby to shake. "Bobby."
"Needles, how ya been?" Bobby hugged the second man.
Needles smiled, returned the hug. "Bobby Elvis." He led the men back into the clubhouse, a blonde woman wearing a short bright yellow bodycon dress greeting the men.
"M.C Royalty in the house, folks!" Jury spoke to the occupants of the clubhouse. "Jax Teller and Bobby Elvis of the Sons."
Jax threw a hand up in a greeting with a cock-sure smile on his face, looking to his left to see the same blonde smiling at him before he turned, Jury draping an arm over his shoulders and leading him to the bar. "I think she's trying to become your Old Lady."
"She's a little late." Jax smiled as he shook his head. "Looks like you've got yourself quite the variety though. Bobby will have some fun."
Jury nodded slowly. "You have an old lady?" He accepted the beer mug that was placed in front of each man from the same blonde that greeted Jax previously. "Started the sports book with the escorts and the strip clubs. First stop over the border."
"Something like that." Jax nodded his head. "Must be churning some serious cash. Got the Mayans circling for a percentage."
Jury rolled his eyes, looking at Jax again. "They're jamming me up, Jax. If I don't pay the Mexicans, they turn my business inside out. If I kick a vig up to 'em, I disrespect you guys."
"Tribe attracts a good membership." Jax noted, taking a drag from his cigarette.
Jury looked out into the great room. "Eighteen. Real good boys."

Vivian Anderson shook her head slowly as she eyed her sister carefully. "Don't make me." She murmured as she adjusted the solid black dress that fell just above her knees and hugged her curves well. "I don't know why you think I need to go out anywhere."
"Because you're boring and mopey and it's not you." Isabel shook her head slowly. "We're going out. You and I, plus Eric and Cooper." She smiled as she checked her appearance in Vivian's bathroom mirror. "I look great and you do too. Give him another chance."
The younger brunette rolled her eyes. "I don't care too. He's boring, he cares more about golf than other people and he's a lawyer. We have nothing to even talk about." She stepped into a pair of black stilettos and groaned. "I will go for the food but if I'm bored, I'm leaving. I'd have a better time talking to a rock anyway."
"At least you're trying, that's better than staying here in your pjs and watching that damn doctor show. You're a doctor in real life, why would you want to come home and watch doctor things?" Isabel shook her head before turning to look at her sister. "At least you look amazing. I'm really surprised you're single, on looks alone you kill."
Vivian shook her head slowly. "I'm single because I'm focused on my budding career. I'm not concerned with settling down right now."
"But don't you get lonely? You don't date or anything." Isabel whined as she shook her head. "Get a bed buddy or something."
Vivian turned to look at her sister and shook her head. "I am fine. I don't need a bed buddy or anything like that. I enjoy being by myself right now." She shrugged. "There's no possible I can be hurt either so it works for me."
"You cannot be scared forever. There's good guys out there." Isabel shook her head again. "Not everyone wants to hurt you."
Later that night
Jax Teller was sitting on the bed of the spare room he was staying in for the next few days, he was staring at his phone. He just wanted to press the little green button and make his call but he couldn't seem to do it now. He wanted to call her so bad but her words were resonating in his head.
"It disappeared the night you decided to throw all of what we were building out the fucking window. I forgave you, I'm not forgetting what you did though." Her brown eyes were a lighter shade than normal, her heart looked like it was pounding through her chest. He knew he messed up, he knew he was an idiot for everything he did. He had it all and threw it away over his treacherous past and a few drinks. "I cannot look at you right now without seeing that stupid look on your stupid face when you showed up at my place of work just to tell me you fucked my colleague, your ex…" She knew Tara was up to no good and she warned him weeks prior but he just didn't listen. He was a fool and he just knew he'd lost everything he needed and wanted over his own stupidity. Even his mother was right. He can't ever just think with the right head. The words kept playing over and over in his head as he continued to picture the hurt look on Vivian's face. How could he hurt her… She was never anything but good to him, she saved him and she supported him, she was always there for him and she even loved him. Despite his transgressions, despite the club. She didn't know everything but she knew that something went on with the club and she still loved him, she still accepted him with open arms.
Not anymore though. Now she was gone.
He dialed the number he knew by heart and held the phone to his ear, silently begging for an answer. Silently begging her to talk to him. The soft voice came through the speaker, he sighed. "Viv! I was beginning to think you were just going to ignore my call. I'm glad you answered. I just wanted to tell you I made it to Nevada safely. I should be back tomorrow night."
"I only answered because I knew you'd just keep calling. At least you're safe, I'll pass that news on to your beloved."
He sighed again. "It's not her business and she is not my damn beloved. Let me fix this shit."
"You can't fix breaking my trust, Jackson. I gave you no fucking reasons to go fuck anyone else, let alone your stupid ass fucking ex girlfriend. Have you even considered your fucking consequences? You said you'd been drinking. Were you protected? Did you wear a condom? Did it break? Did you pull out?" She scoffed, tears rolling down her face. "Why did you do this, Jax? Why'd you fucking do this shit to me? To us?"
He rubbed at his eyes, he could hear her voice breaking as she spoke to him. "I'm sorry, baby. I'm sorry, I am. I fucked up and I know it but I need to fix this, I need us back, I need you back, Viv. I was a fucking dumbass." He covered his face. "I need you back, babe. I'm sorry, I swear to everything it won't happen again. I swear, Viv."
"Prove it." The call ended, he lost her. She hung up on him and he knew she was still crying, her voice was weak and she could barely even get those words out. He couldn't even figure out himself how he could be so damn stupid. He couldn't figure out what she meant either. Prove it.

Vivian pulled the neck of her t-shirt up to her face, hiding it as she let her sobs out. She couldn't fight her tears anymore, she was still upset. Still hurt. It was a given. He hurt her. She finally got her breathing under control and she cleaned up her face, smeared make-up now soaking up her shirt. She stood up, making her way into the entryway to lock the door only to stop at the sound of the doorbell ringing and she sighed heavily trying to fix her appearance before opening the door. She furrowed her brow before stepping outside, closing the door behind her. "How can I help you?"
"What did he do?"
Vivian crossed her arms over her chest and she shrugged lazily. "Not sure what you are referring to. Could you be more specific?"
"He has been back at the clubhouse and you've been crying."
The petite brunette nodded her head. "Alcohol makes people do stupid shit. Stupid shit varies in size."
"Quit the bullshit. I know something is up between you two, just because you don't want to be public doesn't mean some people haven't figured it out. I'm his mother, of course I know." Gemma Teller-Morrow crossed her arms over her chest as she stared down at the petite brunette. "What did he do?"
Vivian shook her head slowly. "It's nothing, Gemma. Thanks for stopping by."
"Are you at least making him work for it?" The older brunette cocked an eyebrow at the younger woman. "At the very least? If you're not going to talk about whatever he did while drunk…"
Vivian nodded again. "I am making him understand his mistake, yes."
October 5, 2008
It was early morning by the time Jax Teller got back into town and he was tired but he knew as he checked the time that read eight-oh-two, he was sure to find Vivian Anderson at the hospital. Probably just getting into her office, a coffee mug in her hand and thinking about breakfast. He delivered, it was her favorite. Local cafe served breakfast and lunch, which was her favorite meals. He grabbed her a homemade buttermilk biscuit, featuring an egg, sausage, grape jelly and pepperjack cheese.
He thought she was crazy the first he heard about the strange combination but once he tried it, he understood her admiration for the cafe and the biscuit itself. Jax moved through the halls of the hospital, his phone ringing brought the man to a stop. It was the personal cell phone, he fished it out of his front pocket to see his ex-wife was calling him back. "Hey."
"Hey, sorry I missed the call. Feeding the hungry hippo."
"All good, I figured as much. Your appointment is at eight-forty-five, right? I'll be here for it. Just wanted to check in."
"Yeah, I wanted to make sure he was doing ok. The whole heart defect thing. He's been acting ok but I like knowing. Nothing major, ya know? Did you just get back into town?"
Jax stopped short of Vivian's office. "Yeah, I did. I agree, let's keep an eye on the big guy. Tell him I love him and I'll see him in a little bit." They said their goodbyes and he approached the office, knocking on the cracked door. He watched the door open slightly and Vivian stood up from her desk. "I brought you breakfast."
"Bribing my forgiveness?" She fixed her attire before she moved toward the man, guiding him into the office before closing the door. "Good choice though. If you were looking for any affection, this is the way to go. Food, but my favorite biscuit? Ugh. Did you get one too?"
He nodded slowly, watching the brunette carefully as she took the bag from the man and placed it on her desk. He was itching to hold her. "Not bribing you, just thinking about you. Wanted to see that look on your face."
"How was the ride home?" She inquired as she grabbed ahold of his kutte and started to push it off of his shoulders. "What was the point of this trip?"
He dropped his kutte to a chair in front of her desk as he kept his blue eyes on the brunette and his hands at his side. "I needed to meet with a brother club and patch them over to our club. Offer some protection as well. The ride was long and I just wanted to get back to you."
"Well it's over now and I'm right here." Vivian looked up at the man, a hand coming up to the zipper on his navy blue jacket and she slowly tugged it down, pushing the jacket off of his shoulders as well. "Offer protection for what?"
Jax dropped the discarded jacket on top of his kutte as he felt her small but soft, warm hands on his bare skin. His white t-shirt being pushed up slightly as he backed up to the brunette's desk, leaning against it as he watched her for a moment longer. "Viv." He murmured as she closed the space between them, his arms instinctively wrapping around her before he unwound them to place his large hands on her hips. "You're making it difficult to focus on our conversation."
"Then pause the conversation." She murmured as she looked up at him again, moving a hand up his body to his blonde hair and tangled her fingers into the tresses to pull him down to her level. "Do no fuck me over again."
He caught her lips in a slow kiss before it was quickly deepened as Jax moved a hand to hold the brunette's head. He slowly pulled away before turning them around, lifting the brunette up and placing her on the desk. "I won't. It was a fucking mistake." He caught her lips again in a deep kiss as he slowly pushed the skirt of her black above-the-knee boat neck dress up. "I love you, Viv."
