Chapter 11 Monster buddies
An overview of an ice mountain is seen, when a section of the mountain collapses. The Crystal Gems, Speedy and Metal are inside an ice cavern battling a corrupted Larimar while icicles fall all around. Larimar is knocked backwards and crashes into a wall. "Alright everyone!"Garnet says loudly as she was getting ready to finish the monster off. Metal was providing little help as he was mostly focused on Steven.
"One more attack should do it."Pearl said as She and Speedy had their swords drawn out, but moved away as an icicle impales Larimar's arm, causing it to fall off. "Yikes! Your arm."Steven said as he watched as Garnet punches Larimar, causing her to crumble and poof into a icy cloud. Her gem falls from the cloud and Pearl rushes towards it, catching and then bubbling it away. Metal was keeping his eye on Steven he knew the boy could be helpful and discover things with out knowing it.
"Mission successful, now to get out of all this snow brrr."Speedy says even as he was making snow ball appears in his hands he was in his ice form and was having fun. "Well Now there's nothing standing between us and the Shooting Star."Pearl says happily as The cavern continues to rumble and crumble. "This job is really dangerous! Whoaa, Jeeezzz. Whu-Whoa, MAMA!"Amethyst said as she gets buried under a pile of small ice boulders.
"Amethyst! Uh, don't worry! I'll dig you out...quick Metal my little flame please."Steven said Metal let out a sigh. Steven was gifted a small robot that could help him with cooking and well he named the small robot Little flame Since it was really good at controlling fire and being a bit sassy at Steven. "Little flame melt the snow and get Amethyst out please."Steven said to little flame. "I am a chef not a flame thrower!"Little Flame said "We've got to get Steven out of here! as helpful as he might be."Pearl says as she saw little Flame Melt some of the ice boulder into Ice cones and started to scope the snow like they were snow cones. "Agree."Metal and Speedy said at the same time.
"I'm sending you back to the temple."Garnet said as she turned to Steven. "But Garnet, how are you gonna..."Steven asks but suddenly Garnet bubbles Steven up. "wait You can bubble me/Him?!"Steven and Metal asks at the same as Garnet sends the bubbled Steven back to the temple. The ice cavern then caves in, burying the Gems for Speedy had already ran away and Metal teleported away. "uh they ditched usssss."Amethyst said as they got buried.
Steven screams as he is warped through the bubble stream. He then appears in the basement of the temple, surrounded with several bubbled gems. "Whoa! I'm back inside the temple."Steven says as he sees Larimar's gem from before. "Hehehe, look 'atcha now. Stuck in a bubble. Hmmm. Let me see if I can... Graaa-yeah!"Steven said as he had forcefully pulled his bubble open, popping it, and falls "Whoa! someone help."Steven said as he falls on top of the bubble of another gem, causing it to pop. The gem would fall to the ground and then begins to reform, meanwhile Metal caught Steven before he could hit the Floor. -Hmͫmͫ niͥcͨeͤ plaͣcͨeͤ yoͦuͧ goͦtͭ hͪeͤrͬeͤ.-Metal said as he placed Steven gently onto the ground.
"I uh may have made one of those gems pop free from their bubbly home."Steven said as he pointed behind Metal. The regenerating form glows in green, at first seemingly humanoid, before expanding to glowing into a giant familiar monster a Centipeetle. "Aah! The Centipeetle! they spit acid and destroy food!"Steven said as he stood behind Metal trying to stay safe in case it decided to attack.
Nephrite glances at Steven for a moment, before shrinking down and reforming into a smaller version of itself. -Stͭeͤvͮeͤn Stͭoͦw yoͦuͧrͬ feͤaͣrͬ, I tͭhͪiͥnk iͥtͭ's aͣfrͬaͣiͥdͩ...buͧtͭ weͤ hͪaͣvͮeͤn'tͭ aͣtͭtͭaͣcͨkeͤdͩ iͥtͭ yeͤtͭ noͦrͬ dͩoͦ weͤ hͪaͣvͮeͤ weͤaͣpoͦns -Metal says "Eh... Huh?"Steven asks as he sees the Nephrite, trembling in fear. "It looks... so scared."Steven says as he crawls towards it. "Uhh, hi. Ah, it's okay. Look."Steven said as he lies belly flat on the floor, Metal was recording him but Steven didn't know that. "Please don't be scared of me. See, I'm not gonna hurt you. Yeah, just relax."Steven says as Nephrite begins to calm down. "Yeah, that's it. Doesn't relaxing feel nice? You wanna come over here and relax with me? Yeah, we can totally just hang out and relax, right here on the floor."Steven says causing Metal to smile to due to Steven's Nature. The Nephrite starts crawling towards Steven. "Yeah, don't be shy. We can be friends. My name's St-"Steven says but then pearl interrupts. "STEVEN! Get away from that thing!"Pearl shouted
"Whoa, dude!"Amethyst said as Steven tried to talk. "Wait! It's not-"Steven said but Stopped as Garnet leaps over and attempts to punch the frightened Nephrite, which was protected by Metal as he Punched Garnet's Fist -aͣlwaͣys wiͥtͭhͪ tͭhͪeͤ aͣtͭtͭaͣcͨk fiͥrͬstͭ aͣndͩ aͣsk quͧeͤstͭiͥoͦn laͣtͭeͤrͬ...mͫaͣkeͤs mͫeͤ dͩoͦuͧbtͭ yoͦuͧrͬ aͣbiͥliͥtͭiͥeͤs-Metal says as the Nephrite was now hiding behind him. Pearl then jumps to Steven's side. "This was a terrible idea! And he's even managed to pop a bubble, and let out that awful... thing!"Pearl says -weͤll yoͦuͧrͬ noͦ shͪiͥniͥng peͤaͣrͬl eͤiͥtͭhͪeͤrͬ-Metal said
Garnet's gauntlets sparkle, ready to attack the cornered Nephrite again. "Metal move."Garnet said -Yoͦuͧrͬ goͦiͥng tͭoͦ hͪaͣvͮeͤ aͣndͩ mͫaͣkeͤ mͫeͤ mͫoͦvͮeͤ-metal said as his chest core started to spin. "If that thing hurt you, so help me I'll !-"Pearl says but Steven cuts her off. "No! It didn't do anything!"Steven says as he runs in between Garnet and Metal. "Garnet, don't hurt it!"Steven says as he spreads his arms out. "I accidentally let it out of its bubble, but it didn't even try to hurt me. It's not like the other monsters, it's just scared and confused. Please Garnet. I'm begging you"Steven said as he had small tears in his eyes. "... I can't say no to that face."Garnet said as she put her gauntlets away. "Excuse me?! You can't be serious!"Pearl said loudly Metal could only sigh as he knew he might have to Pearl today.
"I think you should try and tame it, Steven."Garnet said as she knew once Steven had something on his mind he would want to do it, Plus with Metal backing him up it's almost impossible to say no. "Garnet!"Steven exclaimed as he suddenly hugs Garnet's leg. "Thank you sooo much."Steven said "Well, let's at least take some safety precautions."Pearl said only to look at Metal who was giving her look that said back off or be shattered. "...just go outside so nothing in the house get's destroyed like last time."Pearl says a bit nervously. Metal would look down at the Nephrite, he looked at it and then moved his head to the door and walked towards the door the Nephrite quickly followed.
Steven had Quickly followed, while the Gems stayed inside of the house and watched from the window. "Okay, friend. It's just us now. Calm, calm, calm. Just like before. Just relax and let your hair down."Steven says as Metal was sitting on the sand just looking towards the ocean Nephrite begins to calm down again. "You wanna come over here?"Steven says as Nephrite jitters on the spot. "C'mon, it won't be like before. How about we try something else? Hmmmm. Oh, what's this?"Steven asks as he pulls out a bag of Chaaaaps from his jacket. "I thought I already eaten these earlier."Steven said as he held the bag of Chaaaaps.
"Do You like chiiiips? You want a few chiipps? Yeah? Yeah?"Steven says as he takes a chip out of the bag. "Awwww, look at this chip! yum!"Steven said as he eats the chip. "Mmm, tasty, tasty. Try it!"Steven says as he takes out another chip. "Smells good, right?"Steven asks Nephrite as she grabs the chip out of Steven's hand and eats it. "I don't know how you eat with an eyeball in your mouth, but I'm glad you like it."Steven said as he gets up and leads Nephrite with a chip in hand towards Metal. Nephrite would take the chip and offered it to Metal. "aww I think she likes you."Steven says -Thͪaͣnk yoͦuͧ Neͤphͪrͬiͥtͭeͤ-Metal said as he took the chip tossed it into the air and caught it with his mouth.
Steven then throws handfuls of chips in air and laughs. "Hey, come on!"Steven says as Nephrite gets near Steven and starts eating chips off the air so was Metal. "You love chips, Metal loves chips and I love chips! Hahahaha! Yeah"Steven says happily until A seagull sees the chips in Steven's hand and bites his hand, causing Steven to drop the bag in pain. "Aaah! Shoo, get! Those aren't for you!"Steven says as he tries to shoo the bird away. The seagull does growling squeak at Steven, when a spray of acid splashes in between Steven and the seagull. Steven turns and sees an agitated Nephrite "W-What are you doing?"Steven asks and watched as Nephrite shoots another spray of acid at the seagull again, scaring it away. "You... saved me."Steven says and gives Nephrite a hug.
Metal, Steven and Nephrite head back into the house, where the Gems are gathered and discussing at the kitchen counter. "... But we have to go back for the Shooting Star!"Pearl says "Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst!"Steven says "Woah, why isn't that thing on a-"Pearl says as she at Metal and sighed -soͦ whͪeͤn aͣrͬeͤ yoͦuͧ guͧys hͪeͤaͣdͩiͥng baͣcͨk tͭoͦ tͭhͪeͤ cͨaͣvͮeͤ tͭoͦ geͤtͭ baͣcͨk tͭhͪeͤ shͪoͦoͦtͭiͥng stͭaͣrͬ?-Metal asks "oh Nephrite, She can help us on like missions and stuff."Steven says "Well I dunno how we're getting through that cavern without causing a cave-in anyway."Amethyst says as she was eating a sandwich only for Steven to had Nephrite knock the sandwich out her hand by mistake. "Hmmm. That's how."Garnet says as she looks at Nephrite, whose saliva is dripping of her mouth and burning another hole into the wooden floor. -weͤll tͭhͪeͤn leͤtͭ's seͤeͤ hͪoͦw tͭhͪiͥs plaͣys oͦuͧtͭ-Metal says as he follows the group towards the warp pad.
With Nephrite and Metal's help The Crystal Gems proceed to venture through the Ice Cavern, as Nephrite helps with her acid spray and Metal with his Flame thrower to overcome any obstacles in their way. The Crystal Gems eventually arrive in a room containing the Shooting Star. "There it is! The Shooting Star!"Pearl says as she proceeds to point at the pool in the center of the room "An ancient elemental, so hot, and so volatile, it can only be contained in extreme ice. Bare skin cannot endure its intensity!"Pearl says and she screamed in fright as Metal proceeded to just grab the element with his hands. -I seͤeͤn stͭoͦneͤs wiͥtͭhͪ stͭrͬoͦngeͤrͬ eͤneͤrͬgy...buͧtͭ whͪoͦ knoͦws mͫaͣybeͤ iͥtͭ's tͭhͪeͤ tͭhͪeͤ eͤffeͤcͨtͭ tͭhͪaͣtͭ mͫaͣkeͤs iͥtͭ speͤcͨiͥaͣl aͣndͩ noͦtͭ tͭhͪeͤ eͤneͤrͬgy iͥn poͦweͤrͬ...aͣndͩ wiͥtͭhͪ stͭrͬoͦngeͤrͬ hͪeͤaͣtͭ-Metal says as he was tossing the shooting star up and down casually.
Nephrite suddenly starts spazzing out at the of the Shooting star. "No, no, no! Not now!"Steven says worried as he rushes to Nephrite "Something's wrong."Garnet says as she watches. Nephrite continues to spazz in fear and starts shooting acid all over the ceiling, causing stalactites to fall from the ceiling. "Woah! Watch out!"Steven shouts as he dodges a few Ice shards. All of the Gems duck to avoid the falling stalactites, when an eruption occurs from the pool, frightening Nephrite even more. "Steven!"Pearl shouts as she summons her spear. "I knew this would happen!"Pearl says as she charges towards Nephrite and smacks her against a wall. The impact causes a crack to occur in a giant stalactite. "Aaah! Pearl, stop! It was an accident!"Steven says as he accidentally pulls Nephrite's hair casuing her to spit out more acid. "Sorry for pulling..."Steven says sadly. "Steven!"Garnet excalimed as she kicks the agitated Nephrite away. "Noooo!"Steven says as he begins to tear up after seeing his friend be kicked away.
Nephrite gets up and charges toward Garnet and Steven. Pearl and Amethyst blocks her path and continues to attack her. The crack in the giant stalactite continues to worsen. Amethyst reels Nephrite in with her whip and accidentally sends herself and the Gems flying into the wall. Nephrite then prepares to retaliate but Steven pulled her in for a hug to help calm her down. Acid drips out Nephrite's mouth, damaging Steven's jacket, as she begins to calm down. The crack in the giant stalactite finally gives way, causing it to fall towards Steven. As it nears, Nephrite shoves Steven out of the way.
"Noooo!"Steven shouts as Garnet catches his as he flung towards her, but suddenly Metal vaporized all the falling stalactite before they could crush Nephrite. -Reͤtͭrͬaͣcͨtͭ iͥntͭoͦ yoͦuͧrͬ shͪeͤll...yoͦuͧrͬ yeͤtͭ noͦtͭ rͬeͤaͣdͩy tͭoͦ keͤeͤp beͤiͥng wiͥtͭhͪ uͧs...buͧtͭ weͤ wiͥll cͨuͧrͬeͤ yoͦuͧ oͦneͤ dͩaͣy.-Metal said. Nephrite would bow and then started to glow as she was now back in her gem form. "I'll keep it safe."Steven says as he holds his hands over Nephrite's gem, and bubbles it. "Steven! You can bubble Gems!"Pearl said happily. "Wait for me, Centipeetle. I promise I'll heal you up someday."Steven says as he sends the bubbled gem away to the temple. "Ooh! Wait!"Steven says as he reaches for something in his jacket.
Back in the Burning Room, the bubbled Nephrite's gem reappears, followed by a bag of Chaaaaps in a bubble next to her. Two star irises then zoom in on the two bubbles, then the Star irises would widen around Speedy. He was was standing on pillar of sand as he and sand monster had been training for the whole day. "Come on Sandy I know you can do better than that."Speedy said Suddenly as a gaint sand monster formed taller then the sand pillar he was standing on and it was making large battle axes, sharp buzz saws and giant spikey Balls. "Thats more like it."Speedy said as his hair turned Red. The Two Star irises zoomed in on Speedy and the giant sand monster as they clashed attacks.
