a/n: Hey guys, it's been a while. Sorry for the extremely late update. Life caught up to me. Please do review but be gentle with me. I got overly sensitive over the years
Chapter 12
Naraku hid in the shadows as he trailed the half breed. His master may still harbor hope that this idiot has a chance to turn over a new leaf, but Naraku knew better. He knew how stupid this hanyou is. He knew Kikyo was no longer of the living and he knew that she had relayed information to Naraku, but Inuyasha was turned a blind eye towards her actions. Denying what she was doing.
He made excuses after excuses for the walking clay. And Naraku wanted to know if Inuyasha would break should he find out that his beloved Kikyo was enjoying herself rutting with with the detestable Naraku.
Although he was a disgusting monster, but even Naraku could not stand the stench of an undead. Hence why he made her rut with a physical clone of himself. He even went as far as giving that clone a portion of his power so that she wouldn't find out.
It was amusing to see that half breed still in denial. Inuyasha claimed that it was Naraku's doing. That Naraku had brainwashed her. Only the living can be brainwashed. The dead do not have such freedom. The only reason he was infatuated with Kikyo to begin with, was because she looked like his master.
He was frustrated however, to see that unlike his master, Kikyo was cold and a schemer. Even back when she was a living ningen, she would only help when she knew it would benefit her. Naraku was enraged that a creature with the splitting image of his master would do such cruel deeds. Even if she was unaware of how uncanny her looks were to someone he held precious, she was a miko. She should have helped without hoping for an exchange of profit for her.
He had watched her from a far. When he went under the disguise as Onigumo, he had seen her going to brothels under the pretense of helping someone. But he knew she was receiving her monthly coins from the owner in exchange she allowed the brothel to continue their business.
Once, someone had asked her why she was not abolishing the red light district. She flawlessly gave a grim and troubled look to the crowd and said,

"If they were to return to society, how are they to adapt? The only thing they knew is what they are doing now. Would the society accept them? Even if you did, would people from the other villages and cities accept them? Their past will eventually come back to them." She said covering her mouth as she choked out a sob.
Everyone had tears in their eyes then, moved by her words and promising they would do their part and not be prejudiced against the ladies from the brothels.
They failed to see that behind that hand was an evil smirk.
She brought children the women birthed to orphanages in other cities… the bigger children she found along the way were taken from there, hopes in their eyes shining brightly thinking that the beautiful miko was an angel that was brought down from heaven to save them. What they didn't know was that she was taking them to the mines, selling them as slaves for a gold coin per head.
"Kikyo onee-sama, thank you for the kimono!" Kaede grinned with burning happiness at the gift her sister had bought her. Totally unaware of the way she had procured the money to buy such extravagant item for her.
She smiled at her younger sister, no doubt evil thoughts running through her mind.
"When I grow up, I wish to help you every way I can onee-sama!" Kaede promised.
Kikyo hugged her sister, stroking her younger sister's hair in a way it looked so full of love. However for him, he saw that sinister smile she was showing on her face.
"Oh my dear Kaede, you will most definitely be useful to me." She smirked, still stroking Kaede's hair.
Naraku narrowed his eyes, sick to his stomach at the ningen miko. Watching her falling deeper into the abyss, the road to a dark miko. Until the day she found that stupid half breed.
At first Naraku sighed as he knew that Inuyasha was going to be her next victim. A descendant of human and dog demon. And when it was known to them that he is Inuyasha, son of Inu no Taisho and Izayoi, Kikyo's smile became even more sinister to the point it made him sick to the stomach.
He wanted to leave that ingrate be and watched him die. Inuyasha went on and on about he was abandoned. But he wasn't. His master's betrothed had come to pick him up many a time but he acted like a dimwit. Blaming the lord for his predicament and mother's death.
He made it seem like it was the lord of the west that took everything away from him when in fact it was the other way round. Izayoi had taken his father's love from his mother, bewitching him with her sorcery. Not many knew that the princess was actually a witch who was hungry for power and a man that could pass as kami with his looks and power. Her eyes fell on the foolish dog general.
Sesshomaru is a creature of honor. Even if Inuyasha was half breed, he would still take him in. Fed him, clothed him and provide him with everything he needed and wanted in exchange for the child to never tarnish the family honor. He wanted to bestow his brother with the title of Kazoku(equivalent to duke).
No matter how many times the lord had come to bring him back, Inuyasha would bark and bite and violently thrash against the elder male. When he had reached adulthood, Sesshomaru finally decided,
"When you have calmed down and decided to think with you brain, you are welcomed to find me at my palace." He said with narrowed eyes before turning around and returning to his home.
Again, Naraku felt that this half breed really didn't know how to count his blessings. He ignored the brat until he found Kikyo. He had not thought of Inuyasha in years until the two of them met.
It was the year Kikyo was handed the Shikon no Tama to guard…
A/N: This chapter is a bit rushed because i felt that i had to put this here before i lost the inspiration and go M.I.A again. Thank you for bearing with me.
To the guest that pointed out about Sesshomaru's nickname. Yes i was and still am a fangirl. It will never change. I know you didn't mean to but i was a tad offended by your remarks. I accept constructive criticism but that doesn't change the fact that i am human and that my feelings do get hurt. You have no idea how long it took me to get even 1 chapter done. But thank you for taking your time to read my horribly written story(WTH WAS 14 YEAR OLD ME DOING?!) and also thank you for pointing out about the use of Sesshomaru's nickname. I will make changes in the future. ^.^
