Kanto Part 12

Ash and Alice enter the room with the stairs as they are now at the Team Rocket's base. "Intruder alert!" Some grunts find Ash and Alice as they all send out their Pokemon. Ash says, "We are definitely in the Rocket's base."

"What are we going to do then?" Alice asks.

"We fight, until we get the Cubone out of there." Ash replies as they take out their Pokemon to battle. Alice uses her Geodude against some of the trainers while Ash uses Pidgeotto to battle. Eventually Geodude evolves into Graveler and then it uses Rock Blast, knocking out a lot of Zubats and also Rattatas, as for Ash, his Pidgeotto uses the Flying attacks to knock out Grimer and Koffing.

Kanto Dex Entry No.75 Graveler: The Rock Pokemon: Rock and Ground Type. Evolved from Geodude at LV:25. Rolls down slopes to move. It rolls over any obstacle without slowing or changing its direction.

After the grunts are knocked out, Ash and Alice search around the area and they find a lot of stuff in the first basement. They look at the computer and Ash says, "It seems like those are the data of the Pokemon they have captured..."

"Yeah. And also the trade datas, I think we will leave them to the officials, there is nothing here and I think we should go downstairs."

As they head downstairs, they are also ambushed by a lot of grunts on the way, this time Ash uses Onix while Alice uses Drowzee. With the battle against the same Pokemon, this time Drowzee evolves and uses Hypnosis to knock out all the grunts.

Kanto Dex Entry No.97 Hypno: The Hypnosis Pokemon: Psychic Type. Evolved from Drowzee at LV:26. When it locks eyes with an enemy, it will use a mix of PSI moves such as Hypnosis and Confusion.

"Woah, what are those?" Ash says as they see some weird looking panels, as they stop on it, they start to being pushed until they stopped at the wall.

"This sure is making us dizzy." Alice says, "What are those things?"

"I think they really look like spin tiles that my mother told us to worry about. Geez...they sure making us dizzy..." Ash says.

"But we should complete the maze if we want to go downstairs..." Alice says as they sigh, they start to try out other tiles and eventually they feel uncomfortable as they arrive at the stairs.

"But those stairs go up..." Alice says, "Didn't one of the grunts said that their boss might be underground?"

"There is an elevator there, but I think we need the key and it may be on the top floor." Ash says.

Once they arrive there, they find nothing and eventually they go downstairs once more. After fighting more grunts, they find more spin panels and they eventually head downstairs again.

Now they are at the fourth basement, they find some grunts and battle them once more, but this time, three Pokemon evolve after the battle. The first one is Meowth, who evolves and uses Power Gem to knock out some Pokemon.

Kanto Dex Entry No.53 Persian: The Classy Cat Pokemon: Normal Type. Evolved from Meowth at LV:28. Although its fur has many admirers, it is tough to raise as a pet because of its fickle meanness.

The second one to evolve is Mankey, after evolving, it uses Thrash on all the Pokemon that it sees, Ash has to quickly recall him before things get worse.

Kanto Dex Entry No.57 Primeape: The Pig Monkey Pokemon: Fighting Type. Evolved from Meowth at LV:28. Always furious and tenacious to boot. It will not abandon chasing its quarry until it is caught.

And the final Pokemon to evolve is Machop, who has become stronger and eventually uses Seismic Toss to deal a lot of damage.

Kanto Dex Entry No.67 Machoke: The Superpower Pokemon: Fighting Type. Evolved from Machop at LV:28. Its muscular body is so powerful, it must wear a power save belt to be able to regulate its motions.

"Ash, I got the Elevator key." Alice says after stealing it from a grunt's body.

"Good, now let's go to the elevator so we can go to the other side of this floor." Ash says as they rush back, after the mazes and puzzles, eventually they arrive at the floor, but Jessie, James and Meowth are there as they block the room.

"Hey, you two were the twerps from Mt. Moon!" Jessie recognizes the two and Alice says, "Nice to meet you again, huh?"

"Just how long are you gonna follow us around? I know I'm beautiful, but what do you want?" Jessie says.

"We are here for the Cubone, that's for sure." Ash says.

"What?! That Cubone? Ha! We already gave the poor thing to the boss!" Meowth replies.

"Then if you don't want what is happening, then let us go." Ash says.

"It doesn't matter! There's no way we're letting you through to see the boss!" Jessie replies.

"It's payback time for those fossils from Mt. Moon, you brat!" James says.

Then they send out Arbok and Weezing, Ash says, "So they have evolved..."

Then Ash and Alice send out Butterfree and Hypno, with the help of the Sleep Powder and the Hypnosis, the two Poison Type Pokemon fall asleep and eventually they are defeated by the Psywave and the Psychic.

Jessies says in anger, "Such a dreadful twerp!"

James gives an anime cry while recalling his Pokemon, "But I was so confident this time!"

"Hmph! How infuriating! Don't let it go to your head just because your Pokémon were a teeny tiny bit stronger!" Jessie says after seeing how Ash and Alice praise their Pokemon.

"Exactly! And even if you did defeat us in battle, we're still bigger and stronger than you! We'll just use brute force to-"

Just then, Pikachu gives them a Thunderbolt, causing them to be shocked and run for their lives. "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

Alice says, "Good riddance..."

"Yeah, now let's go save Cubone." Ash says as they enter the room, they see two people conversating.

"Just one look at this Silph Scope and it's plain to see... Silph Co. definitely has the technology and skill Team Rocket will need to make our wishes come true." The blue haired man says.

"Hmph... A machine that lets you see what otherwise cannot be seen... It's nothing but a useless toy. Still... Yes, this could do. Carry on, Archer, with your plans to take over Silph Co. for Team Rocket." The black haired man says.

"Yes, sir!" The blue haired man says, but as he turns around, they see the two.

"What is a child doing here? You listened in our conversation without saying a word? I don't much care for that. I am Archer, an Admin of Team Rocket. And I do not go easy even on children!" Archer says.

"We should see about that." Ash says.

"Ash, I'll take care of him, you go get that Cubone." Alice says as Ash nods, getting past Archer as he faces against the man in front of him.

Archer looks how the brat leaves, he says, "Do you seriously think you can take me on?" He sends out Weezing and Golbat.

Alice says, "I am sure I can win this against you." She sends out Mr. Mime and Vaporeon to battle the two.

As for Ash, he is facing against the said person, he says, "I must say—I am impressed you got here."

Ash is surprised to see the face, and he asks, "Uncle? Is that really you? What are you doing with Team Rocket? They are bad people!"

The man just walks forward and faces Ash, he says, "Is that what your mother told you? I can't blame her for giving you that thought. Team Rocket captures Pokémon from around the world. They're important tools for keeping our criminal enterprise going. And I am the leader of this enterprise...Giovanni!"

Ash can't believe that he is actually related to the leader of the Rocket boss, then he shows a determined face and he says, "How could you do this...Never mind, I am here for the Cubone, I want you to release it."

Giovanni just laughs and says, "Fwahahahaha! You came barging into our hideout just for that? No wonder you are amusing. But... For your insolence, you will feel a world of pain!"

Then he sends out an Onix, Ash says, "I really don't want to fight you, but I guess I have no other choice, huh?" Ash takes out his Gyarados, who gives a loud roar. With the Hydro Pump, it gives Onix a lot of damage, but Giovanni commands Onix to use Rock Slide, which also deals a lot of damage to Gyarados.

"Damn it..." Ash says as he commands to use Ice Fang, eventually freezes the Onix and then it uses the Aqua Tail to finish it off.

"I see that you have also trained your skills as a trainer, but don't think it will be easy." Then he sends out Rhyhorn next. With the Horn Drill, it manages to defeat Gyarados with ease.

"I am sorry, Gyarados..." Ash recalls his Pokemon and then sends out Machoke to battle. With the Detect, it manages to block a lot of moves, eventually it uses the Bulk Up to power up and eventually defeat it with Dynamic Punch.

Giovanni's final Pokemon is a Kangaskhan, and with the rage, it manages to knock out Machoke, so Ash uses Charmeleon to battle. "So that is your first Pokemon, huh?"

"What if it is?" Ash says as he tells it to use Flamethrower, but Giovanni tells Kangaskhan to use Comet Punch, giving a lot of damage to the Charmeleon. Eventually, with the Dragon Rage, Kangaskhan is knocked out.

"*pant pant* That was a truly intense fight." Giovanni says as he recalls his final Pokemon.

Alice also defeats Archer and Archer says, "F-forgive me, Giovanni... For me to be defeated by a simple child..."

Giovanni mutters, "Useless..." Then he turns to Ash and says, "Then again, you are my nephew, I should expect you are as strong as your mother. Do as you wish to that Cubone."

Cubone just rushes towards Alice, jumping in her arms, much to her surprise. Giovanni takes the Silph Scope and says, "And take this. As my apology for mocking you as a child."

Ash takes the scope and he says, "Uncle, why are you doing this? Why do you disappear and why did you form Team Rocket. I want some explanations."

Giovanni just simply turns around and says, "Ash, I want you to know that the adult's world is full of cruelty, you won't understand it. I can see you raise Pokémon with utmost care. But you would never understand what I hope to achieve. ... ... ... I shall step aside this time! But I hope we will meet and battle again!"

Just then, they leave the place, and after a while, the police lead by Delia rushes into the spot. "Mom?" Ash asks in surprise.

"I got a call from the police department that some witness find my brother here. Where is he?" Delia asks.

"He is gone, you are too late..." Ash says, "Mom, how did Giovanni form Team Rocket and what's going on here?"

Delia frowns a little and then she says, "That is another story to tell, anyways, I'll take you guys out of here and we should talk a little.

Alice and Ash nod, while Alice still hugs the Cubone as the three of them leave the place while the police do their investigation.

Here is another new chapter, and surprise, Giovanni is Ash's uncle, but instead of trying to make it a good person like I wrote in the other fanfics, I want to make him a chaotic character in the story like in the games. In the next chapter will be Delia's story about Giovanni.
