Dear Ma and Pa
Everyone is still buzzing from the Holidays, so we didn't really start classes up again today. Monday is when classes start up again... hopefully without, uh, snowballs... Yeah we still don't know who started it. All we know is that someone threw a snowball at the headmaster and next thing we know we're in the middle of a staff versus student body snowball fight. It was...pretty intense too. While I'm glad that I got to go home for the holidays, minus the sleepover disaster, I'm just excited to learn some more and be with my friends. Maybe I'll even get the guts to ask Nya out...? I have to go now. Lights out soon.
Oh! Before I forget! Gunner, you know Zane's old bully?, actually helped me out earlier today. No idea what that was about...
With all my love,
Jay J. Walker

"Jay! Jay! Over here!" Cole waved frantically as he spotted his best friend dodging around multiple classmates.
"Cole!" Jay waved frantically at him, even as he somehow managed to dodge a rather grumpy looking Gunner. Cole tensed, noticing the glare that Gunner was shooting him, though he made no moves to pick a fight with the half cyclops, half human teen.
Jay was almost there when Kai swooped out of nowhere and tackled him to the ground. "Jay! Just the guy I need!"
"I'm not doing your science homework for you. And no, it has nothing to do with the fact that Zane already told you no. It has everything to do with the fact that your supposed to do it yourself."
Kai blinked as he released Jay. "How did you know I already asked Zane? Or that I was going to ask for that?" He crossed his arms as he stared at his intelligent friend.
Jay rolled his eyes skyward as he brushed snow off of his blue coat sleeve. "Kai...I'm your friend. I know you well enough to realize that you didn't do your homework and happen to be frantically trying to get others to do it for you instead."
"Fine... Nya!" Kai changed tactics, turning to face his sister, who was talking with her friends nearby.
Nya rolled her eyes, before saying something. Whatever it was that she said, it made Pixal Borg and Skylor to leave quickly. Most likely a warning that Kai was looking for someone to do his science homework for him since those were her friends with the higher grade average. Jay chuckled, even as Zane sidled up to them. "I hope you all had good trip coming back up here."
"It was fine Zane. How was your vacation? Minus the sleepover disaster." Cole shoved his hands into the pockets of his bright orange coat.
Zane's eyes lit up as he turned to face them. "It was...wonderful! I got this new chemistry set that I've been asking for..."
"Science? Really? We were on vacation!" Kai whined as he trudged back over to them.
Jay sniggered, recognizing his expression as one that indicated that once more his plan to get someone else to do his science homework for him was thwarted. "Come on...let's get inside, so that we can unpack."
The four friends immediately perked up at that thought, snagging up their respective suitcases as they turned to the school's wide open doors. No sooner had they done this than with a loud splat, a large snowball slammed into the side of the principal's face. Frozen, they stood stock still, staring wide eyed with horror at the snow dripping down the side of the dragon's face. Sensei Wu slowly raised a hand, carefully wiping a small amount of the snow off...
"No one move...maybe he won't see us that way? I mean...who in their right minds throws a snowball at the headmaster!?" Zane hissed as he tensed, eyes darting everywhere trying to find the guilty party.
Sensei Wu looked over the crowded courtyard, his voice booming out over the crowd. "Who threw that snowball?" Silence fell as no one stepped forward. Everyone that was not guilty squirmed uncomfortably, not sure what to think about the lack of a guilty party... "Fine then. Since you won't step forward... snowball fight!" Sensei Wu scooped up a large amount of snow, throwing it hard at one of the students. "Students versus staff!"
"Is he serious!?" Cole yelped as he dodged a snowball that Mr. Monstruo formed came within inches of him.
Kai flipped away from another one that Mr. Stench flung towards him. "Looks like it... we need a strategy to get into our dorm room!"
Jay yelped, dropping to the ground as another snowball just about grazed his cheek. "Zane handles ammo, we use our suitcases as shields... and we go...NOW!" With that, the four friends charged forward, with Zane using his ice powers to form snowballs for them to use to get teachers away from them.
Jay squeaked in surprise as a snowball from Misako managed to smack him hard in the back. Crashing to the ground, he felt panic rise up as he wondered if this was the end for him when a snowball slammed into her, a Yeti's cold hand reaching out to pull him back up. "Thanks Z...Gunner!?" Jay blinked rapidly as he noticed that it was his one friend's childhood bully that was assisting him.
Gunner appeared to be having the time of his life with the way his eyes twinkled with excitement. "Come on! We can't let them get the upper hand on us!"
Jay decided to question what was going on later, sprinting to catch up with his friends who were in the school's doorway.
...
Jay sighed as he dropped the finished letter down, his gaze sweeping over the dorm room he shared with his friends. Cole was munching on a piece of peppermint chocolate cake that he somehow managed to save and bring with him, while Kai was scribbling out his answers for his science homework that he had been postponing all vacation. Zane was mediating on his bed, his expression thoughtful.
"I still wonder who threw that first snowball." Jay commented as he stretched luxuriously.
Kai shook his head as he looked up from the worksheet. "We'll probably never know..."
"Did you guys see Uncle Wu's face when I threw that snowball at him!?" Lloyd suddenly appeared in their dorm room, laughter shaking his entire tiny body.
"That was you!?" "Lloyd...you could have gotten us all in so much trouble with him!" The friends threw their pillows at the young dragon headless horseman hybrid, much to his surprise.
A/N: Done! Okay... next chapter I will do the Sleepover Disaster. Trust me on that one. It's more of a Christmas special though... but I guess with the monster theme going on in this story it'll work for a Halloween one shot. Um... can't think what else to say here... oh yeah! I have a guest that been reviewing lately... let me catch up on those reviews will quick...
Reviews (Past Chapters...):
Guest (Chapter One): A) He was pretty new to the different monster types at the moment and didn't know at the time... B) Go for it! I don't see why not!
Guest (Chapter Four): Glad that your OC was able to make some money there...
Guest (Chapter Six): I know right? He looks so much like his father!
Okay now for the Normal reviews:
ProfessorYeti: Uh...maybe this year I'll work some more Gunner scenes in. Starting today with an innocent snowball fight. Of course they hit it off! And I can picture Lou being like 'my son is so not going to that school if he can ovoid it. He'll go here instead.' So of course I wrote him like that. I work on this collection of one shots every year during October. Not sure if I'll ever really 'finish' it...if you catch what I mean. I mean come on... they can have so many fun adventures in this AU!
Nerdeology-000: Backstory..? I was supposed to have a backstory to how all of their parents met up...? Oops... They just know each other, let's just say that!
Bookkeeper77: If you like... I can do a dress like a human day so you can officially see how well it goes.
Kifo Entiegon: I know. Here's what happens next! Of course Lloyd knew! He's the pesky kid that happens to be related to the headmaster. He knew, and he thought/presumed that the others knew all of that as well. So learning they didn't know made him want a picture of his face. Gotta love kids.
