THE LONG NIGHT

AEGON

Aegon had been going about his day taking care of business for the realm, when one of the Queen's handmaidens came to fetch him. His Queen is with child. "You have made me the happiest man in the world." Aegon says kissing Margaery.

"I am happy as well, that I can make you a father."

They kiss and spend the rest of the day together. The next day Aegon and Daenarys prepare to leave for the North. The North and the Vale are better equipped to fight in the snow and cold than any other force in Westeros. The Riverland and Westerling forces will take up position at Moat Cailin in case the enemy got pass the wall. The rest will stay in King's Landing under the Hand's command.

"I want the Queen and all my Wards taken to Dragonstone. Send word throughout the realm…The small folk are to take shelter in the cities or castles of their lords…I want this posted throughout the realm…Anyone caught stealing will lose their hands…Anyone caught raping will lose their cocks and any Lord who takes advantage of the smallfolk during this time will lose their titles and lands…"

The King escorts his wife, the wards, and their servants to Draginstone and when they are settled he sails North with the fleet.

ARYA

Arya is in her cabin aboard a ship heading to White Harbor. She is alone and wargs into a falcon she makes fly North towards the Wall and Beyond. She lands in a tree as a huge Snow Storm slowly moves south. Through the bird she can sense the Night King influencing the storm as it drops snow on the already snow, covered lands beyond the wall.

"Aegon…Can you hear me?"

"Of course Arya what is it?"

"The Night King is coming…His forces have reached the Fist of the First Men."

"Cam you slow them down?"

"Not without a Heart-Tree to amplify my magic."

"I will command the fleet to sail on to Eastwatch…But Father's ship will have to stop at White Harbor with the Family."

"I warged White Harbor through a Sea Gull, Robb is two miles march from the city with his family and the rest of Winterfell."

Aegon signals to the fleet to sail on then he and Daenarys take to the skies on their Dragons. Arya is with him. They fly to Castle Black and when they arrive Arya disguised as a guard goes to the top of the wall. The magic in the wall is still strong. She kneels down placing her hands on the snow. The place she places her hands melts to the stones beneath. Arya's eyes start to glow as she chants reinforcing the magic in the stones of the wall. The wall starts glowing as well. The pitch in between the large stones glows from beneath the ice.

Two weeks after Arya, Aegon and Daenarys arrive the army shows up. But they do not have much time to rest as the Ice storm, clouds, and fog are a mile away from the wall. During the day the clouds blot out the sun and the fire in the braziers offer little to no warmth. "It is time Aegon." It is the first time Arya uses his Targaryen name.

"Right." He cuts his hand and drips it into the fireplace. The fire grows hotter and all the flames throughout Castle Black and the wall burn brightly. Then Aegon goes to the top of the wall, his dragon Rhodan is waiting outside of Castle Black with Wondar as the two Dragons are too big for the Courtyard. Soon the Night King and his army emerges from the forest.

Aegon gets his first look at the legend stairing down at the Night King and he stairing up at him. The Night King takes out an ice Spear and hurls it at Aegon. He draws his sword, leans to the side and breaks the spear as it sails pass him. Then the Night King pulls out the Horn of Winter and blows it. The wall shakes and starts to glow as the reinforced magic holds up against the Horn. With his mind Aegon summons his Dragon as the Night King and his army retreats into the forest.

He is joined by Daenarys and together they dive on the army of the dead. "Dracarys!" The two Dragon unleash a storm of fire on the forest and the Wights. Several ice spears are thrown from below, but Arya had placed spells of protection on the Dragons and the spears shatter a few feet from the Dragons.

Aegon flies to the top of the wall where Arya is waiting. "We won the first battle."

"Yes now we must hunt the Night King down and destroy him completely, if we are to win the war."

Later he meets with commanders of the Watch, the Lords of the North, and the Free Folk Elders to decide who would go North of the wall to hunt down the Night King and his Wights. Two days later Aegon leads a mixed force of Northmen, Knights of the Vale, Men of the Watch and Free Folk; the army is 96,000 strong. The majority of the force is made up of Free Folk.

Before leaving Aegon sends a message to his wife and family members. Daenarys remains at the wall with her Dragon just in case. After three days of marching the army stops to make camp. The path is cleared of snow by Aegon who channels his power through his sword to melt the ice. They rest for two days before moving on. Arya uses her magic to heal anyone who gets sick horse, man, or woman. Three days later they are attacked from all sides by Wights. Aegon dispels the attack with his power. Over a hundred men are lost, their bodies piled high and burned.

After everyone is fed and rested they march on. When they reach the fist of the first men they are attacked by Wights. Three times the Wights attack and three times Aegon and the army is able to repel them.

QUEEN MARGAERY

Queen Margaery Targaryen nee' Tyrell found Dragonstone to be a dreary place, so she decorated added tapestries with Dragon and flower designs; with the colors of Houses Targaryen and Tyrell. She also ordered flowers from High Garden. When she wasn't decorating Margaery looked over reports from the Hand Jon Arryn or she mothered the King's young ward. Steffon who missed his mother Cersei.

Not long after coming to Dragonstone Margaery receives a letter from her husband the King. Six weeks later she receives another stating that he is going beyond the wall to hunt the Night King and kill him. The days are long and dreary as the clouds cover the sky. Sometimes it snows and other times it does not. One week it snowed for seven days without stopping.

Margaery has her mother and brother to keep her company. Her brother Loras a member of the King's Guard. Ser Barristan also at her side. Then there was Tyrion who she was getting know when he wasn't with his Dragon. She found him to be very clever and intelligent; fun to be around. She learned to play Chess with him.

Three months pass by and on the morning of the last day of that third month a guard comes into the dining hall. "My Queen two Dragons fly overhead. The King has returned!" Margaery rushes to the throne room as fast as her swollen stomach will allow her. When she arrives in the throne room the King is waiting with Princess Daenarys.

"I missed you!"

"And I missed you more." He replies kissing her and then touching her stomach.

She starts patting his body for injuries, "Are you unharmed?"

"I am unblemished from the war."

Later they lay together and he tells her of the battles at the wall and beyond it. "I raised my sword, channeling my power through the blade and unleashed it. Many Wights died and then they fled…"

"I wish I could have seen that." She hears of his battles and hardships beyond the wall.

"And after many days I faced my foe, the Night King. He fought and fought and then I was able to shove my sword into his heart and destroy him. When the Night King was destroyed all the Wights and Walkers died as well."
