"Guys this is it, where we prove our worth as competent shinobi and get promoted to Chunin, I can't tell you all what's going to happen and I know it won't be easy but lets do our best out there alright" Sakura cheered, giving her teammates and friends a bit of a pep-talk.
Of course this not that she knew it made Haku fall even more in love with her than he already was "Wow Sakura you're turning out to be quite a motivational speaker" Karui elbowed her best friend lightly in the side with a grin.
Beside her, her own teammate nodded "Yeah and if your not careful boys are going to start asking you out" Omoi teased, a little bit behind the trio Karin looked at Haku when she felt the teenagers chakra spike.
Crimson irises rounded in understanding a moment later "So Haku how long have you liked Sakura-chan" Karin sidled up to the fifteen year old after making sure no one but Haku would hear her question.
Prompting the teen to splutter in surprise "How long have I what….that's not going to distract you is it, almost three weeks now" Haku sighed, knowing that he wouldn't get away with not admitting the truth.
Karin was to perceptive for that "Come on you two we're almost at the academy" Sakura interrupted Karin when she was about to say something no doubt, making them hurry forward to stand on either side of her.
Since Karui and Omoi had seen their own teammate and had headed in ahead of them "I feel a genjutsu" Karin said as they neared the building the first part of the Chunin Exams was taking part in and felt the chakra.
"It's probably meant to confuse test takers, weed out the weaker teams before they reach the exam room so I say we ignore the jutsu and avoid detection as much as possible" Haku suggested, taking a guess at the reasoning behind the genjutsu.
With that all three of them suppressed their chakra to nonexistent levels and entered the academy a minute later they reached the second floor, Sakura shook her head, glad that she was able to see through illusions.
Not tricked in the least she herded Karin and Haku down the hall away from the crowd who all thought they were on the third floor "That was to easy" Karin frowned, wondering if they would even be challenged during this exam.
But knowing what she knew Leaf could potentially make this exam easy for his shinobi and continue to baby it's genin who had never been in life or death situations like the three of them had been several times already during their short lives.
Haku nodded his agreement "Let us hope the actual exam poses more of a challenge than that otherwise becoming Chunin would have no meaning" Haku pointed out, use to harder challenges thanks to Zabuza.
Who had put him through rigorous training day in and day out "Very true" Sakura flashed him a quick smile as she rounded the corner to the exam room only to freeze when she saw who was stood at the end of the hall by the doors.
Fugaku straightened at their approach "I would say congratulations on making it this far but for someone who can sense chakra from miles away you probably already knew about the genjutsu before entering the academy" Fugaku stated.
Looking at Karin "Maybe not miles away Fugaku-sensei but I did feel the genjutsu right before we entered the building yes" Karin admitted not in the least bit ashamed of her natural and honed ability to sense things out.
"As I suspected then, in any case, once you pass beyond these doors there will be no backing out, I want to see you three blow my expectations away by all three of you making it to the final round of this exam understand" Fugaku declared.
Putting pressure on his students now "Don't worry Fugaku-sensei that was already our intention, tests have always been my thing" Sakura assured, confident in herself that she'd be able to ace the written portion of the exam.
The corner of his mouth lifted into a somewhat smile or it could have been a smirk for all they knew really "Well then I believe the only thing left to do is this" Fugaku pushed open the door next to him and held it so that Team Thirteen could enter the exam room.
On his way past Haku paused briefly "And I'll be sure to protect them should anything happen, those girls are special after all" Haku informed, Fugaku nodded in acceptance and then Haku sped up to walk even with his teammates again.
Immediately upon entering as the door shut behind them all eyes turned to the genin, assessing them, Karin feeling the agitated chakra urged Sakura and Haku over to a corner "Kami talk about intense for a second there" Sakura breathed.
When no one was paying them anymore attention "Hey look who I spotted" Karin whispered, gesturing to Team Seven crowded in different corner, coincidentally Sasuke happened to notice them at the same time.
A pleading look in his eyes so Team Thirteen walked over to the other team "Naruto is that you" Haku realized once they were crowded with Team Seven and found Naruto not wearing his usual bright orange monstrosity.
Instead the blonde was wearing a mesh shirt with a black jacket that had a white strip down each sleeve and dark blue pants "Yeah Sasuke came over early this morning with the outfit and insisted I change into it" Naruto explained.
Kinda digging his new look actually "Correction my Mom was the one who made me go over early and she was the one who gave me the outfit to give to you something about it being kind of like what someone she use to know wore all the time as a genin" Sasuke grunted quietly.
"Either way thanks to that we don't stand out to much" Nawaki chimed in, because Sasuke was wearing a black jumpsuit and he was wearing darker colors as well in order to blend in a little better courtesy of his sister.
Just then the door to the room opened again and Team Ten hurried in, Ino instantly spotted the two teams and rushed towards not Sasuke to his relief but Sakura "And here we were thinking that you'd not participate what a drag" Shikamaru groaned.
Not sure if it was a good idea to take part this time especially with Team Thirteen who would probably dominate the exams if he was being honest "Shush Shikamaru, Sakura, Haku and Karin have a right to try out same as us" Ino scowled.
Thankfully she wasn't being as loud as she usually was "Thanks Ino….by the way can we talk privately for a minute" Sakura snickered under her breath before turning serious, Ino nodded and let herself be led away.
For a moment Ino looked nervous as her best friend leaned in super close "Relax Ino I'm not going to do anything weird, just ask something pretty big of you and in return I'll let you ask a favor of me just as big okay" Sakura whispered.
When her lips were almost touching Ino's ear because she didn't want anyone else to overhear this conversation "Okay I'm listening what do you want to ask of me" Ino straightened, feeling silly for mistaking Sakura's intentions.
Sakura pulled back and looked around warily then leaned in close again "I know neither of us are on your team Ino but I'm willing to let you use your mind transfer jutsu on me to cheat so long as you transfer the answers to Naruto who needs the help" Sakura explained.
Ino first crinkled her nose in dislike then when she saw that Sakura was serious about this sighed "You owe me though I guess you already had counted on the fact that I would want something myself when you asked this favor of me" Ino huffed.
"Anything you want Ino and I'll do it" Sakura smiled as they wandered back over to their teams and found Team Eight had joined the group of rookies which was starting to garner attention from the older genin in the room.
Her senses were on a trigger so when Sakura spotted someone heading straight towards Team Seven and watched how Karin went completely rigid next to Haku, she stepped forward in the guys path.
Even if he was wearing a Leaf hitai-ate, anyone who could get that kind of reaction out of Karin meant there was something seriously wrong with the person "No, go back to your teammates" Sakura shook her head.
Meeting the gray haired teenagers gaze and leaked KI at him, he paused then thought better about approaching and turned around "Your scary when you want to be huh Sakura" Choji commented, chowing down on a bag of chips.
The pinkette nodded "Thanks Sakura-nee, I got a bad vibe from his chakra and really didn't want him near me or any of us for that matter" Karin attached herself to her adoptive sister, glad that Sakura was as observant as she usually was.
Observant enough to pick up on her responses to nearly everything "Nee what gives you two don't look alike in the least so why'd you call her sister" Kiba spluttered, still confused despite this being his second meeting with Team Thirteen now.
Haku sighed "Karin's adopted by Sakura, they've spent the last four almost five years as sisters to one another, the Raikage helped them" Haku explained, getting tired of standing around and waiting for the first exam to start.
Kiba blinked "I o..overheard that N..Neji-nii-san tr..tried to attack you in Ya..Yakiniku Q and I a..apologize for it" Hinata suddenly bowed, stuttering worse than ever as she apologized for her cousins actions from a week ago.
"That's not your responsibility Hinata, Neji should apologize himself because he was the one who attacked us unprovoked" Sakura waved the apology off, not wanting it to come from someone who'd done no wrong.
Pale eyes widened in surprise and Kiba mumbled something under his breath about her being a weirdo "Haruno-san does make a point Hinata, why because you are not accountable for your cousins actions" Shino announced.
Not sparing a glance to see who else had entered the exam room when the door opened for what sounded like the millionth time, Sakura leaned comfortably against the wall and closed her eyes looking to all the room as if she was asleep.
Until Karin nudged her five minutes later "I think the proctor is coming" Karin murmured and she was right because a minute later there was a large explosion of smoke at the front of the room and out of the smoke came people all dressed in gray.
Except for one, he was massive and wearing all black "Pipe down and listen up you baby faced degenerates I'm Ibiki Morino and from this point on your worst nightmare so line up, get a number and take a seat in that order before I explain the rules of the written test" Ibiki barked.
Reflexively Sakura moved to follow the orders they'd been given on her heels were Karin and Haku followed by Teams Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten and Eleven and the rest of the exam takers in the room.
Before they found themselves all spread out with tests facing down on the desks in front of them, Ibiki quickly told them the rules and how long they would have before he gave out the tenth question "Begin" Ibiki declared.
Taking a seat at the desk and focusing all his attention on the genin brats as they picked up their tests and started frantically scribbling down answers, not that it took very long for most of them to figure out that this test was practically designed so they would have to cheat.
Or so he thought as he glanced at one of the brats under Fugaku Uchiha's command and found that she wasn't even attempting to cheat, the rosette kept her eyes glued to her own test, while her hand flew across the paper, decoding the answers with minimal effort.
A look told him that the redhead and the raven of Team Thirteen were doing the same, though Ibiki did note that the Uzumaki girl was having a bit more trouble than her teammates on answering the questions, she was keeping up well enough.
All without cheating a single time, his gaze came back to the pinkette who had finally set her pencil down obviously done and was now resting her head on the desk, face buried in her arms and covering her test at the same time.
It was smart of her really to prevent anyone from cheating off her, just then his attention was draw away as three teams were disqualified for having been caught cheating five times, allowing Ino her chance to use the mind transfer jutsu on Sakura.
Quickly the blonde memorized the answers to all completed questions then returned to her own body, she scratched down the answers on her own test first before taking a deep breath and aiming her jutsu at Naruto this time.
Who hadn't written down a single answer 'Suppose Sakura was right if Naruto failed then Sasuke-kun doesn't get to advance' Ino inwardly sighed as she began hurriedly answering the questions for Naruto.
Four minutes later she was done and back in her own body only to transfer her soul into Shikamaru then finally Choji so they would have all the answers as well before sitting back to relax for the remaining time they had.
Then before they all knew it, it was time for the final question, "So what will it be, will you take the risk of failing and never getting promoted or quit here and get another chance at the exam six months from now" Ibiki smirked.
Leaking his killing intent at the genin, four teams stood and left unwilling to risk their chances of being promoted, some brats however weren't easily intimidated take the pink haired brat for instance as she yawned wearing a bored expression on her face.
He saw the same expressions on the red haired brat and raven haired brats to while no one else moved to leave "Are you sure…." Ibiki prodded wanting them to be sure of their decision, again no one moved a muscle.
Intent clear they weren't going anywhere "Congratulations then everyone in this room has now progressed to the second round of the Chunin Exams" Ibiki clapped grudgingly, knowing that Anko wouldn't like the full room she would have to deal with.
With that he launched into his prepared spiel only to be interrupted by his subordinate busting her way into the exam room through the window "Listen up you maggots I'm Anko Mitarashi your proctor for the next round" Anko greeted.
Some genin flinched at the sight of the insane woman making her take notice of how many genin were actually left after the written portion of the exam "What gives Morino, you let to many pass, eh no matter when I'm through with them there will be less than half left" Anko grumbled.
A smirk stretching across her face making her look even more crazy as she led the remaining exam takers from the academy and across the village "This here is the Forest of Death where the survival round will take place tomorrow show up at 0800 hours or be disqualified" Anko warned.
Pointing to the forest behind her before waving her hands dismissively and shooing the brats off "Ugh that test was a pain to decode" Omoi complained now that they were free to do what they wanted until tomorrow.
So he took the chance to rejoin Team Thirteen "Though I'm sure it was easy for Sakura and Karin, Haku to maybe" Karui said, looking at her friends who nodded all three of them but before they could head back to the house.
They were interrupted by a puff of smoke "I'm glad I caught you, Father extends an invitation to stay at the house tonight you three" Itachi explained when the smoke dissipated allowing them to see who was blocking their path.
Karui sighed inwardly in frustration "We'll be there Itachi-san" Karin assured, right now though all she wanted to do was get home and de-stress for awhile then eat lunch before preparing for the survival round.
Itachi bowed his head in response and was gone a second later in a flurry of crow feathers "Cool, but it sucks you have to spend the night elsewhere" Omoi sulked some now that they could continue on their way.
"Nothing we can do about it really one doesn't simply ignore an offer from the Uchiha Patriarch after all" Haku reminded "Plus he did tell us that team dinners were mandatory every three weeks" he added as an afterthought.
Remembering the rule Fugaku had put in place for them when they'd accepted him as their official sensei "Wicked Eye Fugaku is your sensei" Karui spluttered at Haku's admission, clearly knowing who the Uchiha Clan Head was.
His profile was in the bingo book and they'd been made to study that as reading material for a class "Mhm I mentioned it in our last letter to you" Sakura nodded, unlocking the door to her house and letting them all in.
Where she collapsed into her favorite armchair upon entering the living room, Haku chuckled softly and claimed the spot closest to her, steadfastly ignoring Karin's knowing smile that spread across her lips at his actions.
For the next hour or so the five of them sat in utter silence just relaxing until Sakura decided that she'd sat still long enough and pushed herself back up onto her feet and entered the kitchen to make lunch for everyone.
By the time they were actually done eating it was fifteen minutes past noon "Guess now would be the best time to figure out what we're taking into the forest" Haku declared, once they were back in the living room.
Sakura tapped her chin in thought "Non-perishable stuff I suppose, we don't want to have fires that could draw enemy attention and hunting would take to long in unfamiliar surroundings, plus we don't know what we're going in the forest for or how long we'll be in there" Sakura said.
"You know sometimes I wish I knew how your brain worked Onee-chan" Karin sighed, feeling exhausted all over again, Sakura shrugged lightly in response not sure what to tell the redhead to be honest.
As they prepared their packs "Hey you don't mind if we kind of copy off you guys do you, I mean with the non-perishable foods and stuff like that" Omoi questioned, when Team Thirteen rolled up some extra clothes and put them in the packs to.
Karin waved her hand indicating that they didn't mind in the least "Right, we'll see you tomorrow at the Forest of Death then" Karui announced when it was time for her friends to go, leaving them alone in the house for the night.
"Here Karui, it's a spare key, so that you can lock up in the morning and we'll see you both tomorrow" Sakura handed over an extra key that she'd had made for the house, Omoi waved them off as they hurried down the streets to the Uchiha Compound.
Unlike before Sasuke wasn't waiting for them this time, they were merely let through the gates by the guards who'd been forewarned that they were coming, ten minutes later Team Thirteen arrived at their destination the Main Family House.
Mikoto greeted them in the foyer "I'm so glad to see you again Sakura-chan, Karin-chan, Haku-chan, dinners not quite ready so you can go ahead and join Sasuke-chan and his teammates out back since they were also invited to stay the night" Mikoto informed.
After hugging the girls with that she gestured them on through into the house and out back "Didn't know you guys were going to be here to" Nawaki commented when he saw the trio exiting the house and walking towards them.
"Either way I'm glad that whatever you did got Ino to help me out during the test Sakura-chan" Naruto hugged onto Sakura briefly, then quickly let go because he knew that's all she would allow him to get away with nowadays.
Sakura smiled "Just asked a favor is all, though I do owe her in return it's not a big deal" the pinkette shrugged, Naruto huffed at her in exasperation but said nothing more on the subject as the six of them lounged.
Before Itachi fetched them for dinner "Father I thought you'd still be working" Sasuke said when he noticed his father sitting at the head of the table, clearly not having expected the man to be there for dinner that night.
Since he was so often absent "Good thing I finished my paperwork ahead of time then huh Sasuke, not to mention it would have been poor manners to invite my students here only to be absent during our team dinner wouldn't it" Fugaku smirked.
Enjoying the slight chaos that occurred after his admission "Why are you all the time trying to give me a heart attack" Sasuke groaned, tempted to bash his head against the table out of pure frustration.
Karin snickered quietly under her breath "Forgive us Sasuke, we didn't know that you didn't know but now you do" Karin apologized even as her crimson irises twinkled mischievously at the second Uchiha heir.
Next to his brother Itachi bit back a smile of amusement at the genin's antics, Mikoto had no qualms about laughing at her youngest son "Look on the bright side Sasuke-chan now your Father will be around a little more" Mikoto giggled.
Ruffling Sasuke's unruly hair gently before dishing out the food, Fugaku dug in first as usual before everyone else dug in "Mm" Haku hummed to himself, happy that he was able to enjoy meals with people that actually cared about him.
"Can I ask how your trading company is coming along Sakura-chan, Karin-chan, Haku-chan" Mikoto questioned when dinner had been thoroughly devoured and her husbands genin had helped her wash up all the dishes.
Where after they all congregated into the living room for some downtime "Really good actually, Karin's got her extracts and oils out on the market now and all three of us are writing books to publish" Haku admitted.
Itachi raised a single ebony brow "What all are you selling now, I know about the senbon, shuriken and kunai, along with the medical kits and perfume and poison sprays and salves" Itachi inquired more curious now.
"Ah Sakura-chan's letting a traveling merchant sell clothes she hand makes and Haku's got handmade fish and bear jerky on the market, we haven't had much time for anything else yet since we want to get the books out first before expanding our merchandise again" Karin explained.
Fugaku nodded in acceptance pleased that things were progressing well for Team Thirteen "That all sounds really cool and stuff" Naruto piped in, happy for his friends, deep down though he felt slightly jealous even if he'd never admit it.
Jade orbs focused on the Uzumaki but the owner of those eyes kept silent for the time being "I think on that note we should probably head to bed and get some sleep so that we can all wake up early tomorrow morning in order to arrive at the forest on time" Nawaki suggested.
Having seen the look Sakura had cast Naruto a minute ago and was able to guess at what she was thinking about and what the end result would be "Nawaki's right" Sakura agreed with the straw blonde preteen.
And soon after the six of them were in guest rooms besides Sasuke, laying down on the comfortable beds and going to sleep for the night only to wake early, shower and dress then eat breakfast before heading out to participate in the second round of the Chunin Exams.
Less than two minutes past 8, their proctor Anko showed up "Like I said yesterday this here is Training Ground Forty Four otherwise known as the Forest of Death and soon your gonna find out why" Anko smirked.
No one spoke not even Naruto as the woman explained their objective which was to get a pair of Heaven and Earth scrolls and make it to the Tower in the center of the forest within a five day time limit "Of course we'll have you sign waivers so I'm not held accountable if you die in there" Anko said.
Producing a stack of papers to pass out to all the genin that had passed the first round when Team Thirteen got theirs, Karin hesitated "You okay Imouto" Sakura saw the redhead's unusual hesitation and frowned.
"Got a really bad feeling all of a sudden is all, that's not enough to make me back out though" Karin whispered, glancing around warily but couldn't spot anything out of the ordinary as she placed her pencil to the paper and signed it.
Haku and Sakura did the same "Okay I propose Sakura carries our scroll" Haku suggested so the rosette took their waivers up to the booth and got in line behind Nawaki who'd been nominated the scroll carrier for Team Seven.
Due to a curtain no one behind the person in front of them knew what each team would be carrying making it that much harder to locate the scroll they would need to complete their goal in the forest.
There was also the matter of being assigned gates that were far apart from one another around the entirety of the Forest of Death "Well that might be a problem, I know I could seek those guys out but we have no idea which gate their coming into the forest through" Karin frowned.
Sakura wasn't to worried though "I can send Amin to find out that information" Sakura informed, weaving hand signs to summon her summons where she sent Amin off to find Team Seven and come back with their gate number.
"How about that, guess their not to far away after all" Haku chuckled, relieved that things seemed to be falling into place for them, just then a buzzer sounded and their gate creaked eerily as it swung open admitting them into the forest.
Team Thirteen took a deep breath as a whole then darted forward, gate shutting behind them, before with Karin in the lead turned left and ran full speed ahead, unfortunately someone else had decided that the team would be an easy target.
Karin had to skid to a halt hastily to avoid getting knocked off her feet when a ninja from the Hidden Rain Village dropped down in front of her "Hand over your scroll" the Amegakure genin demanded.
With his hand held out for their earth scroll "Eh I'm gonna have to pass on that, Haku all yours" Sakura declared, moving out of the way and dragging Karin with her, Haku shook his head but threw his senbon with deadly accuracy.
Hitting that spot in the neck that put people in false death states "Thanks for your contribution on helping us pass this round easily, not that you can hear me" Haku smirked as he rifled through the guys pouch and emerged with a Heaven scroll.
So right off the bat they already had their pair of scrolls needed to head straight to the tower but a promise was a promise so Team Thirteen continued on their way to meet up with Team Seven who'd had their own Amegakure genin encounter.
"Geez what took you so long I thought you'd have been here before now" Sasuke breathed a sigh of relief when the trio dropped down out of the tree next to Naruto who jumped a little despite having expected them to show up at some point.
"Sorry Sasuke, we got a little held up by another genin from Ame, lucky us this guy was carrying a scroll so all you need is your second scroll and then we can head straight to the tower" Karin apologized.
Sasuke choked in surprise "You really are lucky cause we had an encounter just like you a minute ago before you showed up but I'm making a guess in saying that the guy you faced was the teammate to the guy who tried to impersonate Naruto" Nawaki sighed.
Patting his storage pouch that he'd been given as a souvenir from Iron to assure himself that the Heaven scroll he'd received was still there "Come on we should probably get a move on before another team decides we're an easy target" Naruto called.
Ready to forge ahead into the forest that even gave him the creeps all of them unaware of what lay ahead until it was to late when they stopped hours later for a quick break and Naruto decided that he needed to go to the bathroom.
After they came up with a password to use upon Naruto's return, Karin tensed "Your not Naruto" Karin accused, able to tell thanks to her advanced senses, Nawaki who was closest to the impersonator the second on that day jumped away quickly.
Nearly tripping until Karin grabbed his hand and yanked him towards her "Very interesting I didn't expect to be sussed out so quickly" in a poof of smoke was stood a Kusagakure shinobi who had to much chakra to be considered a genin.
Karin trembled in fear knowing there was no way even the six of them would be able to take this lady down "Bitch what the hell did you do with Naruto" Sakura lunged fists swinging only to have her attack dodged.
The ground imploded beneath her fist creating a three foot long fissure "Oh Naruto-kun I wouldn't worry about him anymore, I'm afraid he's met his demise at the hands of my snakes" the woman cackled madly.
Sakura grit her teeth and charged at the kunoichi again "Nawaki you have our scroll, go find Naruto, rescue him, take Karin with you" Sasuke ordered, Karin forced herself to stop shaking and focus on finding Naruto.
"Good luck Sasuke, Sakura, Haku" Nawaki prayed as he and Karin ran in the direction the redhead felt the blondes chakra leaving their best fighters behind to face the insane Kusagakure kunoichi who probably didn't need to be in the exam if he was honest.
Meanwhile Sakura had continued her attempts of physically attacking their current opponent "Hmm not so easily affected by KI are you mouse" the woman intoned curiously, green eyes flashed like hardened emerald at him.
Filled with such fury and leaking her own killing intent "Out of the way Sakura" Haku called when he was finished preparing his jutsu knowing that she'd been attacking to distract the enemy from what he was doing.
Crystal ice mirrors surrounded the kunoichi from grass and Sakura escaped through the small opening to stand by Sasuke as he merged with his jutsu in order to pelt the woman with multiple throwing needles.
Unfortunately for the three of them this was one enemy that Haku couldn't take down as she shattered the ice mirrors with her chakra alone, Haku barely managed to get out in time not that he was safe as a tongue wrapped around his ankle.
And threw him into a tree "HAKU" Sakura yelled as the fifteen year old slid to the ground in a heap, he didn't respond indicating he was unconscious making her torn on what to do, until Sasuke nudged her in the side.
"I'll fight her go tend to Haku" Sasuke urged, very aware that this woman had all of them outclassed by a landslide right now though Sakura was depending on him to fend the kunoichi off for a while so that she could heal Haku.
On that note Sasuke closed his eyes and took a fortifying breath, steeling his nerves at the same time, then opened his eyes not aware that he'd awakened his sharingan in this life or death moment before attacking.
The fight went about as he suspected, though Sasuke did try his best to stall for as long as possible, enough that Karin and Nawaki returned with a passed out Naruto hung between them but this enemy was to tough for them.
As Sasuke was brought to his knees everyone watched in horror as the kunoichi flashed through hand signs and extended her neck, Sakura was the first to realize who the woman was aiming at stood, unsealing Shūryō suru.
Quickly unsheathing her sword Sakura leaped high into the air swinging her blade intending on cutting through the bitches neck at the last moment however when her weapon was about to make contact with the Kusa-nin's flesh.
She swerved her neck avoiding the potentially deadly blow and latched onto Sakura's arm instead, sinking her teeth into the pinkette's flesh "Little mouse shouldn't have interfered no matter it will be interesting to see how you use what was suppose to be a gift for Sasuke-kun if you survive it anyway" the woman cackled.
Karin only saw red however as her sister dropped her treasured possession and let out the most agonized screams "You bitch" Karin shouted rushing after the enemy who'd done something to Sakura what that was she didn't know however.
Chains sprouted from her back, sailing after that Kusa-nin but it was to late as the woman escaped, the chains receded and Karin hurried to Sakura's side who was still screaming, clutching tightly to Sasuke's hand most likely crushing his finger bones.
"MARK MY WORDS I'LL HUNT YOU TO THE ENDS OF THIS EARTH AND WHEN I FIND YOU I'M GOING TO KILL YOU" Sakura screamed, in the most pain that she'd ever been in, in her entire life.
It was a struggle to just stay awake through the intense agony she felt, tears leaked from her eyes and a sob escaped from her throat "Tell us what to do to help please Sakura" Sasuke begged unable to stand seeing the normally head strong girl brought down like this.
Sweat was beading on her forehead and rolling down her face "The burning in my skin make it stop please" Sakura pleaded forcing herself to stay awake though all she wanted to do was pass out she knew that wasn't the best idea.
A moment later Karin thrust her arm in her face she was about to shake her head when the redhead gave her a look that basically said do it "I'll be okay I promise, we just need you to be okay now" Karin assured.
Unable to argue Sakura gently bit down on Karin's wrist in the same place as before then sucked lightly to take in some of Karin's chakra, Sasuke, Nawaki and the awake Naruto and Haku watching on in horror.
But when Sakura pulled back it was clear not even Karin's special ability had been enough to help the rosette as she clutched her stomach, the pain to much that she accidentally lost control over her bladder before finally passing out.
Team Seven looked absolutely sick to their stomachs "Maybe we should pull out of this exam, we didn't sign up for this to happen" Haku stated, bending to scoop Sakura into his arms, ignoring the urine smell and wet clothes of his crush.
"For now we should find a place so that she can rest and Karin can get her out of those soiled clothes" Nawaki suggested, shoving back the urge to puke, thankfully everyone agreed with him on that as they continued on into the forest.
Until coming across a large hollowed out tree him helping Naruto along who had been eaten by a snake and there was this thought nagging at him that he knew someone who used snakes like that but the name wouldn't come to him just yet.
Despite it being on the tip of his tongue "I just hope Sakura-chan will wake up soon" Naruto sighed once their resting spot was protected by several traps courtesy of Haku and Karin, he wasn't the only one who hoped that as they tried to get some rest for the night.
