When we awoke, we got ready for the day. My new clothes were strange to me, mostly because of my growing stomach. Next was Besaid.
We gathered on the deck, as the ship left the port. Braska bowed to the people, and I watched on. After a while, I started to feel sick and took to our cabin. As soon as I laid down, the ship started to rock harder. This worried me, so I got up and started for the door. That is when Jecht ran in.
"Braska says you are to stay down here and I am to guard you. I am not to let you go up there at all. So sit down and be ready to wait." Jecht huffed.
"Why? What is happening?" I yelled over the sound of waves crashing against the ship. Jecht shook his head, and blocked the door. That is when I heard the screams. Sin.
My heart raced thinking that Braska was out there without me. And facing Sin no less. I tried to get past Jecht, but he blocked me every time. I begged and pleaded for Jecht to let me pass. But he wouldn't.
Time passed, and I couldn't do anything. It was eating me inside. Jecht tried comforting me, but I knew something was wrong. After half an hour, there was a pounding at the door.
"Roselyn! Braska needs you!" Auron's voice called out. That is when Jecht let me open the door. I rushed to the deck to find Braska laying on the deck, injured.
"What happened!?" I cried as I started a massive healing spell. Jecht and Auron had joined me by the time I was done and we watched as the spell started to heal him.
Braska was weak when he awoke, and barely pointed to Auron. That is when I noticed that he was injured as well. I motioned him over to me so that I wouldn't have to leave Braska's side. He walked over to me, and I readied another healing spell for him.
After healing them both, I rounded on Auron.
"What happened? And why was I kept out of it?" I yelled. Auron then told me that Sin had appeared out of the sea after I had went below. Braska told Jecht to protect me and keep me below. They fought what they could, and protected some of the people on the ship. Then Braska got hit by a Sinspawn that ended up on the deck. Auron tried to protect him and defeat the Sinspawn, but didn't do a good job of it.
Once the Sinspawn was defeated, Auron came to get me. I was pissed. When Braska could talk, I asked him why he locked me out of the battle.
"I wanted to protect you and our child. You healed us, that is all I wanted you to do." Braska muttered.
