Chapter Eleven, The Wall
Jon sighed as he placed the mirror down. He'd just finished a mirror call with Theon who was travelling with Oberyn Martell and a troupe of fifty skilled swordsman, including Oberyn's daughters and some Dothraki, as they were brining prisoners to The Wall which included the Kingslayer. They would be here shortly and he needed to go and let Commander Mormont know, he was feeling rather weary at the moment as he knew his time to sit on the Iron Thrine was nearing and he was nervous. But apparently according to his uncle Maester Aemon, Commander Mormont and his little sister Morgana that was a good sign. His mirror started vibrating again on his desk just as there was a knock on his door.
"Come in." Jon called sparing a glance at the mirror that was flashing violet signalling Morgana was calling.
"Jon?" Sam's voice called as he opened the door.
"What's the matter, Sam?" Jon asked looking up from the mirror.
"I was wondering if...is that Morgana calling you?" Sam asked curiously seeing the violet flashing mirror.
"Yes. Could you do me a favour and take this to Commander Mormont." Jon said as he quickly scribbled a note telling him the prisoners will be here soon.
"Of course." Sam agreed as he took the note from Jon. "Maestor Aemon sent me to find you."
"Thank you. I'll be there in a moment, I'll just see what Morgana wants." Jon replied.
"Alright. Send her my regards." Sam said leaving the room knowing Jon wanted privacy to talk to his sister.
"Morgana." Jon said answering the call.
"Hi Jon," Morgana said smiling at her older brother. "Did I interrupt something?"
"No, I was just asking Sam to tell Commander Mormont that Theon will be here soon. What's wrong?" Jon asked a frown marring his features.
"Nothing. I just thought you'd like to meet your nieces. As you were outside of The Wall." Morgana said as she turned the mirror around showing Jon his three nieces all of whom were sleeping in their cradles.
"Ana, they're beautiful but they're so small." Jon said worriedly.
"They're fine. They came early but they're fine I promise. Jon, I had a vision." Morgana said a look in her eye what Jon didn't like one bit.
"What was it?" He asked not sure whether he wanted to know or not.
"You need to get the Free Folk this side of The Wall. If you don't his army will become larger and they'll be almost unstoppable. We need to get as much Dragonglass as we can, it's the only thing that kills them. Robb has sent Stanis to gather as much as he could from his home, but the majority of it is beyond the wall." Morgana explained.
"Don't worry Ana. I'll speak to Commander Mormont now. You are my little sister Ana and I will never let anything happen to you or to my nieces I promise." Jon swore. He, Robb and Theon has all vowed to do what was right by Ana and listen to her visions, unlike his uncle Eddard who had failed to heed her warnings and look what happened to him.
The pair spoke for a little while longer before they both had to go as Ana had to feed her daughters and Jon had to go see both Commander Mormont and their uncle Maestor Aemon before Theon arrived. Jon was relieved that Arya had finally come home but he couldn't believe how stubborn and childish Sansa was being, though she has always been like that thanks to Catlyn. You would've thought seeing your father get beheaded in front of you would make her realise what was really happening, but no. But then, Catlyn had tried to free the Kingslayer which is why she is coming here to work in the kitchens as she couldn't be trusted anymore. Maybe they were both just idiotic, he didn't know. Whatever it was he had other things going on that needed his complete attention then those that refused to listen.
Sorry for short chapter.
