Situation: A birth on the highway
Stephanie (serving as DJ's midwife): Push again, DJ, push
DJ (putting pressure on the baby and herself): AHA..AHA
Stephanie: You have given birth before. You can do this.
DJ (tired, she falls back into Manny's arms): Whenever will my ordeal be over?
Manny (providing extra support for DJ): I got you, baby
DJ (attempting to push again): AHA...AHA..AHA
Stephanie: Thats a strong push, DJ. Keep up with the good work.
DJ (crying and praying to God): Please give me strength, Lord
Manny (applying pressure to DJ's stomach): The Lord will answer your prayers
(Eventually DJ delivers Faith who is born with both Down Syndrome and a heart condition)
Time Period: The Present Reality
Place: The Hospital
Manny (frantic, he runs into the hospital carrying an unconscious baby Faith): Help! My baby Faith is not breathing. My wife and I found her unresponsive in her crib.
A nurse (taking a hold of Faith): I will take care of her
DJ (emotional): Thanks
(Moments later Faith is pronounced dead. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and heart failure caused her early death. DJ and her husband struggle to move forward).
