The second poll is now closed, with a unanimous result with all three votes (once again disappointed with that number) for Arcane Slayer.
My snow elf character will thus use a fighting style based on DMC's Vergil, using an akaviri katana and teleportation magic.
Full disclosure, I've always found katanas to be bizarre. They're technically classified as two-handed sabers, but when compared to other two-handed sabers around the world the blade is too short, the handle is too long, and the center mass of the sword is in the middle of the blade rather than just off the guard.
I mean... I realize the reasons why that is, steel was rare in Japan and they had to make the most with what they had. the effectiveness of samurai as warriors was more due to their knowledge of the katanas limitations and skill as swordsman rather than because of the quality of their swords.
They're not bad swords though, don't get me wrong, but they're definitely not the best in the world. The German Kriegsmesser is actually my favorite sword.
Moving on, my character will not start the story with this fighting style, and will most likely make his own katana (with a much longer blade and shorter handle) upon advancing the Blades questline.
