"I'm sorry love I'm just not feeling it tonight?" He climbed off her, lying down next to his astonishing girlfriend, was she his girlfriend? Could he call her that? She's carrying his kids, he's allowed he told himself
"Oh.. is it about the babies?" She looked to him, his face turning to look away as she stroked his chin
"Baby if you don't want these babies then.." she laid on her side looking to him, his head turning to look at her again
"I just don't know how you can be so calm about this it's twins!" He shouted, his eyes filled with fear
"Just because I'm calm doesn't mean I am inside.. I'm terrified but I don't know it's just one extra baby and if we've got each other" she said softly, kissing him
"I love you, you know that?" He said, stroking her hair and kissing her back
She climbed on top of him and laid down on his chest, running her finger along his chest as he rubbed her back "you do want to do this don't you? Cause I'd understand if you left me.." she said
"What? Of course I do love, it's just a shock" he replied
She nodded gently before sitting up
He held her waist and she began to get up "I've got to go get Lilli.." she began putting her clothes back on
"Well why can't my dad have her for tonight.. we can some quality time together" he pleaded as she put her jacket on, the bump peeking out from under the top as she raises her arms
"She's never had a sleepover before and with a new grandad? Don't think that'll go down well" she smiled, kissing Peter before walking out
He smiled, laying there watching as she walked out of the house
Half hour later she walked back in with Lilli over her shoulder, sparko she dropped the bags and walked into Simon's room, slowly switching the light on and pulling the duvet on his bed back, she remembers when it was just her, Peter and Simon
Lilli mumbled and stirred, waking up at the brightness of the light as Carla laid her down in bed "sorry baby" she said softly, unstrapping her daughters black sneakers and dropping them on the floor
Her daughter rolled over and mumbled more, starting to cry as Carla took her pink thin coat off, dropping it to the floor aswell, Peter stood by the door
Carla picked Lilli up and sat down on the bed, cradling her close, she didn't care the fact she's 4, she's always going to be her baby, Lilli's arms wrapped around Carla's neck as Carla looked up at Peter, a gentle smile as Lilli fell asleep
As Carla went to lie her down again Lilli screamed out, crying and she looked to Peter
"Go to bed.. I'll be there soon she just needs to adjust to the new environment" she said softly to which Peter nodded and went to bed
By next morning Carla hadn't come to bed, Peter woke up, getting up to find her and opening Simon's door seeing Carla asleep with Lilli in her arms he smiled softly at how much she cares for her daughter
Lilli stirred and rolled over, running over to pick his daughter up as she went to wake Carla up, Peter took her into the kitchen as she cried
"Sh.. mummy's sleeping, she didn't sleep much because somebody was crying half the night" he smiled as he sat on the worktop and she stopped crying
She rubbed her eyes and yawned "I'm hungry.." she said softly
An hour later Carla walked into the lounge with a groan to see Peter and Lilli sat at the table eating toast
"Mummy!" Lilli called out running over to Carla as she picked her up groaning at how heavy she is which made her giggle
"You shouldn't be picking her up whilst you're pregnant.." Peter said worried
"Peter I'm 9 weeks pregnant I doubt that much would happen" she smiled
"Still.. you should be taking it easy" he ripped a piece off his toast with his teeth and chewed on it in a stop
"Darling go finish your toast" she said and put Lilli down before coming over and massaging Peter's shoulders
"Baby I'm fine" she said before wrapping her arms around him and kissing his cheek to which he rubbed her arm
"I'm sorry baby it's just after last time" he looked up at her
She took a deep breath and ran her fingers through her hair "last time was just a scare.. we've got this little one now" she said before tickling Lilli who squealed and screamed
"Let's get a place.." he said as Carla sat down
"What?" She said as she poured her coffee making sure it's brewed first
"Let's buy a new place, bigger than this so lilli has her own room, si can if he wants it and the twins" Peter smiled
Carla's face sunk into a frown which caused Peter to become confused
"What.. no, we agreed to take things slow" she said, putting the coffee down
"Well yeah I know love but we can't be staying here forever.." he said
"Good job we won't be then isn't it!" She snapped before walking off into the bedroom
"Now what does that mean!?" He stood up, shouting after her
Lilli watched on as she finished her toast, Simon walked in to see Peter running his fingers through his hair
"You and Carla had another argument?" He said
"What no?" Peter said with a chuckle
"Whatever.." Simon said, picking Lilli up and walking off in his bedroom
"Si!" Peter said before sitting on the sofa and taking a deep breath, he forgot Lilli was there
Lilli looked up at her big brother, worry in her face
"It's ok, I promise I won't let them argue again in front of you.." he smiled and sat her on the bed
She looked at him and gave him a tight hug to which he immediately smiled and hugged her back, he had a baby sister, he didn't know it till a few months ago but he's grown to love the idea now
