Forgotten
Chapter 25: Forgotten No More
After Danny and Star's kiss ended, they remained that way, looking in each other's eyes for a long time, much like how their first official kiss in the Ghost Zone went three months ago, only much, much better.
It felt like fireworks were going off on the inside as the two teens kissed. After about a minute they pulled away. Once again, both teens had smitten smiles on their faces as they looked into each others eyes.
"So..."Danny spoke up, with the same tone and smile after they first confessed to each other.
Like last time, Star did not let him go as she giggled and blushed like crazy.
"So..."She said, still giggling.
"Well...uh..."Danny began, still had that grin on his face.
"That happened..."Star finished for him and Danny blushed once more.
"Yeah..."
"Yeah..."
"Uh-huh..."
It was almost an exact recreation and both teens ended up laughing together. After a moment, they calmed down and Danny smiled as he felt a warm feeling inside him which got stronger as he felt his heart beat faster around her.
"I love you, Danny. I truly do..."Star said, once again meaning it.
"I love you too, Starlight..."Danny replied before he hugged her again.
Star smiled, happy that he was back to normal and he loves her!
"Star..."Danny said, still smiling and holding onto her.
"Danny..."Star whispered back before kissing him once again.
However, the blissful kissing was cut short when they remembered that their friends were still fighting their enemies and Amity Park was STILL infested with ghosts who were causing trouble. They were reminded thanks to a loud explosion coming from up the road.
Danny began to feel worried about the others.
So did Star.
They shared a look.
"We should go..."Danny said.
"Are you sure that you're up for another fight so soon, Danny-Boo?..."Star asked him, feeling concern.
"You know me, Starlight. I can't ignore a person in danger..."Danny said before offering her a hand.
Once she took it, Danny turned to Star.
"Shall we, milady?..."Danny asked and Star giggled.
"Sure..."Star said with a nod.
Danny soon picked her up bridal style and the two of them soon were off to rejoin their team. Despite the tense situation, Star was enjoying the feeling of being back in Danny's arms
"Hang on guys, we're coming!..."They both thought as they rushed to go help their friends and show everyone that Danny's memories are back.
Back with Team Phantom
Tucker, Sam and Jazz (all whom still had their disguises on) were in the middle of searching for their wayward teammates and Valerie, only to see more ghosts causing trouble around town.
They were also spotted by a very irritated looking Desiree and the rest of Danny's rogue gallery.
"Oh man...uh...guys?..."Tucker said at the sight of the ghosts coming at them.
"We see them..." Sam and Jazz said in unison
"Okay… I was hoping it was just me…" Tucker said, cowering a moment as the ghosts approached them.
"You brats are going to pay for that!..."An angry Desiree said once they found them again.
"Massively…" Bertrand said as his fists grew large.
"Do you know how difficult is for a ghost to a decent manicure on short notice?!..."Kitty yelled, angry since the blast hurt and ruined her nails.
"You punks are toast!..."Johnny added with a seething Shadow.
Team Phantom just stood their ground and pulled out their weapons, ready for the next round.
"I hope you're ready..."Sam said to the others.
Jazz and Tucker nodded, ready to step in.
"You're about to wish you were never born!…" Desiree said.
"Bring it, we're ready for you!..."Sam said as she, Jazz and Tucker were ready to fight.
However, Valerie had arrived to go help them, intercepting the genie ghost decking her in the jaw.
"I don't think so, just go back to your bottle!..."Valerie said with a frown.
"You came? Where's Danny?..."Sam said upon seeing her.
"Sorry to disappoint you but Phantom is preoccupied..."Val said. "So, I'm here to step in..."She said.
Team Phantom would have asked about that, but the ghosts did not leave, reminding them that they are still in a fight.
"Too bad, you will have to do…" Spectra said as didn't back down.
Now, it was four teens against a group of angry ghosts and they all looked ready to rip the four apart.
"We're about to to mess you up, punks..."Johnny said in anger as he raised a chain.
"Not likely, you jerk!..."Valerie said with her bazooka ready.
A small fight ensued just then.
Jazz and Sam fired, but Desiree raised a shield for protection before summoning her muffs again. Tucker tried to deal with Technus, doing his best at dodging incoming attacks from a group of ghosts who tries to rush him and the others.
"Shadow, Attack!..." Johnny ordered his dark minion.
Shadow then flew at Valerie, swiping it's claws at her but the female huntress brought her arms up to block the attack. She then pulled out a blaster, aiming at dark creature.
A shot was fired but didn't do much as the shadow regenerated. It gave a slasher smile before going forward.
"Guess, I have to do this the old fashion way..." Valerie commented with glowing palms.
The match was fierce as the huntress's martial arts helped greatly in her favor. Some precise jabs, chops, and kicks in quick succession knocked the shade into a pulp but he was still standing.
So was his Shadow.
"Game over, Babe..."Johnny said as he was to order his Shadow to attack her again.
However, before this could escalate further, a ghost ray came out of nowhere and knocked Johnny down.
Kitty gasped in concern for her boyfriend.
"Johnny?!..." She asked as she went to help him up.
"Valerie! Guys!..."Was heard.
It seems that someone else has joined the scene. Team Phantom and The Red Huntress looked up and saw who appeared. It was Danny, who had a jumpsuit-wearing Star in his arms.
"Danny!..."Sam, Tucker and Jazz all exclaimed in relief.
"Hey guys, miss me?..."He quipped with a smirk.
The ghosts looked to Danny with anger.
"Well, look who came to remember who outmatched he is..."Spectra said, eager for the chance to rid of him, once and for all.
Unfortunately for her, Danny responded
"Don't tell me you're still bitter about the whole getting you turned into a mucus monster thing? Because that's old…..."The ghost boy quipped as he landed.
Before Spectra could respond, she gave a terrified gasp as she realized something wrong.
"Uh, is there something different about the ghost child?..."Technus asked in an uneasy tone.
"Yeah, what did he mean by that?..."Johnny said, while Spectra still looked stunned by what he said.
"You… remember that?..." She asked.
"I still don't wanna make the "you blew it" pun..." Danny said, letting Star down gracefully.
"As gross as that sounds, I think we got to take care of them..."Star said, smirking.
She'll ask about what he is talking about later. Right now, they have ghosts to deal with.
"Uh-huh..."Danny said as he playfully winked to her before he turned to Valerie, who also looked relieved.
"I see you're back to your usual self. Glad to see you're okay..."The Red Huntress said.
"Glad to be back..."Danny said with thumb's up.
The two ghost hunters looked each other in the eye for a tense moment before Danny nodded, he had a smile on his face.
"Thanks for holding down the fort, while I was...you know. I mean it, I owe you one..."He said to her.
Despite it all, Valerie cracked a smile and nodded.
"Eh, I needed the work out..."She said with a shrug.
Danny chuckled at that, before sending a look to his ghostly enemies, glaring at them.
"Looks like you got your work cut out for you..."Valerie said as she then turned to the ghosts, who were still surprised by both Danny's sudden regaining of his memories.
"What do you think? You need me to cover you or do you got this?..."Valerie asked.
Danny then turned to the ghosts and glared at them. They actually still seemed stunned by this look.
"I got it from here, you guys can relax, you did more than enough..."He said to all of them, before turning to Valerie again. "And thanks again for keeping my friends safe and in one piece for me for me, I mean it..." Danny told her.
"No prob, Phantom..."Valerie said as she decided to land.
Danny nodded before looking at his ghostly enemies, who were not happy. He glared at them and they actually seemed stunned by this look.
Valerie smirked when she saw this. Normally, she'd be all to fight ghosts but for once, she decided to watch the show. She needed a break anyway.
"He remembers?..."Technus asked, not liking this.
"Yeah, too soon!..."Johnny said, not liking this either.
The ghostly boy just kept sending them that look as he addressed them.
"Well gang, there's good news and bad news. Good news, my memory is back..."Danny began before he narrowed his eyes at them. "Bad news…my memory is back!..."He yelled before he began to to fly at them.
"Uh oh..." Bertrand said in dread.
"Not good..."Technus added as they all knew what was going to happen now.
"Too tired… to fight him at full strength…" Youngblood groaned since they wasted a lot of power on his friends and sister.
Anyway, Danny flew into the crowd of ghosts, his eyes and fists glowing bright green. He then proceeded to beat every ghost up, happy that he remembered how to do it and that he had an outlet for his misplaced aggression from today.
Between Vlad and Colette trying to take advantage of him, he REALLY needed it.
He used all the power he had (which is quite a lot) and proceeded to remind these ghosts why Amity Park was OFF limits and why they can't mess with him
His enemies tried to attack him by ganging up on him, but Danny, being far less exhausted sent a massive blast of energy, sending the ghosts flying through the air and and hitting the ground.
It wasn't over as Danny used his ice powers to freeze Technus, managed to easily disperse Johnny's Shadow and dodge all the kisses Kitty tried to send him to wherever men are sent. He also managed to send Spectra and Betrand through the air and into each other. As for Desiree, he managed to grab her by the wisp and swing her into her allies.
Valerie watched all of this, while his team looked stunned, before remembering that he doesn't have to do this alone. They all joined in and help him finish this fight.
"Save some for me!..."Was heard as Danny then saw Valerie blasting at Technus robot and decided to let the girl take her aggression out as well .
Danny smiled temporary ally, glad she was on his side. As they say, more the merrier.
They turned to the ghostly enemies and shared a determined look.
"The bigger they are-..."The Red Huntress said.
"The harder they fall..."Danny said with a grin before they went to deal with the ghosts.
Once and for all.
The ghosts did their best but it wasn't enough. It was already difficult to fight a fully remembering Danny Phantom, but the addition of the Red Huntress made the odds of victory from 1 in 100 to 1 in X.
They couldn't keep up with the combined efforts of BOTH Team Phantom AND The Red Huntress!
In fact, they didn't last 15 minutes before Danny finished it off with one last blast that he charged over his head before tossing it to them, before finishing it off with his ghostly wail.
After the short but oh so sweet battle, Danny dropped the last of the ghost onto the ground, dusting off his hands.
"Ohhh.."Spectra said in a pained tone as she laid on the ground.
"I'm going to feel that in the morning..."Technus muttered, still smarting from his injuries.
"Well, that's a beating you aren't going to forget..." Danny told them in his usual witty banter before he chose to end this.
"I'm not done yet!..." Desiree shouted but was still in a daze from the blow to the head she received.
"Yes, you are..."Danny said as he chose to end this.
With all his enemies defeated, Danny pulled out his trusty thermos and sucked them all inside it. Once he was done, he grinned.
"Glad that's taken care of..."He said, pleased.
Star then ran to him and hugged him from behind.
"Way to go, Danny!..."Star said lovingly to him.
Danny smiled.
"Thanks..."He said as he hugged her back.
His friends and sister saw this affectionate display and ran up to him.
"Danny, it's you!..."Sam said happily. "I mean, it was always you, but..."She paused but her friend understood.
"I know what you mean, Sam..."Danny said before he turned to all of them.
"Danny, you're back to normal!..."Jazz said happily.
"Welcome back, Dude..."Tucker said, just as happy.
Danny's friends and sister hugged him tightly. Star, not wanting to to be left out, joined in. All the five of them fell to the ground, still holding onto Danny.
"Guys...air...I need it!..."Danny choked out.
Jazz and the others let go of Danny and Star helped him get back onto his feet.
"You okay?..."She said.
"Never better..."He said, smiling at her.
"Good..." Star spoke up. "I'm just happy to have you back..."She said.
"Happy to be back to you too..."He said sweetly to her.
The two were about to kiss again, only for a slight cough to get their attention.
Team Phantom soon turned and realized that Valerie is STILL here. She just stood there, watching the entire scene with an amused look on her face.
"Aww, ain't that sweet..."The Red huntress commented. "Too bad, my armor doesn't have a camera for that moment..."She joked.
"Sorry to disappoint you, I would have brought one for you..."Danny said with an eye-roll.
"Thanks anyway…" Valerie said.
"Uh… isn't this the part where you try to blast him? Not that I want you to." Sam spoke.
"Eh, I'm tired Plus, my blaster is low on power due to all of the shooting..."Valerie said and Danny chuckled.
"I guess that's a relief for me..."Danny said. "So, I take it this may be a regular thing?..."He quipped.
"I guess we'll find out the next time, Phantom..."Valerie said with a smirk.
Sam, Tucker, Star and Jazz looked at the scene weirdly, wondering what was going on with those two. Jazz looked to Star silently, asking what was going on but the blonde girl shrugged.
She had no idea what was going on with those two either.
"Just so you know, I'm starting to like working together..."Danny added, meaning it.
"Whatever, I gotta go anyway, I need to check on my dad..."She said.
She then hopped aboard her hoverboard, but sent one last look to Danny. Unlike in the past, she wasn't glaring angrily at him or firing missiles. No, she was looking differently at him.
"And Phantom...welcome back..."Valerie said, still smiling at him.
Danny heard this and smiled.
"It's good to be back..."Danny said, meaning it.
She nodded before her hoverboard rose.
Valerie then flew off, leaving Danny alone with his confused friends and suspicious girlfriend.
"What was that about?..."Star asked.
"I'll explain later..."Danny said as he turned to her.
"That was weird…" Tucker added and Sam nodded.
Star frowned, feeling worried.
"Did she figure it out?..."Star wondered to herself before she chose to put it aside.
She'd worry about it later. Right now, they have to make sure the city is alright while making up for a long day.
For now, they got a big mess to clean.

RonaldM40196867: What I like most about their relationship is their chemistry, how much they have grown over the course of the series. I always thought they wasted Star's character potential, especially after it was shown that she is still friends with Valerie in spite of the her lack of popularity. I always believed that Star was nicer than she leads on but repressed that side of her to fit in with the A-listers...and maybe a certain half ghost could have helped bring it out over time.
