After Rasputin's defeat, Sellah and Anastasia rushed over to Dmitri, who was still laying on the ground, lifeless. "Oh no!" Sellah gasped with shock, "Dmitri!"
The young man still laid lifeless as Anastasia sadly said, "Oh no. Dmitri? No…" She then began crying into her skirt
All Sellah could do was come over to her friend and put her hand on her shoulder.
"Dmitri just wanted to help me," Anastasia sobbed.
"Anastasia?" Sellah said as her own eyes became moist, "I… I sent Dmitri after you." The redhead looked at her with a saddened look, and the Jewish girl continued, "I was worried about you and Pooka. I… I thought I was doing the right thing."
Pooka did a sad howl as the two girls sat by each other, feeling very sad about the loss of their friend. Just then, there came a groan! Dmitri started moving, making Anastasia gasp, turn around, and smack him! "Ow!" the young man cried as he rubbed his nose.
"Oh, Dmitri!" Anastasia cried out. As the young man kept rubbing his nose, the princess hugged him, but then he gently pushed her away.
"Oh no, let go," he mumbled, "Let go. Easy!"
"You schmuck!" Sellah gasped, "You had me and Anastasia worried!" She then laughed tears of happiness as she hugged him, too.
"Oy vey," Dmitri muttered as he also gently moved Sellah away from him.
"I'm so sorry!" said Anastasia.
"Yeah, I know," the young man grumbled as he slowly got up, "All men are babies."
Soon Dmitri and Anastasia stood up together and locked eyes. As they lovingly looked at each other, the princess started, "I thought you were going to St. Peter…"
"I was," the young man said.
"You didn't take the…"
"I couldn't."
"Why?"
"Because… I…" The two of them then leaned over to kiss, but then Pooka stopped them.

Anastasia and Dmitri looked down and saw Pooka carrying Anastasia's kokoshnik in his mouth. Sellah giggled and said, "Pooka, you silly boy."
Dmitri took the kokoshnik and held it towards Anastasia. "They're – waiting for you," he said.
As Anastasia looked at the diamond tiara, Sellah looked at her dress and then worriedly said to Dmitri, "Dmitri, she can't go back in this dress." The young man looked at her, and then Sellah stated, "You saw what Rasputin did earlier – letting his little demons torture that poor girl? I figured that if one person could just go over and stand up to that rotten, wicked, disgusting…"
"Sellah, please," Anastasia said, "Take a deep breath."
Sellah felt like stamping her foot or crying, remembering how Rasputin's minions cruelly humiliated her friend; but she followed Anya's advice by breathing in deep and exhaling it all. "I dunno," Sellah said calmly, "What did Rasputin have against your family, anyway?"
"Who knows," Anastasia said, "But the most important thing is that it's over, and…" She looked over at Dmitri, and then smiled; she was ready to make her final decision.

Later that night, Sellah was at Empress Maria's study, and she guided the Empress and Sophie over to the box containing Anastasia's kokoshnik. "There's a note she wants you to read, your majesty," Sellah said, pointing out a piece of paper with a message.
Maria took the letter and read it. This is what it said:

Dear Grandmamma,
Wish me luck! We'll be together in Paris again soon. Sellah is staying behind so that she may find a job to help her pay off expenses to go to America. She is really good at dancing. I hope she stays in touch with me, too.
A bientot

Sophie wiped away a tear as she happily exclaimed, "They've eloped! Isn't it romantic? A perfect ending!"
"No," the Empress smiled, "It's a perfect beginning."
Sellah turned and gave Sophie a hug, and the curvy blonde smiled. "I promise that Vladimir and I will help you somehow, my dear." She looked over at Maria and finished, "And maybe the Empress, too!"
Sellah smiled with tears in her eyes; maybe the Empress wasn't so bad, after all?

Meanwhile, Anastasia and Dmitri were on the deck of a boat, dancing the little waltz they practiced before arriving in Paris. Pooka pranced around the two, barking with joy. After Dmitri spun her around, Anastasia asked him, "You think Sellah will be okay?"
"She'll be fine," Dmitri assured, "Besides, she also played her part in returning you to your family and helping you. She was a true friend – she stayed loyal and never left your side for a minute – and she will always be with you, no matter what."
Anastasia smiled, and then the two of them shared a passionate kiss. Pooka just blushed and covered his face with his big ears. After their kiss, the young man lifted the princess and spun her around, making her giggle.
Up on the rooftop of a building, Bartok was watching the scene with love when a pink female bat flew over to him. "Oh, ah, hello!" the albino bat said with a blush; the female bat pulled him close with her wing and kissed him. "Wow!" Bartok cried in a love-struck tone, "I'll tell you what – wow!" He and his new girlfriend happily giggled as Bartok called out to the audience, "So long, everybody!"
