A/N: alright so here's the next chapter.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything except my OCs. Tala, Ana and Thera.

A/N: I have found motivation!

"Anastasia? Tala?" He asked with disbelief. That was about the last thing he expected to ever happen was to have his long lost nieces standing in front of him along with a small band of dwarves. Or the blatant hostility from Tala.

Tala shoved Ana behind her with a bit more force than necessary as she gripped the handle of her sword. Her eyes flashed with immediate wariness at what Thranduil had said.

Ana glanced at Tala and could see that her mask was heavily cracked. Something was wrong. Tala was adept at keeping things hidden from others. Ana quickly thought about what could be possibly bothering her enough to cause this. Then it clicked. Tala had probably been putting the everything about being in Middle-Earth in the back of her mind refusing to acknowledge it until she no longer could. Ana thought that the most likely thing was that everything had happened so far combined with being in Middle-Earth along with what Thranduil had recognized them had come crashing down causing this reaction in her. She had to think fast to keep Tala from lashing out.

"I'm sorry, have we met?" Ana responded to the Elven King's inquiry with a calm voice. Ana kept her face neutral as she stared down Thranduil.

"You do not remember?" He asked, voice filled with confusion and hurt. He had to look into Anastasia's eyes as Tala's eyes showed wariness directed towards him. She always was the more shy one of the two when they were younger. He reminisced on the bittersweet memories of them as children. His gaze switched to Tala who had changed the most in his opinion. Her face now had scars upon it and her eyes had a hardened look in them. She was clearly different than from how he remembered her.

Anastasia quickly realized that the situation they were in was going to escalate if she didn't step in. She glanced at Tala and could see her barely keeping her mask together, hand clenching repeatedly around her sword. She glanced at the dwarves who seemed just as lost as she felt in this moment. She cleared her throat loudly catching the attention of everyone in the room. "Maybe we should find a place to rest before trying to continue this conversation?" The way she said it was more of a order than suggestion.

"Of course, Legolas show them to their rooms." Thranduil told his son as he agreed with Anastasia. They should rest then try this conversation again with cool heads.

Legolas nodded back before moving to leave only to hear a blade being drawn. He turned around to see Tala had pulled out a curved blade and was cutting through the bonds that were on the dwarves wrists. He looked to his father who shook his head in response to his unasked question.

The company could tell that Tala was distant but one glance at Anastasia revealed that she was very concerned for Tala at the moment. Fíli speed up so he was now walking next to Ana who was behind Balin at this point while Tala was at the front of the group. "What's wrong?" He asked her.

"How could I have been so stupid?!" She grumbled to herself more than him.

"What do you mean?"

"Tala! I should have known she would not have let everything that's happened so far affect her until she can no longer ignore it. Then add on what we just learned and I have no doubt that Tala is going to have a panic attack."

"She seems to have those rather often." Fíli remarked. His eyes widening as he realized how that sounded. Ana sighed before replying to blonde dwarf.

"She has anxiety Fíli. Hers is bad enough that it means she is prone to having panic attacks." She gave him a rueful smile with grief in her eyes.

"She didn't always have anxiety then did she?" Fíli gently asked her. Ana's following silence was enough of an answer for him. It made his blood boil to know that what Tala had been through at the hands of others led her to battle that everyday, but there wasn't much he could do about it. He decided to he would let Tala know that he was there for her. He risked a glance in Tala's direction and saw that she was still being distant but had begun to fiddle with the end of her sleeve. A habit of hers when she was anxious.

Upon closer inspection he realized she was tensed up, as if she expected a fight any second. He watched as Thorin approached her with concern spread across his face.

Thorin was becoming increasingly worried about Tala. He could see that her shoulders were tense and back straight. When she wasn't fiddling with the end of her sleeve she kept thumbing the handle of either her kukri or her sword.

Once he caught up to her, he reached out to put his hand on her shoulder. He gently set his hand on her shoulder and she looked up at him. He felt himself grow even more concerned when he could the turmoil raging in her teal eyes as they softly glowed upwards at him.

Without saying a word as they continued to follow Legolas he simply slipped his hand into hers and held it. He could feel her tighten her grip on his hand as she stepped a little closer to him as they walked down the hall leading towards the guest rooms. He could tell she greatly appreciated the small gesture of affection and support from him.

About a minute after that they came upon a single large room where Legolas had stopped in front of. "We weren't expecting guests, so you will just have to stay here while we get the rooms set up for everyone." And without a further ado he turned and walked briskly back in the direction they had come from.

He walked with Tala into the large room into a secluded corner of the room before he asked her if she was alright.

"I'm fine."

"Tala." He said with a raised brow and a tone that let her know she wasn't getting out of or around this.

"I said I'm fine! It's nothing I can't handle."

"Tala, don't shut me out. Tell me what's wrong, please my Eziluk Azbad."

"What's wrong, what's wrong?! I fucking died along with Anastasia in my world because apparently we were from this world to begin with! So then we were told we don't have any living family or anyone who would know us but guess what that's a lie to. Then Anastasia was whipped by the goblins and it's all my fault. And you guys keep getting past my walls I built to protect myself and it absolutely terrifies me. Because I'm afraid you'll all leave me." She raged at him but by the time she finished she was now crying. She wiped furiously at her eyes.

But Thorin had seen the tears fall. "But that's not all of it is it?" He asked as he gently wiped away her tears with his thumb.

"It's just, he knew who I was. I don't even know him or have ever even met him before. He recognized me, Thorin," Her head tilted down and her voice softened as she continued, "Me. A nobody."

He knew it would be a long time if she ever saw herself as important. He grabbed her hands making her look up at him. "You are NOT a nobody. Not to them," he said as he pointed to the company who were talking amongst themselves as they took stock of their supplies. "Not to Anastasia and not to ME. I will never be able to put into words how much you mean to me Tala." He looked into her eyes as he finished saying that.

Without warning Tala smashed her lips into his with a fiery passion as her grip on him tightened. Thorin was caught off guard by the sudden passionate kiss form Tala. He didn't move at first but soon returned it with equal passion. They soon broke apart and Tala looked into his eyes. He watched as it caught up to her what she had just done and turned bright red. But she didn't remove herself from his arms and her face held a shy smile on it.

Legolas made his way back to the throne room with a quick stride. It didn't take the Prince long to reach it and immediately his eyes sought out his father. He spotted him standing by a nearby table with far off look on his face.

"Ada."

At the sound of his son's voice Thranduil turned around to see Legolas standing there just a few feet away. He raised a brow in response to his son's schooled expression.

"You knew them." It wasn't a question but a statement.

"Yes. And so did you," he turned around to face Legolas "though you often missed them since you were busy with your studies."

Now that he mentioned Legolas did remember brief interactions with them. But he still didn't remember them that well. He studied his father's face as he stood there in front of him. He could see regret in his father's eyes though he did not understand why. "You regret something involving those two."

It wasn't a question but a statement.

Thranduil sighed as he bowed his head slightly. "Yes, I do. Elrond and Lady Galadriel thought that they would be safer away from Middle Earth."

"Why?"

"They were in danger, for there are such few fire elves. When an elf show the signs of being a fire elf after birth they will always be in danger for they could make a powerful and terrible weapon when tortured into submission.

"After their mother and father were killed by an Orc raid, they were sent away to what was supposed to be a safer world. Obviously we were wrong."

It was clear to Legolas that this greatly upsets and weighed heavily on his father's mind. He had a lot to think on now. He didn't know much about them but knew he would have to tread carefully. Tala and Anastasia may be family but they clearly didn't remember him.

Balin smiled at the sight of Thorin and Tala in the corner of the room. From here he could see Tala's shy smile as she began to lean into Thorin as they headed over towards them. He looked over at Fíli and Anastasia only to see they were talking quietly. He could though make out the tension in Ana's form. She was rather good at hiding it.

They would need to find a way out of here soon, without Thorin getting them thrown in dungeons. Maybe Ana could think of a way to persuade Thranduil to let them continue onwards. He was certain that if she wanted to she could make a deal with Smaug that wouldn't end in dragon fire.

The sound of a gentle knock had them all pausing it what they were doing and turned towards the door. Ana called out telling them to come in.

The door opened to reveal an elleth with strawberry blonde hair and emerald eyes. Before any of them could question her she simply stated "A bath is being drawn for those who wish to have one." Her voice was smooth a small smile rested on her lips.

"Yes please." Anastasia said as she began to walk to the door. She looked behind her and saw Tala shyly kiss Thorin's cheek before following her.

Tala looked around as they followed Thera to the bathroom. It was only down the hall and around the corner. Thera opened the door and gestured for them to go inside.

The bath was a naturally filled small pool with a rack of soaps and oils nearby. A second rack had towels spread across it. Next to the racks by the bath was a changing area. They both looked at each other before moving towards the changing area. As they got behind it they heard Thera call out to them.

"Would you like help with washing your hair?"

Ana agreed but Tala was more hesitant before she too eventually agreed to the offer as well. She wouldn't admit but she was exhausted.

Another knock sounded shortly after the girls had left. Thorin turned towards the door as an elf came through the door. "King Thranduil wishes for you to join him for the Feast of Starlight tonight." Thorin simply nodded in response and the elf turned and left.

Thorin wasn't enthusiastic about having to dine with Thranduil but there wasn't much her could do about it. He sighed heavily in annoyance. Last thing he wanted to do was join in him in sharing a meal. It didn't take long for the elf to return and Thorin followed him out.

He followed the elf into a dining room where Thranduil was already seated along with the elf the blonde haired blue eyed elf. Legolas if he remembered correctly. He sat down at the table and food was quickly served to them.

Thranduil studied the dwarf in front of him. He seemed irritated but at the same time lighter. He couldn't figure out why though he was sure in due time he would find out. "Tell me how did you find my two lost nieces?"

Thorin looked up from his plate not expecting the question. "We didn't. Gandalf found them and they have been traveling with us."

"And where is it your traveling to?" Thranduil asked in turn as he took a sip of his wine.

"The Iron Hills to see my kin." He responded face carefully neutral.

"How is Anastasia?"

Thorin chucked around the question. "She's calm and caring. She has an amazing potential to be and advisor. She's good with a blade too." He remarked then Thranduil asked the more difficult question. Tala.

"Tala is, Tala. She cares but she has a hard time showing it. She has been through so much that it's astounding yet she keeps going, almost in sheer spite alone. She definitely has a hot temper and is unrivaled in combat from what we have seen. Her eyes though are beautiful, absolutely beautiful."

"That sounds more like your in love with her." Thranduil states with an eyebrow raised and features schooled.

Thorin cursed himself mentally he hadn't meant to say that last part out loud. He instead gave a careless shrug of indifference to Thranduil's statement.

Thranduil set down his wine as he looked at Thorin. "Some would say that a noble quest is at hand. A quest to reclaim a homeland and slay a dragon. I myself suspect a more prosaic motive. Attempted burglary or something of that ilk. You have found a way in." He said as he stared straight into Thorin's eyes which flickered with the embers of growing anger. "You seek that which would bestow upon you the right to rule, the King's Jewel. The Arkenstone. It is precious to you beyond measure."

Tala's faces popped up in his head. To him she was more precious than life itself. But could not and would not let Thranduil know that.

"I understand that. There are gems in the mountain which I too desire. White gems or pure starlight. I offer you my help."

Thorin nodded his head towards The Elven King. "I'm listening."

"I will aid you if you return what is mine and leave my nieces here. They will be safe here. A favor for a favor, you have my word. One king to another."

"You ask that I leave Anastasia and Tala behind?" Thorin growled before he spoke again. "I refuse to leave them behind, they are apart of my company! I would not trust you til the end of all days! You! Who lack all honor! I've seen how you treat your friends. We came to you once starving and homeless, seeking you help. But you turned your back on us! You turned away from the suffering of my people and the inferno that destroyed us." Thorin finished as he slammed his fists onto the table breaking his plate.

Thranduil's face hardened and flashed with fury. "Do not speak to me of dragon fire. I know if it's wrath and ruin." He shot up and got right into Thorin's face. He shuddered and his face contorted to show the scar forming on the left side of his face as his eye turned solid white. "I have face the great serpents of the north." He pulled out of Thorin's face as he continued to speak. "I warned your grandfather of what his greed would summon. But he would not listen. You are just like him." He turned to the guards in the room. "Guards, throw him and his company into cells." He then locked back at Thorin. "Stay here if you will and rot. I'm patient I can wait til you see reason."

Thorin was grabbed and basically dragged off to the dungeons where he was thrown into a cell. He could hear the rest of the company also being thrown into the other cells shouting obscenities as they went.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Tala ignored Thera's curious and worried looks when she saw her scars. She was grateful that she didn't ask any questions and instead pretended not to see them.

Anastasia and Tala quickly got dressed before heading back to where the company was waiting for them. When they arrived at the room there was no one there. It was completely empty, their things gone expect for Tala's and Anastasia's.

Tala turned around, fury brimming in her eyes. "Where are they?" She asked with a low growl.

"I do not know." Thera whispered back. She took an unconscious step back from the furious women in front of her.

"Tala we will deal with this tomorrow, I'm exhausted and I know you are too. Now leave her alone, I'm sure she can come up with some answers." Anastasia said as she fixed Thera with a pointed look.

Tala looked like she was going to argue but instead let out a tired sigh before leaning against Anastasia who's wrapped an arm around her.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Tauriel stopped in front of the black haired dwarf she had saved in the forest just a day ago. Tauriel thought he was rather attractive. "Tala and Anastasia aren't going to be happy about this."

"For following the kings orders?"

"For throwing us in a cell. She's going to fight for us, no matter who's posing the threat."

"She sounds loyal."

"She is. Anastasia and her are my sisters."

Tauriel began to leave but she noticed that he was tossing a stone up and catching it.

"That stone in your hand, what is it?" She asked him.

"It's a Talisman." He stated with a blank look. "A powerful spell lies upon it. If any dwarf reads the runes on this stone," He thrust his hand out of the bars of the cell with the stone lying flat on his palm. "They will be forever cursed!" He finished.

Tauriel took a step back with wide eyes and began to leave when she heard him speak again.

"Or not." He said with a smile spread across his face. "Depending on whether or not you believe in that kind of thing. It's just a runestone. My mother gave it to me so I'd remember my promise." He said with smile but it held worry in it.

"What promise?" She asked him with a small smile.

"That I would come back to her. She worries. She thinks I'm reckless." He told her.

"Are you?" She asked with a raised brow.

"Nah." He deposed with a cheeky smile as he tossed the stone again. Except this time he didn't catch it.

It bounced out of the cell he was in before he could grab it and nearly fell off the edge of the path if Tauriel hadn't quickly pinned it down with her foot.

"Sounds like quite a party you're having up there." Kíli said as he stood up.

Tauriel bent down and picked up the stone and held it gently in her hand. "It is Mereth e-nGilith, the Feast of Starlight." She said as she spun around with a smile on her face. "All light is sacred to the Eldar. But the Wood Elves love best the light of the stars."

"I always thought it is a cold light. Remote and far away." Kíli responded as he he made a gesture with his hands.

Tauriel turned and faced him with a soft smile. "It is memory. Precious and pure like your promise." She smiled as she held out the stone to him on her palm.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Tala couldn't sleep. It's just wasn't possible for her she was too anxious and angry to do so. Instead she gathered up her supplies and began to look for Thorin and the rest of her family.

She wandered the halls looking for them while keeping mental notes about objects that would allow her to retrace her footsteps back to where the room her and Anastasia were sharing.

Little did she know that Anastasia had grabbed her sword and pack before setting out to find the dwarves and their missing hobbit as soon as she got up.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Anastasia had somehow ended up in the dungeons and ran straight into an invisible Bilbo, knocking them both down.

Bilbo pulled off the ring immediately. "Oh I'm terribly sorry Ana, I didn't see you there." He apologized as he helped her up. "Are you looking for the dwarves?"

"Yes, do you know where they are?" She asked with as a hopeful smile spread across her face.

"Yes. But we have to be quiet and I found a way out of here." He smiled at her.

They made their way towards the deeper into the dungeons just as they heard what sounded like Ori say "We're never going to reach the mountain are we?"

"Not stuck in here you aren't!" Bilbo said as he rounded the corner with Anastasia right behind him.

"He's got a point." Ana told them, a soft smile on her face.

The Seaver's began to cheer loudly only to be shushed by Ana. "There are guards nearby you morons!" She whisper yelled at them as Bilbo set about letting them out.

She made a beeline for Fíli and embraced him. He wrapped his strong arms around her. He placed a single kiss of her lips before they moved to follow the others.

"Ana, where's Tala?" Thorin asked from up ahead of them.

"She wasn't in the room when I got up, so she might have set out to find you. Although I hate to say this and I do mean absolutely hate to say this but we cannot wait for her. Since you guys and her both have a penchant for finding trouble she probably find us." She began to follow Thorin who was behind Bilbo.

They were soon led into the cellars by the hobbit. The others immediately opens their mouths to protest but one look from Anastasia silenced them. "Climb into the barrels, quickly."

Once again they were silenced before they could say anything by Anastasia. The climber into the barrels with Fíli and Ana sharing a barrel.

Bofur stuck his head out and looked at Bilbo who was standing by a lever. "Now what?"

"Hold you breath." He said then pulled the lever.

A/N: ahh sorry bout that and taking so long I lost my motivation for this piece. But good news is it's back so expect more chapters, cause I'm going to try my hardest to finish this story.
