Crisis of Infinite Visions: A Wonder Woman Fanfiction Story
Episode 21:
Soon, on the Monitor's station...
In a spirit energy energization crackling of purple and blue nebula intertwined clouds... Harbinger forms ten spirit duplicates of fiery red and ghostly red.
They reach out to each other in a circle around the League of Wonder Women, The Chosen, and a lot of their allies.
With so many universes lost to the antimatter wave... The Monitor has become cosmically drained to the point of falling into a coma on a fold out couch.
Earth-JWW Wonder Woman, Brainiac-5, Johnny Quick, and Pariah are staying to help guard the Monitor's station. Even Old Bruce was convinced that Johnny Quick at this time just wanted to help save the multiverse, and so he was given a temporary release from his cell in Neo-Gotham.
With chronokinesis slowed flashes of spreading out purple, pink, and white nebula rings... The Harbingers fly in a fast spinning spirit energy circle...creating a portal of crossing over flashes.
Flashes go by: Of their Lego allies calling all Finns and Biancas from the I-M-Human lands to work together to quickly build big Lego Batman and Lego Wonder Woman mechas for them, of Earth-1900 Wonder Woman and Earth-DCB1 Wonder Woman politely asking to have their separate physical bodies again if possible, of goddess Earth-947 Wonder Woman and Pariah using their powers to give Earth-1900 Wonder Woman and Earth-DCB1 Wonder Woman back their physical bodies...and of the last of Pariah's antimatter powers sparking off after the cosmically near impossible task.
Gloss asks, "you are sure you are ready to lead this time, Diana?"
Wonder Woman says, "yes. I am, Gloss."
And... In a flash of spreading out purple, pink, and white nebula rings... They smile to each other.
Around then, in Chaos's antimatter universe...
This used to be Krona's antimatter universe to play in and create antimatter mortal hybrids on.
Krona's people were the Qwardians. Their highest ranks were Thunderer and Destroyer: Scouts and guards for his antimatter universe against rival forces of Lantern Corps and other Kronas out there.
Now there are only swirls of antimatter, chaotically swirling rocks...and the planet Qward.
If Qward wasn't a ideal place to rebuild and upgrade the antimatter wave firing chamber? Chaos would have already turned it from a giant majestic temple of rocks and craters to swirled chunks of rock.
The antimatter wave firing chamber now has some mostly white space shuttle like tiles and five greatly misaligned giant red to orange telescopes sticking out. Magic dancing lights are on each lens.
Chaos's distorted voice laughs.
Out from outer space... Chaos has magic dancing lights for eyes and a dark grin.
Chaos calls out, "faster, Qwardians! Faster! Laugh! Chaos wants the antimatter chamber to destroy all matter universes! Chaos is your god! Defy me, and you not matter! Faster! Faster!"
The Qwardians are running around and sweating like crazy.
They're crafting and getting final matter-antimatter parts for the antimatter wave firing chamber.
Some of them collapse on the dock styled wood walkways from exhaustion.
A faintly familiar voice calls out, "you heard Chaos: Move it! Or, I'll see what else besides your kids's toys I can break. Faint laugh. I might like that. But...you won't."
It came from a figure in a mostly jet black to bright yellow mecha.
The mecha has a domed medieval styled helmet, futuristic vacuum tube styled metal plates between the other plates, and antimatter tubing down the arms. What seems to be a long black stripe goes down the back of it. But, the dim light there makes it hard to tell for sure.
The figure fires bright white lighting from mecha hands...taking out two random Qwardians.
Most of the other Qwardians scream. They run a little faster than they already are.
A second figure in a mecha stands high up in a half crumpled away hall...watching.
The second figure's mecha has mostly light to dark gray feathery like metallic plating all over.
Chaos and both figures in Anti-Monitor styled mechas laugh.
That is...until The League of Wonder Women, The Chosen, their Lego allies in mechas, Earth-1197 Alexander Luthor, the Triple Stars, the Earth-E2OC Justice League, Batman Beyond Batman, Nightshade, and Earth-TBATB Batman and several of his allies appear.
Nightshade for now goes into a shadowy portal...with Earth-One Flash going in too.
Earth-E2OC Batman calls out, "Owlman! Superwoman! I knew Chaos might bring you back."
And... The two figures in Anti-Monitor mechas are indeed Owlman and Superwoman.
With a faint laugh... Owlman thinks out loud, "no more debate. We're going to destroy the multiverse's greatest superheroes and absorb all their powers...which you presumably just happened to bring here. Then, no one will stop us and Chaos from taking out whoever lives and whoever will live."
He and Superwoman darkly grin. Everyone else sharply glares at them.
With a dark grin... Chaos's distorted voice laughs.
Hundreds of Shadow Manhunters appear for Owlman and Superwoman to lead into battle.
With a wild laugh... Bana-Mighdall Dark Angel appears too.
Earth-TBATB Black Canary remarks, ""sorry", owl boy: I like my voice!"
Just then... She's firing a sonic scream blast at Owlman.
Owlman doubles over in some mental pain, clutching his ears.
With a smile... Earth-TBATB Jaime Reynes Blue Beetle calls out, "nice one, Black Canary!"
With a smile... Earth-TBATB Black Canary calls back, "thanks!"
Owlman calls out frustratedly, "Superwoman! !"
Superwoman fires a lighting blast from one hand...for Owlman to purposely absorb into himself with Shadow Manhunter powers to fully restore himself.
With a heated glare at Earth-TBATB Black Canary... Superwoman simultaneously uses her other hand to blast lighting at her.
Earth-TBATB Red Tornado quickly gets Earth-TBATB Black Canary out of the way.
And, with battle cries from the Wonder Women, Donna Troy, the Triple Stars, and Hawkgirl... The League of Wonder Women including Diana of the Dreaming, The Chosen, and their allies charge for Owlman's, Superwoman's, and Bana-Mighdall Dark Angel's Shadow Manhunter forces.
Wonder Woman in her spiritwear, Harbinger, and Donna Troy lead the charge.
Superwoman and Owlman start to fly up in their mechas...preparing to battle.
Earth-E2OC Batman says, "stay sharp. This is our stand for justice in the multiverse."
With a smirk... Earth-E2OC Hawkgirl remarks somewhat lightly, "lighten up a little Bats: This is a celebration I like...bashing Creep Owls's helmet in!"
She's already fly charging for Owlman...with her lightning crackling mace held up high.
Earth-E2OC Batman, Earth-TBATB Batman, both Earth-E2OC Green Lanterns, Earth-TBATB Black Canary, and most of the Wonder Women laugh.
Earth-TBATB Black Canary gets a lift by riding on the back of Earth-TBATB Batman's bat jetpack. Earth-E2OC Flash gets a ride on the shoulder of Lego Batman's mech. Earth-TBATB Kamandi is standing ready from Earth-TBATB Jaime Reynes Blue Beetle's back, with the Blue Beetle scarab's battle wear more than supporting his weight.
Owlman tries to swat Earth-E2OC Hawkgirl away with his mecha hand.
But... She smashes her mace hard into his mecha hand...sending electricity coursing through the matter-antimatter circuitry behind a then dented in mecha hand.
Owlman's whole mecha sparks off in matter-antimatter swirled energy sparks.
He coughs hard. But...he's already absorbing the electricity to restore his newer physical form.
He fires a ton of flares and bladed Owlrangs from his mecha...lighting up the night sky.
The League of Wonder Women, The Chosen, and their allies hard spin fly and swoop around all the flares and bladed Owlrangs.
Goddess Earth-947 Wonder Woman fly charges in a reddish yellow aura...right for Chaos.
Just then... A antimatter chamber rupture is starting to fade as soon as it's come above Qward...looking out to blurs of universes.
With help from notes volunteered by Pariah himself before infiltrating the Anti-Monitor fortress and with Brainiac-5's help? The Monitor has recalibrated part of his station to create a antimatter chamber rupture array in case it would be necessary.
As part of Wonder Woman's own plan? Harbinger, with her spirit energy energization, could open a portal back to the Monitor's station to send a antimatter chamber rupture to Qward.
It would have to be timed well. But, Harbinger's mystical helmet gem camera alone would be enough to signal to Brainiac-5 and Pariah when that would be.
And... Owlman's ton of flares unintentionally gave them that time window all the sooner.
Wonder Woman and Devastator Woman are fly charging together through the antimatter rupture chamber...heading for a certain past time on the Anti-Monitor fortress.
Around then, back on the surface of Qward...
Nightshade lets Earth-One Flash and Earth-1197 Alexander Luthor know the coast is clear.
She opens a shadowy portal on another level of Qward...letting Earth-One Flash speed carry over Antitime Earth 1 Psycho Pirate to a certain half crumpled away hall.
A little teary eyed... Antitime Earth 1 Psycho Pirate leans out...looking out at Chaos, the Qwardians, and the antimatter wave firing chamber.
Antitime Earth 1 Psycho Pirate very nervously murmurs, "my god. Here I am, the master of emotions... And... Moderate sigh. I never wanted universes to be destroyed. I just wanted control. Faint sniffle. Laugh! Living and breathing on playing with emotions until the day I..."
With a glare... Earth-One Flash warns, "don't even think about playing with my emotions, Psycho Pirate. I already know I'm going to lose my universe. But... Hard sniffle. There's hope for other universes. So, I got nothing to lose."
Antitime Earth 1 Psycho Pirate murmurs, "oh, you're no fun."
Earth-One Flash grabs some of his costume to grab him.
A few tears fall from Earth-One Flash's face.
Earth-One Flash mutters tensely, "you're a cruel man, Psycho Pirate. You want me to take your mask and show you what hate is?!"
Antitime Earth 1 Psycho Pirate gulps nervously.
He goes, "all right! I... Sigh! We'll stick with your plan. Just please don't destroy my mask!"
Earth-One Flash moderately sighs. He's finding it hard to look up.
With mixed feelings... Earth-One Flash figures, "just as I thought. I'm...I'm thankful I don't have to cross that line either. Now let's go."
Antitime Earth 1 Psycho Pirate breathes a nervous sigh of relief.
Earth-One Flash speeds by Qwardian after Qwardian...bringing Antitime Earth 1 Psycho Pirate along for the ride.
They're getting Qwardians, for once in god days, to feel happiness and no darkness.
Hundreds of Qwardians quickly begin to realize Chaos will try to take that hope away from them as soon as it catches them hoping. And so...they quickly begin to hate Chaos.
The Qwardians all start calling out, "destroy Chaos! Destroy Chaos! More hope! More hope!"
They all start to hard hurl yellow Qwa-Bolts at Chaos.
Chaos cries out, "no! ! You...will...not defy Chaos! !"
Chaos creates Shadow Manhunter Golems out of swirled stone-antimatter to rise out of Qward.
They're throwing away and hard punching down Qwardians all over.
Nightshade challenges, "defy this, Chaos!"
She calls out, "now, shadow brothers and sisters! Go! !"
She leads her Mannishade forces out of many shadowy portals...joining the Qwardians in battle.
Around then, between universes...
Wonder Woman and Devastator Women fly back to back. Blurs of universes whiz by.
Five Shadow Manhunters have been following them into the space-time tear. But, they both continue to fly charge: For Chaos itself of the relatively not so distant past.
It's a mortal minute before the Anti-Monitor Fortress exploded. Time travel close to the time of this cosmic explosion would cancel out ripple effects that would worsen the space-time continuum.
Wonder Woman slashes her spirit energy blade into some whirling by stars...unleashing some solar flares into two Shadow Manhunters.
Devastator Woman is firing goddess black holes in whirls...right into three Shadow Manhunters.
All five Shadow Manhunters shriek...as they explode in bright white light.
Devastator Woman all too cheerfully calls out, "whoo-hooo! This is fun! We do this again?!"
Wonder Woman sighs nervously to herself.
With mixed feelings... She calls out, "Devastator Woman, focus! Chaos is coming up."
Devastator Woman figures, "okay! Sorry Wonder Woman. We'll have Chaos destroying fun!"
Wonder Woman couldn't help but chuckle a little at that. Devastator Woman darkly laughs.
Around then, back on Earth-0...
From Paradise Island and Themiscrya to the United States and China... Cries in mental overload, battle cries, laser fast fire, and magic dancing lights start to cover the world.
Hundreds of Shadow Manhunters charge for mortal fighters and mortal hybrid fighters.
The Astraea Cycle and the Olympian Gods are in the sky...with both struggling to fight Chaos's time displaced duplicates and its magic dancing lights vortexes with god and goddess thunderstorms.
In outer space... Hundreds of Shadow Manhunters are charging for the Monitor's station.
Interestingly... Hundreds of the Monitor's bodiless bodysuits have merged with robotic Manhunters from Earth-GLA1...with green swirled eyes of astral energy sparks.
From outer space to the sky... They charge for the Shadow Manhunters.
They're raining down their Aya enhanced blasters upon them all...stunning them back.
And... The robot Manhunters and the Shadow Manhunters start charging for each other instead.
The sentient AI and Green Lantern that calls herself Aya is in the sky...overseeing her army of Manhunters fighting the Shadow Manhunters.
Teary eyed... Earth-GLA1 Aya solemnly mutters, "Cadmus's computer virus must work now, Amanda. I want to help save and protect everyone. But... Hard sniffle. I in mistaken fury created the Aya-Monitor. I will do anything to destroy any chance of its program of hate running again!"
Over communications... Amanda Waller insists, "me and The Monitor have a deal. I pick last minute who to come to help humanity. The sacrifice of your Manhunters will protect hundreds of humans. This is far from mistaken, Aya: This is the better call."
And... With a smile... Earth-GLA1 Aya says, "thank you Amanda. That does help assure me."
Around then, in a classified location...
Amanda Waller is heading down a hall with Ace...when the hall is destroyed in a god fireball.
Ace barely warps reality in time to put up a force field of white and black sparks.
With a wide smirk... Hades sickly says, "Amanda Waller! Haven't been hiding her well from dangers? Moderate sigh. You know our deal. I "thought you were better" than the rest of these sad mortals. Maybe I should take away the White House: The one that wouldn't have been without me?"
And... Amanda Waller and Ace glare tensely toward Hades and Persephone.
Around then, on ground level of Qward...
Earth-One Flash speeds to the firing chamber...leaving Antitime Earth 1 Psycho Pirate behind.
He's on another level of Qward, catching his breath from using his powers so much in one go.
Earth-1197 Alexander Luthor pounds the antimatter wave firing chamber with his fists.
He cries out in frustration.
Earth-One Flash asks, "Alexander... What's wrong?"
Teary eyed... Earth-1197 Alexander Luthor heavily sighs.
He looks up.
He explains, "I tried everything with my powers. But... Hard sniffle. I could only phase my head in to look in without being destroyed. The antimatter wave building inside...is large enough to destroy all reality. Hard sniffle. Antimatter can't crack its casing! Heavy sigh! Nothing can aside from..."
Earth-One Flash very nervously realizes, "...enough speed. Heavy sigh. Hard sniffle. We...we know what'll happen if I go through with this."
They both look solemnly to each other...teary eyed.
Earth-One Flash voices, "billions of lives in past, present, future... That's what we're fighting for. Hard sniffle. I...I wish Irish and everyone else I care about will for sure live on to hear my story."
Earth-1197 Alexander Luthor kind of assures, "I understand Flash. Sniffle. I do."
He puts a sympathetic hand on Earth-One Flash's shoulder.
Earth-One Flash very faintly smiles.
He starts to speed around the antimatter wave firing chamber...faster and faster.
He cries in mental pain from so many temporal echoes. But...he's still running faster and faster.
Earth-1197 Alexander Luthor ducks and covers from the wind vortex forming.
Earth-One Flash barely reaches out with a shaking hand...across many past points of time being wiped out by the antimatter wave.
And, across every one... He desperately cries out, "can't you see?! The worlds are falling. So much...already lost... Please...help m...e...e...s...a...v...e ev...ery...o...n...e...! !"
The antimatter wave firing chamber explodes in antimatter, wind, smoke, and fire.
Earth-One Flash is lost to the antimatter wave echoes...across all of time and space.
And... A Owlman styled logo is under the wreckage of the antimatter wave firing chamber...on a smaller firing chamber that can only aim at one universe at a time with a antimatter wave.
Around then, on another level of Qward...
With a glare... Gloss warns, "Crystal?! Surrender, or I'll...!"
She is ready to charge with astral green and blue dragon claws. Astral smoke circles her.
In mixed feelings... Earth-One Crystal Frost mutters, "if you're any kind of leader... Sniffle. You should listen to me now!"
A space-time tear is slowly reopening by a long curved ice ramp...thanks to hands of astral green energy from Earth-One Crystal Frost's Green Lantern ring.
Gloss moderately sighs.
She notices thirty frozen solid Shadow Manhunters. Frozen for now by Earth-One Crystal Frost.
Gloss somewhat agrees, "fine! Then please tell me why I shouldn't call Pariah to close the tear."
While they're talking? Gloss has her Green Lantern ring examine the reopening space-time tear.
The coming up new destination is a past time for Earth-One: Not for the Anti-Monitor Fortress.
Earth-One Crystal Frost admits, "because... Hard sniffle. Because I've remembered the reason I loved Professor Stein so much to begin with. Hard sniffle. I know I can't make up for... Hard sniffle. For all of the terrible things I've done as Killer Frost. But... Hard sniffle. But, he wanted to do good. He appreciated people not for being a woman or a man. But... Hard sniffle. For the good inside people. Hard sniffle! Fighting Chaos this long...! Hard sniffle! I've finally seen that... Hard sniffle! I always wanted to be that much like him: My burning flame of hope."
Gloss looks stunned.
Earth-One Crystal Frost's astral hands move the space-time tear to her before fading away.
And... Earth-One Crystal Frost begins to step into the space-time tear.
Gloss realizes, "but... But, you could be destroyed."
They look at each other...teary eyed.
Somberly... Earth-One Crystal Frost concludes, "I know. Hard sniffle. Hard sniffle. Tell Poison Ivy my compass is no longer frozen. Tell Firestorm...I still love him."
Some tears fall from both of their faces.
While Earth-One Crystal Frost is talking? She's putting up ice barriers around most of herself.
Gloss cries out, "no: Crystal! !"
Gloss tries hard to break through the ice barriers with her earth dragon astral fire and claws.
But...Earth-One Crystal Frost has already leaped into the closing space-time tear.
A alternate evil version of Firestorm shrouded in shadow sent by Chaos is heading for a past time of Earth-One...when Earth-One Crystal Frost tackles him between blurs of universes.
The alternate evil version of Firestorm tries to angrily throw Earth-One Crystal Frost off.
But... They tumble crash into a completely molecularly getting torn up crashing down bridge.
Firestorm was protecting many innocent lives and the past Earth-One Crystal Frost on that bridge from the alternate evil version of Firestorm.
The alternate evil version of Firestorm atomically blasts the present Crystal Frost before she could fight back...destroying her in a burst of atomic energy and ice shards.
Firestorm, in a fit of anger, atomically blasts the alternate evil version of Firestorm away.
He is sent flying into the collapsing bridge...as it plunges into the waters below.
But... The space-time tear brings the antimatter wave faster to Earth-One in the past.
Screams on and off the bridge. A cry from Firestorm to help save everyone on his Earth.
The Monitor originally told Harbinger to save Crystal because there was only time to save her. But...that timeline has shattered into glass pieces of fracturing space-time.
Harbinger's and Crystal's past images shatter into glass pieces of fracturing space-time.
And... Earth-One Crystal Frost's present Green Lantern ring goes to Firestorm.
Teary eyed... Firestorm thinks out loud, "damn you, Chaos! ! Why?! Why did she have to be destroyed protecting me?! I know what my powers are fully capable of with the right equipment: Protecting entire Earths from antimatter. Professor Stein always will be a part of me. But... Hard sniffle. Just realizing I never meant to hurt her feelings in the first place and liking me as a friend would be more than enough from Frosty. Hard sniffle. Now I know what it's like to live through the Titanic. Hard sniffle. But, I promise: Her destruction won't be in vain. Hard sniffle. Times of fire and darkness... It's where we separate boys and girls from idiots. Hard sniffle. Professor Stein? I... Hard sniffle. I'm ready to save all the boys and girls I can: More than I ever been before."
He's looking down...struggling to not cry.
In his head... Professor Stein's voice tells him, "I know you are. I wish there was a better way too. But... Hard sniffle. I'm with you all the way, Ronald."
Despite some tears falling from his face? Firestorm very faintly smiles.
He flies to the present on Qward...keeping a few steps ahead of shattering glass space-time.
With his atomic powers laced in green astral energy from his Green Lantern ring... He stuns twenty Shadow Manhunters in one blast.
They just as quickly begin to absorb all that atomic energy. They're flying back for Firestorm.
In his head... Professor Stein's voice sarcastically says, "great! We'll throw nuts at them next."
Firestorm thinks back determinedly, "no. I'll give you another guess on my real plan."
Firestorm fly punches through the stunned Shadow Manhunters...clearing the way to a crater.
Firestorm flies underground...heading for the matter-antimatter swirled core of the planet Qward.
He struggles to punch and atomically blast charging Shadow Manhunter Golems.
Firestorm is coughing hard. He's in moderate bad condition.
But... Firestorm still reaches the matter-antimatter swirled core of Qward.
With his atomic powers laced in green astral energy... He's starting to create a atomic-astral cosmic shell around the matter-antimatter swirled core of Qward.
He plans to phase Qward into a unstable state to have the antimatter firing chamber fall into Qward, destroy Qward, and wipe out all of Chaos's forces in the explosion. Firestorm would use his Green Lantern ring to get in touch with Harbinger and The Chosen in time for them, The League of Wonder Women, and the rest of the Justice League of Eight Universes to evacuate Qward.
Around then, between universes...
Chaos of the past was drawing its arms into the dark void...releasing a wave of giant arms of darkness for The Justice League of Eight Universes and their close by allies.
Present Devastator Woman is about to charge for past Chaos.
Present Wonder Woman gets her golden lasso ready to reel in past Chaos.
Suddenly... Chaos's voice echoes, "uh-uh-uh! Chaos still saw you!"
With a outstretched arm of darkness... Chaos hard hurls Devastator Woman for a blur of space.
Teary eyed... Wonder Woman cries out, "Devastator Woman! !"
With a heated glare... Wonder Woman is fly charging for Chaos herself.
But... Just as quick... Two blurs of figures in Amazon battle wear battle cry and charge for her.
They're angrily slashing their red blurs of spirit energy blades against Wonder Woman's dark red spirit energy blade. Spirit energy sparks fly in blurs of universes.
And... Shattering glass space-time is beginning to sweep through all of time.
