Umm... I don't know why I haven't but my Wattpad account name is LizLikesWriting23. My name isn't Liz but it's what I write under on there. I'm telling you this now because I just released a MLB story on there. I rarely write on there but I've written mainly Tangled stories(my most popular being New Cass) but I've just released a new MLB pirate, renaissance, romance, assassin, story(confusing ik, but it makes sense). It's titled A Amor Sceleratus and the ship is mainly Lukagami(my fav) but there will be Adrinette and lots of other characters. Only chapter one is out but chapter two should be out by the end of the weekend. Anyway, just a little self-promotion but I genuinely love the plot I have planned for it and hope those of you who read it enjoy.

Chapter Eleven

A Second Chance

She'd lied. She didn't have to babysit her brother but she still not only wanted to go home but needed to. She felt bad for not talking to her sister. Only a few weeks had past and of course, she'd spoken to her, but it was obvious Blossom needed to heal herself. On the other hand, their parents had definitely talked to her. They weren't mad and of course, could tell she was sorry, but she could recall her mother mumbling to her how she should've spoken to her before she went and got an abortion.

But as a twin, she felt it was her responsibility to talk to her sister now that Blossom seemed more comfortable talking.

Pushing the apartment door open, she smiled with relief spotting Oliver angrily doing his homework while Blossom sat across from him, silently working on hers."Hey," she said, catching both her sibling's attention.

"I thought you were sleeping over?" Blossom said, peering up from her notebook. She looked normal and that seemed to be how she liked it. It shouldn't surprise her, for nearly a month she'd been hiding the fact she'd gotten an abortion and she'd been doing a pretty good job at that.

"I was," she said, cutting her sentence off there. Blossom didn't need a full explanation nor cared. Her twin - entirely aware the reason she'd come home was for her - simply hung her head back down, pretending to work out her algebra homework.

Lyric frowned, assuring herself she was doing the right thing."Hey can we talk," she whispered into her sister's ear. At her voice, Blossom almost instantly fell pale, trying to continue her homework while ignoring her twin.

"I don't..."

"Please," she begged, her voice peaking just too loud Oliver's attention was caught.

"What are you talking about?" the brown-eyed boy questioned, forgetting about his multiplication homework.

Lyric continued to pull her sister up, pausing her pace to answer her little brother." Periods," she lied aware that would get him off their back.

Oliver stuck his tongue out, repeatedly shaking his head."Gross," he mumbled, suddenly entirely focused on his homework, ignoring both his sister's presence.

Lyric grinned with satisfaction, pulling her twin into their bedroom. With the door shut, she finally released Blossom's hand." Leer, I really don't want to talk," she said, awkwardly lacing and unlacing her hands.

"I know, but we need to and you know that," Lyric said in a harsh but caring tone. She loved her sister and hadn't realized how much she'd been hurting. As her twin, she felt it was her job to make sure her sister was okay, and she hadn't. Of course, at the time she was dealing with the fact she was pregnant but she still could've noticed the obvious signs something was wrong.

Blossom looked up from herself, nodding her head. She'd felt disgusting about herself. She'd felt gross when she first went out with him, she felt gross even convening with him, and she now felt disgusting that she didn't simply tell anyone. Even if she'd just told her mom, she would've helped her, but no. She had to be independent and try to deal with her problems on her own.

"I know," she said quietly, sitting down beside her sister." I just didn't think I'd have to," she said, hugging her legs to her chest.

Rubbing her sister's back, Blossom tried her hardest to not shout the questions she still had no answers to."I know, but I think talking will help more than not," she suggested, not wanting to come off as pushy.

Blossom couldn't help but nod in agreeance."Ya," she hummed softly, resting her chin on the top of her knees she hugged tightly.

"We don't have to talk about anything you aren't ready to, but Bloss I'm here for you. You don't have to reach out to some scumbag to feel loved, because I do. We all do," Lyric assured her, trying to keep her voice down so her brother wouldn't grow suspicious. Their parents hadn't told him and she was pretty sure they didn't plan to.

"I know, but it's not the same," she mumbled quietly, fighting tears."There's a difference between your family loving you and someone else. Family is obligated to love, but a person like a boyfriend or a girlfriend isn't."

"Yes, your right," Lyric said with a frown in place. She knew her and Hugo's relationship had caused some of this pain because while she fell in love with the boy who used to be both of their best friends, Blossom was left behind."But Hugo and I are young to be in a relationship. For Pete's sake, we started dating at 13. Who does that!?" From that, she managed to get a faint chuckled from her twin."You'll find someone Bloss. It might be after high school or maybe you've already met them. Who knows. But I can assure you that you aren't unloved."

A smile appeared but lingered in bits as it slowly fell from the girl's face." Thanks Leer, I needed that," she said, continuing to hug her legs.

Lyric smiled brightly. She knew she hadn't solved the problem in any way but at least she'd managed to make her twin laugh. Because that's all she could do. This problem was one Blossom had to solve with herself and no matter what she did, she couldn't help with that process. But she could be there to make her sister laugh.

"Bloss," Lyric said, mindlessly rubbing her protruding stomach. In recent weeks it had grown more obvious but she could still cover it up with a baggy t-shirt."That night, you said something about how I didn't get yelled at. If you don't mind, could you tell me what you meant?"

Blossom thought back for a moment, frowning at the memory of Homecoming."Mom and dad didn't yell at you,"

Lyric nodded."Ya, what do you mean by that?"

"Oh," she hummed, averting her eyes from her sister. She felt guilt build within her and had to fight the urge to sob." When I..." she paused, not wanting to think back to when she found out she was pregnant." I knew he wouldn't want anything to do with me, and... it and I knew he wouldn't want to have any part of its," she stopped again, releasing a sigh as she tugged at her long navy hair." I was scared. I already felt alone and I didn't want mom and dad to be disappointed in me so I decided to get an abortion," she stated quickly.

Lyric frowned, able to hear the pain in her sister's voice as she spoke."What does that have to do with mom and dad not yelling at me?" she asked.

"I was scared they'd be mad. I was terrified and it was stupid," she said, anger turning towards herself."So when they told Oliver and me you were pregnant, and they seemed too nonchalant about it, I was so mad. Not at you but myself. I mean, mom and dad were teens when they had us, so why the hell would they be upset at me if I told them."

"Bloss they were still mad at me," Lyric told her in a calm tone."Of course, they didn't yell at me and Hugo but we still got spoken to,"

"But still, I should've known telling them would be fine and I wouldn't be a shame," Blossom's frowned deepened as she eyed her twin mindlessly rubbing her stomach, evident in the short-sleeved t-shirt sporting the logo of some band she knew she took interest in, but one she didn't know of. She didn't want to wonder what it would be like if she hadn't acted out and kept the baby. She wasn't sure if she wishes she had. Kids had been something she knew she wanted one day, but not at 16. She had dreams of going to college and becoming a professional pianist. She'd been playing since she was five and had always dreamed of it, a baby would've kept her from it. But seeing her sister, seeming to be so excited to have a little boy or girl, she could admit it made her wonder if she would've been happy."I was so angry at myself... so I took it out on you,"

Silence filled the space between the twins and unsteady horrible silence. Removing her hand from her bump, Lyric placed it on her sister's shoulder, gently rubbing it."It's okay,"

"No, it's not," Blossom interjected, face heating up as she tried to push her sister's hand away, "I said horrible things, called you horrible things. Leer, your not a slut. If anyone is, I am,"

Lyric frowned, slinging her arm over her sister's shoulder."Blossom, you're not-"

"I am-"

"Blossom Fae Couffaine," Lyric said, mentally laughing since she couldn't help but imagine her mom saying that."You are not a slut,"

Blossom's pitiful frown remained, unable to let herself believe that. She'd known what she was getting into when she agreed to go on a date with him. She'd known what could happen but of course, the thought of getting pregnant after one night didn't necessarily cross her mind." I'm sorry," she said shakily.

"It's okay,"

"I'm sorry Leery,"

"Bloss please stop apologizing," Lyric begged, beginning to feel her own tears spillover."You weren't in the right headspace and I know you didn't mean any of it."

Blossom stared up at her sister who was technically older than her shocked by what she saw. Concern and love. In the past months and possibly year, she'd felt so alone. Even before she made the choice to go out with a guy who just wanted to get with her and get an abortion she'd felt alone. Though she was surrounded with love by her siblings, parents, and family, she felt more alone than ever. But here she was, face to face with the person she'd been the meanest to. But this person wasn't frowning down at her, wanting an apology. No, she was worried about her. Worried about her! She loved her and was concerned for her well being. A love and concern she felt she didn't deserve.

"Why do you forgive me?" she asked, curious eyes staring up at her.

Lyric weakly smiled, playing with her sister's messy hair."I think everyone deserves a second chance. Especially you."

Hugging her sister tight, Blossom was scared of letting go. What if she'd dozed off? What if this was a dream that she'd wake up from to only find her sister despised her? What if-

Stop.

She hadn't tried before but made an attempt to stop the hate running through her mind constantly. She didn't want to think that way anymore. She wanted to move past all of this and forgive herself. To move past the fact she could be having a baby with her sister and learn to love herself again.
