Chapter Twenty Five

King Vegeta sat in the meeting room, his queen on his left. "It will be fine." The queen reassured him. "Remember, Vegeta said that she wants to be here."

"I can't help but feel guilty." A sigh left his lips as the meeting room door opened. Prince Vegeta walked in and a blue haired saiyan behind him. King Vegeta stood up and the queen smiled at her son. "Bulma, it's been too long. You may not remember me but I am King Vegeta."

Prince Vegeta felt in the back of his mind, an anger filled rage and glanced at Bulma. She didn't outwardly seem angered but he knew, for some reason, this triggered something in her. Clearing his throat, the prince put his hand against the small of Bulma's back and led her to a seat next to his. "Bulma, we are all here to help you in recovering your memories. This is what the meeting is about."

Bulma closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Did they want to put new memories in her head or were they actually telling the truth? It is true that she can't really remember anything before arriving on Frieza's ship, no childhood memories, with the exception of her most recent one. She never could say why there wasn't any memory there. Lord Frieza had told her that it's because the mind often forgets and forces back traumatizing memories and when Zarbon had found her that bad things had happened to her. If all of her previous memories were like the one uncovered recently, she didn't want to remember. "That sounds good, I hate that I can't remember my childhood. What did you guys have in mind?" It pained her to ask as she had no intention of following through with them.

"There are a few ways and I'm sure that you're skeptical of anything mechanical right now, so we hope to bring a few memories back by association. Take you places that you might remember something." The queen spoke, her voice soft and soothing. Bulma wondered if they had her do the talking to help make her relax.

"That makes sense. Who all will be watching me?" Bulma asked as if she were a prisoner and needed to be watched by guards.

"You'll have our son, Vegeta to accompany you in case you have a break down or have any questions." The queen smiled.

Bulma smiled. Maybe that was the younger son's name? It was more likely the prince who was next to her. Damn, she was sure to have heard his name at least once in passing by. How could she forget the name of the man beside her?

The king interrupted her thoughts. "This will also help you get to know the people and the planet." Bulma couldn't help the anger she felt whenever the man spoke. It took everything in her not to lash out at him.

"Thank you." Bulma spoke in the sweetest voice, catching Vegeta off guard. He had indeed felt the mixture of emotions in the blue saiyan. "This means so much to me." The prince wondered what about his father set the woman off.

"You are free here, and I want you to feel as welcome as possible." The king stood and the queen and prince followed suit. Bulma stood and inwardly rolled her eyes. This would be the hardest part of this mission. In her last mission, ,she was allowed to let her anger out whenever she needed to. The blue saiyan was allowed to kill, hear the screams of torture, and baith in the blood of her victims if she wanted to. Not that she did, the only blood she ever covered herself in was those of her target. No, the saiyans had to trust her before she killed the king. Lord Frieza had to give the okay before she could kill him.

Bulma glared at the back of the King's head as they all walked out but blinked before putting her facade back on. The prince put his hand on her back, guiding her down the familiar hallway that led to the training room and away from the ruling couple. When they were alone in the hallway, Bulma felt her mind clear up from all of the anger she felt and suddenly felt a soothing comfort in the back of her head. It almost let her take her guard down but when Bulma realized that something had to have been influencing her, she stopped.

"Woman, we are going to the training room to talk." the prince said, pushing lightly on her back to nudge her forward.

"I don't want to." Her words came out as a stutter and she had to clear her throat and shake her head before knowing what she wanted to say. "I want to go out. I want to remember."

"Don't lie to me woman. We need to talk first." Vegeta scowled. He had to get some information out of this woman that wasn't lies. "I need to know what's going on in that stubborn head of yours."

Bulma didn't budge from where she stood. He was not moving her. "Why can't we talk outside?"

"Woman. You don't trust me and I need you to."

"And you don't trust me. Looks like we are at a stalemate." Bulma smirked.

Getting agitated, Vegeta went to grab her to lift her up but the woman was much faster than he had expected and slipped away from him, turned, and grabbed his arm, flipping him on his back.

"Look prince, you aren't going to get anything unless you give me something first." Bulma only slightly regretted her words when she saw a flash of excitement in the man's eyes. This man was unlike many of the males on Frieza's ship. She knew that. This man wasn't one to back down from a challenge. He wasn't like Zarbon or Frieza either, who were both much more powerful than she was and could overpower her. That didn't mean she didn't challenge Zarbon many times to see how her strength and power grew closer to his. There was only one being that Bulma didn't dare challenge, and that was Lord Frieza. She had done it only once when she was new to the ship. During a meeting with Lord Frieza, Zarbon, Dadoria, and King Cold, Bulma had been insulted by King Cold and when Lord Frieza had told her to shut it, she decided to fight back. It had shocked everyone in the room but Frieza's anger got the better of him. Bulma had been in and out of the tanks for weeks and then sent on several degrading missions. There was no doubt in her mind that Lord Frieza would do it again despite all of her growth.

Vegeta saw the determination in the woman's eyes and then saw a flash of fear before turning stoic again. He had to find out what was going in her head. "Woman. What do you want?" He said calmly.

Bulma was shocked by the question. What did she want? She wanted to kill the king. She wanted to just be able to train, unhindered by the things around her. She wanted to go back to the planet she was on last month. There were probably some survivors she could practice on. "I want to go and try to regain my memories. I want to know what is real."

"You lie." Vegeta stood, not breaking eye contact. "That's what you're told to want. By who? I don't know. But that's not what you want." He chuckled. "How do you expect that we gain trust if you keep lying to me?"

She bit her tongue. Could she really be that bad at hiding her true intentions? It was obvious that the prince could tell she wanted something different but how long until he knew what she really wanted? This was not what she had trained for. "I want to cause pain." Her eyes flashed silver. Maybe if she let some of it out, she would come off as truthful. Half lies. "I want what causes my anger to die."

Vegeta inwardly sighed. How could his Bulma be so far gone? One thing was for sure, he would do his best to get her back. He could feel her in his head damn it! They were partially bonded mates whether she knew it or not. "Do you want to let off some steam?"

The blue haired saiyan nodded and walked to where she knew the training room was. The prince followed her and when she got to the room, she crossed her arms and looked at him.

Vegeta opened the door to the training room and let Bulma in first. "Woman, I still need answers to my questions." He locked the door behind him so she wouldn't be able to leave. Though there were windows in here, they were built in a way that they could withstand beatings and blasts. "You're not leaving until I get those answers."

Bulma's anger grew once again, causing her to punch the window. She wasn't surprised when it didn't break and looked at him, tears of anger starting to form in her eyes. "I caught him cheating on me! Is that what you want to hear? I got back from a mission just to find that bastard fucking some common whore! That's why I'm here earlier than expected. That's why I'm so fucking angry! She punched the window again, this time harder and her fist glowing white. The window still didn't budge. "I could have killed him where he stood. I could have blasted her to Kami! What did I do? I went and left. I couldn't wait to get out of that ship."

Vegeta walked up to the crying woman and wrapped his arms around her. She struggled, punching and kicking but he knew it wasn't to hurt him but because she had too much stored energy in her that she needed to get it out. It wasn't good to have a saiyan have so much energy bottled up. After holding her for a few minutes, she relaxed in his arms. "I'll kill him. He doesn't deserve to live." It was more of a promise to himself than a promise to her but saying it out loud felt good. He wouldn't be hurting her if the bastard died.

She didn't mind crying into his shoulder. Bulma had held her emotion in for too long. It hurt her, more than it should have. They were only together for two months and one of those months she wasn't even on the ship. Attempting to pull back, she found resistance. The prince wanted to hold her still. Once again there was a calming presence in the back of her mind. "How are you doing that?"

"Doing what?"

"Do you have something attached to me, on my skin? Something that gets into my mind?"

Vegeta chuckled. So she did feel it. "I don't have anything that I put on you. You and I are forming a bond. It's what happens when two saiyans mate."

"Mate. Like, fuck? We haven't fucked." Bulma pulled back from him.

"That's only part of it. We are currently forming a mental bond and will be able to tell what the other is feeling. And when the timing is right, you will bite me right here," he pointed to where his neck met his shoulder, "and I will bite you right here." His fingers reached out and touched Bulma's shoulder where it met her neck. "After that, we will be able to talk to each other telepathically."

Bulma remembered when she was in a heated situation with the man in front of her back on the ship when she felt the urge to bite him there. "Does it have to be during intercourse?"

"No. But I'm told that it feels better when it is. Why?"

"I've never heard of anything like that and I'm spurious as to how it works." Quick to change the subject, she turned around to face the windows. "Like how these work, or how you have gravity technology. I thought I invented it."

"Your father invented it, and you probably remembered how to make it from his designs." Vegeta immediately regretted his words when he felt the pain and anger fill Bulma again. "Your father?" He wasn't going to let this opportunity go. "Why does that anger you so?" Was that also why she got angry at his father? Was it fathers in general?

"That's not something that I'm going to talk about."
