Kaya misses her old friends as she is stuck at Hayley's cafe. Hayley can see that she is bored. Hayley walked to her. Kaya was thinking about how she is going to do since there is nothing she can do since she just finished school after doing the test a while back.
"Kaya," Hayley said.
"Yeah?" Kaya asked.
"Do you mind helping me out and possibly work here?" Hayley asked.
"You want me to work here?" Kaya asked.
"Yeah," Hayley said.
"Alright," Kaya said.
Hayley smiled and handed her the apron.
"I'm sure you can pick the skills up so quicky right?" Hayley asked.
"Yeah," Kaya said.
Kaya sees the people starting to come in and decided to help out. Trent and Kaya worked hard trying to get everyone's orders. Right now, Kaya is making smoothies as Trent brought a decaf latte to Cassie. Devin grabs Trent letting him reminds him about his order.
"Oh yea," Trent said.
Kaya finished making at least four smoothies. Trent walked to the counter and saw the smoothies.
"Whoa did you made this so many?" Trent asked.
"Yes, I figure I would give a head start so you can take smoothies to others," Kaya said.
"Thanks," Trent said.
"Welcome," Kaya said.
Trent took the smoothies and handed it to Devin. Anton walked into Hayley's Cafe hoping that he would see Trent and give him a ride home. Kaya got bad vibes from Anton but walks to Trent. Trent and Anton are talking. Kaya clears her throat. Trent and Anton looked at her.
"Trent, do you mind getting the coffee made please?" Kaya asked.
"Sure. Sorry, Dad. I gotta get back to work," Trent said before leaves.
Kaya looked at Trent before looking at Anton. Anton studied Kaya as he never has seen her before.
"Can I help you?" Anton asked.
"Did you any chance worked with Tommy Oliver?" Kaya asked.
"Yes, I did," Anton said, "How did you know?"
"Resource," Kaya replied with just one word before going back to work.
"She is a strange girl," Anton mumbled.
A little while later, it was after work and rush hour. Tommy came in to check on his baby sister. Kaya looked tired from working and making sure that she and Trent got the orders for everyone.
"Hey sis," Tommy said.
"Falcon!" Kaya exclaimed as she sees him.
Tommy hugs Kaya cause many people to look at them.
"What are you looking at? Mind your own business or I will put you in detention," Tommy said.
The people looked away minding their own business. Kaya giggled softly how much Tommy acting Teacher. Tommy looked at Kaya.
"What?" Tommy asked.
"You acting responsible," Kaya said.
"Really? Guess I am," Tommy joked.
Kaya punched Tommy's arm. Tommy yelped and rubs his arm while giving a glare at his sister. Kaya giggled softly. Trent walks to them as he was confused.
"Dr. O?" Trent asked.
"Yes?" Tommy said.
"Who is she?" Trent asked.
"She is my twin younger sister who was missing many years ago," Tommy said.
Kaya nodded.
"Oh. Um, Dr. O, do you mind taking me home?" Trent asked.
"I don't mind," Tommy said.
Kaya nodded.
"I want to get to know about this time period and maybe I can tell you what happened to me," Kaya said
"Alright," Trent said, "Thanks Dr. O for taking me home. I don't want Dad to get freak out if I am running late."
"Welcome, Trent. I don't mind," Tommy said, "Speaking of your dad, how come I haven't heard about you being his son the years I worked under him?"
"He didn't," Trent said, "He and my parents were working on the dig a few years back. There was a cave-in. My parents never got out."
"I'm sorry to hear that," Tommy said.
"Me too. You can know how Tommy felt when he lost me for years and thinking that I am dead," Kaya said.
"How did Dr. O felt losing you?" Trent asked.
"Horrible. From what I am told by my friends, he wouldn't speak to anyone for a long time until Kim manages to get him on the right track but only promise that he wouldn't be moping around," Kaya said.
"Is that true Dr. O?" Trent asked.
"Yeah," Tommy said.
"Did your dad took you in since he felt bad that you lost your parents?" Kaya asked.
"Yeah, he've been given me everything- a life in a home," Trent said.
As they got to Tommy's jeep and get in. Tommy starts the Jeep. Kaya is sitting in the backseat relaxing while listening to the boys talking. Then Kaya felt something is wrong and look behind the jeep to see someone is coming toward them.
"Watch out! Someone is coming!" Kaya warned.
Tommy looked at his mirror to see someone coming toward them.
"What the?!" Tommy mouthed.
Kaya knew that someone is after them but not sure who is it after now.
"Trent, look," Tommy said, "Did you see a..."
"A big gold guy running 50 miles per hour right behind us?" Trent asked.
Tommy stops the jeep as the gold guy hits the jeep and flew back. Kaya got a bad feeling that the gold guy is after her brother as usual. Kaya shakes her head.
"Why does all the bad guys are after my older brother?" Kaya thought.
Tommy, Trent, and Kaya unbuckled their seatbelts and got out. They were standing next to the jeep looking at the gold guy that is laying on the ground.
"What is that thing?" Trent asked.
"Oh, man. My insurance company's never gonna buy this," Tommy said.
"Shouldn't you have monster insurance on it?" Kaya asked.
"No," Tommy said.
The gold guy got up which is not normal for people. The gold guy stared at them.
"Which one of you is Dr. Oliver?" the gold guy asked.
Trent and Kaya looked at Tommy. Kaya is hoping that Tommy doesn't do anything stupid in front of Trent. Tommy took a small step forward to letting the gold guy know which Tommy.
"That'd be me," Tommy said.
"Then prepare for your demise," the gold guy said.
Kaya glared at the gold guy as Tommy got his battle face on which is normally you see the fighter in him ready to fight to protect his student and sister. When the gold guy starting to walk toward Tommy, Tommy pushes Trent away from him to protect him. Kaya watches while keeping Trent safe. Tommy kicks first and fights against the gold guy. Kaya could see that the gold guy is stronger than Tommy when Tommy almost broke his wrist.
"Come on big brother..." Kaya mumbled.
The gold guy threw Tommy over his head. Kaya growled and starts to attack the gold guy. The gold guy wasn't expected to see Kaya attacking him when his focus was on Tommy.
"Sis!" Tommy exclaimed.
"No one destroying my brother," Kaya growled.
"You bitch! You stand in my way of destroying the great Dr. Tommy Oliver," the gold guy said.
Kaya and the gold guy fought before Trent join to help Kaya.
"No, Trent! Kaya! Stay back!" Tommy said.
"I can help!" Trent said.
The gold guy managed to threw both Kaya and Trent to the ground. The gold guy was about ready to do the final blow against Kaya and Trent when the blast came from the Power Rangers. Kaya smirked softly before groaned in pain softly. The yellow dino ranger ran up to them.
"Trent? Kaya? Are you both alright?" Kira asked.
"Yeah," Trent said.
"We're both fine, Yellow Ranger," Kaya said.
"How did you know my name even her?" Trent asked.
"Uh..." Kira said.
"Trent, she knows mine and rescues me from the enemy after appearing 10 years since I disappeared. Plus, she is in touch with Mighty Morphin Rangers because I am from the past that accidentally sent to the future," Kaya explained.
Kira looked relief and looked at her teammates. Trent nodded understanding since it does make sense how Kira knew Kaya's name. Kaya and Trent were watching other Rangers fighting against the gold guy before Zeltrex appears.
"I was wondering when you'd show up," Connor said.
"You return with me at once," Zeltrex said.
"But, Father, my mission is not complete," the gold guy said.
Kaya gasped softly when heard that. That does get her very curious.
"Do as you're told," Zeltrex said.
"Yes, Father," the gold guy said.
Zeltrex and the gold guy left using the portal.
"Did he just call him 'Father'" Connor asked.
"I think so," Ethan said.
A little while later after the gold guy's defeated, Kaya was in Hayley's Cybercafe waiting for her brother to appears after hearing about the new landlord from Hayley since she didn't get there when that happened. She is hoping that her brother managed to talk to the council about the problem. Kaya saw Tommy came back with the councilwoman and realized that Tommy managed to tell her what happened. Kaya sees the men that came in with Anton and smirked softly.
"I wouldn't be so sure of that, Dr. Mercer," the councilwoman said, "My name is Eleanor Sanchez, councilwoman for the 33rd District. It is with great pleasure to meet you. I inform you the City Council has voted to put your purchase of this land on hold."
Tommy, Kaya, and slowly everyone else joined Hayley and the councilwoman. Anton saw Tommy standing behind Hayley and the councilwoman.
"You're part of this?" Anton asked.
Tommy nodded not feeling regrets as he knew that Anton needs to learn not to take Hayley's work from her.
"Actually, we had your son to thank. He made me realize that a place like this, a haven for learning and interaction for the youth of our community, is something that shouldn't be disturbed or changed," the councilwoman said.
"I was only trying to do what's best for my son. Well, I'll just be going, then," Anton said before he left.
Kaya smiled knowing that Trent did the right thing by telling the City Council but wonder where he is. Everyone started to cheers as they know that Hayley's Cybercafe is safe.
