DevilishPixelation1006: Uh … what?
DevilishPixelation1006: I would do that, but I use Zoom on my tablet, and it can't do that.
I don't really have anything to say lol.
Song of the Chapter: Uh … random random random, Blitzkrieg Bop by Ramones. That could work for this chapter.
I own nothing but the story.
Peter woke up the next morning feeling great.
The symbiote changed out of his pajamas into his normal clothes, and went into the kitchen, where most of the team was already awake. "What're you guys doing?" he asked, pulling out a bowl, milk, and some cereal.
"Today's your field trip," Bucky said with a smirk as Peter poured milk into his cereal. Peter stared at him, and only stopped when he realized that he was filling up his bowl too much. Everyone laughed and he said "Don't you dare do anything." Everyone nodded, but Peter had a feeling that they were going to do something on the trip anyways. Peter shook his head and finished his cereal quickly. "Alright, I'm going to go. See you guys later."
"Oh, we'll see you," Sam said. Peter sighed and his clothes turned into his suit. He took the usual way and swung to school. As he swung, he saw the building he and the Slayer had ruined in their fight the day before. He felt guilty, but the feeling of guilt went away almost immediately. Instead, he remembered how it felt to fight the Slayer. To finish it off like they did.
They?
Spider-Man shook his head. It was nothing.
He swung over to the school, and went in, making his way over to Mr. Harrington's classroom. From there, they would go on the trip when school started. He walked into the room and saw the other three already at the table. Eddie looked terrible. His eyes had bags under them, and Peter could see a large bruise showing for a second near the top of his chest before Eddie pulled his collar back up. "Hey," he said. "How was your weekend?"
Peter thought of how to answer that. He hung out with the Avengers and nearly got killed the day before. "Nothing out of the usual," he said. "How about you guys?"
"Same answer," MJ said, "hopefully today can change that." Peter rolled his eyes. She was totally bringing an empty sketchbook to sketch out the multiple faces he might make during the day. The bell rang then and everyone stopped talking.
"Alright, everyone," Mr. Harrington said, "as you know, today is our field trip to Stark Industries - "
Everyone except Peter cheered. Mr. Harrington went through what they should and shouldn't do, but Peter wasn't really paying attention. When it was time, they got out of their seats and to the buses. Peter sat next to MJ, while Ned sat next to Eddie.
The teachers went over the rules and procedures another time before the bus finally started.
"This is going to suck," Peter mumbled to himself.
He stared out the window for the majority of the bus ride. All he could think about was the impending doom that awaited him at Stark Industries.
When they finally got there, they got off and went into the building, where a guide was waiting for them. "Hi! My name is Gwen, and I'll be your guide today," she said happily. "Now, come with me to get your badges." Gwen smiled at Peter. He waved at her a bit. Everyone who worked at the tower knew who Peter was. They followed Gwen and received their own visitor badges. Except Peter. Flash raised his hand, probably to ask about that, but the guide seemed to be helping students with their badges. When it was Peter's turn, he took his bag off of his back and dug through it. He never really used the badge much since he always came in through the window.
"Uh, Peter, what's taking so long?" Mr. Harrington asked. Everyone else was curious as well.
"Just a second," Peter said, emptying his bag. A book fell out wide open and he found the pass. He was using it as a bookmark for that one. "Got it," Peter said. He got up and swiped it. "Peter Parker, level 10. Threat level: 94%. Would you like Boss to know that you're here?"
"No," Peter said plainly. Everyone stared at him, but he paid them no attention. Everyone else swiped their card and went through. Flash pushed to get in front of everyone else, but he heard someone say "No! Stop!"
Everyone else stopped, but Flash took a step forward before looking back. Suddenly, whipped cream shot in his face. Peter looked at him and laughed a little. Someone had rigged a trip wire to shoot whipped cream at whoever fell for the trip wire. And Peter saw that someone walk over to them.
"Damn it! That was supposed to be for Peter!" Shuri said, frustrated.
"Did you really try and prank me?" Peter said, amused. His Spider Sense would've warned him. "It was worth a shot," she said. She smiled at Peter's classmates. "Hello, Peter's friends! I'm Shuri, and - "
"Are we supposed to bow?" Ned asked Peter, who shook his head. "Um, no, we don't do that in Wakanda," Shuri said.
"Flash, uh, why don't you clean up in the restroom?" Mr. Harrington told Flash, who was shocked, confused, and embarrassed. He nodded and left for the restroom.
"Peter knows the princess of Wakanda?" asked a student.
Peter shrugged and Shuri said "Hey, what happened to your hair?"
"What do you mean?"
"It's really dark now."
"Is it?"
She nodded. "Well, I'm going to go now."
"Are you still going to try and prank me?"
She shrugged and left.
Everyone stared at Peter for a bit and Mr. Harrington said "Okay, so uh, let's wait for Flash so we can move on."
Flash came out of the restroom and glared at Peter, who glared right back. Flash stopped and Peter saw a bit of fear in his eyes.
"Alright, let's move on," Gwen said. She led them over to a large door and opened it up. "This is the lower level lab. This is where our interns work."
"So this is where you supposedly work?" Flash muttered to Peter. He smirked and said "No, I'm Mr. Stark's personal intern."
"Yeah, right," Flash said, rolling his eyes.
"You are welcome to look around, but don't touch anything," said Gwen. They all started looking at all of the projects people were working on. Peter looked around as well and was impressed, but wasn't as excited as the other students were. They saw cooler things than this on a daily basis.
Peter paused. There he was with that "they" again. It was nothing.
After a couple of minutes, they were led out of the lab. Peter's Spider Sense went off, and he smiled. "Why don't you keep on crawling, Clint," he said. Everyone looked at him, wondering what he was talking about when they all heard someone say "Fuck," from the vent. Suddenly, the vent cover flew off and Clint jumped out of the vent. "Hello, Peter's class!" he said happily. Everyone in the class was excited to see Hawkeye, but Peter said "What did I just say?"
"Peter, I'm older than you," Clint said.
"Hey, remember that time Mr. Stark was wondering who put expired milk in his suit?"
Clint's eyes widened. "You wouldn't dare."
"Oh, yes I would," Peter said with a smirk on his face. Clint looked around at the others and said "I've gotta go, Peter's class. Have a nice day."
Everyone stared at Peter, but he simply said "To be honest, I kind of expected them to try to embarass me."
"You know the Avengers?!" said the class. Peter shrugged and Gwen said "Now, here is the Avengers Museum, a part of the tower that is dedicated to explaining the history of the heroes we know and love."
"Alright, you can all take a look at the exhibits, and be back here in an hour, we'll go to lunch after," Mr. Harrington said. Everyone split and went to look at the exhibits. Peter, MJ, Ned, and Eddie stayed together. "Hey, it's the Iron Man exhibit," Eddie said, going over. They followed and read the paragraphs detailing the origin and fun facts about Iron Man.
"I can't believe you know him," Eddie said, a hint of jealousy in his voice. "Do you ever help him with the suits?"
Peter nodded. "I helped him with the latest one." Eddie stared at him in awe.
"Hey, there's one for Spider-Man!" Ned said, pointing to a Spider-Man exhibit. They went over to it and saw his homemade suit and his normal suit. Mr. Stark always told him he had extras. Not that they were going to get used. He had a much better suit in the symbiote.
There was a brief history on Spider-Man at the exhibit. It talked about how he got his powers, his early crime fighting career, and his more recent battles with the Vulture and his crew.
"He doesn't like spiders?" Eddie asked incredulously, looking at the fun facts section. "But he's Spider-Man."
Peter shrugged. "Maybe he has a good reason."
Peter suddenly felt someone grab his shoulder. He looked to see who it was and saw Flash. "Hey, Penis, you know, it's really pathetic the lengths you went to to try and make it look like you're actually an intern here."
"Get your hand off of me," Peter said calmly.
"Hey, how much debt are you in, you know, after paying these people so much to pretend to know you."
Peter grabbed Flash's wrist and slammed it against the wall. "Shut it, Eugene. We're tired of your whining."
Flash looked scared now. "You can't do anything to me," he said, trying to sound tough. "I'm stronger and smarter than you."
Peter snickered. He tightened his grip on Flash. "Do you wanna test that theory?"
"Peter!"
Peter turned around and saw Steve walking towards him. "Yes?" he said, letting go of Flash.
"Peter, that was unacceptable behavior."
"I was putting him in his place."
"Peter. Pull another stunt like that, and I'll see to it that you don't enjoy the rest of the week at the compound. Bullying is not allowed, even if you're bullying a bully."
Peter just rolled his eyes when Steve started walking away. Everyone stared at him, but then back at the captain, trying to get autographs or photos or things like that.
"What was that?" MJ asked him. He shrugged. "Nothing that was a big deal."
"It was pretty awesome," Eddie supplied. MJ looked like she was going to ask him about something, but saw Eddie was there, so held off.
Before they knew it, their hour was up, and they were heading to lunch.
Whee a decent length chapter. Actually, all of the chapters have seemed to be a pretty decent length. But still.
This one is a bit shorter than the other chapters, but I like it a lot. The fight was especially fun to write.
