Scar's Survival
Chapter 11 Information
Upon the Queen's return that evening, she could tell there had been a redistribution of power within her Guard. Moyo was licking some fresh wounds, the other sub-males were avoiding him. Scar was acting confident, but less arrogant then when he had first arrived. Dubwana had undoubtedly put him in his place, but he was no longer some low ranking male. Shaba would seek conformation later, but it seemed Scar was now ranked just below the other generals. That seemed a befitting place for him, in her opinion.
Scar knew he could not just assume Shaba would be welcoming towards him. She may act indifferently unless she wanted his company, like she had with Dubwana. Still he watched her as she came back from her day. She talked with all the generals as she normally did. They would inform her of Scar and Moyo's new rankings within the Guard. Scar doubted she would see him as an actual general as Dubwana had proclaimed him. He hardly knew any of them very well or the situation that their pride was in. Scar wasn't knowledgeable enough to be put in charge of anything significant.
When Shaba had finished talking with her generals she came over to Scar and stood before him.
"Scar, please stand," Shaba commanded.
Scar did as was requested, a bit confused.
"I hereby proclaim you General Scar: Keenest of Tactics of the Lion Guard of the Great Plains Pride," Shaba announced. "It seems we now have some things to discuss. Come. I will fill you in on the more intrinsic details…"
Shaba then turned and headed into her little cave. It was still far from dusk, she rarely retired for the day so soon. Regardless Scar followed her inside. Ukuta was fuming…
Inside the small cave Shaba turned to Scar.
"Sit down," she instructed. "As a general of my Guard, there is information you need to know. Things that the sub-males aren't aware of. But if you are to help me retake the throne, you must know them. In exchange I expect you to be forthcoming with me about your past. So far only bits and pieces here and there about what happened at Pride Rock have reached us here on the Great Plains. I want to know fully how you ruled as King. And what went wrong. So that I can avoid your mistakes…"
Scar nodded in agreement. "I will tell you what you wish to know," he stated. "Though you may not like the story…"
"It doesn't matter what I think of your politics," Shaba stated. "I need to know if I can truly trust you with my life. I trusted you with my body last night. You empowered me but also exposed my weaknesses. In exchange I did the same for you. You are now a respected general within my Guard. But this exposes you to criticism and to challenges."
"What do you want to know?" Scar asked.
"What is your name?" Shaba asked. "Your birth name, not this nickname Scar…"
"I was born Prince Taka of Pride Rock," Scar replied. "I never go by that name anymore and I hardly see how it is relevant to you requesting my help to retake your kingdom…"
"Alight then, tell me about your Guard. You said it failed at some point. What happened to it?"
"I had the members of my Guard killed," Scar stated.
"Why?"
"Treason," Scar stated. "They were not loyal to me, only to my brother, King: Mufasa. I was their leader, as Mufasa's younger brother I was entitled to it. But they never truly respected me. They were all dominate over me. My brother allowed this to happen. He didn't care that I fell to the lowest ranking male within the pride. I was resentful. So I sought to take back some of this power. I enlisted the help of my friends: a clan of hyenas. I told my Guard they had a simple choice, they could either respect me for my place as second in line to the throne or they could be eliminated…"
"I took it that they chose the latter…" Shaba inferred.
"Yes…" Scar stated. "I wish I hadn't needed to kill them. But sometimes it's the only option left…"
"And you never made another Guard?"
"No. I trusted the hyenas more than any lion. I had no need for a Guard."
"How did you brother, King Mufasa, take this alliance with the hyenas?"
"I didn't tell him," Scar stated. "I told him the Guard had died in a terrible accident: a rock slide that burred them all…"
Shaba's eyes narrowed. "And he believed you?" she questioned.
"It did help that I put their bodies underneath some rocks," Scar stated. "They were mostly buried though so the hyena wounds couldn't be clearly seen. Mufasa was never the brightest lion…"
"I see…" Shaba groaned. "So how did you become King? Did you challenge your brother?"
"No. Mufasa and his son, my nephew, died in another, tragic accident…"
"Did they?" Shaba said sarcastically. "Did you cause this tragic accident too?"
"Yes, I did," Scar stated firmly. "I murdered my brother by throwing him off the side of a cliff. And I ordered my loyal hyena clan to kill his son…"
Shaba seemed unmoved by Scar's revelation. "That aligns with what we've been told," Shaba stated. "So you killed off all your competition. You had a loyal clan of hyenas to enforce your rule over the unwilling lionesses. Sounds reasonable enough for a dictatorship. So tell me Scar… What went wrong when you became King?"
Scar chuckled. "What didn't go wrong would be a shorter answer…" Scar stated. "Well, let's see… Sarabi, my brother's wife, said we overhunted because of the added hyena clan. The droughts in the dry season were excessively severe under my reign. The wet seasons were shorter. Our waterhole dried up, the herds didn't stay on our lands. The pride lands of Pride Rock were in ruins after four years under my rule as King…"
"Seems like nothing was truly your own fault, expect for bringing more hungry mouths to feed to your lands," Shaba reasoned. "So tell me, what lion was stupid enough to want your ruined lands bad enough to challenge you for them?"
"My nephew, Simba," Scar stated. "It seemed that the most important task I delegated to my hyenas they failed to complete. Mufasa's son had run away and returned after Nala, Sarafina's daughter, found him…"
"How would Nala have known were to find Simba?"
"I have no idea… I don't even know who raised Simba. He was still a small cub, unable to hunt or care for himself when I last saw him. Yet he showed up, the spitting image of his father. He challenged me for the kingdom. He found out I murdered his father. The lionesses aided him with the hyenas while we fought… I tried to distract Simba, telling him it was the hyena's fault at one point. Shenzi, the matriarch of the clan, must have heard. With her help I could have defeated Simba. But instead she turned on me. Leaving me for dead…"
"And here you are…" Shaba stated.
"And here I am," Scar confirmed.
"It seems from your story that you were successful, at least in the short term," Shaba pondered. "Misfortune seems to be a key factor in your lands falling into ruin. Although adding too many hyenas was probably not a very good idea…"
Scar stat quietly as Shaba analyzed his story.
"You got yourself to the top. You were King," Shaba stated. "But how do I know that I can trust you to not and try to usurp me, once I retake my kingdom?"
"Simple," Scar replied. "No one knows me here, no one would follow my leadership, even if I were the last general left. I have no friends. Save for Moyo, but he's hardly the same force as a large clan of hyenas. I have no power, I'm not the royal bloodline of your pride. If I betray you, I'm sure any one of your loyal Guard members would gladly kill me, with or without your permission…"
"That's right," Shaba stated. "I am the one with the power here. Albeit very little power… So do you think you can help me avoid your mistakes? Take me to the top as you once did for yourself?"
"I will try," Scar stated. "I can't promise anything, as I have nothing to offer, other than myself and Moyo's alliance."
"Would you be willing to swear your life in allegiance to me?" Shaba asked intently. "Do you think Moyo would be willing to do the same?"
Scar thought for a moment. Swearing allegiance to Shaba could behold great advantages to him. But at the same time, his life was at her disposal. And if he refused her, she could simply execute him…
"What would I have to gain swearing my life to yours?" Scar stated. "The prize for joining your Guard is a mate when you retake your kingdom. A prize I don't covet, as most lions do. If I am to risk my life for yours, and be expected to serve you loyally, what possible benefit could you bestow upon me once you become Queen that I might actually care about?"
A mischievous smile spread across Shaba's face. She had something in mind that Scar would definitely like…
"From your arrogant attitude when you first arrived and in listening to your story about how you became King, I have concluded that the only thing you truly care about Scar, is power," Shaba proclaimed. "Am I wrong?"
"No, that is a fair assessment," Scar agreed. "I am selfish, arrogant, and power driven…"
"An asset in my current situation," Shaba continued. "But to seek assistance without reward? We can't have that… No. You're current position and any power you could possibly have here will always come from me… You cannot steal it or try to claim it as your own. Agreed?"
"Yes."
"So your great reward for serving me?" Shaba asked. "What should it be? The only thing I see worthy would be to make you: my King…"
Scar was truly stunned by Shaba's offer. He had expected a promotion, perhaps a deed of some lands if he had wanted his own pride. But to be offered the title he had once had, the title he had coveted for so long, that had nearly driven him to madness… It could not be true! Could it?
Scar's green eyes seemed to glow brighter as he pondered Shaba's offer. Exactly as she had intended. To control Scar she would have to keep him close. What better way to do that than to make him her mate? He was much older than her, he would never outlive her. Even if Scar did, he was not of her royal bloodline, his power and influence would be gone after her death. He was not a threat without her there to back him up. Shaba's cunning plan to manipulate and control Scar as a means to retake her kingdom could not possibly go wrong… Unless he refused…
"Well isn't that a fascinating idea…" Scar finally replied. "But King Consort never has much power… In comparison to the Queen…"
"I have the power to give and the power to take Scar," Shaba reminded him. "If you want more control, all you would need to do is ask for it…"
Shaba got up and walked over to Scar. She placed her lips with her saber teeth very close to his ear…
"Think about it Scar…" she whispered in his ear. Her warm breath on his skin, her exciting, enticing proposal. "We would rule, together. You would be a King once more. You would submit to no one, except me… And you seem to like doing that…"
Scar took in a deep breath, letting it out slowly. He hadn't realized he'd been panting. He was trying to focus on what Shaba was saying, but it was becoming harder and harder to comprehend his thoughts clearly…
"You belong to me already Scar, even if you don't want to admit it…" Shaba whispered seductively, circling him, rubbing him with her soft fluffy mane. "You are mine!"
A memory flooded Scar's mind:
"You will belong to me and I will belong to you…" Shenzi stated.
"Like mates?" a young Scar asked.
"In a way… yes," Shenzi replied snidely. "If you help me become matriarch of the clan, I'll do whatever you want… I will be yours… But you will be mine!"
"You won't betray me?" Scar asked. "You won't just use me for what you want and then cast me aside when you've gotten your use out of me? You won't try to kill me?"
"No, Scar," Shaba replied. "I promise I won't."
"How can I be sure?" Scar growled. "There is no one here to hold you accountable!"
"Oh but there is…" Shaba stated.
She shoved Scar to his side, wrapping her warm, wet lips around Scar's distracting force. Scar gasped and moaned as he struggled to stay coherent of the complex situation he was trying to negotiate.
"This right here, will insure I never betray you Scar…" Shaba said between licks. "You were right last night when you said my needs weren't being met. That they needed to be addressed for me to be successful. You're the only one Scar who finds me so… exciting…"
"Shaba, please!" Scar gasped. "I can't think!"
"Exactly…" Shaba continued as she caressed his testicles in her paws. "I never dreamed of being able to seduce a lion so easily. Dubwana manages, but only with great effort. I'm sure keeping his eyes closed helps tremendously. The few others that have tried have either failed or are unsuitable as my consorts…"
Scar shuddered at her touch. Every muscle in his body was tense. His hard pink organ, was now a swollen bright red from all of Shaba's teasing. He was beginning to growl. He was in need of desperate relief…
"Tell me what you want Scar," Shaba said sweetly. "I'll give you everything you could ever want…"
"I want YOU!" Scar screamed. He leapt up and pounced on top of Shaba, throwing her down. Scar grasped the back of her neck tightly in his teeth as his organ prodded to find her wet spot. Shaba raised her tail and arched her back, guiding him into her. Once found, Scar growled even louder, thrusting with unrelenting vigor. It was Shaba's turn to moan and gasp. She had never know such passion as what she received from Scar. Her cries echoing in the small cave. They were quickly drowned out by Scar's booming roar and he penetrated her deeply finally fulfilling his painful needs…
"Damn it Shenzi!" Scar growled as he nearly collapsed next to Shaba.
"What?!" Shaba asked.
"Damn it Shaba!" Scar growled again in annoyance. "You're going to kill me at this rate…"
"Stop being so dramatic," Shaba purred. "You just don't like not being in control. You were in control last night, showing me all your little tricks. But now I'm the one showing you my tricks and you don't like it…"
"From who would you learn your own tricks if no one fucks you?" Scar questioned.
"That answer is for another time," Shaba replied. "First answer me. Will you swear allegiance to me?"
"Yes," Scar groaned. "I will. I'll speak to Moyo about it, he'll likely agree to it too…"
"Excellent!" Shaba said excitedly. "Now, I suggest you get some sleep. Tomorrow, you're coming with me…"
