Ricky POV

"Okay, let's get this over with."

The Impostor nods. "Good to see you have come to your senses."

Senses, sure. I need to keep remembering myself that Grace was going to die anyways. There is no way he's letting two people live, that was just to mess with me even further.

"What is the plan now?"

"Edgar has most likely locked himself into his quarters. I need you to go and steer up the other two crewmembers, while I wait for my countdown to end so I can kill him."

"Countdown, what countdown?"

'Kyle' grins again, a very unpleasant sight to see. I'll tell you that.

"There are rules in play here. I could easily kill everyone in a second, but that wouldn't be a challenge. There have to be at least 10 minutes between each kill I make. I just killed Grace, I have about 8 minutes left before I can kill again."

My hatred for this Impostor is growing with every second that passes. They are just playing with our lives.

"Go now. Once they start talking they will realize it has to be either you or me and with Grace gone to verify your story, it's you who they will eject."

I nod and run away towards the Navigation room, ready to stir the other two up.

I run through Weapons, which was once my domain. What am I saying, it was my domain this morning.

Dereck and Sofia are standing near the door. They are knocking, but there doesn't seem to be a reaction.

"So he isn't coming out?"

"No of course not. Would you if the others wanted to kill you?" Dereck answered.

"I suppose not."

Sofia looks past me, but doesn't seem to find what she's looking for.

"Didn't Grace come with you?"

Crap. They can't know Grace is gone.

"She's sleeping in Medbay. She didn't feel too good so I decided to leave her there."

"What kind of you, so uncharacteristic," Sofia says, before turning back towards the door.

"Please captain, you don't have to worry. None of us here want to eject you, well maybe Ricky. Can't we just talk."

"We can talk through the door just fine," Edgar reacts.

Sofia POV

Finally the captain answers. Dereck and I have been here for minutes trying to reach him.

"Okay, how are you doing in there?" Dereck asks.

"I'm fine." It sounds a bit grumpy.

"We won't throw you out of the ship. I know it wasn't you who killed Chen. We were in this room together when the lights went out, remember?"

"Well maybe he killed Chen before that?" That was Ricky, but Dereck quickly reacted.

"No that's not possible, because Chen called for me after the lights went out."

"Maybe the captain sneaked out after the lights went out?"

Ricky seems to be trying really hard, maybe a bit too hard.

"I arrived there first, there is no way the captain could have made that kill."

"See? We just cleared your name captain! We won't eject you."

Ricky, on the other hand, seems to be even more quiet than usual.

"Where were you when the lights went out Ricky?"

I turn around and from the corners of my eye I see Dereck do the same.

Ricky does a step back.

"I was with Grace, where else?"

Dereck steps forward, positioning him between Ricky and me. I see some fear in Ricky's eyes, are we looking at the Impostor right now?

"Than why don't you and I wake Grace to see if she can verify your story."

Ricky steps back further, now clearly uneasy.

Meanwhile, the captain has gone silent.

"Captain Edgar, can you come out please, I think we have found the Impostor."

Ricky POV

Crap crap crap. The Impostor can have a lot of wishes, but he's not the one about to be floated right here. I'm out of here. I turn around and run, as fast as I can.

"Get him!" I hear Dereck call behind me.

How much time has passed since the Impostor has killed Grace? Not ten minutes yet. I wish 'Kyle' would hurry up and kill Edgar. Two versus two is a way more favorable matchup.

In Cafeteria, that seems like the place to end it all. I run till the end and turn around, now facing both Dereck and Sofia who came right after me.

"Where's the captain?" Dereck asks Sofia.

"I don't know, I guess he's on his way."

"We can handle Ricky with the two of us."

I grin.

"Are you sure Dereck? If I am the Impostor I could kill both of you without you even bothering."

I hope I can bluff my way out of this, but the truth is I just need to stall them long enough so Kyle can get here.

Edgar POV

It seems they have left. Apparently Ricky is now the suspect.

I'm sitting on my captain's chair. This entire crew is falling apart. I didn't hear Grace's voice, dear God I hope she is okay.

Turning my head, I look through the glass. The vastness of space is closing in on us it feels. Earth looks liberating though, and it feels so close.

Realistically, I don't think we are going to make it. Ricky could be the Impostor, but we aren't sure about that.

There's a strange sound, coming from the wall on my right. When I turn around I see Kyle leaving a vent behind.

"How on earth did you travel through there?"

"I think you know."

I think I do. This isn't Kyle.

"So you killed Chen?" I ask.

The creature, looking like Kyle, nods. "And Riley."

I don't move, I know I am lost. While I keep my eyes pointed towards the Impostor, I reach behind me with my hand to press a small button. This will cause everything in the room to be recorded. I hope that, if this ship ever makes it back home, people can learn something.

"And you can travel through the air vents?"

The Impostor nods again. "I can travel through everything, but the vents on this ship are the easiest yeah."

There is still one question I want answered.

"And Helen, was she an Impostor too?"

I feel a sense of relief going through me when 'Kyle' nods.

"This was a two man job. The Impostor portraying Helen killed her during the first week and threw her body overboard. We failed to do the same with Kyle's dead body, you weren't supposed to find that."

"Why not?"

"Well that would lead you to me right? I don't really understand why it hasn't yet, I suppose it is so gruesome your minds avoid thinking about it."

I realize he is right. When we were discussing who could be the Impostor, we mentioned every death, but the unidentified body in the Reactor always caused me to stop thinking. Even now, it gives me the shivers when I think back to the moment we found it.

"I suppose you are here to kill me now?"

The Impostor nods again.

"Yeah, that would be the logical next step."

"There are four people out there, most likely together. They will figure out it was you."

'Kyle' nods. "Maybe, but that is not for you to worry about anymore."

"How will you do it?"

He walks towards me and I see how his fingers grow in size.

"Believe me captain, I do have respect for you. All this killing, it wasn't personal. Not to me anyways. It's just a game, a tradition for my kind. It gives me no joy to kill you, but I do what must be done. You did the best you could, considering the circumstances. Now you rest."
