Richard fidgeted in his seat as he quietly awaited Quinn to bring a shirt for him to wear. He could hear her footsteps getting closer making him sit straighter. What am I doing? Why did I come back?! It's not too late to run, Rachel.
Quinn wobbled a little since her ankle was still swollen but still managed to get a shirt for him. Sitting down next to him she let out a sigh of relief, and handed the shirt over to him, "Here."
"Thank you" he smiled at her, standing up and putting on the shirt she had given him. "You should put that ice pack back on your foo—what?" he finished putting on the shirt, only to tilt his head in confusion as to why Quinn was blatantly just staring at him.
As if snapping out of a daze Quinn looked away, a slight pink color showing on her cheeks. "Sorry, I was thinking about cheerio practice" she cleared her throat.
Ah, understandable… after all, she doesn't know what punishment awaits her if her ankle doesn't get better. Hopefully by tomorrow it would be fixed. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw Quinn trying to get up from the couch, "What are you doing?"
Quinn looked up at him confused, "What?"
"What are you doing? Stay seated, your ankle needs to rest more now that you exerted it by getting a shirt for me." He catches himself when his hand instinctively goes for his hip, "Tell me where you keep the movies, that way you don't have to stand."
Quinn gave him a small laugh making him smile, she pointed toward the movies, "I've seen most of them so, pick whatever you want."
Richard searched through all the movies, and the most interesting one that he saw was a romance/comedy. Well this will do, I hope is not too bad of a movie.
After Quinn explained how her DVD player worked, he quickly put in the movie. He awkwardly sat next to the blond, his hand on his lap. He didn't quite know if he should relax or not, at any moment Quinn could decide to kick him out, maybe even get somebody like Puck or Santana to come beat him up.
Quinn's voice hits his ears making him grow stiff. "Relax, I won't eat you", she chuckled laying back into the couch, completely relaxed.
Richard looked at her, brown eyes meeting relaxed hazel ones. He has never experienced this side of Quinn and it was making his heart beat faster. Relaxing a little he took her same position, "Sorry… I'm used to you having a bad mood around me" he let out a small chuckle.
Quinn hummed not really retorting to the words that had come out of his mouth.
Maybe staying for that movie wasn't as bad of an idea as he thought. Richard felt his body relax further as they both continued to watch the movie in silence.
They were maybe an hour in to the movie and neither of them had spoken much to each other. It wasn't exactly an awkward silence but he couldn't help but feel like he should have said something by now. I'm spending time with Quinn but I can't even make conversation! Come on Rachel, talk… He pondered for a little bit thinking what would be a good topic. Should I talk about the weather? Maybe Cheerio practice, or maybe even Glee? Wow, is this the first time I'm at a loss for words?!
"Listen, I'm sorry for what I've done to you so far."
Richard blinked for a second not really understanding the situation. Quinn was apologizing to him?! He never thought Quinn had it in her to apologize. He opened his mouth to answer but Quinn didn't let him.
"I don't know why I act the way I do around you, I don't know why it bothers me when you look at me, but I also don't want you to stop looking at me the way you do. You make me feel so—so…" Quinn went silent as if not finding the word that could finish that sentence.
Richard looked at her intensely, knowing somehow that the word that would best finish that sentence would be 'vulnerable'. He doesn't know why Quinn was telling him all this, seemingly out of nowhere but if they were getting their feelings out there then he might as well be honest. He stopped looking at her, his gaze returning to the movie. You can do this Rachel, just out right say it! "I like you…" he gulped, well more like I love you but we haven't known each other that long in this body, FOCUS RACHEL! "I… can't really explain why, but I know there is so much more to you than just your popularity."
Quinn chuckled but somehow it came out as if mocking his words, "I am nothing without my popularity."
"I think you are wrong!" He exclaimed quickly, catching Quinn by surprise "I think that there are many sides of you than just the HBIC of McKinley." He looked into her beautiful hazel eyes, curiosity swimming in them as if waiting for him to continue. He licked his lips trying to swallow the lump in his throat, "I like the side of you that likes to read every chance she gets," he paused, chuckling as he spoke, "I also like the side of you that always seems to want to steal Finn's sandwich just because she loves bacon" he looked at her, his face turning serious "but the one that impresses me the most is the one that likes to sing with her fellow Glee clubbers."
The air seems to still as if waiting, anticipating what was going to happen. The blond seemed to wait, her eyes shifting between the brown eyes that seemed to emanate adoration and love. She had never experienced something like that… Or maybe she has… she has seen this look before on a person that was no longer in her life… she had never confronted the person but she knew what would have lied ahead, she was afraid to even confront it, but they are gone and she cannot ever tell them the truth, that she knew and how she felt. Richard… he seemed to awake the same kind of feeling, as if she was the only one… she couldn't help the tears forming in her eyes, as to why, maybe memories of a love that would never happen or the intensity of the one facing her now.
Richard seemed to panic as Quinn's eyes start to water, his arms instinctively wrapping around her. He could feel her cuddling up to him as if his chest was relaxing her of all these emotions.
They both lock eyes once again. Quinn's eyes looking up at his, her hand caressing his cheek, as if guiding him towards her lips. Their kiss seemed to spark emotions as if creating a flood of everything that has been holding him sane.
Richard pulled her onto his lap, Quinn smoothly putting her hands under his shirt, only parting their lips for a second, to take his shirt off. He could feel her hands going down his chest as if knowing the destination. His mind was thinking a mile a minute wait… Wait! I need to stop this! Rachel, what about marriage! We can't do this here in the living room! At least invite me to dinner first, gosh. Wait, am I ready to lose my virginity? His mind was interrupted as Quinn started to grind on his lap. Forget it, todays the day.
The brunette seemed to lose all sense of thought, he laid Quinn on the couch, placing her under him, for a moment she was caught by surprise, her wandering hands wrapping around his neck keeping their lips pushed together.
As soon as she felt her back hit the couch, her hands continued to make their way across his skin, she did not know what she was doing but it all seemed so natural between them, she couldn't think straight, she just wanted to reach his—
Two loud bangs seemed to ring out, making Richard quickly jump away from the blond, while Quinn perched herself up, still in a daze of what was happening at that moment. But seemed to focus again when she heard the loud knocking on the door.
She got up, straightening herself a little, a bit irritated that she was interrupted, she looked through the peephole in the door to see Puck on the other side.
"Puck?!"
Richard's eyes opened in surprise, Oh no! What is Noah doing here!
"Hey babe, I've been calling you! Why is it taking you so long to open the door?"
