"What do you mean we have to wait to see the Queen?!" Skysong shouted. They had reached the Rainforest kingdom the day before, and they had been knocked out and they had been told no hunting when they woke up, and given fruit instead of meat. All of that on top of not getting a goodnight's sleep were probally not helping Skysongs bad mood. "Sorry... no one gets to see the Queen before anyone else." the poor RainWing that was taking them around the village was cowering before Skysong, nervously fidgeting with his claws. "We can wait." Frostfire said, attempting to restrain Skysong from attacking the RainWing. "Um... It's suntime, can I go?" he asked hopefully. "Sure." the hapless RainWing, at his dismissal, flew off as fast as he could. RainWings were giving them disproving of them had flown off to attend to their 'suntime', whatever that was. Soon, there was only a sleepy looking blue RainWing and a dark red one. The dark red one stomped into the large, open hut that the RainWing Queen resided in. "Next!" the sleepy RainWing had flown off and Frostfire and her friends rushed up to take his place. When they entered, they saw a young RainWing sitting upon a small wooden seat, the wood made to seem like it was swirling around the Queen. "Why are you here in the Rainforest." Glory stated. It wasn't a question, but something that was not allowing any room to not answer. "Your most wonderful highness, we have come to you in a time of great peril, facing many ob-" Swordfish began "Spit it out. What do you need me to do?" Queen Glory told him. "Cleverclaws, is this the SeaWing you fell into company with?" "Yes, Mom. He does this every time. He's nice when you get to know him." "WHAT?! Queen Glory is your mother?!" "Adoptive mother. And don't be so shocked that I neglected to tell you. You didn't tell me that Queen Coral was YOUR mother." Swordfish opened his mouth as if to argue, but then changed his mind. "You're right." he relented. "Where's Dad?" Cleverclaws said, changing the subject. "Speaking to the NightWings. They want to take all adopted NightWings from the RainWings. It's caused a couple riots, but nothing we can't handle." Frostfire could tell that it was more serious than Glory let on. "Ok... Anyway, can my friends stay here a little bit? Frostfire and Skysong almost got murdered, so..." there was a hidden meaning in her words. 'We will talk about this later.' Glory nodded. It seemed she had picked up on the message to. "What she said." Swordfish mumbled in defeat. "Fine, you can stay in the Rainforest for a little while. Jambu!" a neon pink RainWing zoomed into the... Palace? Hut? Whatever, when the RainWing landed, he said proudly " What is it, little sis? What do ya need of the great and wonderful Jambu?" Queen Glory rolled her eyes and said "Guests, Jambu, we have guests!" "Oh." the pink RainWing made his scales a forest green and nearly disappeared from view. "Hows this?" he inquired. "Better? Anyway, I need you escort these dragonets to the visiting huts. They will be staying with us for a un decided period of time." "Ok, Queen! Come on, this way, visiter's!" Glory rolled her eyes again and turned to her daughter. The last thing Frostfire heard as they left the hut was "So, what have you been up to lately?"
Frostfire lay in a hammock that was strung up outside her hut. They had been in the Rainforest for a couple days now, and Sunstone had settled in perfectly. Sort of. She and Jambu were basic enemy's, because after all the RainWings had been taught how to read and write, Jambu had been reading all the news-scrolls he could get his claws on. He openly supported all of Ruby's ideas, so when he heard about Sunstone being banished, he almost hated her. Though, it was kind of hard for him to hate her, because his nature would not allow it. "Hey, Frostfire?" It was Kinkajou, one of Glory's closest advisers. "Yes, Kinkajou?" Frostfire said, sitting up. "Queen Glory wants to see you in the Royal Pavilion." "Ok, when?" "Now." Frostfire followed Kinkajou through the jungle, trying not to fall flat on her face. "Kinkajou are we almost there? I don't want to fall over anymore then I have to." "Ha! Don't worry, we're almost there." finally, they reached the Pavilion. "Frostfire, may I speak to you? ALONE?" Frostfire heard several wing-beats flapping furiously away. Glory rolled her eyes. "Anyway, what do you think of Queen Snowfall? I need to know more about her if she will be a good trade partner. The rest of the Queens are thinking about like a massive trade center in the middle of the Kingdoms so that it would be easier to have trading gatherings every month." " Wellll. Queen Snowfall is ok, but she kinda hates hybrids. Well, IceWing hybrids. She ok with any other kind, as long as they don't get to close to her." Frostfire answered. "Hmmm. We have a lot of NightWing\RainWing hybrids in the RainForest. Do you think that will be a problem?" Glory worried."No, she respects you enough so that she won't hate your hybrids that much, but she thinks RainWings are lazy and NightWings are pure evil monsters." "That might cause a few problems, but nothing we can't handle. There were riots every week when the NightWings arrived in the RainForest. Now there are only three or four riots a year. We have come a long way since they first arrived. Is there any thing else I need to know?" Glory asked. "Not that I know of." "Good. Now, how do you know so much about Queen Snowfall, if she hates hybrids?" Frostfire thought for a moment. "Welll... Let's say that I was a commander under her for a few years before I came to Jade Mountain. And I was a good friend of hers before she sent me to Jade Mountain." "Ok? Anyway, thank you for the info. By the way, would you like to come with us for our meeting with Queen Snowfall. What do you say?" Glory asked. Frostfire frowned, weighing the possibilities. If she went, she could have wonderful things at her claw-tips. If she stayed, she wouldn't see Snowfall, but she could still make a good life at Jade Mountain and the RainForest. But if she went, she could have a good life as an ambassador for the Ice Kingdom and the RainForest Kingdom, and not to forget the other Kingdoms, Because offering advice to a Queen and even getting invited to a peace meeting was a very important part of any dragon's dreams. At least in the Ice Kingdom outskirts. If she did get to become the Ambassador to the Kingdoms, she could look for her family. But if she stayed, she might be able to have a peaceful life in the RainForest. But... If she didn't go, she would never forget her family's faces as they were dragged off. Suddenly, a RainWing burst in. "Your Queen! Moonwatcher has arrived and she says she must see you!" " Bring her in, quickly! She must have a prophecy to deliver if she has come all this way!" "Queen Glory, this might not be the best time to ask, but did you get a message for Jade Mountain?" Frostfire asked, remembering the letter that Clay had sent weeks ago. "No, has Jade Mountain gotten my message?" "No message has arrived." "The messages must be getting stolen, and the dragons who were bringing them kid-napped or killed." Glory said, frowning. "Queen Glory! I must speak to you!" Moonwatcher shouted too Glory. "What is it?" Glory raced forward to help hold Moon up. "Uhhh..." Moonwatcher swooned, falling to the ground. A NightWing dove down to catch her. Suddenly, Moon spoke.
"SIX DRAGONS BORN OF DARKNESS AND LIGHT.
SIX DRAGONS TO BRING THE LIGHT.
ONE BORN OF FIRE AND ICE,
ONE BORN OF WATER AND RAIN,
ONE BORN OF FUTURE AND MAGIC,
ONE BORN OF SAND AND MUD,
ONE BORN OF INFINITY AND SECRETS,
ONE BORN OF MIND.
SIX DRAGONS WILL RISE TO SAVE THE NIGHT.
SIX DRAGONS, ONE IN ALL AND ALL IN ONE, ALL THE SAME BUT NOT AT ALL.
SIX DRAGONS TO REVERSE THE SIN, SIX DRAGON TO END OUR FIGHT.
OPEN YOUR MINDS TO SAVE THEM ALL, OR SHADOWS WILL END US ALL."
And with that, Moonwatcher, the prophet that saved the Hives, fainted.
