-Chapter 26-

-Shelby pov-

After a hell of a week we are finally at the weekend. October is coming and I can't wait! Today we are having a special day though. The girls are dependent on us all day.

Cass and Emma have been included in that. Emma has had a rush of students and parents at Juilliard the past few days. Cass just needs a break. I can tell she's tired from how much she slips doing stuff.

She started sucking her thumb during rehearsals yesterday. The class stopped and let her have a break. The break didn't honestly help much though. She ended up slipping and not being able to finish the class.

The students didn't mind helping us out. They put up everything and kept her company. By the time we left she was asleep. It was cute but eye opening.

So now the girls are all in the play pen. Our moms are watching them while we make lunch. Part of the dependence on us. There is a random knock on the door that makes me jump.

I walk over and open it then smile. Dee holds up a package of diapers. They are the right sizes too. I let her in and she walks in.

"I heard you were low" She sit the package down "How are they doing?"

"They been having fun all morning" I look at the playing girls as the laughter rings out "Thanks for the diapers"

"No problem" Dee takes off her jacket "I'll go watch them with the others"

"Thanks" I walk toward the kitchen but stop "Dee...could I talk to you about something?"

I turn and she nods looking confused. I just motion and she follows me to the office. I just had somethings to ask. Just to get my head on right.

-Time skip-Judy pov-

We finally got lunch done by 1. Shelby stopped helping and has been talking to Dee. I really hope everything is ok. Maybe I should check on them?

I get my answer when they walk out of the office. Shelby looks at me and I can tell what she means. We are having a talk later. Why can't it just be unicorns and rainbows?

We take the sandwiches into the living room and put them down. The girls get picked up and we start feeding them. We do a mix of breastfeeding and food. After they eat they are back to playing.

"What was the long talk about?" Maribel picks up her coffee cup "It was a quick in and a long out"

"Make it sound like sex" Shelby tries to joke but I can tell Maribel isn't laughing behind her cup "I asked about the financial record for the studio"

"Cass said it was fine" Maribel places the cup down "It's fine isn't it?"

"She's losing money" Dee frowns "If they win the next competition they could get enough prize money to float..but that's all she would be doing for a while"

"You can't just float" Madison sighs "Why didn't she tell us?"

"Cause she wants to prove she can be a grown up too" Dee looks over at the girls playing "She's a stubborn woman..if she wants to do something alone she will"

"So what can we do?" Madison looks at Dee "What can I do?"

"We can do a few different things" Dee pulls out a paper and puts it on the table "Or I can do that"

I pick it up and read it "This is crazy" I throw the paper down "You'd be a absolutely crazy!"

"Hey this is your livelihood" Dee glares at me "You have other things to worry about than my body!"

"What's another idea?" We look over at Madison who rips the paper up "Give a new one"

"Win the competition and enter another one" Dee pulls out a flyer "I printed this off a few days ago"

"It's a national dance competition" I look at the flyer and then Dee "Our girls would get stomped"

"Not if they practice now a whole bunch" Dee shrugs "College won't do anyone any good"

"You may have dropped out and succeeded but my daughters will not" I stand up and hand the flyer back to Dee "We will take care of this issue as it comes but we will not take whore money or force anyone to quit on their dreams"

"Dreams are just that sometimes" Dee stands up and pokes my chest "You really think that Mexican girl or the big nose is going to Broadway? That's a tough competition and they act like babies! They won't make it past the first sentence! You need to wake up and stop dreaming! They aren't babies!"

"Shut your mouth" We both turn and look at Debbie who's holding Cass "I came in to get some diapers when I heard this"

"Deb you gotta rea~"

"Cass didn't go to Broadway cause you never supported the dream" Debbies steps toward Dee "You failed as a kid but that doesn't mean anyone else will! You failed because the only one who believed in your was your pregnancy sister!"

"You didn't come to my tryout" A tear falls down dees face "You have never explained why you didn't!"

"I almost lost Cass that day" Dees eyes go wide "I wasn't paying attention and got hit on the way to the subway"

"I pulled your money" Dee looks at her confused "Why didn't you just tell me? I would've helped!"

"Because I wanted you to move on and be happy" Debbie puts a free hand on Dees cheek "You had been taking care of me and you needed to focus on your dream"

"But I cost you happiness and a good life" Dee moves and hugs Debbie while sobbing "I'm so sorry!"

"It's ok" Debbie wraps her arm around Dee "It's ok"

"I'll take her" I grab Cass from debbies arms "We can talk later when you've both talked things out"

I take Cass to the office and start changing her "I rry" I give her a confused look "I I out ony"

"You didn't wanna worry us" I give her a forehead kiss and smile "You didn't mean anything bad by it"

"I il uved?" I nod and she smiles "Ank ou"

"Thank you for loving us" I change her and pick her up "Let's get back to the others"

-Time skip-

After a plan on how to help the studio we order in dinner. We let the girls choose a movie and end up watching Toy Story. It's not a bad one but I'm tired of seeing it. It's their go to movie.

About a quarter into it the food arrives. I get it and pay before bringing it in. We feed the girls and then give them their orders. Today was nice all things considered.

I wouldn't mind them being dependent more. That was the plan originally. We'd come here and they'd be like this once they got home. I wonder if they still would do it?

I think they would if asked. But I want them to bring it up. I don't want them to feel forced. That's the last thing I'd want to do.

After the movie, and the two sequels, the girls start to yawn. We get them up for a bath and into pajamas. After breastfeeding and a story they are out. I look over them in their cribs and smile.

I check on all of the rooms and smile. They all look so happy and safe. They look so much better than how they were. How it all started.

"You wanna do this more dont ya?" I turn and see my fiancés "Cass says the girls agree"

"Really?" I look at the sleepy Cass in Shelby's arms "Do they wanna do this more?"

She nods and I look at Emma "Ey ana" She lets out a big yawn "I ired"

"Well then lets go to bed" I walk with them to our bedroom "I hope the moms are doing well"

-Mary pov-

"Thanks James" I smile and nod at the ladies "Tell Donald I expect a call soon!"

"So?" I hang up the phone "The nod was a yes right?"

"We don't have anything to worry about with our sponsor" They all cheer and I smile wider "Trust the grandpas to save the day"

There's a knock at the door that startles us "Who is that?" We shrug and then look at Dee crazy as she pulls out a gun "It's New York! You all need one!"

We follow behind her to the front door. There's another knock and I see Shelby is coming down the stairs. She has Emma in her arms. I walk toward them quickly.

"What's going on?" I shrug as another knock comes "I came down to get her a paci"

"Well stay back ok?" She nods and I walk back to the door "Open it"

Dee does and hides the gun. She opens it and reveals a Redheaded woman. I hear a gasp and turn. Emma's eyes are wide in shock.

"Mom?" We look between the two confused "W-what are ou oin ere?"

"I heard the news in Lima that you were doing this" I notice her mom looks drenched in water "By the time I finally got away from your dad..I was told you left for here! I calm all this way to apologize to you"

Soon the woman is falling forward "Shit!" Janine catches her "Shes burning up!"

I look outside and look for a car. There isn't one outside. How did she get here? I look and get my answer in the form of a bike.

"She took a three day bike ride" I look at the shaking woman "We need to get her to a hospital now!"

"Mom?" Emma is out of Shelby's hands and crawling to her mother "MA!"

"Shelby get her!" Shelby quickly grabs Emma who starts sobbing "Let's get this lady help quick!"

I grab a set of keys and head Shelby do the same. I make sure we take a van with no car seats. We lay the lady down and start it up. I see Shelby put Emma in a seat and then get in a car.

God please be with this woman! Cause I really don't know if Emma can make it if she doesn't.
