Chapter 11: Camping out.

The entire time they were in the sky... Y/N got done screaming and cursing out colorful words that seemed to irritate the lordship. Right now, she had folded arms and was pouting, every once in a while Sesshomaru would glance down at her to see her expression but would notice its unchanged features. "I wished I could fly too," she started, catching his attention and making him listen in without looking down at her in his arms. "Must be niiice...~" Trailing off at the end in a teasing, envious manner; she was blushing the entire time. "Being able to fly around... Acting like Buzz Lightyear and pumping out my fist saying Up, up and awaaaay! Yeah, that works..." she rolled her eyes, sighed and lowered her fist.

Sesshi quirked a brow and glanced down at her, mentally question who this Buzz Lightyear was. "Why did you pick me up so suddenly, like that? A warning would've been nice..." Adding to her speech, she looked to the side so she could view in front of them and leaned more on his arm, so to not accidentally fall. Oddly enough, Y/N was growing more used to Sesshomaru.

She didn't want to anger him but she was showing a bit more of her childish personality. Just knowing that he needed her alive to kill this new threat, relieved her; that meant he wasn't planning on harming or killing her, it was comforting to know.

It was a silent flight and when she peeked over after leaning back to see behind Sesshi, she saw Rin and Jaken on A-Un in the distance. She couldn't see Obsidian considering her back was to him in her position, but mind you... He found her little outburst rather hilarious. He was chuckling to himself with his hand covering his mouth and kept up with Sesshi's flight.

It was getting late too, the sun was setting and Sesshomaru knew they had to find a place to be... Rin was already passed out on A-Un's back, sleeping soundly next to the green bean. "We'll rest down here..." he said, floated down into some trees and had the others follow suit. Once he landed, so had A-Un and he placed Y/N on the ground.

"So... What to do..." Y/N said awkwardly as she looked around aimlessly at all the surrounding trees. Suppose, I could sleep up in the trees...but dang, I'm hungry! she mentally whined and had comical tears streaming down her eyes in her head. Wait a minute... she thought to herself and widened her eyes at the recognition. We're outside, it's getting dark...the children are asleep... she trailed off, hinting towards the awkward situation she and Sesshomaru would be in. Her face flushed red at the idea and glanced around to see Sesshomaru checking on Rin.

He noticed she was sound asleep and he figured it was wise not to wake her. A small smile graced Y/N's lips at the sight. Heh, he'd make such a great daddy...~ she said in her mind. That thought made her widen her eyes even more and her face to turn ten shades of red. WHY DID I JUST SAY THAT, OF ALL THINGS?! Mentally shouting, Jaken was asleep too and Obsidian...was up in the trees with his face facing the sky. She was panicking, steam wafting out of her ears and her stomach now growling.

Sesshomaru's ears twitched while he got off A-Un and froze in mid-climb. His golden eyes glanced over at her awkward fidgeting and narrowed them, getting the idea that she was hungry. Believe it or not, no human would have been able to hear it from their distance but, seeing he was a dog demon...and had a strong sense of hearing, he was able to pick up on that.

He grumbled with a straight, emotionless expression and walked through the woods. "Obsidian... Prepare a fire," With that, he was gone and Y/N was left there alone with Obi...

Awkward silence, even more so when Obsidian hopped down from the tree and giggled to himself. Noooo, please don't leave me with the creepy batman! She mentally exclaimed and had hysterical tears going down her face again, dramatically reaching out in Sesshi's direction. I mean, Batman's cool but, I met his alternate, creepy version for Pete's sake! she added. With a little effort, she tried to make it look like she was going to assist Sesshomaru and try to escape Obi's presence until the said bat spoke up.

"Y/N, why so stiff? You act as though I'm gonna do something improper,~" he teased, watched her mouth open to answer back until he heard pitched squeaking in the sky; down came his pet bat flapping about with its wings. Obi lifted his finger so it could land on him. "Hello, my good friend. Did you enjoy your freedom?" he asked it, petting its forehead and giggling at its cuteness.

"Where did that bat go, exactly? If you're its owner, don't you think it'd be wise to make sure it's safe at all times...? Aren't you afraid it'd get hurt?" Y/N asked with an index finger pointing at the pet with a risen brow.

"Hmhmhm, hardly.~ I'd prefer if my little bat had its freedom. I don't want it to rely on me for feeding it every time it grows hungry, so if it ever does I just let it fly off to find something to eat or drink. I wouldn't want it to forget how to fend for itself because if I were to die, how would the little guy live on its own?~" he questioned. That was a very good reason, to be frank, Y/N knew what he was talking about and actually agreed with him by giving a simple nod. So as a few minutes passed, Obi had easily started a fire with the wood he gathered.

Both he and Y/N sat around the fire, she had her knees up against her chest and her arms wrapped around them. Obi was just on his knees, being in the usual Japenese sitting style. "I'm gonna go check up on Sesshomaru," She said and stood up, stretching and causing the batman to hum in question. He looked up at her with his signature smirk then he too took a stand. As she stretched, he hugged her and nuzzled her head, making her freeze in midst of it. "What are you doing...?" Asking that, all she received was silence, until he sighed in comfort behind her...

"Haaah... A hug is so comforting and relieving, isn't it?" he asked, blushed ridiculously and let go. "Forgive me, but I have my reasons for doing the things I do.~" He cooed, whispered in her ear and chuckled in a low tone, before looking over his shoulder. Behind him, unbeknownst to Y/N, Sesshomaru was glaring daggers at him as he held something dead in his grasp.

"Yeah...? W-Well, leave me alone, please," She said awkwardly with her arms lowered and faint flushes on her cheeks. Signs of disgust was on her face, despite it being a little red from his unwanted contact. "The last thing I want is to be sucked dry by a vampire bat..." she muttered and sidestepped away from the man, only to see Sesshi standing there angrily.

"Oh? Did I possibly strike another nerve? Hehe, it seems I'm good at that," he teased, parted his lips slightly and shade veiled over his forehead to express creepiness. Sessho narrowed his eyes even more, any more and they'd be closed! Suddenly, as the scene zoomed out, Obi's voice echoed. "My dear friend, I do hope you're not going to use that on me...!" Obi's voice sounded quite panicked... Next, it showed Y/N standing there in chibi form, wide-eyed at the censored display before her.

The scene was so bad to show to the readers of this story, that everything was censored and all that could be heard...was whines of pain from the batman. With a comical ding, it showed Obi upside down above the fire looking all burnt. Being tied up by rope and being roasted alive by the lordship himself. Alongside him, the prey he killed had been skinned and was on a stick, cooking. "My lord, I promise you I don't taste good!" He cried comical tears, wincing with each sting he felt from the burn and hot flames that kissed his head.

On the sidelines, Y/N was STILL chibified and wide-eyed, that was something she did NOT want to see...before he got all tied up above that fire. "Um... Is...there a lake nearby? I... Need to soak for a while..." she sweatdropped and lifted a finger in the air, hoping to gain Sesshi's attention.

Seeing him peek over at her, he nodded and squatted down, preparing the food all the while ripping apart a furry corpse he caught for himself. "Thanks... Where is it?" After asking that, he gestured behind him.

"Keep going straight..." That was all he needed to say, for her to go bolting through the woods and leaving them there.

It took her a few minutes to find the lake and when she did, she got behind some bushes and hurried to undress. I will NOT...be able to sleep tonight. Especially not after seeing something so horrifying like that. Never thought Sesshomaru would get so pissed, enough to do THAT to someone. My word... Blue lines went down her head as she stared at the moonlit, sparkling water before her. With time passing and Obi was finally let down so he could sleep, she had already eaten her food and was sitting by the fading fire.

Her e/c eyes peered over at Sesshomaru who was staring at the moon, clearly wide awake. She frowned, looked at the fire again and stood up. Quickly she made her way over, plopping her butt down next to him. (Obviously dressed, pft) "He likes teasing you, doesn't he...?" she whispered to him and hugged her knees against her chest, now gazing upon the glistening moon.

Nothing but silence, he only glanced down at her with his golden eyes and caught her staring at him. Luckily it was dark outside, otherwise, he'd be able to see her flushed cheeks. He was starting to get lost in her beautiful alien eyes, the only thing that snapped him out of his daze, was when Obsidian snorted and started talking in his sleep... "I'm cold..." she mumbled, rubbed her arms and lowered her head down near her forearms. What she didn't expect was for Sesshomaru, without even looking back down at her, wrapped that fluffy thing around her arms and leaned his head back against the base of the tree, closing his eyes.

A soft smile graced her lips, she felt so happy at knowing he was so considerate of her. That, or he didn't want her getting a cold, lest she whines about it the next morning and refuses to get up. She snuggled into the fluff, laying her head on his bicep with a pleasant expression on her face. Sessho had already given Rin something to cover up with, thanks to Obsidian when he went searching for something after he was let down earlier. Turns out, she was able to fall asleep after all.~
