A/N: "Howdy partners!" as snipe would say. This is just a small slice of life chapter about another school day of the girls. I'm planning on having a pretty big arc coming up, and there are a few small details in here that will come up again later. None of them are really anything too important, so if you want to you can fully skip this weeks chapter and it won't be detrimental in understanding the plot. I also just want to say a big thank you to all of you who have been reading the story. Especially making it all the way to chapter 13. This is my first story so I'll be honest, I really didn't think anyone would really read past chapter 3.

"Howdy partners, Are you ready to have a daisy day? I sure hope so, 'cause we've got an important announcement." Snipe said, standing in front of the blackboard. He toyed with a piece of chalk as he spoke, facing the students. "Now, normally we have the sports festival so early in the year so that our hero students can get scouted for their internships. Y'all see, the sports festival doesn't really play a part in all of your internships, instead, you all will have to take a skills test today in your third period. Hundreds of business and hero agencies are partners with this here program, so your scores will be sent out to all of our partners and they will choose who to send invitations to. Now, obviously we would like to keep things fair, but that just ain't how the dice rolls sometimes." He shrugged and turned to face the board, writing down the information he'd just given. "Certain people may be at an advantage due to family status and such, so some of you may have already been receiving invitations. Expect the possibility of getting one of those electronic mails from me later today to let you know if you have received any preemptive invitations."

"Okay. So internships are cool and all, but what if we don't want to do one?" Izumi asked aloud, not even bothering to raise her hand.

Snipe turned around to look at her. "You have to lassie. It's a requirement for your pathway at this here institution."

"Okay," she sighed. "What if I want to do an internship outside of the set school partners. Can I do other internships as long as I'm accepted?"

"Huh. Well, uh. It's never been done before, but I suppose that you may be able to ask the principal about that," he said, then turned back towards the board. "As long as he approves it I suppose it will be fine. This is more about the working experience and corporate teamwork building than anything else."

"What if I'm pregnant?" Logan asked casually.

Snipe spun back around, dropping the chalk as he did so. "Wait now, hold on partner. We are gonna have to have this discussion in the office."

"Oh no, no, I'm not pregnant, " Logan smirked. "I was just curious."

"Detention," Snipe said instantly.

Logan feigned a look of surprise. "Are you really the kind of cowboy to go back on his word?"

"I'm not, but by god, be warned," the teacher said, scooping up the chalk and pointing it at her. "I am never. Never. Making that mistake again. You girls are cunning and evil. I'll tell you what. Bunch of snakes in the grass, you lassies are."

"We love you too, teach."

He turned back towards the board once more, shaking his head. "Yeah, yeah. You girls are gonna make my hair fall out. Anyways, if anyone has any actual questions, now is your time to ask. If not, you can go ahead and get headed towards your next class."

Power Loader swung open the door and looked straight at his two problem students, who were currently huddled together at a workbench. "Izumi. Hatsume. What did I say about testing the heat durability of objects in this workshop?"

"If you are going to light it on fire. Do it outside," the two girls said at once, repeating the same thing they'd heard their teacher say too many times.

"Although in this case, I would like to point out that we aren't lighting it on fire to test the heat durability," Izumi corrected him. "We are lighting it on fire because we want to see how explosive our compound is." Hatsume nodded enthusiastically.

Power Loader didn't miss a beat. "Well then, what did I say about testing explosives in this workshop?"

"If you are going to blow anything up. Do it in the explosives range," the girls replied.

"You girls know the rules and yet you still ignore them."

"Listen, we just got a little too excited to wait," Izumi said defensively. "Besides if my calculations are right, and they always are, then the explosion won't even cause any damage. We only added enough powder to see if it will go off. Not actually create a large explosion." She shuffled a few things around on the workbench until she found the scratch paper she'd done her math on, but there was so much scribbled on the page that Power Loader couldn't even see the numbers.

He stood in the doorway, still not convinced that whatever they were working on wouldn't explode. "I don't know how this happened. Hatsume was enough by herself, but the both of you working together is daunting. I mean what happened to you, Izumi? You spent basically the whole first month of school with your head down. Then suddenly after the sports festival you two formed a team and the school hasn't been safe since. While I do appreciate that the two of you are… prolific in your inventing," he paused, looking over at a massive pile of inventions the two of them had put together in the past week. "You both still need to follow the safety regulations."

"Okay, but safety regulations are a lot like warning labels," Izumi said, shrugging his concerns off. "They are there for people who don't know what they are doing. I know very well what I'm doing, so do I really need to follow them."

"That analogy makes no sense, and yes you do," Power Loader replied as he began tapping his foot in frustration. "Listen, girls. I'm very lenient. I let you build whatever you want with pretty much limitless resources. The least you could do is follow regulation."

Izumi flashed an innocent smile. "Okay, we'll try our best."

He nodded, seemingly satisfied with that answer. "Good, and while you are at it. Stop forcing other people to be your unwitting test subjects."

Hatusme's smile finally wavered as Power Loader shifted his attention elsewhere. "Don't worry. He goes on those rants all the time."

"Alright everyone, class is dismissed," Cemetoss announced as the bell rang. He set his pointed down on the blackboard and walked over to his desk to gather up his things. "You may now head to lunch."

Logan was the first to stand up from her seat. She tapped her desk twice to get her friends' attention before they had a chance to move. "Okay everyone, don't get anything in the lunch line. I made sure that Lunch Rush made four portions of today's little specialty for us. Who wants beef wellington?"

"Oh no, you didn't," Rei replied as she swung her bag over her shoulder.

Logan smirked. "Oh yes, I did."

"Hey, Logan. So I don't want to seem like a gold digger, but will you marry me so I can have unfiltered access to your family fortune?" Etsuko asked, grinning hopefully at Logan.

"I'm afraid I'm just not ready for marriage yet babe, sorry," Logan said with a shrug. The girls finished getting their things and made their way to the cafeteria. Logan waved to Lunch Rush when they stepped in line and he flashed them a quick thumbs up. By the time they reached the front of the line, he had their beef wellington ready and waiting.

"Maybe I've just never had it before," Rei said, staring down at her plate as they walked towards their usual table. "But does beef wellington usually have gold leaves on it?"

Logan nodded. "Good beef wellington does."

"That's a bit ridiculous. You can't digest gold. It's just going to come out the other end like any other indigestible substance." Izumi sat down and started eating, not paying much mind to the gold flakes.

"Yeah, yeah," Logan said, nodding again. "Chemistry genius over here spitting boring facts."

Izumi rolled her eyes. "That isn't even chemistry. That's just common sense."

"Whatever." Logan sat down in her seat and set out her utensils, spreading a cloth napkin over her lap. "Anyways, how did everyone feel about their test today in third period? That skills test or whatever. I'm sure Izumi felt as confident as usual."

"Yeah. I mean, it was fairly easy," Izumi said in between bites of food. "It was what, mathematical reasoning, spatial skills, pure maths, electronics, mechanics, and reading comprehension. Quite a mix, but hardly anything that hard." She paused to take another bite. "If anything, the time limit was the worst bit. Oh yeah, and that programming section was a bit tedious. I'm sure you fucking aced that section though, Logan. I mean it wasn't anything hard, but you probably shined like a motherfucker in that bit."

Logan tossed her hair over her shoulder and smiled. "Yeah. I think the best thing about that section was that it gave us the ability to write out what our code would be, which means I didn't have to use any of the background info the test gave and I got to use all of my shortcuts and such. That way the people reviewing it at least will be able to see that I'm pretty advanced in it."

"I feel really confident in the spatial skills and the reading comprehension personally," Etsuko said, finally taking a break from wolfing down her food. "The other sections were all just meh. I'm really glad they had that weird formula sheet thing for the coding section, though, otherwise that section would have killed me."

"I'm pretty sure the scores are going to be separated into each category rather than just doing an overall score because it's meant specifically to showcase skills," Rei explained, picking the gold leaves off of her food with her fork. "I don't know how to feel though personally. I think I did alright, but I didn't feel particularly good in any specific section."

Logan reached over and patted her on the shoulder. "I'm sure you did wonderfully. Now stop picking off the gold leaves. Those aren't cheap, you know."

"Logan," Izumi said, looking at her with a raised brow. "You don't even have a concept of what cheap or expensive is anymore."

"That's true, She doesn't. I mean Logan hasn't ever actually not gotten exactly what she wanted before." Etsuko ate a gold leaf. "She has no concept of money, or consequences. Her immaturity is definitely going to end up biting her in the ass or I don't know what foreshadowing is." She looked over to Izumi. "Just like your whole hero hatred thing. That's definitely gonna be a major plot point eventually. I mean how else are you gonna get developed. You already know like everything else."

The girls all stared at Etsuko in stunned silence for a moment. "Well that was, um, pretty offensive. Things don't just always work out for me. I mean I've had struggles too." Logan looked down at her plate as she spoke, "Just like anyone else. I also don't think I'm that immature. I just know what I can and can't get away with. It's not like I'm that reckless or anything." She shook her head before looking up and plastering on her signature smile. "I don't wanna think about it anymore so..." Logan looked around the room to find a any new topic of conversation she could to take her mind away. "I can tell you what cheap is. See that girl over there?" Logan pointed to a girl standing in the line to get food. "Blue hair. Those shoes are the cheapest things I have seen in my entire life." The girl noticed Logan pointing at her and smiled, offering them a friendly wave. Logan waved back, putting an even brighter smile on. Izumi and Rei both feigned smiles at the situation, still clearly trying to hide how much Etsuko's evaluation had truly bothered them.

Etsuko looked between Logan and the blue haired girl. "Wow. You are one fake ass bitch." She laughed a little. "You love to see it."

"Thanks," Logan said, dropping the smile as the girl looked away. "Now, eat up everyone. We only have like ten minutes left for lunch."

"Logan!" Vlad King boomed. He held a clipboard in his hands as he watched the students spar, but so far, he'd been too invested in giving advice to take any notes. "You need to tuck your leg under him. Not wrap it around. That puts you in an even worse position." Logan coughed as her back hit the mat and the wind was knocked out of her. "This is embarrassing," Vlad continued, sounding flabbergasted. "You always do the exact opposite of what I tell you. It's almost like you are purposely doing as terrible as possible."

Logan groaned, not even attempting to push the other student away as she was pinned against the mat. "It's not my fault. I have a really bad time with hand eye coordination."

"I saw you compete in the sports festival and I know that is a lie," he replied, looking disappointed and a little confused at the three girls. "Why are you girls doing this?"

"Well, I mean I'm good at some things with coordination, but I just really struggle with fighting and wrestling," Logan said as the boy she was sparring with climbed off of her. Etsuko flashed a questioning glance at the scene in front of her. She looked as though she was about to ask a question, but decided against it. Logan walked off the mat, looking completely unbothered by her losing match.

Vlad pinched the bridge of his nose. "Well, just try harder next time. Hirai. Your turn on the mat."

"Yes, sir." Etsuko walked into the ring in the center of the mat.

Vlad patted the back of the boy who was still standing on the mat. "Let's see how long you can keep up your streak, boy. Ready?" The two students got into fighting stances. "Go." The boy swung a left hook towards Etsuko. With her enhanced reflexes, she was able to duck under the strike before it landed. The boy in front of her immediately followed up with a jab that managed to hit Etsuko in the abdomen. She let out a small 'ooft' and used one of her hands to grab the boy's wrist. As soon as the boy felt his arm grabbed he attempted to jerk back and counter with another left hook. Etsuko tucked her head below his swing again and rolled into his body so that her back was against his chest and she still had a solid grip on his arm. With her location, the boy was unable to build momentum for an effective punch. She then wiggled her leg between his and used it for leverage to flip him over and pin him to the ground. "Can you get out?" Vlad asked the pinned boy.

The boy struggled for a moment and fell back against the mat, breathing hard. "No. I can't."

Vlad smiled, giving Etsuko a pat on the head. "Okay. Good job, Hirai. That's my star student!"

Etsuko hopped off of the boy and let him crawl out of the ring. "Thank you! Who do I get to fight next?" She asked as she looked around to all the students surrounding the mat.

Vlad looked back over his clipboard. "Alright, next up we have Ms. Tamura." Both Izumi and Rei began to walk onto the mat. "Oh yeah, sorry I forgot you both share a family name. I meant Izumi. Izumi, get ready to fight." Izumi walked into the center circle and faced Etsuko. Both girls fell into a fighting stance. Once Vlad signaled for them to start, they began to circle each other. Etsuko threw a single punch and Izumi threw up a mock attempt at blocking it. As soon as Etsuko's punch landed Izumi fell to the floor allowing Etsuko to pin her. Yet again, Etsuko's face donned a questioning look, but she still decided it was for the best not to speak. "Well that was a poor attempt at a block," Vlad commented. "You need to react faster next time, Izumi."

"Yes, sir. I will try better next time." Izumi walked back to the edge of the mat.

Vlad sighed. "Okay. Rei, you are up next. Get to the center." Rei walked into the ring and took her position. "Ready? Fight!"

Etsuko and Rei began to circle each other much like the previous fight. Etsuko's eyes narrowed slightly as she threw a punch and pulled back the force right before it hit Rei's cheek. While the punch looked powerful, it wouldn't have had an impact larger than a slight tap. As she expected, Rei fell back and hit the ground with no resistance at all. Etsuko quirked an eyebrow as Rei feigned pain in her jaw. She quickly pinned Rei to the ground and took the opportunity to whisper in her ear. "What are you guys doing?" Etsuko asked.

Rei turned her head slightly so she was facing Etsuko's ear, "I'll explain later."

"Alright. You can get off of her now," Vlad said, now sounding more annoyed than anything. "Rei, same advice as your sister. You need to react faster. You weren't even able to get a guard up at all."

Rei rolled to her feet and dusted herself off. "Yes, sir. My reflexes are just a bit slow today."

"Alright, Well, carrying on." Vlad checked his clipboard. "Mr. Okane. You're up."

Etsuko managed to beat all of the remaining class members. By the time she finished, she was a sweaty mess. Vlad smiled proudly at his student. "Are you sure you don't wish to get switched to the hero course? You could be in my homeroom."

"Thank you for the offer, but no thanks. I would prefer to stick to business," Etsuko said as she wiped the sweat from her forehead with a towel.

He nodded, though he was unable to hide his disappointment. "Alright, but if you ever change your mind. We would be glad to have you." Vlad turned to the students on the side of the mat. "Alright, everyone. You have ten minutes left. Go ahead and get dressed in your class uniform. P.E. is over for today."

Etsuko grabbed her friends and dragged them with her into the changing room. She pulled them past their lockers into a more secluded area. "So, why are you guys throwing?"

"I mean, we are used to fighting, so really it would be an unfair advantage," Logan explained, pulling her hair out of its ponytail and letting it fall back over her shoulders. "Plus, sometimes it's just fun to see how convincingly you can throw before someone notices. Right now we have a bet going to see who can throw the longest without Vlad blatantly calling us out for throwing."

"I don't know how you guys haven't been caught yet. I mean, you are practically tripping and falling on your own fists." Etsuko paused, staring at them with bewilderment. "No wait, Izumi actually did that the first week. How has nobody noticed? I mean I suppose I didn't really notice until I knew you guys had so much kickboxing training, but still. Can you be literally any more obvious?"

Izumi shrugged. "Well, I mean, we've been at it for a month now and it seems people either don't notice or don't give a shit."

Etsuko just continued to stare at them. "You guys are really weird, you know. And that means a lot, coming from me."

"Yeah, okay," Rei sighed, turning to rejoin the rest of the class by the lockers. "Come on. Let's get dressed."

The students of class 1-A were mingling amongst themselves when Logan entered the room, looking like she'd just come from a salon rather than gym class. The first few to notice her either gave her a friendly thumbs up or looked away immediately, still feeling the sting of loss after her performance at the Sports Festival. She'd hardly made it two steps in the door when Bakugo practically flew out of his seat, marching towards her with fury in his eyes. Kirishima and Kaminari hung uselessly from his arms in a futile attempt to hold him back. "You're dead!" Bakugo roared. Sparks flew from his hands as he walked up to her, his palms facing out. Logan lifted her chin a bit and looked at him with a raised brow. "Fight me," Bakugo challenged. "I'm not going to let you walk away this time!"

Logan stared at him for a long moment, then opened her mouth as if to speak. A small chime rang out and she turned her attention to that instead, pulling her phone from her pocket and checking the notification she'd just received. Bakugo was quiet for a second, apparently thrown off by her inability to give a shit. Logan half-glanced up from her phone. "Oh, no, you can keep going," she muttered. "I'm listening."

Bakugo's sparks became small explosions as he scream-growled in response. Logan walked around him without looking up from her phone, keeping just far enough away so her uniform wouldn't get singed. Halfway to her usual seat, she stopped and looked back, smiling at Kirishima as he attempted to restrain Bakugo. "Eijiro," she hummed, smiling. "You're looking nice today."

"Oh, uh, thanks, I guess," Kirishima said, his face flushed.

Before Bakugo could break free of his classmates and fight Logan on the spot, Eraser Head walked in, casting an immediate hush over the room. "What are you doing?" He asked, glaring at the three boys still standing by the door. "Get to your seats." Logan slipped her phone back in her pocket and climbed onto the windowsill.

Eraser Head stood at the front of the classroom looking especially tired, as if he'd somehow gotten less sleep than he usually did. "Okay, everyone. All Might was meant to teach class today, but he got called in at the last minute to prepare to meet some foreign diplomat in a few weeks. Seems pointless to me, but it's a required part of the job for heroes with high popularity." He yawned. "Anyways, because of his absence, we didn't have anything planned today which means you all will have class time to write you letters accepting your internship offers or write to one of the forty agencies that accept hero students that haven't received an offer."

Waving her hand in the air, Logan spoke up from the back of the room. "Okay, well, you guys are just doing busy work today, so can I leave? I don't really have a point in being here. I can, like, go to the offices or something and be a lot more productive."

Eraser Head nodded as he pulled out his sleeping bag. "Sure. Go ahead. I don't really care. I'm going to be taking a nap anyways."

"Alright, cool." Logan slipped out of the classroom and headed to the teachers lounge. Cementoss let her into the offices and she headed over to Snipe's desk.

Snipe tipped his hat to her as she approached. "Well, what are you doing here? Did you get kicked out of Aizawa's ward again?"

"So you acknowledge that his class is a prison and yet I got assigned to that class anyways," Logan huffed, sitting down in the chair across from him. "Why couldn't I observe Vlad's hero basics instead?"

"Well, there would have been a timing conflict. Besides, I thought you were supposed to be working out your issues with the man," Snipe said as he folded his arms. "You must have just gotten off on the wrong foot. Nobody here judges you because you don't have a quirk. I mean, just think about all those eyes that were watching you during that darn festival. If anyone did think bad of you, you sure proved everyone wrong there." He chuckled. "Besides, I've known that man for a while now and I know him well enough to say, he ain't like whatever you think. Now I also ain't no kinda psychic but I think you might have some kinda self confidence issue or something that might be the real root of your anger. I ain't professionally trained or nothin', but I've dealt with a lot of different situations from all my previous posses and I've seen this kinda behavior before."

Logan leaned back in her chair and shook her head. "You know. You're right, You ain't no trained psychic."

"Are you sure, Logan?" He asked, pushing the brim of his hat back a bit. "Because I know it can't have been very easy growing up with parents being busy all the time."

"Oh my god," she groaned, standing up from the chair. "We are really not about to have this conversation."

"That might be why you have such an issue with authority, too. You ain't never been really told what to do at home, and you don't know how to react when people do control you," he speculated.

"Okay. You can stop now."

"You also have always had access to pretty much unlimited funds, so I don't doubt that most of the authority figures in your life before have also not had much control over you."

Logan grabbed her bag. "I should probably just leave."

"There is no need for that." Snipe grabbed onto Logan's arm, keeping her seated. "I saw on your record you got kicked out of fifteen different private schools, too. Now I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you need to change. I'm also not going to tell you how I think that you should act because even though I'm your teacher I don't think that's my place. I do really hope that you will be able to trust adults in your life more. I at least hope that you start to trust me, partner."

Logan groaned, resisting the urge to bury her face in her hands. "Ugh. Fine. Yeah. If I agree, can we end this conversation?"

"I suppose since it's making you uncomfortable we can," he agreed, releasing her arm. "But just so you know, you can't just make problems go away by just saying what people want to hear."

"Alright. Can we just talk about the club meeting today?" She asked, desperate to talk about literally anything else. "Why didn't you approve for us to use Ground Beta again?"

"Oh yeah, that. Well see I decided that while your situations are entertaining at all, you still need to be able to hit your target when you shoot." He made a finger gun and aimed it at an imaginary target over her shoulder. "Now, I know a few of you members can aim pretty decent like, but some of your members are down right terrible. I decided that today I'm going to use my powers as the faculty sheriff of the club to decide what activity we will be doing today." He shifted in his seat, visibly excited despite his mask. "The activity for today is going out to the shooting range I had Cementoss build for us and training all y'all young whippersnappers how to really shoot."

She nodded. "Ah, so our club has been upgraded to professional shooting training. Although, what exactly do you know about aiming? Don't you just use your quirk to control the trajectory?"

"Well, Yeah, but I'm still a pretty sharp shot without it."

"Ah. Well. That's cool, I guess." Logan finally settled back into her seat. "So how is being a teacher and everything anyways?"

Snipe leaned forward, sitting up straighter in his chair. "I think it's great. Not a better job in the world, I tell you what."

"Yeah, well, that explains why you even want to teach after hours," she said.

"No better feeling in the world. You know, I've never had any students in my homeroom quite like you and your friends." He paused, considering the next thing he wanted to say carefully. "Logan, can I ask you something about your friends? I need you to keep your word that you won't be offended, though."

"Okay. I mean, I'll try my best."

"Does your friend Izumi hate me?"

Logan stared at him. "Uh. Well. I mean I don't think so…"

"But she doesn't like me," he said, more as a statement than a guess.

"I think maybe that's something you should talk to her about," she suggested.

Snipe sighed. "I know that she has some issues with heroes. I've heard some of her off-handed mumbles, and a few of the other teachers have overheard some of the comments she made." He nodded towards Eraser Head's empty desk. "Is that because of one of us teachers here or was she like that before?"

"Listen. Izumi has some… issues," Logan explained. "They are hers to talk about though. I know she doesn't hate you. I'd say you are probably her favorite out of all the teachers here, but I wouldn't say she trusts you either. It's nothing you or anyone else here did, and I'm not going to get too far into it. Just don't take anything that she says personally."

Sniped leaned towards his desk, picking up the pen he'd been using to fill out paperwork before she came in. "Okay, well, I mean. You lassies do know that if you ever need anything you all can come to me. I'm your homeroom teacher. That's what I'm here for. I've dealt with a lot of reluctant students in the past, but I'm gonna make sure you all can trust me by the time you all leave this school."

She grabbed her bag again and stood up. "Yeah, well, time really flew by didn't it? Anyways, I'm going to go ahead and meet back up with my friends so we can head over to the shooting range," she said, pulling the strap over her shoulder. "Where is it, by the way, so I can send out the location to everyone?"

"Oh yeah. Gym Gamma. I'll pack up my equipment and meet you all over there."

"Okay." Logan walked to the exit of the teachers lounge. "Oh yeah, Snipe."

"Yes?"

"I trust you." She said as she walked through the door.
