Chapter 14
Everyone was up early this morning, Adam and the rest of the guys had to put their horses on the train in the stock car as they were all going to Wells by train. It wouldn't take so long that way. They would get to Wells in three days rather than taking over a week by horseback.
"OK Pa, horses are all loaded and i guess were all ready to go also."
"OH good. Adam, Ann why don't you go on first and find the good seats."
"We already have the good seats pa. We have a cabin in the couch."
"Yes, I figured you would. Well boys, come on let's go find our seats."
"Ah Pa, I got you a sleeping car."
"Oh you did. Well thank you son."
"Hoss, Joe, you're on your own."
"Ya, thanks a lot, Adam."
"You're welcome ,Joe. Shall we my love."
"Adam, you're terrible to Joe."
"Ah, he'll get over it."

It did take three days to arrive in Wells and none to soon for Ben. He wasn't getting any younger and was tired.
"Pa, we can unload the horses and put them in Ann's corral at her house or you can put them in the stables. Your choice."
"The weather is nice so I guess Ann's corral is good enough."
"All right then, let's get them over there and settled. Ann, come on, you can ride with me darling."
"Of course my dear."

"OK here we are."
"I'll open the gate ,Adam. I hope my horse has been taken care of."
"Looks like he has. Go ahead pa, Hoss, Joe." and then Adam went in with sport. He looked happy to have his friends back in the corral with him.
"You have a nice place here Ann. What are you going to do with it now?'
"Not to sure. Most likely sell it. Might keep the hotel and jewellery store however."
"Ma'am, you own them also?"
"Yes I do ,Hoss. Please come in for some coffee."
"Ann sweetheart, can I have a word with you for a minute? Excuse us for a minute ,Pa."
"Yes of course ,Adam."

"Can we offer them rooms at the hotel for no charge?"
"Adam ,you don't have to ask me that. Of course we can. They're family."
"Just wanted to make sure. Maybe pa can stay here and Hoss and Joe can go to the hotel."
"Yes of course. It would be more comfortable for him here."
"Yes it would."
"OK, well let's go tell them then."

"Ah Pa, Hoss Joe, we have a spare room here. And Ann as you know owns the hotel right next door so we are asking if you will take us up on our invitation to use the spare room for you pa, and Hoss and Joe you can have the best room at the hotel."
"Does it have a second room in it for Hoss Adam?"
"Yes Joe, there is a room like that over there."
"Good, we'll take it."
"Thank you Ann, Adam. I'll except the spare room here."
"Good then, how about some cake and coffee before we go our separate ways?"
"Ma'am, you got yerself a deal."
"Leave it to Hoss too take the food offer."
"Come on all you big strong men."
