Raven: The Ice Queen.
Day 14.
Raven stood in front of the camp, as he watches the 13 warriors prepare themselves for today's challenges.
" Last time, the Penguins did the catapults, were successful, earning 3 out of 4 crystals, bringing their total to 40, The polar bears, Ben and Michael did the stepping stones but only collected two crystals, bringing their total to 27, The seals did blind mans bluff, and collected two crystals, bringing their total to 46, and the wolves did the maze, collected all four crystals, bringing their total to 30, only a couple more days to go until the portal opens, and 13 warriors remain, will anymore warriors perish before then", said Raven.
Day 14.
Team: Penguins.
Color: Blue
Members: 3.
Leader: Isabel.
Vice Leader: Dominic
Other: Bridget.
Crystals: 40.
Challenge: Leap of faith.
Isabel, Dominic and Bridget stood next to a giant tree, 20 feet them them are three pouches, two brown, one purple.
Raven approached them.
" Warriors, welcome to your next challenge, a challenge that tests your courage to the absolute limit, what you must do is climb up the tree, once up top, you must leap off and grab a pouch each, leader Isabel will grab the purple that contains two crystals, while Dominic and Bridget will grab the brown pouches, containing one crystal each, but beware, should you land on the ground empty handed, you'll perish", said Raven.
He then left the group.
" So, who want's to go first", said Isabel.
" I will", said Dominic.
" Okay then", said Isabel.
" Good luck Dominic", said Isabel.
Once he has his harness and cord on, Dominic then began climbing the tree, once at the top, he looked at the three pouches and focused on the one he's aiming for.
Once ready, he jumped off the tree, and reached his arms out.
Unfortunately, he missed the pouch, so he then fell down, and vanished before he hit the ground.
" Oh no", said Bridget.
" I really don't want to go next", said Isabel.
" Fine, I'll do it", said Bridget.
Day 14
Team: Polar Bears.
Color: White.
Members: 2.
Warriors: Michael and Ben.
Crystals: 27.
Challenge: Memory game.
Ben and Michael stood in front of a stall, with a merchant next to them, a curtain is covering the inside of the stall.
Raven approached them.
" Warriors, this is a challenge that tests your memory, and how well you pay attention, at the start of the challenge, the merchant will open the curtains, showing you a set of objects, you must remember the objects as you'll only have ten seconds until the curtain closes again, the merchant will then ask you four questions concerning the objects and you must answer correctly, for each question answered correctly, will reward you a crystal", said Raven, he then left the group.
The Merchant then opened the curtain and both Michael and Ben looked at what was inside.
A purple frog with polka dots, a blue fish with stripes, a gold eagle with o marks, a green alligator with zigzags, an orange monkey blank, and a red kangaroo with x marks.
The merchant then closed the curtain, and began to ask the first question.
Raven looked around for the seals, after tending to the other three teams, he noticed the seals were missing.
" The cage traps, hopefully this will be the last time we'll have to worry about it", said Raven.
Day 14.
Team: Seals.
Color: Purple.
Members: 4.
Leader: Samantha.
Vice Leader: Thomas.
Others: Charlie and Charlotte.
Crystals: 46.
Challenge: cage traps.
Samantha, Thomas, Charlie and Charlotte find themselves trapped inside four cages.
Raven approached them.
" Warriors, welcome to the cage traps, as you have noticed, you have been caught in one of the oldest tricks in the book, maybe the crystals were a perfect bait, luckily there are keys, and four of them will unlock the cages and let you out, however, you might want to hurry, if you are in the cages too long, you will perish", said Raven.
He then left the team to begin the challenge.
Samantha picked up a chain of keys and began trying them out on her cage.
Once she was out, she began to try the keys out on Thomas.
It took longer, but she able to get him out, once she got him out, the two began to try them out on Charlie.
They were able to, and now it was just Charlotte left, if they don't get her out in time, she'll perish.
Time was running out, and Charlotte was starting to get nervous.
But, they managed to get her out just in time, and all four warriors left the traps with all four crystals, bringing their total to 50.
Day 14.
Team: Wolves.
Color: Grey.
Members: 4.
Leader: Oliver, (Revived).
Vice leader: Tabitha.
Other: William.
Revived: Sophie.
Crystals: 30.
Challenge: Deep Loch.
Oliver, William, Tabitha and Sophie stood at one side of a giant lake, all dressed in their grey robes, Raven approached them.
" Welcome warriors, to one of my most common challenges, this is the deep loch, at the other side of the loch, is your crystals, what you must do is swim across the lake, and reach the other side to claim your gems, this challenge tests your strength, speed and bravery, to see how well you'll do in cold waters, off you go", said Raven.
And so, William, Oliver, Tabitha and Sophie jumped into the cold icy lake, and began swimming to the other side, ignoring the cold temperature that is agonizing to deal with.
As they were swimming, Raven looked to see a rowboat coming towards them, filled with demons.
" Warriors, swim quicker, demons are coming, I'll try to hold them off, but you might want to hurry up or they'll get you", said Raven.
Tabitha was the first to make it across the loch, and she claimed the first crystal.
Sophie was the second warrior to make it across, and she claimed the second crystal.
William was the third warrior to make it across, and he claimed the third crystal.
And Oliver was the last warrior to cross, claiming the final crystal.
With his staff, Raven blasted the demons and the boat away.
" And hopefully that will be the last time we worry about the demons attacking in the deep loch", said Raven.
Raven then transformed into his bird form, and flew to the other side where the wolves stood, soaking wet.
Once he was back in human form, he approached him.
" That was a close one, it seems that Nevar is getting closer by the minute, but don't worry, I'll try to hold him off and buy you remaining warriors enough time to compete in you final trial tomorrow, now for you wolves, you have 34 crystals in total, and you have all four warriors in your team, tomorrow there is only one challenge that will decide who has the right to join the others in the merge, what separates you wolves from victory are five pedestals, you'll know more about that tomorrow, until then you may head back to camp and dry off", said Raven.
Back with the polar bears, Ben and Michael memorized the objects and the merchant began reading through the questions.
" Which animal had the color purple", said the merchant.
Ben and Michael talked and then gave out the answer, " The frog".
" Correct, question two, which animal was blank", said the Merchant.
" The Monkey", answered Ben.
" Correct, question three, which animal has the zigzags", said the Merchant.
" The Alligator", said Michael.
" Correct, and final question, which two animals has letters for marks, o's and x's", said the Merchant.
Michael and Ben nearly hesitated, but they then gave our their final answer.
" The eagle and the kangaroo", said Michael.
" Correct, you have earned four crystals", said the Merchant, handing Michael the crystals.
Back with the penguins, Dominic had failed Leap of faith and perished, Bridget volunteered to go next.
And so, Bridget put on her harness and cord, and began climbing the tree, once on top, she looked at the brown pouch she was aiming for.
If she fails, she'll be eliminated, and it'll just be Isabel on her own.
She took a deep breath, and was ready.
She then leaped of the tree, and reached her arms out.
With success, she grabbed the brown pouch she was after, and landed on the ground with it safely.
" It's my turn now I guess", said Isabel, sweating nervously.
Once she had her harness and cord on, she climbed up the tree.
Once she reached the top, she looked at the purple bag, which was what she was after, if she fails, then Bridget will be only warrior for the Penguins remaining, and she might not be willing to waste sixteen crystals to bring both her and Dominic back.
She took a deep breath, it was now or never, she then leaped for the pouch.
And with full success, she made it, grasping onto the purple pouch, she landed safely with it.
" Well done Isabel", said Bridget.
" Thanks", said Isabel, they both now knew that have a difficult choice to make.
Raven, then approached them.
" Warriors, although I congratulate you for collecting three gems in this challenge, bringing you to a total of 43, Dominic has fallen and perished, and you must make a choice, you can sacrifice 8 of your gems, and bring him back, or, you can keep the gems, and continue the journey as two", said Raven.
Isabel and Bridget huddled together to make their decision about Dominic.
" He's been a very reliable team player", said Bridget.
" But if we buy him back we'll be down to 35, and I don't know how much the other team have, but we might get overtaken if we bought him back", said Isabel.
They both then turned to Raven.
" Warriors, have you made your decision", said Raven.
" Yes, we're going to keep the gems", said Isabel.
" Are you sure", said Raven.
" Yes", said Isabel.
" Very well then", said Raven, he then lead Isabel and Bridget away from the challenge, back into camp.
13th place: Dominic- Penguin= Eliminated from leap of faith.
" Another day has gone by, the seals still lead with 50 crystals, the penguins, even though have two warriors remaining, have 43 crystals, the wolves are in third with 34 crystals and the polar bears lag behind with 31, only 12 warriors remain, we have only a week left till the quest ends, two days until the portal opens and each team only has one more trial to do tomorrow", said Raven.
Next time on Raven the ice queen, the remaining two Penguins Isabel and Bridget conclude their trials by testing their knowledge in the gypsy's tower, the Polar Bears Ben and Michael conclude their trials by testing their communication and bravery in the dark cave, the Seals conclude their trials by testing their agility in the thrall threads, and the Wolves conclude their trials by testing their agility and bravery in the pedestals, 7 days left till the end of the quest, and two days till the portal opens, tomorrow we begin the conclusion of the trials.
