Episode 11: Attack at the Acorn Fort

It's been a few days since Dr. Eggman has escaped and is now being held in the Prison of New Mobotropolis. Eve and her team have also returned from their mission during the few days. However, the situation with the Iron Dominion, it feels like it's been brutal and difficult

At one of the cities away from New Mobotropolis, a battle is taking place. There is a large fort known as Fort Acorn, a stronghold standing between the city and the dangerous radioactive slag. Among the ones who are fighting are Amadeus Prower, Tails's father, one of the military leaders in charge of protecting Mobius from those who would misuse the city's ruins.

Mr. Prower commands his troops, "Keep firing! The bows and arrows may have failed us, but with these, he's bound to fall!"

Seeing that they are battling against Jun-Kun, the Iron King, battling against him isn't going to be easy.

The Iron King maniacally laughs and says, "Pitiful effort form pitiful beings with pitiful weapons."

He then rams through the stronghold and attacks anyone who stands in his way.

He laughs, "Ha ha ha! I am the Cliffs and you are the waves! You strike and break against me!"

Meanwhile, back in New Mobotropolis, Sonia and Ken are sitting at a table in the marketplace. At the same time, Sonia has been telling Ken one of their adventures.

Sonia says, "And after Sonic defeated the Metal Sonic in the race, he simply ran off. Of course, seeing Eggman was involved, we kind of figure that he didn't have a prize and that he only used it to copy their racing data."

"Somehow, I wouldn't pass him if he only used the race for another one of his plans for world domination," Ken says.

Then smiles, "I'm honestly amazed, Sonia. After all you and your Freedom Fighters have faced, you're still together."

"I suppose so. Still, I think most of the credit should go to Sonic and Eve. They both mostly fought Dr. Eggman and are able to stop him every time, even though we weren't with them," Sonia says.

"I'm not sure about that. You all do your best to hold together as a group, including friends for over ten years and beat Dr. Eggman multiple times. It not just Sonic and Eve who were able to stop Dr. Eggman, you all did," Ken says.

Sonia smiles and says, "Thanks Ken, that's really sweet of you. Even though you can be a bit hot-tempered."

"I'm only saying what I've felt since the day you rescued me," Ken says.

Suddenly, Nicole calls out, "Sonia! Ken! We've got a problem."

Sonia and Ken turn their heads to see Sally and Nicole.

Nicole stops and asks, "I'm sorry, were we interrupting… something…?"

"I-it's alright, Nicole. What's wrong?" Sonia replies.

"I have received word from the soldiers stationed at Fort Acorn that they're under attacked by the Iron King," Nicole says.

"Oh my gosh! Where are…?" Sonia replies shocked.

Nicole answers, "I took the initiative and sent Sonic, Eve, and Tail to rescue Commander Prower and his men.I'm sorry if I overstepped my…"

"Not at all, Nicole," Sally says.

Ken speaks up and asks, "I'm sorry. I'm lost. What's going on?"

"Fort Acorn is a protective barracks built to guard the ruins of one of the old cities that was part of the Eggman Empire," Nicole says.

"And besides the obvious, what's the problem?" Ken replies, confused.

"Well, some places are a little more than toxic, radioactive slag right now. Nicole used her nanites to build an energy-converter that both cleans up this mess and provides the city with power," Sally answers.

"Which means the Iron King is out to pollute the region and leave this city defenseless now I'm up to speed," Ken answers.

"I'll have Nicole keep tabs on you and rally reinforcements if you need them," Sally says.

"Between me and Sonic? This should be a breeze," Ken says.

"Don't get overconfident, Ken," Sonia says.

"Overconfident? I'm not sure about that," Ken replies.

Ken then uses his bat to create a cloud and helps Sonia hop on. Then they both fly into the sky to get to their destination.

Nicole asks, "Are you alright, Sally?"

"I don't know, Nicole… I've got a lot of thinking to do," Sally answers.

Meanwhile, Mr. Prower is fighting against the Iron King.

He charges over as he swings his sword, "Stop, blast you! I will not allow you too…"

But when he swings his sword at the Iron King's armor, it shatters. He gasps in shock to see what has become of his sword.

"Gnat. Speck." The Iron King says, and picks Mr. Prower up from his shirt.

He mocks, "None can stand against the Iron King."

Just then someone says, "Then we'll just spin dash against you!"

Suddenly, two spin dashes of blue, black and red strike at the Iron King making him drop Mr. Prower. One of the spin dashes, who is Eve catch Mr. Prower and land on the ground.

"Are you okay, Commander?" Eve asks.

"I'll be fine. Nicely done," Mr. Prower says.

"That was, wasn't it?" Sonic says with confidence.

Then says, "Tails is evacuating everyone from what's left of the fort. We'll handle Iron Pants."

Sonic and Eve head off to keep the Iron King busy as Mr. Prower and his men are heading towards a large vehicle made of tough metal. Mr. Prower head inside to see Tails.

Tails turns to see his dad and waves, "Hey!"

"Happy to see you, too. Son… but where did you get this?" Mr. Prower asks, curious and surprised.

"Isn't it great? Nicole built it with her nanites!" Tails says.

"And you can fly it? Just like that?" Mr. Prower asks, taking a seat and buckling up.

"Sure. Are you okay?" Tails replies.

"I'm fine, Tails. Just very impressed-and very proud," Mr. Prower answers.

Tails smiles to hear his dad saying that. He then starts the engines once everyone is inside and closes the hatch. Then takes flight into the sky to take everyone to safety. Sonic and Eve look to see Tails flying the ship away from the area.

"Sweet! Everybody's safe!" Sonic says.

Suddenly, a familiar bellow voice says, "Not everyone!"

Eve grabs Sonic and dodges the attack.

Sonic says "Whoops! Sorry, I forgot about him for a second!"

"Try to focus on taking the creep in the armor," Eve says.

"Right. And since we can't put a ding in his armor," Sonic says with a smirk.

Eve makes a smirk on her face and joins Sonic on the attack. With that, both Hedgehogs begin to spin dash around as Jun-Kun look at the two hedgehogs. Soon enough, Jun-Kun begins to get buried and sink into the ground.

"We'll just take him out of commission until we can think of something better," Sonic says.

Eve laughs, "Well Sonic, it looks like we stopped him in his tracks big time.

"Yeah. Maybe we could plant some tomatoes here. They could grow up around his horns. We'll call him the 'Iron Planter.' Sonic says.

Eve ends up laughing from her brother's humor. Suddenly Jun-Kun begins to struggle making the two turn to him.

"Would he prefer beans?" Sonic questions.

The Iron King becomes boiled with rage that he burst out of the ground, knocking the hedgehogs over. He then walks up to them with a vicious glare.

"Insolent children! All who have opposed me have fallen!" Jun-Kin says with rage.

Before the Iron King can attach, Monkey Khan swings his bat at him as he says, "then why am I still standing, Jun-Kun?"

"Nice entrance, Monkey-boy," Sonic comments.

Sonia also joins the scene and turns to her cousins, "Are you guys alright?"

"We're fine. Thanks for making sure he didn't crush us," Eve says.

Suddenly they turn to hear Jun-Kun say to Ken, "You are too familiar in your tone. I am the Iron King and nothing less to you."

"The oppressed have named me the 'King of the Free People' and I'll have you kneel to me for your crimes," Ken angrily says.

Suddenly, Sonic says, "Listen, you guys can have fun posing and throwing titles around. I'm going to chill here until you decide to actually do something. Just make it today, okay?"

Eve and Sonia roll their eyes, "Oh brother."

Back in New Mobotropolis, Sally and Nicole decide to visit Antoine and Bunnie.

Antoine allows her in, "Welcome, ma princess!"

Sally-girl," Bunnie happily says.

Sally walks inside as she says, "Hey, guys. Hope I'm not interrupting anything?"

"Shoot-no, Sugar-twan was about to get us some lunch," Bunnie says.

Antoine turns to Bunnie, "But only if you are sure you would be okay without me here to…"

"Sugar, for the millionth time, ah'm fine," Bunnie whines.

"I shall not be the delaying my love," Antoine says and blows her a kiss.

Then leaves to the kitchen with Sally pushing her in. Once Antoine is gone, Sally comes and sits down with Bunnie.

"He was there when Dr. Quack said you'd be ready for active duty again by next week, right?" Sally asks.

"He's the sweetest, and ah love him, but he… he's about to worry me to death!" Bunnie says.

She sighs and says, "But y'all know ah'm fine, so that int why you here."

"I can't hide anything from you, can I?" Sally questions.

"Not from your best friend. What's up, Sally-girl?" Bunnie asks.

Sally then asks, "I'm still a bit skeptical about it, but what do you think about my relationship with Sonic?"

"Well, you two have been great friends since we were all youngin', and you both are very close to one another," Bunnie says.

"I know, but I feel that we're not in a real relationship. We most spent our time fighting against Dr. Eggman and other kinds of villains," Sally says.

"I suppose it's understandable. We've been spending a lot of our time fighting Dr. Eggman," Bunnie says.

"I know, but I feel that our relationship is complicated and we hardly dated either," Sally says.

Interested, Bunnie asks, "You want to ask him out."

"Well, I kind of do, but I don't know. I don't even know," Sally says, and groans.

"That's what datin' is for sugar. You test the water and see if things click into place," Bunnie says.

"I'm the field leader of a small strike force trying to overthrow the seat of power that's terrorizing the entire world. I don't really have time to 'date'" Sally says,

"Ah never said it was easy, but ah know you pretty well. Ah know you'll think of something," Bunnie says.

Then says, "Besides, Eve is going out with someone and still not sure if he's Mr. Right."

"I suppose you're right. From what I know of, she has a bit of a habit of attracting strong, positive, types, "Sally says.

"Same can be said about you. You're self reliant, but ah think you like to have someone who can protect you as well as you'd protect them. And ah think part of it has to be you can trust him. Ah don't think you've given any, fella the time of day if he couldn't be your friend first. They say opposite attracts. And it's true for you. You like to have a handle on the situation, and while it might drive you up the wall, you just can't help but like a guy who's a bit reckless. That said, you're a selfless person, and you like that quality in others. You want somebody as willing to give his all for everyone else as you are, " Bunnie says.

While Bunnie explains to Sally, Sonic, Eve, Sally, and Ken continue to fight against Jun-Kun. Jun-Kin swings his club, at then, but the hedgehogs dodge the attack. Sonic and Eve spin dash at him, while Sonia uses her spin tornado at him. Jun-Kun nearly strikes Sonia with his club, but Ken uses his bat to repel the attack.

Back in the house Sally wipes the tears from her face and says, "You really do know me."

"To a 'T' sugah. You just follow you li'l ol' heart, and you'll find the way to make it work," Bunnie says.

Then gives Sally a hug, "Y'all just gotta be brave enough to make the first move. The boys can be dense about that sort of thing."

"Thank you, Bunnie. I think I know what I'll do," Sally says.

The two girls continue to hug each other with smiles and support for each other.

Meanwhile, Sonic and Ken are now trapped in Jun-Kun's grip

He says, "Now… who shall I choose to crush first? My old nemesis… or the local would-be 'hero'...?"

Just then, Eve then jumps on Jun-Kun and rapidly speeds her feet on it, "How about 'C' None of the above?"

Ken then stabs his armor with his back, "Fall back!"

Jun-Kun has fallen back, but turns to the force field, "Bah! Come to me as much as you want. I will always win."

"This is ridiculous!" Sonic says.

Ken coughs as Sonia tends to him, "I've never found any weakness to him…"

We hit him with everything we got, and he's still standing," Sonic says.

Suddenly Jun-Kun begins to bang at the force field with full force.

He angrily yells, "Blasted cities with their blasted shields! YOU WILL FALL TO ME!"

The group looks to see the Iron King is bashing the force field as hard as he can.

"Sheesh. That guy just won't give up will he," Sonia says.

"You said it. This is stupid. We can't do anything to stop him, but we can't just stand here, either," Sonic says, having his arms crossed and taps his foot on the ground.

"No kidding. That guy was tough when we fought him until Sonia used that Fan on him. The only thing I'm also wondering is what his body's made of," Eve says.

"Well, I'm out of ideas. I already told you he stole the Fan of Fen Xing and he's invulnerable. The only advantage we have is his ego and the fact that… he isn't incredibly bright," Ken says.

"You forgot to mention aggressive and all brawn," Eve says.

Suddenly Sonic snaps his fingers, "I've got it! That's how we beat him!"

"What? How?" Ken says, confused.

"Let me worry about that. You and the girls distract him somehow. Let him beat you guys up some more, maybe?" Sonic says, and speeds off.

Sonic thinks, "Hmm, what's he up to?"

"I have no idea, but let's focus on distracting him," Eve answers.

Sonia and Ken nod their heads in reply, and hurry off to distract the Iron King. As the three distract Jun-Kun, Sonic then reaches a large machine that is connected to the force field.

Sonic calls out, "Yo, Nicole! This thing has a direct line to the city, right? I need you pronto!"

Nicole appears and soon hears the loud sound.

She asks, "What was that?"

"Never mind… just listen! I've got a plan, and I need it done in under a minute, and you're the only one who can pull it off," Sonic says.

"Um, okay," Nicole says

Sonic then whispers the plan to Nicole. Meanwhile, Ken, and the girls continue to fight against Jun-Kun. Ken tries to attack him from behind with his bat, but Jun-Kun grabs Ken. When the girls try to attack, he throws Ken at them, making them fall to the ground. Jun-Kun then walks over to them as the three friends try to get up.

Suddenly, Sonic shouts, "Whoa! Hey! Time out!"

The Iron King turns his head to see Sonic.

The hedgehog calls out, "We give. You win."

"What?!" Ken and the girls say shocked. Even Jun-Kun is skeptic.

Then Sonic says, "On one condition: You just destroy the power siphon and leave the shield alone. New Mobotropolis will lose its power, but the rest of the area won't get polluted."

Hearing that Eve realizes and says in her thoughts, "Oh, I get it what Sonic is doing, very clever."

Jun-Kun walks to Sonic and questions, "You'd give up your city to protect the environment?"

"Just cutting our losses. You're just too much, so why delay the inevitable?" Sonic replies.

Jun-Kun then places his hand on Sonic's head and ruffles it, "It's about time you got that through your thick skull. Make way and marvel at my power."

He then walks away from Sonic and begins to bash the machine with his club. Ken and the girls walk to Sonic who are skeptic.

"Okay, what's really going on?" Ken whispers.

Sonic says, "I had Nicole rebuild the power siphon underground. Iron Doofus is smashing an empty shell."

Eve and Sonia snickers as they covers their mouths.

"And by the time he find out he's been tricked, we'll be long gone and New Mobotropolis will be even more secured," Ken whispers.

"Bingo," Sonic replies.

Eve says, "Talk about well play. You really tricked Jun-Kun with this one."

"Thank you," Sonic says.

"Then let's get back to New Mobotropolis before Jun-Kun finishes smashing that machine," Sonia says.

With that, the four then hurry back to New Mobotropolis before Jun-Kun even notice they're gone.

Later on, the group returns to New Mobotropolis.

"Mission accomplished, Sal. Where's Tails?" Sonic says.

"He's with Amadeus, checking on the wounded. Nicole filled me in on your plan. Nice work, guys."

"Credit goes to Sonic for the quick thinking," Ken says.

"It wouldn't have without without your ever-so-punch-able face, M.K," Sonic says.

"Oh stop," Ken replies.

"I mean it!" Sonic says.

"I know. I do, too," Ken says.

"Alright you two, we get it. Let's not forget that Eve and I helped," Sonia says.

"I know. You two were great," Sonic says.

Sonia then takes Ken by his arm and says, "Come with me Ken. There's something I want us to talk about."

"O-okay…?" Ken says, confused.

Soon Sonia and Ken begin to walk down the street together.

Sally soon grabs Sonic's arm, "Come on Sonic. I think that you and I need to hang out. I also like to talk to you about something."

"Sure," Sonic answers.

Soon, Sonic and Sally leave together in a different direction. Eve smiles to see the two couples leaving together. However, she can't help, but feel concern for her mom, especially for what Knuckles has explained to her about what the Iron Queen wants them for. She hopes they'll be okay, wherever they are.

Meanwhile, the Iron Queen is not pleased to find out New Mobotropolis still has power and the siphon that Jun-Kun has destroyed is a fake.

She shouts in rage, "Idiots! I'm surrounded by Idiots! My glorious conquest of this continent has been sulled by your incompetence!"

"B-b-b-but I…" Snively nervously says.

Jun-Kun says, "... It looked like the power siphon to me…"

"Enough!" The Iron Queen shouts with rage.

Then says, "I will be in my chambers!"

The Iron Queen then leaves the throne room to go to her chamber.

Jun-Kun says, "Hrmph. She wasn't always so demanding and shill."

"Oh? I wouldn't know," Snivley replies.

Jun Kun then explains, "When we first started out, she was much softer-spoken. She used her technomagic to awaken the long dormant machines of the land to aid me in my conquest of the Dragon Kingdom. But our efforts were usually crushed by one or more of the warring ninja clans, or the Free people we sought to control. We couldn't get a foothold in the Region at all. That all changed when he came."

"You must mean my uncle," Snively asks.

Jun-Kun answers, "Yes. Old Mobotropolis was firmly under his control, and he ws spreading his influence around the world. It was Regina who convinced him to endorse us as his regional sub-bosses. I hated to serve any man, but the supplies and forced he outfitted us with gave us the hedge we needed. We became the Iron King and Queen, and from the Iron Fortress we reigned over the helpless free people of the Dragon Kingdom! Of course, the Freedom Fighters of that region still interfaces. There was also the Four Houses who still vied for control. And since we couldn't now complete, they turned even greater forces against us. As mighty as I am, even I cannot fight a war on four fronts."

"So then what happened after that?" Snively asks.

"At first, Regina tried to buy off one of the clan leaders, but the Bride of Rich Nights insisted she could not be bought. So I destroyed her. Regina took credit for it. However, to make herself the new Bride of the Yagyu Clan. I didn't see much point to it then, but… Then she sent the Yagyu to aid our enemies in their battles at random. She spread rumors that each of the other houses had sworn allegiance to us and the Yagyu's activities proved it. Each of the Brides feared they would be overrun and destroyed, so they each swore their allegiance to Regina and made her the new Bride of Four Houses. I was content to solidify our hold over the Dragon Kingdom, but then she received word from you that Dr. Eggman was about to fall. I didn't want to go, but she had been right about everything else, so I followed her…"

He then glares at Snively, "And now I am the butt of those Hedgehog's jokes, and I'm being yelled at by her. All thanks to you."

"I… well… she… but…" Snively says, and is really scared.

Then panics, "Please don't squash me."

The Iron King then turns away, "You're not worth the effort to scrape off my hoof. I must rest and meditate on how to bring down that blasted shield over New Mobotropolis."

The Iron King continues to walk away, making Snively sighs in relief.

Snively turns away and lets out a grin, "Meditate all you want, you oaf. I have already figure out how Regina will conquer the city. I even have a little backup plan in case the first idea didn't work. And when she finally rules the world, I will be her Iron King… and you'll be hamburger!"

Sniverly simply leaves the area and has a plan on how to penetrate the force field to get into the city. Even if his plan doesn't work, he also has a back up plan. He just need a little time for that one to work.
